I lived in Southern Illinois as a youngster, near the Kentucky border (Ohio River). I thought "sweet tea" was one word until I was in first grade.
ReplyDeleteLOL...I similarly grew up near the Va/NC line, thinking "Damn Yankees" was one word. ;-)
DeleteThanks for visiting.
My NY inlaws were determined they were going to get me to drink AND to give up iced tea for hot tea (in the summer with no ac???), but I refused to have any alcoholic beverages or hot drinks. My heart belongs to iced tea.
ReplyDeleteHahaha. I had to share that with my southern friends. Too cute. I myself am not a fan of cold tea, but I do love hot teas!
ReplyDeleteMy MIL is from TN and I'm a northern girl. I will hang my head in shame forever but my MIL says that I can make sweet tea with the best of them.
