Christmas Eve Decluttering Porn & Thursday's Plan

Wow!
No posts this morning?
I guess everyone is out there sleeping off Christmas......at least, all MY friends are.....hehehehehe

As promised in my title, a bit of porn......

Add in two empty storage tubs I no longer need to this donation lot, that I didn't get a picture of before they headed out the door.

Hubs only had off Wednesday so he's back at work.  No lazing around the house and being slugs the rest of this week for us!  I might as well get a jump on things that need doing so here are my 5 goals for Thursday......

* Pay the last of the monthly bills and get them mailed.  DONE!

* Work on gathering 1 last donation lot for 2013 which will include some more business merchandise, some odds and ends and outgrown clothing from #2 Son as well.  He gleaned 2 garbage bags of outgrown duds from his dresser....no wonder he didn't have room in there for any of the clothes he actually wears! lolz  In Progress....an all day job

* Finish copying all my auction management/eBay listing html codes into Office so I can pull the plug on my subscription to the auction management company and that monthly fee on Dec. 27th.
Didn't even start yet.  sigh

*  Work on my December Food Budget post and Yearly Totals as I won't be spending any more $$ at the grocery store this year.  We have enough leftovers and foodstuffs in the freezer to get through the next week until New Year's Day.  DONE!

*  Lastly, figure out how to spend my expiring +Up Rewards at Rite-Aid and actually go use them before Friday night.  DONE!

* I might take a break and watch a movie too if I get enough done.  Didn't happen and I still have stuff to gather for tomorrow's trip to Sallies.  sigh

  1. Just wondering Sluggy, are there any beanie babies out there that are worth anything these days? I see them for sale at every garage sale I go to around here.

    1. Not really.....the only ones you can get anything for are some of the original ones...flutter, old face teddies, original dinos(not much tho), the special private beanies(like the billionaire bear, #1 bear, etc.)or just released ones(but those you can't find for less than retail and you have to be able to sell them FAST! before the prices drop).
I'd pass on beanies at a garage sale unless you know what to look for and you have time to let them sit for sale somewhere because IF you can sell them, you'll have a long wait for the right person to come along.

  2. I'm sure the charities can use the Beanie Babies. Every dollar counts for them. I will be gathering stuff this week, too, though I fear most of it will end up at the recycling center since no one wants or needs old CRT monitors or printers that don't print.

    Peace <3

    1. Jay,
Take out the cartridges or (long ink things) and recycle at Staples, Office Max, or Office Depot for credit on future purchases. This is how I get office supplies for grandchildren, everything they need, what I want, and enough to donate.

    2. I have about two dozen in the package that I went to no extra trouble to purchase with food. Yes, that was when I did eat a bit more fast food. I may just save those for the Christmas Child Shoe Box campaign. I have a box where I put things for that project.

    3. Linda,
Thanks for the reminder! I always forget to take them with me. I buy at Staples, I get a small business discount which helps when your business is very small. I doubt there's much left in these old things that useful, but it's worth a try!
