I earned back $8 in new BC(2 x $2 Renuzit, 2 x $1 Colgate, 1 x $2 Better for You Oral Care).
I also submitted the candy bar purchases to SwagBucks and Checkout51 and got back $4.50 total there and $5.50 on Ibotta(for the Renuzits and Revlon plus a .50¢ Renuzit Bonus) so after all rebates/BC this was a .57¢ moneymaker. 8-)

*  I had a $5 Midweek Moneymaker Bonus on Ibotta on 15 rebates.  Between 2 rebates done at Rite-Aid (6 Renuzits, Revlon eye item and a .50¢ Renuzit Bonus=$5.50)and 13 rebates done at Weis(PMITA)Markets plus a Kozy Shack .50¢ Bonus($20.99)I got the $5 Bonus so $31.49 total cash back in rebates.  I spent $40.25 OOP and earned back $2 in Bonus Cash too(Renuzits)so total OOP after BC and rebates was $6.76.  Nice. 8-)

*  I found money!

Last Friday I went to Weis to get some Fantastic Friday Deals(Salmon for $4.99 lb!!)and snagged this penny by the self-checkout machine.

Last Saturday was a honey hole of change at Rite-Aid!  I found a dime by the wipe dispenser, then 2 pennies tucked under the candy rack by the register and then a third penny back by the pharmacy.

On Monday, again at Rite-Aid I found a shiny new penny in front of the register counter on the floor.

On Wednesday I took a trip to Weis(PMITA)Markets and found 11 cents under my favorite self-checkout machine.

Total Change This Week.... .26¢
Total Change This Year....$2.40

That's about it for this week other than no Eating Out/Take-Out and no other spending besides food and HBA.

What frugalness did you have this past week?
Tell us all about it!

*****Covid Vaccine Update****

This is the strangest thing.
I guess I put it out into the universe yesterday, both on the blog and was venting to my dentist(and her to me)while she repaired my broken tooth about this whole clusterf**k situation on getting an appointment for a vaccine here in PA.

I got a phone call around 8pm Monday night(which I didn't answer thankfully)that went to voice mail.  When I went up to bed later I played the voice mail and it was a pharmacist at a Rite-Aid up in Sayre PA(right on the NY border across from Elmira NY).  He said to call him back.  My first thought was that they had a shot appointment open(vaccine on the brain lately here!lol)even though I KNOW Rite-Aid's system doesn't keep your info when you go on their website looking for an appointment opening and they don't have a waiting list you can sign up for.

But I had a feeling so I went on the R-A website and searched stores in that general area and I FOUND A VACCINE APPOINTMENT IN A R-A ABOUT 20 MINUTES SOUTH OF SAYRE!!!  And yes, I am screaming. ;-)
Of course it's a nighttime appointment and we are suppose to get icky weather today/tonight but I don't care!
Just to be sure, I called this R-A this morning with my confirmation info to make sure it's not a mistake(what? Rite-Aid make a mistake?!lol)and I am really on the list because it would be annoying to drive all that way just to find out I don't have an actual appointment.  And yes, I am in like Flint!

After hanging up with that store I called back the other R-A pharmacist that had called me last night and left a message.  He asked me about a medication I am taking and whether it's working for me?
WTF?!?  I said yes, it's fine and before he could hang up on me I asked him why he had called about that, especially because I have never had an Rx filled there nor been in that store.  He said he gets that a lot.....R-A pharmacists are instructed to make these type of calls to ANY customer in the R-A system if they have down time to check up on if they are filling their meds. ???  So if you don't fill a medication and you buy your Rxs at R-A, don't be surprised if a pharmacist at a store you've never been to cold calls you and asked about a drug you are taking.

If I had picked up the phone for his call that evening and heard him say all that I wouldn't have thought about searching on my phone for an appointment up in that area of  PA at 10pm Monday night.  My brain wouldn't have gone to the place where I thought that pharmacist was calling about a vaccine opening.

I still find this weird.....but I got an appointment, woohoo!

Of course this also means I have to drive all the way back there in a few weeks for the second shot since they didn't get the J&J vaccine.  I'll gladly go back if this helps end this crap!(Plus I can browse around a new to me R-A and maybe find some deals. 8-))

MidWeek Ibotta Bonus Was A Big Moneymaker!

I received a $3 Ibotta Bonus offer for doing 6 rebates.  This was a piece o' cake so I went ahead and did it at Walmart earlier today..........

2 x Celestial Seasonings black tea $2.38 ea.=$4.76
2 x Good Thins crackers $2.18 ea.=$4.36
2 x Bic Prevguard pens clearance $4.00 ea.=$8.00
2 x Mead folders clearance .25¢ ea.=.50¢
3 x Listerine Flossers $1.97 ea.=$5.91
SubTotal....$23.53

Coupons Used
1 x $1/2 Celestial Seasonings tea ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $1/2 Good Thins crackers ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $2/2 Bic items ManuQ=$2.00
Coupon Total....$4.00

$23.53-$4.00=$19.53+.33¢ sales tax=$19.86

Rebates earned back totaled $24.75.
$21.25 regular rebates($2.49 Celestial Seasonings, .10¢ any brand tea bags, .10¢ any Probiotic beverage, $1.50 Good Thins, $2.56 Good Thins, $6 Bic Prevaguard, $2 Bic Stationery, .50¢ Mead, $6 Listerine).  I also got a .10¢ any brand fruit snacks but am not counting that since they will probably find their error and remove it.

I also earned a Listerine Bonus of .50¢ and since I went over 6 rebates I earned the $3 MidWeek Bonus as well.

This was a whopping $4.89 moneymaker after cash rebates earned on Ibotta!

But I also scanned two varieties of Celestial Seasonings teas to ShopKick for 50 Kicks, got a 10 Kicks for walking into Walmart and submitted my receipt for the CS tea I bought for another 250 Kicks so I'll get $1.24 for all those Kicks from ShopKicks too, giving me a $6.13 moneymaker in the end.  Nice.

I like these small number of items to get a Bonus and rarely get them...usually I have to do 12 or 15 offers and the payoff is only a buck.  This was a nice change.

Rite-Aid Shopping This Week

I went to Rite-Aid yesterday and did the freebies to roll the Bonus Cash on my card.........

Various Oral-B, Crest items are on sale for $3.00 each this week.
There are digital Qs on Rite-Aid you can clip to your card, as well as Qs in the P&G insert from Sunday's paper.
These on sale items also give back $2 Bonus Cash.  If you use a $1/1 Q to pay this makes them free.

The best deal is a double pack of Indicator Oral-B toothbrushes on sale for $3 among all the single pack Oral-B brushes that are part of this sale(if your store carries this item).  Use the $1/1 Q available and earn $2 BC which makes them free.

The best toothpaste deal is the Crest Pro-Health Sensitive & Enamel Shield type pictured.  The 4.6 oz. tube is part of the $3 sale and gives back $2 Bonus Cash.  There is a $2/1 digital Q on R-A  you can clip to your card for $2/1 off this product.

$3-$2 Q=$1 and gives back $2 BC so a $1 moneymaker.

Or you can do the other $3 on sale toothpastes and used the $1/1 digital or P&G insert Q, pay $2 and get $2 BC back making it "just" free.

Limit of 2 of these deals per card/account so don't try to get a toothbrush, toothpaste AND mouth wash.  Just 2 of the 3 will give you the Bonus Cash.

I thought I'd mention this early in the week so everyone has enough heads up to go get some dental needs for free or better.

Monday's Trip to Rite-Aid....The Heart Healthy/Nature Made Double Dip Deal

After running all over creation Monday.....don't ask!.....I stopped by Rite-Aid to check out the Heart Healthy Nature Made Fish Oil Deal.

This week the Nature Made CoQ10 and Fish Oil Supplements are giving a $16 +Up Reward when you buy $30 worth(that's before coupons but after any Wellness discount percentage you may have).
Even though the Heart Healthy Promotion isn't listed in this week's sales flyer, it has begun.  These Nature Made items also qualify for that Promotion so if you buy them this week, you can double dip the +Up Rewards they generate.

I was armed with my trusty 20% off Wellness discount and my All You 'zine Nature Made Qs so I checked it out.  If you were able to print the $5 Nature Made Qs off of coupons dotcom earlier this month, your deal with be even better! ;-)

1 x CoQ10 reg. $13.49 w/20% off=$10.79
1 x Fish Oil reg. $10.99 w/20% off=$8.79
1 x Fish Oil reg. $18.49 w/20% off=$14.79

$34.37-$20.00=$14.37

We wer also down to our last 60 watt bulb, so I also picked up 4 boxes of the LightBulbs that are on sale for $1.99 this week.  They also generate a $1.99 +Up Reward, making them free after +Ups!
4 x Light Bulbs on sale $1.99=$7.96

$14.37+$7.96=$22.33+.11¢ tax=$22.44

I paid with $22 +Up Rewards and put the .44¢ change on my handy dandy Rite-Aid gift card.
I received a $10 +Up Reward($10 wyb $30 of Healthy Heart products)and a $16 +Up Reward($16 wyb $30 of Nature Made CoQ10 and/or Fish Oil this week)=$26 in +Ups.
I also received 4 x $1.99 +Up Rewards back for the lightbulbs, so $33.96 +Ups in total.
Spent $22 +Ups, got $33.96 +Ups back.

The double dip +Up Rewards make my purchase a $11.96 moneymaker after Rewards.

If you have the $5/1 Nature Made IPQs your purchase will be even better.
And remember, you can set up more than one AdPerks/VV accounts so get your family members to go watch videos too.  This is how I have 2 of the Fish Oil AdPerk/VV Qs to use.

My store had no signage about a Lightbulb limit, but I hear there is a 6 package limit.
I bought 4 and all 4 +Ups printed.

$24.42-$23.99=$.43 OOP

UPDATE--I just noticed that the Clorox SCR can be done twice, so this Clorox purchase adds another $1 to BIL's  SCR total.
That additional $1 SCR now makes this purchase a $.57 Moneymaker!

The P&G purchases on these 2 receipts bring BIL's total over $50, so he qualifies for the $15 Visa Card now. (Since the P&G SCR runs for another 2 weeks(into the Feb. SCR period), I could still raise the BIL's Visa Card to a $35 if we make $40 more in qualifying purchases in this time period.)

I know, I know.....I've been spending a LOT of time at Rite-Aid and even IF you have one near you and you do the deals there, I am figuring everyone is pretty tired of reading me blabbing on about Rite-Aid.
But Really!....tell me what other store you can walk into and spend .43¢ and get over $30 worth of stuff on a regular basis And then have them send you back enough money in rebates that you end up making money to shop there?!?!
Wags and CVS have good deals and you can have a low or zero OOP & get back ECBs and RRs but that's only Cash if you spend it there.  You can do well at those 2 drug stores too but except for once or twice, I have never gotten paid a similarly large amount to shop with them like I have gotten straight cash monies back at Rite-Aid in the last few months.  I think with taking multiple stacking types of Qs(Manu or IPs, AdPerks, $x off $x total IPs, In-ad Store, Wellness, & now Game of Life Qs)Rite-Aid by far can be more lucrative than the others.  Heck, I've used 3 times the number of Qs as items in an order at Rite-Aid and it's all perfectly ok with the store.  I just stay out of the negative at the register when paying.  Going negative(which I could very easily do most transactions)is something they can't handle.lol
Add in that I have 2, count 'em 2 Rite-Aids nearby that are so darn coupon friendly(not like the local Wags and CVS)and I'm just living in high cotton!

The FINAL Monthly January SCR Period OOP(before rebates)is.....$70.20

Money I am getting back--
Single Check Rebates qualified for(both persons)......$76.48
Other Rebates qualified for with Rite-Aid Purchases(Kraft,Olays, Lotions).....$91.23
Game of Life Winnings.....$2.00(well, at least it's something!lol)

Rite-Aid Gift Card.....$5.00
Visa Prepaid Cards.....$50.00

A total of $169.71 Cash and $55 in Rite-Aid Gift/Visa Cards.

That's a $99.51 MONEYMAKER for January!
Plus $55 in Gift/Visa Cards.
And my guesstimate, if all the excess I purchased sells at the flea market, there will be another $150 ready cash to add to my Total profit for Jan.

Potential MONEYMAKER at Rite Aid until Saturday!

I lead a sad, sad life sometimes.
My idea of fun?
Wandering the Rite-Aid Drug Store aisles, looking for Single Check Rebate shelf tags.
LOLOL
Yes, I just walk around Rite-Aid looking for things to buy to send away for SCR rebates.
But only things that would either be free or a Moneymaker!
So not so dumb after all, huh?

I found this great Moneymaker opportunity on Saturday. Was in a Rite-Aid and saw that this item has a Single Check Rebate for $14.00

It's a Doctor's Brand Night Guard for bruxism(teeth grinding). Now I don't grind my teeth in my sleep....I have other ways to relieve stress when I am awake(eating!lol).
But.....
This item is regularly $24.99. (It's the regular 'classic' one, not the deluxe model). This Rite-Aid had the 'classic' style marked 50% off at $12.49!
I bought one & submitted online for the SCR for it and YES!....it went through.
So I bought it for $13.24(tax, you know), got the $14.00 rebate.
I made .76¢.

Now before you laugh your head off at me for going to this trouble to buy something to make .76¢, remember that I can now take said Night Guard and sell that puppy on eBay!
Research shows that I can get at least $8 or so for it there.
And if I had bought it as part of a $25 order, I could have received $5 off that order.
If you need to get to $25 to use that $5 off coupon for Rite-Aid AND these are on clearance at your store, it's a great thing to buy to boost your total.

But you need to hurry, because the July SCR period ends on Saturday! If you are going to get one, get it before then.

I bought 2 btw.....1 for me, 1 for B-I-L. Made $1.48 overage and will sell both of eBay and make another $16 there.

Happy Hunting!

Rite Aid.....BOGO MANIA! Free StayFree with Qs this week!

I rolled out of bed on Sunday morning.....Nay, I LEAPT out of bed Sunday morning!
Why?
Because I wanted to get to Rite-Aid bright and early to take advantage of a really nice couponing opportunity there this week.

Seems Rite-Aid had StayFree pads on a BUY ONE GET ONE FREE Sale this week.
And having glanced through the list of coupons coming out in the Sunday newspaper inserts I noticed a BUY ONE GET ONE COUPON for StayFree Pads.
Hmmmmm......BOGO Sale+BOGO Q=FREE Stuff!

So grabbed the insert from the newspaper hubby had bought that morning before I got up & going, 2 $5 off $25 Rite-Aid IP Qs I had printed off, and my trusty scissors and headed out the door with my coupon binder.

Having seen this week's Rite-Aid sales flyer online, I pulled a few Qs from my binder before heading into the store.
I grabbed 3 newspapers to purchase and pulled out the inserts and clipped those StayFree Qs.
Yes, I have no shame.
Here is what I bought....

Transaction #1
3x Newspapers @$1.50=$4.50
8x StayFree Pads on sale BOGO($3.99)=$15.96
1x Degree Clinical on sale $6.99
Subtotal $27.45
Tax $.36

Coupons Used
$5 off $25 Rite-Aid Q=$5.00
4x StayFree Pads BOGO=$15.96
1x Degree Deodorant $1.00
Total $21.96

$27.45-$21.96=$5.85OOP

Hauled this out to the car and went back in....

Transaction #2

3x Newspapers @$1.50=$4.50
6x StayFree Pads on sale BOGO($3.99)=$11.97
2x Carefree Pads on sale BOGO($3.99)=$3.99
1x Degree Clinical on sale $6.99
4x Band-Aid(antibiotic ones) BOGO($4.49)=$8.98
Subtotal $36.43
Tax $.36

Coupons Used
$5 off $25 Rite-Aid Q=$5.00
3x StayFree Pads BOGO=$11.97
1x Carefree Pads $1/2=$1.00
1x Degree Deodorant $1.00
4x Band-Aid $1/1=$4.00
Total $22.97

$36.79-$22.97=$13.82OOP

The actual OOP was $.00 because I used Rite-Aid Gift Cards I had from previous Single Check Rebate deals I had submitted.

I will get back $10 for the 2 Degree Deodorants I bought(2x$5 SCRs) and the StayFree, Carefree & Band-Aids all qualify toward SCR #160(purchase $50 of select J&J products and get a $25 Gift Card). I have $40.90 already so only $9.10 more to purchase to get that Gift Card. Maybe some more StayFree(I have 1 more BOGO Q left)or some more Bandaids or some Listerine, which would also get me another SCR of $1 besides qualify toward the $25 Gift Card. I'll have to figure which is the least cost vs. most return for the money.
I've still got about $10 left on 1 Gift Card so whichever I pick, I'm playing with FREE Money! ;-)

I'll update later this weekend when I get the time to get online.
I've got important family business to deal with the next few days so I won't be hanging around online.
See ya'll soon!

Tuesday WAGS Trip...Clearance Heaven

I found myself out in a different town Tuesday evening, so I ventured into the local Walgreen's there to see what I could find.

The WAGS closest to my house is right smack dab in the middle of a big city.....well, big for our part of the state. It's also open 24/7 and right near 2 large Universities. No matter the time you go in there, the joint is hopping. There is ALOT of traffic through that store and I can never find anything in the Clearance Section that is worth bringing home(unless I go in right after they put stuff on clearance and that hardly ever happens.)

This WAGS out in the boonies was a Clearance DREAM! I'm so glad I brought all my Qs in the store.
Here is what I got.....first the clearance items.

Transaction #1

2 x Natural Dentist Toothpaste @ $1.29 ea. Used 1 $2 Q
2 x Viactive Chews @ $3.49 ea. Used 2 $2 Qs
2 x Mocha Mints @ $.50 ea.
Tom's of Maine Mouth Rinse @ $1.69
4 x Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste @ $.95 ea. Used 3 $1 Qs
Oral B Toothbrush Double Pk. @ $1.89 Used 1 $2 Q
Oral B Toothbrush Double Pk. @ $2.49 Used 1 $2 Q
3 x Oral B Single Toothbrush @ $1.29 ea. Used 3 $1 Qs
2 x Reach Toothbrush @ $.75 ea. Used 2 $1 Qs

Now the regular stuff.....
2 x Sambucol Tabs @ $12.99 ea. Used 2 $10 WQ & 2 $3 Q
Soleil Disposable Razors @ $5.99 Used $2 WQ & $2 Q
2 x SC johnson Cleaners @ $3.00 ea. Used 2 $1 Qs
Excedrin Menstrual @ $5.99 Used $4 WQ & $1 Q
Colgate Toothpaste @ $3.49 Used $2.50 WQ & $1 Q
5 x Hunt's Sauce @ $4/5 Used $2.05 WQ

2 x Sambucol Tabs @ $12.99 Used 2 $10 WQ & 2 $3 Q

SUBTOTAL $34.27 Coupons Used $31.96

OOP $2.31

Combined SUBTOTALS....

$113.45-$92.51Coupons=$20.94 OOP

Total RRs Used....$13.50

GRAND TOTAL $7.44 OOP

And I will get $7.70 back for the Conagra Foods($5)& the SC Johnson Cleaners($2) in ESR($7 + 10% bonus for taking a Gift Card rebate rather than a check).

I was able to use 1 $2 Q on the 2 Natural Dentist on clearance for $1.29, so I paid $.58 for both tubes.

I was able to use 3 $1 Qs on the 4 boxes of Crest for $.95, so I paid $.80 for 4 tubes of that.

All 5 of the Oral B Toothbrushes came to $8.25 on clearance so I was able to use $7 in Qs(I could have used an 8th $1 Q if I had one) and get all 5 brushes for $1.25 total.

Both Reach Toothbrushes for 75¢ ea. let me use $1 Qs on them without beeping at the register, even though it took off more than they were priced. But a 2nd Natural Dentist AND a 4th $1 off Crest Q did beep, so the cashier wouldn't let me use them.

Oh well.

If you are looking to buy Soleil Disposable Razors at WAGS, look for the packages with the 2 BONUS Razors free. You might as well get the 6 pack for what you'd spend on the 4 pack, right?

Be sure and look for the Raspberry flavoured Viactiv on Clearance. It was NOT in the Clearance section but still on the shelf where the Viactiv is located with an orange shelf tag. This stuff is usually in the $7 range but marked down to $3.49 and with the current $2 Viactiv Q out there, this is a very nice $1.49 price!
