I "Heart" My Cardiologist.....Usually

I had an appointment today with the cardiologist at 10:45am.   I arrived and checked in at 10:35am.

Here I am at 11:00am still waiting......

Here I am at 11:15am and still no doctor.....

Here I am at 11:25am.......guess who STILL hasn't seen the dr. yet?

Here's a shot of my "dumb phone"....note the time.....I have heard rumors that there is medical personnel somewhere in the building.....just not in the room I'm in.......

Am I agitated?
Is my blood pressure going up?
Can I make more weird faces??
You bet!

My petulant inner child had decided to storm out at high noon if I hadn't been attended to by then.

The doc finally came into the room at 11:52am.....for a 10:45am appointment.

If he wasn't such a cutie I would have bitched at him.

Not only is he a fine heart doc but he is a lover of classical Indian dance.
Doc is on the left in this photo I found online......

Who would have thunk it?!

    2. This was a stupid comment. Emergency heat attack vs. Planned heart attack? You know what I meant.

  2. I love you!!! You are too funny. I once had a 9:30 dentist appt. at 1:00 pm, and yes numerous times of me going to the front desk, a nurse finally looked at me then looked at the schedule and was embarrassed that she thought I was waiting on a ride home and that I had already been seen.Sheesh!! lol

  3. Unfortunately too many doctors are always "running late". My GP disappeared for a year, then resurfaced in private practice, where he now sees only 6-10 patients a DAY. It's nice to get an hour with your doctor when you need it.

    Peace <3

    1. I doubt I am coordinated enough now to do that style of dancing. I'd end up looking like a 3 day drunk after a night of playing Twister.....

  7. At least he's a good doctor and worth waiting for. It happens. I hope that your appointment with him wasn't rushed after all that waiting.

  8. If I had a doctor that hot, I would go all the time. LOL Mine isn't bright or cute and has a nasty disposition.

  9. I had a 1 pm appt. I had to leave my house at 11 am to make sure I was there on time. Around 2 pm, I started hitting the baskets of Christmas candy very often. I was polite enough to get several pieces out of each of the half dozen baskets around the huge waiting room and off the counter. Finally, at about 4:30 I just gave a insincere 'I am sorry, but I am hungry," took the basket and unashamedly just put it in my lap and ate candy. I saw the doctor after 5 pm and told him he was going to have to serve lunch and dinner if I were going to have to wait that long again. I told the same thing to the nurse giving me appt for surgery and meds.

I just love this doctor. I asked his nurse before surgery if he was into drugs, drink, or carousing because I wanted a doctor who was in good shape when he took my knee apart. She said he has three interests--church, family, and medicine. That relieved me lots, not that being religious mattered. He is also a very nice person. I have two more surgeries planned with him.
