I'm not planning to spend any money on remodeling ( or very little) but I'm planning on working on a few things here int he next few weeks with what I already have on hand, and post about it :)
ReplyDeleteI didn't even know Axe made things for girls. No house or apartment for me, so I don't worry about re-decorating. I'll do that when I get a place of my own. The most I'll be spending in this new place is for curtains...
ReplyDeleteI am fixing to (yes I am Southern)work on our sun porch. This will involve lots of elbow grease and some new furniture! The walls and woodwork need sanding and painting. There are 7 windows, 2 french doors, baseboards and crown molding. Wooo- got my work cut out for me! Angela
ReplyDeleteHoney, I have plans to fix up this house all the time! You know its what I love to complain about most. I'm hoping we get a new fence but I may be a bit to cheap for that one.
ReplyDeleteRight now we are focusing on the outdoor space. Increasing the size of the veggies garden. I have a "home maintenance" budget this comes out of :)
ReplyDeleteToday, I was trying to get the little ac in right. It was moved from another window where it worked perfectly. ??? Then, I discovered the filter cannot be removed while the ac is in the window where it is now. Plus, today I started my planting if you can believe that I am so late. Four vinegar jug bottoms are painted and are being pressed into service for herbs. I used paint that I have had for awhile. My stevia plant will be the first thing to go into a pot.
ReplyDeleteMy brother's come every summer and fix things around my house. This year's list includes fixing the doors - front and back - so they will close/lock and painting one side of my house (last year they painted the front). In just 4 years, the whole outside will get painted! There's a whole list of things they do for me every year, like cleaning out the gutters, and trimming all the trees/bushes. I'm so lucky to have them!
ReplyDeleteThere are a lot of things around my house that need to be fixed, but I have to wait on my ex-husband to get them done, so I wait and wait and wait...
ReplyDeleteThere are a few things I can do myself. One of those projects is my four exterior doors need to be re-painted. They were stained dark before, and I painted them a nautical blue in 2003. It's definitely time to paint them again! Especially the two that are exposed to the weather. The other two are quite protected inside a breezeway, so I will evaluate those two when I determine how much paint is left after the first two.
I have to paint when the weather will be dry and warm for several days, so that means it will most likely wait until mid August or even into September.
BTW--I won't need to spend any money on paint. I still have about 3/4 of a can left from the original painting.
ReplyDeleteNo plans for remodeling. Just cleaning and decluttering for us.
ReplyDeleteYou are on my blogroll.
ReplyDeleteDiane, may I borrow your brothers?
ReplyDeleteOK, another project I NEED to work on this summer, is to continue cleaning stuff OUT of my garage. It's an extremely over-sized double car garage, but there isn't even room to squeeze in a bicycle. :O Stuff's gotta go!
I started using the power sander on the walls and woodwork today. Ugh- all that dust- I have a headache. Love your living room choices but i am with you that the chair and rug both in circles might be too much of a good thing. : ) Angela
ReplyDeleteI think maybe I will replace some blinds in our apartment. Ours are somewhat dingy and our management only replaces blinds when people move out.
