This Week on the Dining Table

  The "Happy Mother's Day" Edition....



This Mother's Day Meme was going around on Facebook.  That's some sort of a birthing ruler.  1-10 cm showing how wide the cervix is opened at birth.  There was an admonishment to buy something nice for your mother since she went through this for you. lolz
I hope all the moms out there(furbaby moms, etc. too)had a nice day yesterday.  


Onward to the meal planning!

Here's what was planned.....
1. Sunday--Ham Steak, Creamed Spinach, mac and cheese
2. Monday--Leftovers
3. Tuesday--Breakfast for Dinner
4. Wednesday--Sheet Pan Nachos
5. Thursday--Hubs cooking
6.  Friday--Take-Out
7. Saturday--Chicken Fajitas, Spanish Rice

And here's what actually happened........
1. Sunday--Ham Steak, Creamed Spinach, mac and cheese
2. Monday--Leftovers
3. Tuesday--Sheet Pan Nachos
4. Wednesday--Fend for Yourself
5. Thursday--Chinese Takeout
6.  Friday--Salmon, Green Beans, Carrots
7. Saturday--Leftovers

Chicken Fajitas and Breakfast for Dinner didn't happen last week.

What got put into the freezer last week....
*  Nothing

What got taken out of the freezer and used...
*  Ham Steaks
*  Creamed Spinach
*  Salmon
*  Green  Beans

I spent $0 on food/toiletries/HBA this last week. This brings our food/toiletries/paper goods Total to $0 for May.  

There are 22 shopping days left in May.  

I've earned $0 on Ibotta in May.
I've earned $0 on Checkout51 in May.
I've earned $0 on Coupons dotcom/Paypal in May.
I've earned 0 points from shopping on Fetch in May.
I earned 0 Kicks from food shopping on Shop Kick in May. 
I've earned 0 Swag Bucks from food shopping on Swag Bucks in May.

That's $0 in rebates(not counting the Shop Kick/Swag Bucks/Fetch)on $0 in grocery spending so in reality it's $0 spent after the 3 rebate apps I count.

My savings percentage for the last week was 0% (without "regular" Rite-Aid trips)and the monthly savings total for May comes in at 0% so far(w/out R-A).  

Leftovers going into this week....Soup, Spaghetti and Meatballs, mac and cheese.

Here is this week's "food plan".....
1. Sunday--Applebee's Salad
2. Monday--Fish, leftover mac and cheese, Beets
3. Tuesday--Breakfast for Dinner

What do I need to buy to fix everything on this menu? I've got everything I need for what I planned.  Seeing as half the week is NOT planned, we'll see what happens then. lol
After lugging crap to storage and reorganizing things here in the house and garage I am just not feeling the urge to cook/meal plan/buy food.

Any great deals on food at your stores this week?   Great deals considering inflation nowadays.

  1. I have some odd veggies to cook up and chicken thawed, so that's about all I got. Probably will do stir fry or something to go with egg rolls. I just have no motivation and would happily just eat popcorn and fruit

  3. There are green beans and cabbage, cooked and ready to eat and freeze. The refrigerator is full of stuff. We just need to see what meat I have thawed to cook. I just don't care right now. Yummy food is what is cooked and waiting.
