I had $59 left in Weis Catalinas to spend by June 30th.
5 of them were for $10 and you could only use 1 of these in a transaction.
The smaller denomination Cats have no limit on how many could be redeemed in a transaction.

Not bad for starting with $59 in free money to spend. ;-)

What great deals did you find at the stores this week?

Got My Stuffing!....More Boring Food Shopping

I hit Weis for the Pepperridge Farm/Campbell's/Swanson Deal on Friday....

2 x PF Cornbread Stuffing on sale=$5.00
4 x Campbell's Soup on sale .80¢=$3.20
4 x Campbell's Gravy on sale .50¢=$2.00
1 x Dr Pepper Ten on sale=$1.67
Subtotal....$11.87

Coupons Used
1 x .25/4 Campbell's Gravy ManuQ(doubled)=$.50
1 x .30/4 Campbell's Cooking Soups ManuQ(doubled)=$.60
1 x FREE ITEM Dr. Pepper ManuQ=$1.89 *
1 x Instant $5.00 off Discount WYB $15 of deal items=$5.00
Discounts Total.....$7.99

$11.87-$7.99=$3.88+.10¢tax(on soda)=$3.98 OP
Regular retail would have been $18.43 on all this stuff, for a savings of 78%.
EGADS!
$18.43 for this little pittance?  It's a wonder how people who don't shop the sales, loss leaders and/or use coupons or deals can afford to feed themselves anymore!

*The cashier took off the regular price of the Dr. Pepper instead of the sale price, so I got an extra .22¢ discount.   Kind of makes up for having to pay tax on that soda, huh?  ;-)

I was all set to hand over my $5 Catalina Q to roll it after I gave her my coupons but then I realized that the PF/Campbell's/Swanson Deal was an INSTANT DISCOUNT, NOT a Catalina Deal.

No harm, no foul....I just have to hope for a Cat Deal next week to roll it or I'll have to spend the $5 Cat.

So I realized while laying in bed last night that you could do that PF/C/S Deal and get 12 cans of Gravy for $1.00  12 cans is over $15 reg. retail.  It comes to $6.00 on sale this week and after the instant $5 discount, Voila!....$1 OP without any Qs.

Maybe I need to drop by Weis today again and get a load of gravy for the Food Bank?  Since not everyone makes it from scratch, it could be a worthwhile donation.

If you just want the Soup it will run you $4.60 for 12 cans w/out Qs and after the instant discount.

Other than Weis and the local Shursave grocer, I am off to do some shopping today with Hubs.  Heading to KMart, Fashion Bug(to use a gift card I've had since last Xmas!lol) and who knows where else at this point.lol

Getting to the Rite-Aid This Week

As soon as we got home on Monday I rolled up to Rite-Aid to get the freebies with BIL's card......

4 x Colgate Toothpaste on sale $2.99=$11.96
2 x St. Joseph Aspirin on sale $1.50=$3.00
SubTotal.....$14.96

Coupons Used
3 x $1/1 any Colgate Toothpaste ManuQ(5/5SS insert?)=$3.00
Coupon Total....$3.00

$14.96-$3.00=$11.96 OOP
I used $11.60 in +Up Rewards to pay and put the other $.36 on my Rite-Aid gift card so ZERO money spent.
I received back $14.96 in +Up Rewards so I am 'up' $3.36 in +Ups for this transaction.

Even if you don't have any Colgate ManuQs, the toothpaste is free after +Ups, as is the Aspirin.  Remember that there is a limit of 4 on the toothpaste and 2 on the aspirin +Ups Deals per wellness card.
And if your stores are out of stock, get that Raincheck!!  Make sure they note the +Ups deal on the raincheck, so you can get FREE toothpaste and aspirin after the sale ends on Saturday!

And I noticed today that I hit the $1000 spending mark at Rite-Aid using my wellness card in the middle of May, so I've qualified for the 20% whole store discount already for all of 2012.
Ok, so I haven't actually 'spent' any money at Rite-Aid since last August......which makes this even sweeter, right? ;-)
BIL's card/account is almost at the $500 spending mark for 2011 so he's at the 10% discount for 2012 now and I'm fairly sure he'll get to $1K mark/20% discount by the end of this year too.

How are you doing on getting to the Discount levels for next year?
Do you think you'll get to Silver or Gold by the end of December?

My One and Only Trip to Rite-Aid This Week

I had no +Up Rewards expiring this week for a change.
But I did want to pick up some Axe Deodorant for #2 son so here is what I bought....

4 x Axe Deodorant on sale $4.44 but 20% wellness discount was less at $3.83=$15.32
2 x Fritos on sale $2=$4.00
1 x Sunmaid Raisins on sale $2=$2.00
1 x Bayer Advanced Aspirin on sale $3.99 but 20% wellness discount was less=$3.43
2 x Milky War king sized bars on sale .98¢=$1.96
SubTotal....$26.71

Coupons Used
1 x $1 any purchase AdPerk/VV IPQ=$1.00
2 x BOGO Axe products ManuQ=$8.88  **Cashier took off for the sale price, not the wellness discount price
1 x $1.50/1 Bayer Advanced Aspirin IPQ(forgot to take the $2/1 ManuQ...doh!)=$1.50
1 x $.50/2 any Mars candy bars IPQ=$.50
2 x $.25/1 any Milky Way candy bar AdPerks/VV IPQ=$.50
Coupon Total.....$12.38

$26.71-$12.38=$14.33 OOP

I used $14 in +Up Rewards to pay and put the .33¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $7.99 back in +Up Rewards(2 x $3 WYB 2 Axe, $1.99 Bayer Advanced) so basically the Axe, Bayer and candy bars were free and I "paid" for the Fritos and raisins with some +Ups.

Since between the discount price, Q and +Ups received back made my Bayer more than free I probably won't submit for the MIR that was in last Sunday's coupon inserts(along with the $2 Q I didn't bring to use).  The form states that the Manufacturer will take off the $2 value of the Q from your rebate submission price, so I'd only get $1.43 back, which after paying for the stamp nets me less than a buck.  I'll keep that Q and MIR form to use another time.

So what did everyone else buy at Rite-Aid this week?
I have $30 in +Ups expiring the end of this coming week so I'll be going back soon to spend those.
The Colgate and St. Joseph's aspirin are basically free this week after Q and/or +Ups so I'll probably get them(and donate the toothpaste to the food bank).

End of Last Week & Sunday at Rite-Aid......and a little Grocery Store Shopping Too

While I didn't have any +Ups left expiring on Saturday, I still made another stop at Rite-Aid last week.

I used some rainchecks, which combined with Qs made the toothpaste, toothbrushes and motrin pm free, and the coffee dirt cheap. The shampoo was also free after Qs, sale price and +Ups.  The overage on the Qs for the motrin pm brought my OOP on the coffee and trash bags down to $7.89.  I used $7 in +Ups and put the .89¢ on my free gift card.  I earned $3 in +Ups back($2 for the Vive Pro 'Poo, $1 for 1 of the Glad trash bags).  Value of products purchased was $77.55.

Then on Sunday I did the Clean Home Zone Deal--Receive $10 +Ups WYB $30 of select household products.
I don't have a photo but imagine a picture of 4 12-roll packs of Scott toilet tissue.
4 x Scott TP on sale $7.99=$31.96
I used 4 x $1/1 12-roll pack IPQs and 4 x $1/1 AdPerk/VV Scott TP IPQs, for a total of $8 off my purchase.
$31.96-$8=$23.96
I also bought a Sunday paper for $1, for a total of $24.96.
I used #1 son's Gift of Savings Cert. which knocked off $20 from the total.
Then I used $3.99 in +Ups, for a grand total OOP of $.97, which I put on my gift card.
I received $10 in +Up Rewards back.

I then went to Weis markets to check on the meat markdowns and to stock up on coffee filters for Hubs that are on sale this week for $1.
I ended up spending $28.45 OOP there on 6 boxes of filters, 4 yogurts on sale for .50¢ each, a gallon of 2% milk, a half a chicken marked down to $1.54 and 9lbs. of ground beef marked down to $1.67 lb.
No coupons used and a savings of only 38%.

We are well past the halfway point for April and I am under $95 spent on food/toiletries so far this month.  I may spend another $30 or so before the week is over but we are well under our budgeted $250 amount for the month.

I have $23.98 in +Ups expiring this coming Saturday so I will be making another trip back to Rite-Aid this week.  Not sure what else I'll be getting this week.
What is everyone else getting at Rite-Aid this week?  Any other good deals I am not seeing yet?  Let me know! 8-)

Rite-Aid on Wednesday....Doing the Skin Care Deal

I popped into Rite-Aid on Wednesday to do the Skin Care +Up Rewards Deal.....

4 x Clean and Clear products 20% off wellness discount $4.63=$18.52

1 x $3/1 Salonpas IPQ=$3.00
Coupon Total....$25.00

$27.01-$25.00=$2.01 + .26¢ tax=$2.27 OOP
I used $2 in +Up Rewards and put the .27¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $5 in +Up Rewards back(for buying $15 or more in Clean and Clear Products), so I am 'up' $3 on this transaction.
I am still befuddled on how the tax is added and for what items it is added.  If it's based on the $2 in +Ups after Qs I used it should have been .12¢.  If it's based on all the taxable items I bought it should have been .35¢.  ???

I need to stop in on Saturday for a raincheck since I missed the Motrim PM Deal as the shelves were cleared here.
***A reminder--The $10 and $20 Winter Rewards expire a week from this coming Sunday, March 27th.
So you need to start planning on how to spend them with this coming week's ad or a week from Sunday on the following week's ad.  I'm probably going to burn them on toilet tissue or something I need.
What's looking good to y'all?

$25.06-$14.50=$10.56
I used $10+Up Rewards and put the .56¢ on my free Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $16 in +Ups($3 Gillette, 4 x $2 school supplies wyb2, $5 Darice wyb2), making this a $6 moneymaker.

Analysis....
More 'Poo that after sale and Qs(stack BOGO in recent P&G with $1/1 Q in last P&G)costs you $.75 each bottle.
Clinical Deo', ditto moneymaker, same as last trip.  The foamie crafts are $1.83 w/20% wellness discount and give a $5 +Up wyb 2, so these were a $1.34 moneymaker after +Ups.  If you have the Dec. AdPerks/VV Q for the $5/2 Foamies you could explore other combinations with higher priced craft items.
These Harvard Square school supplies are giving a $2 +Ups wyb 2.  All but the pencil top erasers were $.99(or $.79 after 20% wellness discount), so were a $.42 moneymaker with the +Up for each pair.  The pencil tops were $1.49(or $1.19 ea. w/20% wellness discount)so every 2 packages cost me $.38 after +Up.

I received $9 +Up Rewards for this transaction(3 x $2 school supplies wyb2, $3 Gillette wyb2), making it a $6.50 moneymaker.

Analysis....
The regular strength Gillette Deo' is on sale for $4 and there is a $3 +Ups wyb 2.
Stack the BOGO Gillette Deo Q(current P&G insert)with the $2/1 Gillette Deo Q(last P&G insert)and your 2 Deos cost $2 total.  Then you get a $3 +Up which makes the buy a $1 moneymaker.

**The Olay Body Wash and Olay Lotion is BOGO50% off this week.  Buy one of each, stack the $2/1 Body Wash or Lotion Q(current P&G insert)with the BOGO Olay Lotion/Body Wash Q(last P&G insert) AND the $2/1 Olay Body Wash Flu Booklet Q for a great deal.  It's an even BETTER deal if the cashier rings up the full priced item of the pair as your FREE BOGO Q item.lol

More Harvard Square pencils and erasers=more small moneymakers.

Andes peppermint bark mints...part of the Christmas candy clearance.
They were shouting at me as I passed by the shelf.  I had to quiet them up by throwing them into the cart.  Candy enjoys being told what to do....unlike teenagers.

I used $5+Ups and put the penny on my gift card.
I received $8+Up Rewards($5 Darice wyb2, $3 Gillette wyb2), making this a $3 moneymaker.

Analysis....
More craft kits and Gillette Deo=moneymakers, see above.
Hand Renewal type of Dawn is part of the .97¢ a bottle sale this week around here.  I used a $1/2 Q(the last P&G insert)making my 2 bottles $.47 each.
I needed the marker and it was a good price w/the 20% wellness discount.

Since I've accumulated quite a supply of toys/craft items in the past month at Rite-Aid, I've decided to make a point in 2011 to 'buy' more of this kind of thing.  I don't have children of the age to give these items to but I am going to gather them with an eye toward making a large donation to a local Toy Drive next Holiday Season.  I won't go out of my way to purchase toys/crafts, but if I can pick some things up for free or close to it, I'll include them in my shops.

I 'lost' $2 in  the +Ups count this time but that's the price I pay for more TP.lol
And I keep forgetting to stack the $1/1 Hormel Compleats Q from the Flu Booklet w/my IPQ ManuQ....ugh.

**Ok, the Axe was Buy One Get One 1/2 off, so I should have gotten only $2.84 off with my BOGO Q.
But the register showed each Axe as being $4.55....I think that was the price with my 20% off wellness discount.  So the cashier took off $4.55 instead of $2.84 and I didn't catch it until I sat down to type this out now.  Rite-Aid owes me $3 in +Ups that I never got around to calling Corporate about from 3 weeks ago so I guess in the end it all evens out. ;-)

Monday's Rite-Aid Trip.....Pencils, Notebooks and Book Covers, OH MY!

I drug my hot self out to Rite-Aid after dinner last night.  The place was a freaking zoo!  Hardly an empty parking space outside the store and jammed full of frantic moms inside on the school supplies aisles pawing through what was left on the shelves.....yes, a sure sign that today was the 1st day of school in my town.lol
After snapping up a portfolio for #2 son back in the regular school supplies aisle(I didn't even attempt diving into the mayhem on display in the seasonal school aisles!), I headed to the hair color section and then the baby section, before stopping at the drink cooler next to the registers.
Here is what I picked up....

End of December Spending at Rite-Aid

I finally got out on Wednesday to do my weekly Rite-Aid run.  Since I was so late this week hitting Rite-Aid I missed out on one of the SCR items I wanted to get, the Oral B Power Brush Toothbrush.
All sold out here......bleh.

Here is what I did get.  Remember, I can use the Wellness Card and corresponding Qs.  Make sure you apply for your Wellness Card in 2010 when the program opens up nationwide.  You will have access to IP Qs and have Qs print on your CRT, like the ones I used in this transaction.

Rite-Aid while the Turkey was Cooking

I qualified for SCRs....
$3.00 Scope
$2.00 Toothbrush
$2.00 Herbal Essence
$4.99 Headphones
$1.00 Ivory Soap
$5.00 Duracell(WYB$15)
So  $17.99 more in SCRebates for $1.56 OOP.
$16.43 more in Overage for the month.

And I'll add in that I've already hit the $100 mark on the Holiday GOS Program and will be getting another $20 Gift Certificate to use in January.

I was surprised the cashier(who was also the manager on duty)let me use both the Wellness NB Q and the AdPerk NB Qs.  The last store I tried to use them both at wouldn't take them both along with the Manu/PeelieQ.  So I showed them all to her and asked her if they would take all 3 on 1 product and she said aok.  I guess this is a YMMV situation... 8-))

That is what the total was suppose to be.
The total I paid from my receipt was actually $13.19.
After studying my receipt a couple of days later I have figured out that the cashier didn't charge me for the Ground Beef, but still took off the $3 Discount Store Q from the package.lol
Then she took off the full price on the Hall's($2.19)instead of taking off the sale price of $1.50 on the BOGO package.

So $13.19 OOP and  I received a $7 OYNO Catalina Q hopefully to roll into another Cat Deal before it expires. ;-)
Product value of $93.74 & a savings of just under 86%.

How Many Canned Veggies fit into a Minivan? Part 1

That's the riddle hubby said I was trying to solve today.
On Saturday, I took off for the afternoon(which stretched into the evening too)and made a pilgrimage to Acme.
There is a Buy $30(shelf price), Get $15 Back Catalina Deal this sales week there.  Not as good as the last B30/G15 Deal in August, but with the crappy Deals at Weis around here....I'll take it!!

I had ordered coupons but they didn't come in Sat. morning's mail so I took what I had(some insert Qs and some IP Qs-not much really)and I flew like the wind to the store.  The area I went to had 3 Acmes within close proximity and I planned to hit A, then B, then C and backtrack, hitting B again and A again, before heading home.
I was ready this time.  I had the Qs organized in the envie, I had the shelf/sale prices written out in a chart, I had my calculator and I had done up some scenarios on Friday so I could quickly get a very low OOP after sale prices and Qs.

The B30/G15 deal reportedly was doubling and tripling but I kept to single transactions to keep under the radar.  After the "being held captive episode" in Aug. at the evil Acme, I wasn't about to try stacking multiple $30 transactions.

So what happened?

First off, some of the items were on "knockdown".  While this is good for regular shoppers(because the price is lower), this is BAD for working a Cat Deal.  If an item is on knockdown, it means the shelf price does NOT apply.  IE-BC Cake Mix, the reg. shelf price is $1.59 so buying 19 boxes will put you over the $30 mark($30.21 to be exact).  However, the cake mix is on sale for $.99 box, meaning you will pay $18.81 for 19 boxes instead of the shelf price of $30.21.  Use the $15 in Cat Qs from your previous transaction and you pay $3.81 for 19 boxes of cake mix(or less if you have Qs for the cake mix) AND you get another $15 in Cat Qs to roll into another transaction.
Being on "knockdown" means you now have to buy 31 boxes of cake mix to get to the $30 threshold.
Using your $15 in Cats from a previous transaction means you have to pay $15.69 for those 31 boxes....$.49 a box for cake mix is ok but not such a great deal compared to $3.81, right?
So the items that had "knockdown" prices blew some of my scenarios right out of the water.
Ugh!

That was about the only problem....that and they were cleaned out of the Chicken Broth.  Having to do scenarios on the fly took me longer, making for a very long day.  But being out of the house and away from dogs, kids and yes, even hubby was a nice change.  That and there were hardly ANY people in this Acme!  I was there for many, MANY Hours and there was barely a line at anytime throughout the day/evening.

I never even got to the other 2 stores.  The store was deserted, was stocked and no managers bitching at me for doing small transactions.
Every B30/G15 Transaction worked perfectly and I got all my Cats each time.  Oh, it was a thing of beauty I tells ya!
Some of my OOPs were a bit high(because of having to rework most scenarios to use what few coupons I had and to allow for the "knockdown" prices),but I managed to keep most of them under $1 for each transaction.

It was Acme Heaven!lol

The cashiers were young, males....my FAVORITE kind of Cashier.  No hassles from them or management.  By about the 10th trip through the register, it got to be a joke with the cashiers.....one of them asked if I had my sleeping bag so I could take a nap(it's a 24 hr. store) and another was going to get me a job there as a goodwill ambassador, for my work helping other shoppers find items in the store.
Why is it people always think I work in whatever store I am in, and start asking me questions, like I'm an employee??  This happens to me alot!lolol

Anyway, I took it slow and just kept doing transactions...
One.
After.
Another.
I took a break after 5 or 6 and went down the street for a late lunch/early dinner at a Chinese place.
Then back in for another 5 or so.
Then back to the car to call home and have some water and a banana I bought.(Had some overage to kill so I bought 1 banana...lol)
Then back in and more shopping.

I noticed a sign in the front window about a FREE TURKEY Deal....spend $300 and you get a free bird.  None of the stores around me locally do the Free Turkey for Thanksgiving anymore.  Only Shop-Rite and I haven't been in there in awhile so I'd probably never spend that much in time to get the bird.  All the grocery stores use to do the Free Turkey, then they stopped a few years ago.  Now it's either a piddly little Gift Certificate($5 or $10 depending on how much you spend)at the local grocery or a percentage off your next shopping trip at Weis(10% after you spend $300).  I hate those percentage deals because they make you spend $300 and up to get them.  Now once most people have spent $300 or more, they really don't need to spend a big amount the next shopping trip, so they spend like $50 and get $5 off.  Big Whoop, I say.....  To make a percentage deal good, you need to spend ALOT.
I don't know, I just always thought those were lame offers.  I'd much rather spend $300 and get a turkey. ;-)

So back to the Sign at Acme....they are running a spend $300, get a free bird.
So after the first 6 transactions, I look at my receipt to see how they are calculating for the free bird-what I was actually spending or what the total was before discounts.

I had spent about $6 OOP at that point.
The receipt said I had $92+ toward the bird.
So that became my GOAL for the day.
To do enough transactions that my "spending" was over $300 and I could get a Free Turkey.
I told the cashier I couldn't go home until I spent enough for the turkey and it became a running concern each time I hit the register.....
Will she spend enough this time???!!!
How many more trips will she have to do???!!!
Can her legs hold out to $300??!!

I finally shot past the magic number of 300 at around 7pm.
She shoots, she scores!

And there was much rejoicing in Acmeland.....

Then 1 final shop to get the bird and roll that $15 in Cats one more time....

So, after we get a shovel and "dig out the backseat area of the car" tomorrow in the daylight, I can take some pictures/make a list/get my receipts and do a final tally of my numbers.

For now, I am going to bed....my feet are killing me!

Steak for $1.99lb.....alriiiiight!!!
I may be forced to go back and buy another Whole Eye Round before the sale ends this week.  If you shop at Weis, be sure and look for this Beef deal this week.  They also have boneless leg of lamb for $3.99lb.....a most excellent price for Lamb!  I may have to get a couple of those for the freezer too.

Oh, and I almost forgot about the other thing(s) I picked up at Weis the end of last week.....

You are looking at 28 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks/Roll-ups/Fruit Bites.  The last thing I need is more of these....but Weis insisted I take them!!
Weis has them on sale for $1 a box when you bought multiples of 4.  I had .40¢ Qs that doubled to .80¢.
Plus there was a Catalina deal that when you bought 4 you got a $2.50 OYNO Q.  That Deal ended Oct. 31st.
When I saw this deal on Thursday, the day the new sale week started, I dug out that big wad of Fruit Snacks Qs and hit the self check-out, buying 4 boxes at a time over the course of 3 days.
Total after coupons, $.80, get $2.50 Cat.
Rinse and repeat.....
Weis paid me $1.70 to take every 4 boxes home.  I made a profit of $11.90 buying all this.

Saturday's Shopping....a little good, a little bad, alot of savings

I ran out Saturday to do errands and got a good bit of shopping done.

First to Rite-Aid.  I hadn't been in to do the rest of the week's FAR items yet.

2 x Cornflakes BOGO =$4.49
1 x Single Pop-Tart Pack=$.79
1 x Eos Lip Balm=$1.99
1 x Chloraseptic Sore Throat Strips=$4.49
1 x Little Allergies Allergen Block=$9.99
SubTotal=$21.75

Coupons Used
1 x $5 off $20 Rite-Aid Q(from watching AdPerks videos)
1 x $5 any Kellogg's purchase at Rite-Aid(from a previous month's SCR deals)
Coupons Total  $10.00

$21.75-$10=$11.75+.12tax=$11.87 OOP

Will receive $16.47 back from SCRebates(Little Allergies/Eos/Chloraspetic), making this trip a $4.60 Moneymaker!

None of the Rite-Aids around here had the FAR Blink Tears last week.  This was an item I had a $3 Q for so it would have given me a $3 overage on this 1 item.
They also ran out of the Sambucol Lozenges before I got a chance to use my $3 Q on that, so I missed out on adding $6 overage onto my SCR total for October. Ugh

Then I stopped at another Rite-Aid to pick up a few more FAR things on BIL's tab.

1 x NeilMed Nasal Mist  =$9.99
1 x Coldcalm Children's=$7.99
1 x Zucol Tablets=$5.99
SubTotal=$23.97

Coupons Used
$5 off $20 Rite-Aid Q(from watching AdPerks videos)
$2/1 NeilMed
$1/1 Coldcalm
Coupon Total=$8.00

$23.97-$8=$15.97 OOP

I will receive $23.97 back in SCRs.
**WRONG**
I will receive $15.98 back in SCRs!  Why?  Because I already bought the Coldcalm/Chestal stuff on a receipt I have to submit for BIL and not for me, because of the other stuff I bought on that receipt.
This is what happens when you are working 2 different Rebate names/addresses and you get mixed up and buy the wrong thing on the wrong receipt.  LOLOL  So I "stupided" myself out of $7.99 in rebates....ok, make that $6.99 in rebates because I got $1 off of the purchase using the coupon.

So in the end, I spent $15.97 OOP and I'll get SCRs of $15.98 back, so I "made" .01¢ on these items.lolololol

That's ok, I'll be able to send for the NeilMed rebate on the nasal mist thing, so I'll make up a buck or two there.

Then I ran to  Walgreen's because I had $14 in expiring RRs.  I did the following....

I received $11.95 in ECBs($5 for buying $20 or more of Halloween candy/$6.99 for the Glade Candle).
Value of items=$35.95

You may have noticed that there is NO CANDLE in the photo above.
That's because the cashier didn't put the candle in my bag!
The bags were so heavy from the huge candy bars that I didn't even notice there was no candle in one of the bags until TODAY, when I went out to the car to retrieve the bags and photo and put the stuff away!
ARGH!!
So I called the store manager a bit ago and if I take my receipt in and ask for him I can go get my candle.  Seems nobody put the candle aside(as far as he knows) or told him there was a candle that a customer didn't  get.  I have a feeling that my cashier took herself home a free candle on me that night!

I finished up my shopping trip at KMart, to pick up the last 2 packs of Kool-Aid Jammers for the Kraft Back-to-School rebate.  I bought a pair of pants on clearance for $1.99 with the $4 I spent on Kool-Aid for a total of $5.99.  I used one of my $5 off OYNO KMart Qs I received for buying the Clorox products earlier in the week.  I spent OOP $.99 on that Transaction.

Then I went back into KMart and bought 6 Canisters of Clorox Wipes...$2.99 ea. x 6=$17.94+.78tax=$18.72.
I used 2 B2G1 Free coupons and the other $5 OYNO KMart Q(from the earlier Clorox purchase that week), for a total of $10.98 in Coupons.
My total OOP was $7.74 for the Clorox which I put on a KMart GiftCard so zero money spent.
Then the 2 $5 OYNO Qs didn't print!  The one that spits out after the register tape did but the Cat machine one didn't.
Bleh!

Saturday was a mixed bag of the good with the bad in couponing.

Shop-Rite Shopping 9/25/09....Free Shampoo & Facial Tissue + MORE

Shop-Rite had a great price on Ground Beef and Boneless Pork Chops this week so it was worth it for me to take the drive there.  They also had DeCecco Orricchette Pasta on sale for 3/$5.00.  Orricchette is very hard to find locally and it's quite pricey if you can find it or if you buy it online.  And there is NOTHING that goes with a Rustic Pork Ragu better than Orricchette. ;-)

Add in that they also had a Catalina Deal....Buy 2 Herbal Essence Shampoo &/or Conditioner for $2.49 ea. in one transaction and get a $3 OYNO Catalina Coupon.  Pair this with $1/1 Herbal Essence Coupons from the Sunday inserts a few weeks ago and after the first $3.00 spent, you roll the Catalina & 2 Coupons each transaction into a pile of FREE SHAMPOO!

Because of the Catalina Promo, I had to do lots of little transactions(I did 4 to get 6 free bottles of 'poo) but I've grouped it all into one for this post.  Except for the Cantaloupes, my refrigerated items aren't pictured.

I had 2 Wheat Thins IP Qs to use but they were for $1/1.  They beeped as the Wheat Thins were on sale for 99¢.  The cashier told me I couldn't use the Qs because they were for the big size boxes.
Um, NO!  The Qs had NO size limit on them.  She either didn't want to or didn't know or know how to adjust the Qs down manually.  This was at a Rite-Aid distant from my town that I had never been in before.
After I accessed the situation, I decided that it was a case of what Glenn Beck would call, "Arguing with Idiots", so I just didn't push it further and took my 2 Qs back.  My OOP would have been less than $1 but hey....some times it's worth your sanity & stress levels to just pay the $2 extra and get on with your life.  ;-))

So I'm OOP for the 2 Diaper Deal Transactions $2.80.  I'll be getting back $10(SCR#4),$6.99(SCR#23)& $1.00(SCR#90)=$17.99.

Total OOP for the month so far...$2.80

Plus I have 3 jumbo packs of diapers to sell, so at least another $15 potential Profit!

I am considering purchasing $40 worth of Nexus products by Saturday night and submitting for the rebate under my BIL account.  Buy $10 in Nexus and you get SCRebate for $5.  You can do this rebate 4 times.  $40 of Nexxus=$20 Rebate.
Even though I don't have any Nexxus Qs, there are 2 RiteAid AdPerk Qs(a $3 & a $4 one).  Buy 4 products totally at least $40 in 2 transactions, use 2 of each AdPerks Qs($14), 2 Rite-Aid $5/25 Qs($10)and use some of the FREE ITEM Qs from my Oral Care Booklet to get my 2 transactions to $25 ea.
$50-approx.$36in Qs=approx. $14OOP with $20 Nexxus Rebates=$6Moneymaker?
I'll run the numbers on this deal some more  & see if it's worth doing.

I am so lovin' me some Rite-Aid this month!!

I also had coupons for the Sun Crystals that would make them free but they were out of that size, so I got a raincheck.
The dog food cost me .50 a bag, the whole grain pasta cost .50 a box, the Smithfield sausage cost $1 a lb. and all 8 boxes of the Piccollini pasta were Free!
The BEST DEAL though was all that chicken breast--12lbs. total.  1 package was free(BOGO Deal)AND then each package had a $3 off instant store coupon, making the $16.14 package $10.14.  In the end, I got all 12lbs. for .84 & 1/2 cents a lb!  I have NEVER seen skinless/boneless chicken breast around here for that low.  I divided it up and have 6 chicken meals to pack into the freezer for later.
And that P&G Green Rebate check showed up today, just in time to let me get all these items for very cheap.

I'll be hitting Shop-Rite tomorrow if the weather isn't too dreadful here to restock my freezer with Ground Beef, as they have it at a great price this week.
