I like to sleep with my bedroom window open this time of year. The pile of cats make me hot so 50s is perfect for sleeping.

I am just looking forward to finally being able to wear my leggings! HA! The weather has turned cooler, so definitely excited about that! Our neighborhood is a busy place on Halloween and we look forward to all the trick-or-treaters as well! azuniga99(at)yahoo(dot)com
ReplyDeleteFall is the time of year we can get back outside and not melt from the heat. lol
ReplyDeleteFor autumn we usually go up to Apple Hill - we used to get our Christmas tree there when the kids were little and we got a real tree, now we just go for fudge & caramel apples, lol.
ReplyDeleteI like to sit outside, sip hot tea and admire the fall color. Yup, couch potato first class! LOL

Any way regarding Out my window my name JRE joannrae@hotmail.com
ReplyDeleteSweater weather, by a fire after a day that combined leef peeping, stop for apples, and maybe a winery. Perfect fall day.
ReplyDeleteFall was always a good time of the year when I was young and looking forward to picking pecans on our ten acres. I love pecans as a result of this time of my life. I have been excited this last month as I look forward to pecans.
ReplyDeleteIt is finally cooler here in the South. The days have been beautiful, although it still does get a little warm in the afternoons. I am enjoying sitting in my swing and feeling the cooler breezes. clarksrfun at gmail dot com
ReplyDeleteI love to sit on my enclosed back porch after work with hot tea and watch all the leaves change and drop. I have a big backyard which is against a large lot with many trees. I love it, my husband who has to rake, not so much!
ReplyDeleteYour giveaway box is awesome!

decorating for the season, fire pit fires while sitting on the swing, crisp mornings with warm afternoons. Fall harvest from the gardens. Spiced apple cider, stews with dumplings, sales on meat.
ReplyDeleteI am looking forward to going to the Pumpkin Patch with the grandkiddos.
ReplyDeleteI always like to go for long hikes in the woods and enjoy the local apple cider.
ReplyDeleteThe kids and I went apple picking and had a great time. We have made apple sauce, apple juice, and apple syrup.
ReplyDeleteAutumn is my favorite season. I love all the fall smells! Apples, leaves, fresh air, Halloween Candy, etc.! --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteMy mother in law always makes pumpkin cakes and sends the vegan one home with us. Other people eat the regular version so we currently have about 3/4 of a sheet cake in the freezer.

We like spending as much time outside as we can....looong, cold winters here. Enjoy the trees with walks or car rides. Visiting apple orchards and pumpkin patches. Decorating for the season. The start of soup season! ...also clearing out stuff we don't need/want anymore and getting the kids to (finally!) take their stuff :)
ReplyDeleteJust yesterday drove to Pennsylvania to pick up 4 bushels of apples for eating and canning. Also went to the gourd farm and picked an armful of sunflowers. My friend and I did this last year and now it's our fall tradition!
ReplyDeleteYou are such a sweetie to do these giveaways. This is leaf time at our house - oh so many leaves! We will be raking and bagging for months. And then there is one huge tree in the corner of 4 properties that holds on to all it's leaves until the other trees are done. Then dumps it's leaves and we start all over again. I just got my raspberries and rhubarb trimmed back for winter and a few more projects to do in the yard. Take care.
ReplyDeleteWhen the kiddos were younger we would go to the pumpkin patch. They loved it and it was fun to watch them running around having fun.

Squirrel season! They’re out taunting Daryl the dog on the fence every day now. Poor little guy can jump for an hour and thinks he’s closer every time!

ReplyDeleteOur house and yard are surrounded by pine trees. The "leaf droppers" are farther away. I love the fall color and enjoy walking through piles of leaves but not the raking.
ReplyDeleteI used to love decorating for halloween for the kids.

One of my favorite memories is when I was two. Mama would push my brother and I in a carriage down a rocky road to a persimmon tree. I loved persimmons and still do. The next year I was insulted that she made me walk so that my baby sister could ride with my younger brother as we went to the persimmon tree. I told my mother this memory when I was an older teen or young adult. She was stunned I could remember this because she said I was only two-years-old. That memory is thanks to my love of persimmons. I rarely find any nowadays, well, the old-fashioned kind, anyway.
ReplyDeleteRain, Rain, Rain! I used to live in Oregon in the Willamette Valley. I swear it rained so much up there! Fog too. When I moved here I would get so home sick when it would rain. Well today was supposed to be the only day out of a 4 day stretch that it didn't rain. Guess what? We have Rain! lol. Oh well things will get a good soaking. And as they say in Nevada - we can always use the rain. Take care.
ReplyDeleteNo heating or air conditioning for almost two months! I’ll probably have to cave on heat soon but the fireplace can make it warm enough for a while.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
I celebrate in Fall that the mosquitoes are gone!
ReplyDeleteI love sweet potatoes, a fall crop. I will make sweet potato pie and sweet potato bread using my pumpkin pie and pumpkin bread recipe.
ReplyDeleteIt has been a beautiful fall weekend here. This morning is church and then I hope to get a Sunday nap and then sit in my swing and read for a little bit. Trying to recharge before the week starts.
ReplyDeleteCold, rainy weather = fires in the woodstove. Love it!
ReplyDeleteLingerlonger8@gmail.com
Favorite tradition is a fire pit in the driveway on Halloween. Last year was too scary but planning to leave candy at the end of the driveway and do the fire closer to the house this year.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Chains needed on parts of the passes between northern Nevada and California. Are we skipping Fall this year?
ReplyDeleteI need some nice fall days to put the garden to bed and finish up some outdoor projects. Fingers crossed that happens soon.
One of my dangers of October today--asthma problems! Oh, goody. And, I had left my inhaler at home. I can remember falls where I could breathe with no fear. The one good thing about this--this was not a problem when I was younger and could stay outdoors without coughing. Memories are good.
ReplyDeleteI bought a huge pumpkin pie at Costco for $5.99. Huge! We have been eating on it all weekend. Yum.
ReplyDeleteThis time of year is when I enjoy dog walking. I skip out all summer.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Heavy grey rainy skies but every so often the sun breaks through and it's gorgeous. Makes my heart sing even if it's only for a moment.
ReplyDeleteLingerlonger8@gmail.com
The rains have finally stopped here. Now it will be time for the beautiful leaves all red and gold to drop. As a kid I never remember a Halloween when it didn't rain. I lived in Oregon in the Willamette Valley. We were a hardy bunch of kids and went out trick or treating anyway.
ReplyDeleteThe leaves are starting to turn colors. They are also starting to fall!
ReplyDeleteFall is my favorite! The weather is just lovely, as are the trees. I like to walk on a path under the trees and just breathe in all the smells. Thanks. --Angie O.
ReplyDeleteFall means college football! Go Vols!
ReplyDeleteDaryl the dog is excited for fireplace season. We turned it on today and he’s been snoozing in the chair in front of it all day.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
The weather has been so nice here in Alabama. I am loving he cooler temps and less humidity here.
ReplyDeleteTime off of work for the upcoming holiday season is my favorite. An extra day off for thanksgiving was just announced.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
Well, just when I bragged on our nice weather, it has turned. It is going to get colder (for us anyway) this weekend. But, that makes good soup weather. Yum
ReplyDeleteBest part of this season is I'm not shaving my legs until spring!

Pumpkin eating time. Pumpkin pankcakes, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin drinks at Starbucks and Dunkin. Gerry T. Merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteOne year our little poodle Merlin snuck out on Halloween. A very large family with multiple adults and about 20 kids hit our house for trick or treat. Merlin was a brown color so when I opened the door for them he slipped out. About 5 minutes later the whole gang was back and I thought hey they have already been here. They yelled trick or treat and handed me our little Houdini. lol.
ReplyDeleteWe have been riding around looking at Halloween decorations in yards. Some displays only can be seen in the day since they are not lighted. Others show at night when they can be inflated. This is a fun activity for the next few nights.
ReplyDeleteCooler weather in New England a wonderful thing after hot summer. GerryT. merlinsfamily@outlook.com
ReplyDeleteI used Halloween as an excuse to dye my hair midnight blue. It's semi-permanent so we'll see what they say at work when it takes time to fade. Maybe I'll dye it black and go goth for the winter.
ReplyDeleteJen G.
This fall weekend I'm taking my mother-in-law grocery shopping and cleaning house. It needs it big-time. Hoping to be able to get in some swing and reading time also.
ReplyDeleteToday is rainy and cool in East Tennessee. That means it was a great day for a ride to see the pretty leaves. Enjoy your weekend. Thanks for the giveaway! --Angie O.
