Here's how this is going to work.....

* The giveaway is open to ALL readers, previous winners or not.
* There is a limit of ONE ENTRY PER PERSON PER DAY.  Come back each day to enter again.
* Only VALID entries will be posted.  A Valid entry is a limit of one per day and I MUST HAVE VALID CONTACT INFORMATION FOR YOU(either you are on the Giveaway Contact List which I maintain, your comment is connected to a Google/Blogger profile which links to your email address or you email me directly(my email is in the side bar on the Blog)your email address.
IF YOU ENTER THE GIVEAWAY AND DON'T SEE YOUR COMMENT AFTER A DAY OR SO(Give me time to post the entries each day)THAT MEANS YOUR ENTRY ISN'T VALID DUE TO ONE OF THE ABOVE REASONS AND IT IS UP TO YOU TO FIX YOUR ENTRY!
I will no longer spend time hunting down folks.  If you want to win, read ALL the rules and do the work.

From all the VALID entries I receive I'll pick a winner at random and the winner has 48 hours from when the post goes live to contact me with their full mailing address.

In your entries I'd like to hear about whether you celebrate St. Patrick's Day and how(hopefully it's not by drinking green beer until you pass out but hey! if that's your thing, no judgement!)  Do you make a special St. Patty's Day meal and what? Do you have Irish ancestry?  Have you taken a DNA test to confirm how Irish you are and what is the percentage?
Since I did my DNA testing back in 2013 I recently checked and my results has changed a bit as the genetic pool of participants has changed/enlarged.  I've got 3 grandparents on my paternal side with surnames of O'Brien, McCarthy and Kelleher, then add Foster, Roach, Carey and Healey on the Great Grandparents surnames on the paternal side and there's no way I can deny I've got a fair amount of Irish in me. ;-)

If you are on my Giveaway emails list just leave a comment and your name(with last name initial please)to enter. If you aren't on the Giveaway emails list make sure you leave your email in your comment OR email me your email privately after you leave a comment(my email is in the side bar area under "About Me").
I'll leave this giveaway open until March 19th, Friday at 11:59 pm Eastern  Daylight Savings Time. On March 20th, Saturday, I'll draw the winning entry and post the Winner.

*Please note these rules*
I'll post the name/ID of the winners on this blog on  and those persons have 48 hours from the time stamp on that post to contact me privately via email(my email addy is listed on my "About Me" page, as well as on my side bar).

Disclaimer--This giveaway is open to those with mailing addresses within the US only.  As the cost of postage to foreign countries has gotten too high I am sorry to say I can no longer afford to mail boxes outside the US.  These giveaways are not sponsored by any companies.  I pay for it all(the cost of items given away and the postage to mail it all)out of my own pocket.

***PLEASE NOTE***

Please make sure there is a way for me to contact you in your comment.

If you're not a registered Blogger User with YOUR CONTACT INFORMATION on your User page, please put your email addy in your comment or email me your email addy privately when you leave a comment so I can get a hold of you. If your Blogger associated user profile is a GOOGLE one make sure your email info is linked to your profile.

So let's get this Giveaway started. Good luck to everyone!!!

  3. No plans to celebrate St. Patty's day but this is my birthday month so I will be partying all the time!

  4. English and German heritage here. My husband doesn't like corned beef and cabbage so if I want it must find a friend cooking it or pick up a few slices from a deli to snack on.

  5. I never have anything special to eat, but may find something. This year, I have a shamrock on the door. And, it sparkles. My mother's family is Scots-Irish. The surnames bear this out. But, I have never checked DNA.

  6. I am not Irish, but always make cabbage and a green dessert for the day.

  7. We float as Hubby is German and I am 1 % of everything possible LOL. We might do corn beef hash. Hubby's great grandmother always celebrated planting peas on St Patty's day. We plan to do that this year.

  8. I have a smidge of Iris heritage on my dad's side. St Patrick's day , before last year, was usually happy hour with friends that might move into dinner. I like a good Rueben anytime, and that's the closest to corn beef and cabbage meal that I'll likely have.

  9. My middle son always cooks corn beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots for St. Paddy Dad. I havent done the DNA but research shows. My Dads family from Ireland and Scotland way back in the 1700's.

  11. St. Patrick's Day has always been special; mainly because in my Irish History Book my ancestor (at least my maiden name was the King that united all of the Irish People), I married a man whose ancestry comes from County Cork, but more than anything in my house we LOVE corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and carrots and for good measure sometimes a good green beer......Happy St Patty's Day,

  12. My paternal great-grandparents immigrated to the USA from Ireland so I've got some Irish in me ;) When I was younger we would attend a parade and then have a big party at my grandparents house. Now I try to wear green and maybe make something green for dinner. Other than that we don't really celebrate.b

  13. I was a bartender for many years. I worked in an Irish Bar and everyone wanted green beer!

  14. No Irish blood here and no traditional celebration, but I did make a cute St. Patrick's Day wreath for a friend who celebrates the day. nonnashere@gmail.com

  15. Of course you are Irish, stubborn, small, wily Joe's great grandmother was Nellie Ireland, I am afraid not much in me. I have the house decorated for ST Patty's day and I usually cook cornedbeef and cabbage, I make soda bread and some kind of a green dessert, like a pistachio tart.

  16. My aunt was born on St. Patrick's Day so there was always a celebration, although not with the traditional foods.

  17. We always celebrated when the kids were home but now they've moved out is honestly just another day in my house.

  18. While we don't typically celebrate St. Patrick's Day, there is occasionally a pot of corned beef/cabbage/potatoes. Thanks! --Angie O.

  19. We always do corned beef and cabbage on St Pat's, not because we are Irish but because we can!

  20. Just checked the grocery flyers for the week. Looks like cabbage and red potatoes are in my cart for the week. Cabbage down to .39 a pound.

  21. I cook corned beef, potatoes and cabbage once a year sometime in March. Husband loves this meal, me not so much.

  24. I can only eat about three or four strings of sauerkraut on a sandwich without adverse reactions. My allergies! But, I love the rest of the Reuben sandwich.

  25. While there will be no big St. Patrick's celebration I am celebrating my birthday month by getting my second Covid vaccination. Here's hoping the side effects are too bad!

  28. My mom celebrated all the holidays for us kids when we were little. I seem to remember green pancake syrup on our pancakes. She made it and put in a little syrup holder you couldn't see through so when we poured our syrup it was always a surprise.

  29. I usually buy cheap cabbage this time of year but didn’t see any sales last weekend. Kroger has asparagus for $.99 per pound again so may make a trip there this weekend.

  30. I have three heads of cabbage in my refrigerator, so it looks like it could be good for a St. Patrick's Day feast.

    ReplyDelete
  31. I have a green top I will wear on St. Patrick's Day. I remember as a small child in grade school that everyone not wearing green would be pinched!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Went to Kroger today and no cabbage sale but I did pick up asparagus. It’s green and I like it more anyway.

  33. Still debating if I will get a small corn beef. Sounds so yummy. Just have to see if my oldest son wants some if I buy and cook one. Otherwise I will be the only one eating it.

  34. From the sounds of the weather report this morning we could be in for a really chilly St. Pat's day. The few days of high 60's last week really had me spoiled; I had to drag out the winter coat this morning!

    ReplyDelete
  35. 14 degrees this morning. Who knows what we will get on St. Patrick's Day. Could be in the 60's or snowy. Got to love Nevada weather. This holiday always reminds me of spring so hoping for spring weather.

  36. I think I'll make some corned beef and cabbage in the crockpot for my dad. I like it, the Irish daughter does not!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Don't really know if I have any Irish blood in me - and I don't really have green in my wardrobe so tomorrow may just be another day!

    ReplyDelete
  38. I found three St. Pat buttons, so we will wear those if we leave the house on Wednesday. With the weather forecast, we may not open the door!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Not sure I sent in my comment for the 16th. Kind of got side tracked this morning. If not just wanted to say I am waiting for the corn beef to go down in price right after the 17th then we'll see about getting a small one.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Gotta find my green for tomorrow! Hope you have a great St. Patty's Day!

    ReplyDelete
  41. Happy St. Patrick's Day everyone! Wear your green so you don't get pinched.

  43. I didn't celebrate St. Pat's day but it does signal exactly one week until my birthday! Hoping to celebrate a little bigger this year than I did last :0
