Thursday Rite-Aid Trip

Since I got use of my car back, I hiked up to Rite-Aid to see what was left to buy.

Now I want to prepare y'all before I start.
Please sit down so I can tell you......I actually spent money yesterday!
LOTS OF MONEY.......ugh

Since the +Up Rewards can't be used immediately anymore and you have to wait until the following day to use today's I only have 3 days to earn and roll the ones for this week.
Kind of sucks for me, but whatever....

So I have to compress all my buying into 3 trips or less before the sale week ends.

So Thursday's trip was all about the food and drink mostly....

** 2 x No Nonsense Socks 3 packs on sale BOGO50%.....*This rang up strangely.  Instead of $5.29 reg. price for 1st and $2.64 50%off for the 2nd, the 1st set rang up with my 20% off Wellness discount at $4.23 and the 2nd set rang up 50%off at $2.64.....for a total of $6.87 and I received a $5 +Up Reward making 6 prs. of socks cost $1.87.  Not a bad price for 6 pr. of socks!  Ssshhh....don't tell, these are going into Xmas stockings....

** 10 x Gatorade on sale $1=$10.00  *I was suppose to get 2 x $3 +Ups--1 $3 for spending $10 on select drinks for this week and 1 $3 for spending $10 on select drinks under a Monthly +Up Deal.  But you will see that I bought 2 of the dreaded BLUE Gatorade, that have been reported to not trigger either the weekly +Up deal or the monthly +Up deal, I can't remember which.  I did go back Friday morning and returned and then rebought 2 non-blue Gatorades to get the 2nd $3 +Up Reward to print.  So now I spent $10 and got $6 +Ups back, making the drinks cost me .40 each.  Pretty good for something I have to buy for marching Band anyway. ;-)

** 2 x Stride gum packs on sale $1=$2.00  *I used an IPQ BOGO Free Stride, paid $1 for both and got a $1 +Up Reward back, so this was free after +Ups.

** 2 x Chips Ahoy! on sale $3(must buy 2)=$6.00  * I used 2 x $1/1 IPQ Nabisco Cookies Facebook Qs from the beginning of the month and paid $4.00 for both and got a $2 +Up Reward so $2 for both packages after +Ups.

**  4 x Nabisco Crackers on sale 2/$5=$10.00  * I used a B2G1Free IPQ and a $1/2 IPQ.  I forgot to also use my .75¢/1 AdPerk Ritz Q...argh.  I "should" have paid $5.75 and gotten 2 x $1 +Ups back for a total spent of $3.75 for 4 boxes.  But I'll have to settle for $4.50 after +Ups.  Still not bad for 4 boxes.
And I would have only bought 3 boxes but it was one of those MUST BUY in multiples of 2 to get the sale price.  ick.

**  2 x ProGlide Razors on sale for $9.99, but with 20% Wellness discount they were $9.03=$18.06.
I used 1 x $4/1 ManuQ Proglide and 1 x $5/1 ManuQ Proglide=$9.00 off and paid $9.06.  I received back 2 x $4 Gillette +Up Rewards for a total spent of $1.06 for 2 razors.

**  2 x Lysol Cleaners on sale $2.79=$5.58.  I used 1 x $2/2 Lysol Cleaners ManuQ and 1 x $3/2 AdPerks Lysol Cleaners Q for a total spent of $1.58.  I then received back 2 x $1 +Up Rewards(1 for each bottle), making this a $.42 moneymaker.
**  1 x Lysol Wipes with 20% Wellness discount=$3.19.  I will submit for the FREE Lysol Wipes rebate(Buy 3 Lysol products-1 of which has to be the Wipes-and get up to $3.00 back.)  So after rebate all 3 products will still be a .23¢ moneymaker.

**  6 x Flora Incense at $1.19(with 20% Wellness discount)=$7.14
I received back 3 x $3 +Ups, 1 for every 2 packages of incense I bought.  $7.14-$9 +Ups==$1.86 moneymaker.  Another Ssshhhh, don't tell, it's a Xmas stocking stuffer. ;-)

In the end I spent OOP $38.65 including tax, after also using my $12 in paper +Ups I had left.
I got back $35 in +Up Rewards and I'll be getting $3 in cash rebates too.

If I had more days left to break this into more and smaller transactions, I could have covered most of the cash spent OOP and not had to fork over so much green stuff.
Oh well....
I still got good deals and I'll be going back later today for more stuff I didn't get yet....like garbage bags, tampons, candy corn, more incense, more Gatorade.
A little more Rite-Aid pillaging to come--stay tuned!  I went back this afternoon and rolled yesterdays's +Ups.

JUNE Rite-Aid Trips......She's Back!!!

I ventured back into Rite-Aid the week before we left on our trip.
I had $30 in +Up Rewards sent from corporate expiring the end of June to use.

#2 Son needed bug spray for camp.

So I bought....

2 x Cutters bug spray on sale $3.99=$7.98 *not pictured*
3 x Tootsie Pops bags on sale $1.99=$5.97
SubTotal....$13.95

I used....
2 x $1/1 Cutter's IPQ=$2.00

$13.95-$2.00=$11.95

I used 2 x $5 +Up Rewards....

$11.95-$10.00=$1.95 + .02¢=$1.97 OOP

Yes, I actually paid money this time!lol

I received 5 x $1 +Ups back-one $1 +Ups for each item I bought.

I am addicted to Tootsie Pops.
Love them!  Good for a chocolate craving without being big on calories.
Being on sale for $1.99 a bag and giving back a $1 +Ups means they are .99¢ a bag(if you have +Ups to use).
These bags have more pops than the ones in the Dollar Store so an awesome deal!!

I then bought this.....

3 x Phillips Earphones raincheck FREE=$0.00 *only 2 are pictured because #2 Son took one to camp*

I've been holding this raincheck since November when they were a Christmas special deal last year....$4.99 and they gave a $4.99 +Ups.
It has taken the store this long to get 3 of them in stock so I could redeem the raincheck.
I wanted them for Christmas gifting in 2011 but by getting the raincheck and being somewhat patient, I'll have these for this year's gifting.

$0.00 OOP

I also bought in a separate transaction....

2 x Home Improvement $50 Gift Card=$100.00
I paid $100 OOP and received 2 x $10 +Up Rewards.

As I've explained before, these gift cards are to pay for flooring supplies for a remodel that is going to happen, hopefully soon.  The $100 comes out of the remodel money but I get to spend the $20 in +Ups on food and HBA, so FREE Money!

Then the following day, I bought on another card....

2 x $50 Home Improvement Gift Cards=$100.00
3 x Tootsie Pops bags on sale=$5.97
1 x Cella cherry candy w/discount=$.26 *not pictured, eaten*
SubTotal....$106.23

I used $6.00 in +Up Rewards....
$106.23-$6.00=$100.23
I paid $100 in cash from the remodel money and put the .23¢ on my free Rite-Aid gift card, so $0 OOP.
I received $3 in +Ups for the Tootsie Pops and $20 in +Ups for the Gift Cards.

So I spent $16 of my $30 +Up Rewards, I received $48 in +Up Rewards back($8 for the food/HBA items and $40 for the gift cards), leaving me a total of $62 in +Ups.
I am out of pocket $1.97 cash from my food budget this month and used .23¢ of my gift card. ($200 of remodel money was moved from cash onto gift cards also, which does not affect my food budget.)

And I got $71.62 worth of actual merchandise(not counting the gift card values).

Yesterday I went and bought this.....
2 x Pantene Shampoo on sale=$7.00
1 x Bayer  Aspirin on clearance=$2.14
1 x Cane Tips $4.99 25% off=$3.74
2 x Zero candy bars on clearance=$.48
4 x Reese's cups BOGO=$1.98
SubTotal....$15.34

I used.....
1 x $3/2 Pantene ManuQ=$3.00

$15.34-$3.00=$12.34

I used $12 in +Up Rewards, which made my Total .34¢
I put that .34¢ on my free Rite-Aid gift card.

I now have $50 +Up Rewards left to spend before Saturday night.

Now I KNOW it's been reported on many blogs that the Carex $10 +Up had been pulled.
BUT.....this store still had the $10 +Ups Wellness reward tags up on every single peg hook on the Carex display.
And I have the....what shall I call them here?.....ok, yeah....BALLS.....to buy the product and then stand my ground when the reward doesn't print but the signs are up that I am entitled to get it.
Usually I just have to bring it to management's attention and the thing is made right, because well, this store I go to is filled with CLASSY People and run properly.  It helps that they like me too....lol

So after a few minutes of checking, I also got this....
A $10 Gift Card to replace the $10+Ups that didn't print.  So I basically converted $10 in Ups to gift card.

Now I don't have the BALLS to go back now and try to buy the item again here and take advantage of signage if it's still up.  I know when to hold em and when to fold em as they say.
And the cane tips?  It is an item that I DO need....I have a cane, tips need replacing.  And besides, it was a very good price for them!lol

The Bayer Advanced was on clearance, 50% off.  You should look for it if you need aspirin and your store is out of the one that is $3.  If you have the $3 ManuQ for it that just came out, you could use it on this clearanced size, as long as you buy something else to cover the .86¢ in overage(the diff. between the $2.14 price and your $3 Q)at the register.

The Zero bars were on clearance as well....a .99¢ reg. price bar for .24¢ so 75% off.  They were marked with a 50% shelf tag.  I may go back and buy what is left at my store.  These are good for tucking back for Christmas stockings.....as long as you put them in a cool place for the summer and you aren't tempting to consume them all before December.lol

As of now, my Rite-Aid Stats are....

Out Of Pocket....$1.97 cash
Value of items bought....$97.42

+Ups at beginning of month...$30+
+Ups used....$28+
+Ups received...$48+
+Ups currently...$50+

Stay tuned for more Rite-Aid before the week is up....

Rite-Aid Trips on Saturday...4 Times Because I was Too Lazy to Go All Week!

Since our Sunday inserts didn't get that $4/1 Nivea Q the Sunday before last, I ordered whole inserts off of eBay.  Couldn't find anyone there selling JUST the Nivea Q that didn't require a second mortgage on the house. 8-(

They came pretty fast but I was just too danged lazy or busy or sick or a combo of all to get my keester up to Rite-Aid until Saturday(the last day of the sale on the Nivea Body Wash).  And then I spent a good chunk of my day hitting Rite-Aids in between taking #2 son to look for new pants.
Between the Nivea Qs and the Benadryl Qs($5 off 2) and spending at least $20 at a pop so I could use the AdPerks VV Qs $5 off $20 purchase, I did quite well.

Transaction #1
2 x Nivea Body Wash on sale $3.50!?=$7.00
3 x Benadryl Allergy $5.49-Wellness Discount makes it $4.39 ea.=$13.17
2 x Cello Cherries $.33-Wellness Discount makes it .26¢=$.52
SubTotal.....$20.69

Coupons Used
1 x $5/$20 AdPerks VV IPQ=$5.00
2 x $4/1 Nivea ManuQ=$8.00 **Yes, these went thru w/out beeps so $1 in overage!
1 x $5/2 Benadryl ManuQ=$5.00
1 x $1.50/1 Benadryl IPQ=$1.50
1 x $1/$10 Pain Reliever Purchase Wellness IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$20.50

$20.69=$20.50=$.19 OOP-Put on Rite-Aid Gift Card

Ok, the Cherries are because the Nivea rang up $3.50 instead of $3.99 and I was going to be negative if I used my last $1/$10 Q.  So I added 1 cherry and I didn't think about that blasted 20% Wellness discount bringing this price down too low, so I had to add another cherry.lol
I was able to use that $1/$10 Pain Reliever Q on the 3 boxes of Benadryl because I bought Benadryl with Pain Reliever in it(the sinus or cold plus type).  Regular Benadryl doesn't work for this.

Transaction #2

2 x Nivea Body Wash on sale $3.50=$7.00
2 x Benadryl Allergy $5.49-Wellness Discount makes it $4.39 ea.=$8.78
1 x Motrin PM $5.49-Wellness Discount makes it $4.39=$4.39
1 x Eos Lip Balm on sale $2.99/with Wellness Discount $2.63=$2.63
2 x Iced Tea $.99-Wellness Discount makes it $.79 ea.=$1.58 **Not Pictured**
SubTotal.....$24.38

Coupons Used
1 x $5/$20 AdPerks VV IPQ=$5.00
2 x $4/1 Nivea ManuQ=$8.00 **Yes, these went thru w/out beeps so $1 in overage!
1 x $5/2 Benadryl ManuQ=$5.00
1 x $3/1 Motrin PM ManuQ=$3.00
1 x $3/1 Motrin PM In-Ad Q=$3.00
Coupon Total....$24.00

$24.38-$24.00=$.38 OOP-Put on Rite-Aid Gift Card
And I qualified for SCR #52(Eos Lip Balm)=$2.00 Rebate

**Between the coupon overage for the Motrin ($4.39-$6= -$1.61)& the $1 in Nivea Q overage, I had $2.61+ the $5 AdPerks $5 off $20 'credit' toward my bill in this transaction.
So the Motrin was free, the Nivea was free and I put $3.78 of that credit toward the 2 Benadryls' cost.
After 'paying' for all those items, I still had $3.83 in overage to spend, so I bought the Lip Balm for $2.63.  After that I still had $1.20 in overage to spend, so I added the iced teas @ $1.58 as we were thirsty. $1.58-$1.20 'overage'=$.38 OOP.

Transaction #3

2 x Nivea Body Wash on sale $3.50=$7.00
3 x Benadryl Allergy $5.49-Wellness Discount makes it $4.39 ea.=$13.17
SubTotal.....$20.17

1 x $1/1 Benadryl ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $1/$10 Pain Reliever Purchase Wellness IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$20.00

$20.17=$20.00=$.17 OOP-Put on Rite-Aid Gift Card

April Rite-Aid SCR Period Spending and TOTALS & Rite-Aid Chit-Chat

I just went through all my receipts from Rite-Aid.
I did not shop a lot in April so I only made 6 trips between 3/28 & 4/24th,  and spent $.00 in cash for the April Single Check Rebate Period of March 28th to April 24th.
Actually I "spent" $6.89.

But all of what I spent was put on assorted Gift Cards, so my Out of Pocket was ZERO.

These Gift Cards were obtained as earned rewards from assorted prior purchases at Rite-Aid.  It was all free money to begin with that I used to get more products for free.
And some of what I bought with these gift cards qualified me for SCRs, or more Single Check Rebates, so I got paid money for buying some of the items...which didn't cost me anything out of pocket to begin with.
You follow me? ;-)

So I spent $.00 during the April SCR Period.
I received $158.21 in products.
And I will receive a check amounting to $8.00 in rebates.
With these purchases, I  am also $17.56 toward a $50 'purchase' which will net me a $25 Rite-Aid Gift Card(SCR#552). (I have almost 2 months left to complete another $32.44 in purchases for this SCR.)

$.00 outgo.
$8.00 income.
$158.21 of toiletries/food.

Rite-Aid paid me $8 to bring home $158.21 of stuff in April.
If you want to see the list of what I got paid to bring home you can find it on this post HERE.
For me, $8 is nothing compared to most of my other month's checks but it's still something. ;-)

April was a big month for Rite-Aid, as they rolled out the Wellness Program nationwide.  Even though I already have a Wellness card/account and I didn't request to sign up again when the program went "live" across the country, I received a new set of Wellness cards(big one and the little keyring ones too)the week before the roll out.  This new card said I already had a 20% discount available to me(which I had earned already with my old Wellness card).  But the new card has a different 'number' than my old card.  I really didn't feel like activating this new card(who knows?....something could have gone wrong in the changeover and they may have 'lost' my 20% discount or whatever).  So on my first trip to Rite-Aid last week after the roll out I asked the clerk if I could still use my old card.  He had NO CLUE!  Ok.....so we tried it anyway and it worked just fine.  Now I'm not sure how long it will work so I'll hold onto the new card to activate if I ever need to...but I'm hoping they don't deactivate my old card.

For May I'll be hitting Rite-Aid a little more than in April, and I've already made 2 trips this Rebate Period.
Not sure how lucrative the shopping trips will be since the Wellness coupons they are releasing are pretty lame....sorry Rite-Aid, but $1.00 off a $10.00 cosmetic or vitamin or allergy, etc. purchase is NOT a good coupon!  (For instance....to use a $1/$10 allergy Q I would have to buy THREE 24 ct. Benadryls-with Wellness Discount they cost me $4.39 ea., so 3 come to $13.17.  $1 measly dollar off is NOT a very good deal.
Bring back the old Wellness coupons!!

Just from this year's rebates I have $51.60 in accumulated Gift Card credits left.

Plus BIL is STILL Waiting on his P&G $35 Prepaid Visa that he requested on 2/15!....the last email Customer Service sent him said to give it 4-6 MORE WEEKS from the date of that email!  It could very well arrive mid-JUNE and that would make it 4 MONTHS since it was requested, to receive the thing.   All the while there are all these things he could be getting for cheap or free with that $35 he is due.
Can you tell the BIL is NOT happy with Rite-Aid at this moment?!?

Anyway, it looks to be a good Rite-Aid month in May for me.
I just wish the Wellness Qs were better. ;-)

So how did you do at Rite-Aid last Rebate Period?  Did you get some good buys?  Tell us!

Rite-Aid on Friday....Had to Use It or Lose It!

So, I was FORCED to go to Rite-Aid on Friday.
Why you ask?
Because my GIFT OF SAVINGS Christmas Gift Certificate expires April 30...Friday.
No way I was going to let $20 expire even if going out Friday
was the last thing I wanted to do!

So I gathered up some couponage I might use and headed up with #2 son & his friend in tow.
Oh great....just what I need....baggage.lol

I had wanted to get a market umbrella for the deck patio set since ours bit the dust a couple of years ago.  It would be nice to be able to sit out and eat there without the sun blasting down on you in the heat of summer.  So with the $20 Cert., my 20% discount and a $5 off a $20 purchased, I'd only have to pay zero or even be negative money and have to add something to the order.
Free umbrella.....NICE!

But alas, there was not a market umbrella in the joint, just some beach umbrellas that were NOT going to cut it.

So the plan got thrown overboard and we went hunting the aisles for things to buy.......

I had a scenarios just about worked out when #2 son comes over pleading with me to advance him allowance $ so he could buy a watch.
So we went and inspected his potential purchase and I deemed it worthy of purchase for $19.99.
My wheels in my brain set to working and suddenly there were TWO scenarios to complete.

I took 2 things from my initial scenarios and added them to the watch purchase so we could use another $5 off $20 Purchase Q.

2 x Dove Shampoo on sale $3=$6.00  Used 2 x $2/1 Dove 'Poo IPQ -$4.00
1 x Watch=$19.99  My wellness discount applied -$4.00 **Not Pictured**

Once #2 son pays me back for the watch, my total here is .50¢ overage.
($16.77-1/2 of the $5 off Q=$14.27 he owes for the watch).

I also qualified for $3.00 in SCR on the Dove 'Poo purchase, giving me $3.50 in overage so far after the SCR.

Then I did transaction #2 to use my $20 Gift Cert.....

$38.15-$38.00=$.15 OOP

I totally didn't figure in the 20% wellness discount on a couple of things so I was $2 short of using my last $2/1 Q and had to add the candy and gum....and the gum got another wellness disc. to boot!
All in all, this one came out very nicely.

SCR qualified for in Transaction #2....
Schick Hydro Razor=$6.00
Ban Deodorants=$10.00
Total...$16.00 in SCRs and another $8.78 toward qualifying for the $25 Allergy SCR(WYB $50 of Allergy products).

**When I got home I discovered 2 of the Ban Deos I purchased were the wrong type.  I hiked back Saturday morning and exhanged those 2 for the correct ones so I will get my $10 SCR for buying 4 Ban Deos...'-)

Grand total for the day.....
I am OOP  negative .35¢ today buying all this(when #2 son pays me back) and I am getting back $19.00 in SCRs.

I may have been laying low on Rite-Aid shopping in April but I am BACK with a vengeance!lol

One of the cashiers took off an extra $1 somewhere because the receipts add up to $3.87 instead.

$3.87 spent and SCRs qualified for.....$25+$5.84=$30.84.

Why I bought what I bought......

The 1st 5 items in my list where bought to finish off the J&J Deal.  I had $11.88 already from earlier in the month toward that SCR, so these items--a total of $42.60--put me over the $50 mark for the $25 rebate.
I bought these particular items because we have allergy issues here and the Band-Aids......well, #2 son skateboards....need I say more? ;-)

The Frizz-Ease 'Poo was to finish off the SCR #4(buy Frizz-Ease styler and 'poo and get the price of the 'poo refunded).  I bought the styler last week so now I get another $5.84 back.

Great price on the Welch's 100% juice with the Qs.  The 6 pack was a spur of the moment buy because of the hangtag Q.  With the Qs and the wellness discount, it was a good deal and I had some $5/$20 to burn anyway.

The TP is always needed.

The toothbrush and shampoo/stylers will be making an appearance at a garage sale/flea market later this spring.

The PB cups was a filler for one of the transactions and the Easter candy is well, for the kids' easter baskets.

1 x Gillette Fusion Razor on sale $9.00
1 x Febreeze Candle on sale $5.99
1 x Duracell Batteries 40% off  $3.29
1 x Crest Pro-Health Toothpaste on sale $1.07!!!
Subtotal....$19.35

**Ok, so I was expecting the Toothpaste to be $2.49 like the sales flyer advertised.  But it rang up $1.07 with a reg. price of $4.29.  Now I haven't gone back to see if another of this tube will also ring up at $1.07-if I had more coupons, you bet I would have jumped on this for free!lol  But I don't have more Qs....  Anyway, I was expecting my total to be over $20 so I could use my AdPerks $5 off of $20 Q.  I didn't realize the Toothpaste rang up so little until after I got back into the car, so I used the AdPerks Q and it went through, even though my total was UNDER $20.  The AdPerk Qs go through even if you don't make the $20 minimum purchase!

If you see this exact tube of Crest pictured, I'd price check it and you might find you get some real cheap or free toothpaste at your store. ;-)  It's the Cinnamon flavor....

Rite-Aid Shopping Nov. 9th Part 2....Slight Moneymaker

I recovered from Saturday's day out so I hit Rite-Aid Monday morning.  The Nivea purchase is posted Here.
I also bought.....

2 x Herbal Essence Products  on sale BOGO=$4.59
2 x GE Lightbulbs on sale $2=$4.00 **not pictured**
1 x Oral B CrossAction ToothBrush on sale=$2.99
1 x Chapstick Fresh Effects on sale=$1.99
1 x Gillette Deodorant on sale=$4.00
1 x Gillette Body Wash on sale=$4.49(though I didn't know this was on sale when I decided to buy it)
SubTotal=$22.06

Coupons
1 x $5 off $20 Ad Perks Rite-Aid Q=$5.00
1 x Herbal Essence Products BOGO ManuQ=$4.591 x GE Lightbulbs $1/1 ManuQ=$1.00
1 x GE Lightbulbs $.40/1 PeelieQ on package=$.40
1 x Oral B ToothBrush $1/1 ManuQ=$1.00
1 x Gillette Deodorant or Body Wash $1/1 ManuQ=$1.00
1 x Gillette Buy Deodorant/Get Body Wash Free=$4.59
Coupon Total=$17.48

$22.06-$17.48=$4.58+tax$.50=$5.08 OOP.
And I qualify for Single Check Rebates of $5.99($1 Chapstick/$2 Lightbulbs/$2.99 Toothbrush), making this a $.91 Moneymaker, even AFTER tax.

Oh, if you remember my post from Rite-Aid shopping the Week of Oct. 25th Here, I had bought the tube of St. Ives and NOT the jar container and didn't get my $3 SCR credited.  Well I went and checked today and now the tube is credited, so I am up to $7 SCR before this transaction.  Total SCR now is $12.99 + the $2 Finesse 'Poo Rebate=$14.99.  OOP for these 2 transactions is $14.76 so a slight Moneymaker for the month(not counting my $2 spent for all that Nivea stuff). ;-)

At this rate, I'll be lucky to break even at Rite-Aid this month.  Gee, I have gotten spoiled getting paid to buy all those better-than-FAR items that getting stuff JUST FOR FREE is a let down.lolol

Oh, I hear rumours that Rite-Aid is going to roll out another savings program like the just past Gift of Savings one from October.  It's due up after Thanksgiving or so.  If you haven't spent your Gift of Savings Rebate Certificates yet, might be wise to hold on to them until you can use them & have those purchases qualify for the new Program coming up.  I still have mine as I find it hard to spend $20 in actual cash at any one time in Rite-Aid when I use manufacturers and those $XX off $XX purchase coupons.lolol

Anybody else head to Rite-Aid this week?  Did you get anything good?  Mine still has tons of Halloween Candy at 75% off.

TOOTHPASTE Coming Out of Your Ears this Week at Rite-Aid

Gee, I have really been on a Rite-Aid tear lately, huh?

If you need Toothpaste & Toothbrushes in your home, then Rite-Aid is the place to be this week.
Not only can you get Toothpaste & Toothbrushes there this week, you can get it for F-R-E-E!
Here's how.....

Grab the sales flyer from this week at Rite-Aid. If you don't have one already from your Sunday newspaper, pick it up at the store.
In the Rite-Aid sales flyer there is a Rite-Aid coupon for $3 off 2 Colgate Products(toothpaste & brushes). Certain Colgate products are on sale for $3 each this week. Here's a photo of the page from the sales flyer. The coupon is in the upper right hand corner.

Go HERE and find the Colgate Toothpaste/Toothbrush Coupon. It's worth $3 off the purchase of a tube of Colgate Toothpaste(5.6 oz. or larger) AND any Colgate Toothbrush(except Plus, Extra Clean & Wisps). Print it out. (You should be able to print it twice, so get two or 4 if you have access to 2 computers with printers....more on that later.)

Go to the store with your coupons.
Get 2 Colgate products that qualify for both the sale and your coupons. (I got the Colgate Max Fresh Toothpaste, 6 oz. tube, & a Max White Toothbrush.)
Use BOTH the Manufacturer's Colgate Coupon AND the Rite-Aid Coupon on your purchase.
Buy 2x$3 Colgate=$6.
Minus $3 for the Rite-Aid Coupon=$3
Minus $3 for the Manu. Coupon=$0!
Well, you may have to pay tax, depending what state you make this purchase in.
**Note**
The Internet printed Coupon has the 'Walgreens' logo on it. If the cashier is anal(lol)he/she may try to tell you that Rite-Aid can't take this coupon, because it has a Wags logo on it. But the coupons does NOT say "redeemable ONLY at Walgreens" anywhere on it. Further, if you READ the coupon, it says "Redeemable at Food, Drug, Discount and other Stores accepting coupons."
Can you guess who got an ANAL Cashier who said she couldn't take the coupon and had to call the Manager and he actually READ the thing and said it was fine? 8-P

Now if you were able to print more than one $3 off Colgate coupon from the website, cut out another Rite-Aid coupon from the sales flyer and do it again.

Or try doing this.....
Print out 4 Colgate $3 Coupons from Coupons.com(you'll need access to at least 2 different computers w/printers).
Cut out 4 Rite-Aid $3 off Colgate Coupons from the sales flyer AND print a $5 off $25 Rite-Aid purchase coupon from HERE.
Go to the store.
Get 8 Colgate Toothpaste/Toothbrushes, on sale for $3 each, for a total of $24.
Get $5 worth of additional items you want/need.
Take it all to the register to pay.
Total comes to $29(+tax in some states).
Hand Cashier your $5 off $25 Coupon.
Then hand over your 4 Rite-Aid sales flyer coupons & the 4 Colgate IP coupons.
$29-$5=$24.
$24-4x$3off RA Q($12)=$12
$12-4x$3IP Q($12)=$0.00(+tax).

Congratulations....you just got 4 tubes of Toothpaste & 4 Toothbrushes Plus $5 of other items for ZERO money(if you don't count the sales tax, if it's due in your state).

But it gets even better!
In addition....there is another offer from Rite-Aid in the Single Check Rebate flyer you can submit for. It's #501--Purchase $15 of ANY Variety of Oral Care Products(Toothpaste, Toothbrushes, Mouth Rinse, Floss, Whitening Products, etc.) and receive a FREE Summer Fun Tote Bag. The bag comes packed with over "$10 in free items". Pictured in the flyer are magazines, gum, vitamins & a bottled water. I received one of these FREE bag type deals in June for some skin care items I bought and it had tons of little samples of other products plus 2 Coupons for FREE full sized items. Personally, I wouldn't go out of my way & actually spend $15 to get this bag of stuff, but if I "spent" $15(before coupons)to get free toothpaste & brushes and they want to give me this bag of goodies too for FREE, that's fine by me!lolol

If you would like the Summer Fun Tote Bag and you don't want to buy 8 brushes & pastes to get it OR you can't print out enough coupons to get 4 sets of paste/brush, there are other qualifying products with MONEY Rebates as well this month that would also get you the Tote Bag once you hit $15. They are SCR#119-#126(though the valid purchase dates for #124 is past). You can pair your 2 or 4 pastes/brushes with some of these other Oral Care Rebates and if you 'spend' $15, you'll qualify for the FREE Tote Bag too. The Week of 8/23-8/29 there is a Colgate Advanced Whitening Rebate FREEBIE...spend $2.49 that week, get the whole amount back. That would be a good one to help get you to $15 of products for the Free Tote Bag.

Also, In the Oral Care area it's worth checking for Clearance prices on the Classic version of THE DOCTOR'S Night Guard product. I found a Rite-Aid around here last month that was clearancing this version of the product out for 50% off. The SCRebate last month, as well as this month on either version is $14(SCR#122). I spent $12.49+tax on clearance and got $14 back....plus I have the Night Guard to sell on eBay for about another $8. That will put me about $4 ahead after sales tax and eBay fees on this one item. So check the shelves for this item on sale while you are over in the Toothpaste aisle anyway.

Real Cheap Johnson's Baby Products became FREE at Rite-Aid on Saturday

Remember my post on Saturday, located Here, where I talked about how to get Johnson's Baby Wash/Oil/Powder for REAL CHEAP?

Well I had an inspiration about 7 pm that evening, right before I was going to head up to Rite-Aid to finish off purchasing the second half of the products for my $25 level Rebate.

I had already bought these on Friday....
7 Johnson's Baby Products @ $3.50=24.50(just .50¢ short of the $5 level of SCR #97)
1 Ez Start Duck Tape @ $1.49(freebie after $1.49 SCR)
1 Tag Body Spray @$2.99(.99¢ after $2/1 Q)-this was for #2 son, I didn't have to buy it to get to $25 total so I could use the $5/$25 Rite-Aid Q

Total was $28.98
Used Coupons....
$5 Rite-Aid (on a $25 purchase)
7 $1/1 Johnson's
1 $2/1 Tag
Q Total=$14.00

$28.98-$14=$14.98+tax

So for SCR #97, I needed to purchase an additional $25.50($24.50 already spent on Johnson's) to get to $50 spent & qualify for the $25 Rebate check.
I WAS going to buy 8 more Johnson's Baby Products to get over $50, and be OOP $2.50+tax for all that Johnson's after the SCRebate came in.
But I thought of another way to get to $50 and have an OOP of ZERO after the Rebate.

Instead of the 8 Johnson's, I bought....
5 Johnson's @$3.50=$17.50
2 Benadryl Gel @$4.50=$9.00--the Benadryl/Cortaid Anti-Itch items were also on sale last week AND they also qualify for the SCR#97 AS WELL AS there own SCR #52($2 SCR on purchase of 2 items). I had $1/1 Qs for all the Johnson's and for the Benadryl too.
So after the Qs(14x$1 coupons+2x$5 Rite-Aid coupons=$24 off) & sale prices I am OOP $27 on $51 worth of items that qualify for SCR #97 & #52 and I'll get $27 back($25+$2) on these $51 worth of items in the SCR. Technically OOP Zero before sales tax.

Yes!!!
Doing the Happy Dance.

Afterwards I also saw that SCR#52 could be done 3 times and you could have turned this into a small Moneymaker if you had bought in 2 transactions....
7 Johnson's @$3.50=$24.50
6 Cortaid or Benadryl=$27.00
SubTotal of $51.50
Used 13 $1/1 Qs & 2 Rite-Aid $5 off Qs=23.00
OOP=$28.50
Submit for SCR#97($25), #52 x3($6)=$31 Rebate...$2.50Moneymaker!
The $2.50 could have covered your sales tax OOP and made this a true FREEBIE.

I'm sorry I didn't figure this way out sooner in the week so I could have alerted everyone.
UGH!

Potential MONEYMAKER at Rite Aid until Saturday!

I lead a sad, sad life sometimes.
My idea of fun?
Wandering the Rite-Aid Drug Store aisles, looking for Single Check Rebate shelf tags.
LOLOL
Yes, I just walk around Rite-Aid looking for things to buy to send away for SCR rebates.
But only things that would either be free or a Moneymaker!
So not so dumb after all, huh?

I found this great Moneymaker opportunity on Saturday. Was in a Rite-Aid and saw that this item has a Single Check Rebate for $14.00

It's a Doctor's Brand Night Guard for bruxism(teeth grinding). Now I don't grind my teeth in my sleep....I have other ways to relieve stress when I am awake(eating!lol).
But.....
This item is regularly $24.99. (It's the regular 'classic' one, not the deluxe model). This Rite-Aid had the 'classic' style marked 50% off at $12.49!
I bought one & submitted online for the SCR for it and YES!....it went through.
So I bought it for $13.24(tax, you know), got the $14.00 rebate.
I made .76¢.

Now before you laugh your head off at me for going to this trouble to buy something to make .76¢, remember that I can now take said Night Guard and sell that puppy on eBay!
Research shows that I can get at least $8 or so for it there.
And if I had bought it as part of a $25 order, I could have received $5 off that order.
If you need to get to $25 to use that $5 off coupon for Rite-Aid AND these are on clearance at your store, it's a great thing to buy to boost your total.

But you need to hurry, because the July SCR period ends on Saturday! If you are going to get one, get it before then.

I bought 2 btw.....1 for me, 1 for B-I-L. Made $1.48 overage and will sell both of eBay and make another $16 there.

Happy Hunting!

This is the 4th Post in My Rite-Aid MAY Single Check Rebate PLAN. See the 1st installment HERE & the 2nd one HERE & the 3rd one HERE.

To recap, here are the Rebates I have qualified for so far.

Total of $55.71 in Rebates

Total Out of Pocket $55.26-including tax.

Everything free once the Rebates come in plus getting paid 45 cents.
*********************************

The Plan from Part 2 has changed a bit. The Centrum Cardio SCR & the Centrum $10 rebate are NOT for the same size container. I can't buy 1 container and use it for both rebates. The size for the Centrum rebate is 180 capsules and cost alot more than the $10 Rebate offer. The size container for the Rite-Aid SCR is 60 capsules but the rebate is only for $1. Even with the $2/1 Q for it, I'll be spending about $7 OOP to get that $1 rebate, so these are out.

Here is what I bought on Sunday. This was done in 2 Transactions but if your Rite-Aid will take more than 1 Internet Printed Coupon Per Transaction, you can do this all in 1 Transaction instead. I had IP Qs for the Bayer & the Rite Aid 5/25 Q and they would only take one. **If you CAN do this in 1 transaction, leave out the Pop-Tarts. They were a cheap 'filler' for my purposes to get me to a $25 total.

Alaway Drops $7.99
Wound Wash $5.49
Right Guard Clinical Deodorant $5.99
Pop-Tarts $1.50 **Not Pictured**
Electrasol Dishwashing Detergent $4.99 **Not Pictured**
Subtotal $25.96

Coupons Used
Alaway Drops Q from Inserts $4.00/1
Wound Wash Peelie on Lid $1.00/1
Right Guard Q from Inserts $1.00/1
Pop-Tarts Peelie $1.00/1
$5/$25 Rite-Aid IP Q $5.00
Total Coupons $12.00

Tax $.66
$26.62-$12.00=$14.62
Spent OOP $14.62

Bayer Crystals 10 ct. $3.99

No Tax
Used Bayer IP Q -$1.50
Spent OOP $2.49

Total OOP for both $17.11

The Alaway ALSO qualifies for Offer #500-the Allergy Rebate check. (I now qualify for this highest level Gift Card for this offer, the $25 GC.)

New Rebates I qualify for with this purchase.....
Alaway $7.99
Wound Wash $5.49
Right Guard Deo. $5.00
Electrasol $2.00
Bayer $3.99

So I added $39.47 in refunds to my total(with $15 more on the $25 Allergy Offer) & only $17.11 was spent.

Total of Rebate due me is now $95.18($70.18 Cash/$25 Gift Card)

Total Out of Pocket until rebates come in is $72.37.

This Plan now has me getting $95.18 worth of products for FREE PLUS I'll get my initial $72.37 back And get paid $22.81 MORE to take the items.
Well $22.81 of it will be a Gift Card, not cash, so technically I am OOP $2.19 and I profited $95.18 worth of product AND a $25 Gift Card.
Would you spend $2.19 on $120.18 worth of products?

I have a couple more items to purchase(the Gillette Deodorant this week and maybe something next week)before my plan is complete.

Check back for the last installment in this series soon.
