The Spending O' The Cats....At Weis Markets

I had $59 left in Weis Catalinas to spend by June 30th.
5 of them were for $10 and you could only use 1 of these in a transaction.
The smaller denomination Cats have no limit on how many could be redeemed in a transaction.
This just means I had to make lots of little trips to the store.

Here is what I got on Monday.....

4 x Ocean Spray 100% Juice on sale $2=$8.00
3 x Salmon steaks on sale $3.99lb.=$7.66

What great deals did you find at the stores this week?

Why Can't Companies Do Anything Right Lately?

Yes, my life these days seems like Joe Btfsplk's.
You know....that character from the old Lil' Abner comic strip.....the guy with the dark cloud over his head who goes around spreading misfortune.

Ok, so I don't purposely spread misfortune but I don't seem to be able to get out from under Joe's cloud!
Especially, it seems, when dealing with Corporate America!

Let me say first, that I despise using the telephone.  If I go to hell when I die, it will be a big call center and I'll be damned for all eternity to make phone calls.

In December, my cell phone company billed me TWICE for one month of service....twice within 3 days.
So I had to call them and talk to "Robot John".  He talked like a robot and said his name was "John".  From what I could tell, he was in India, spoke a heavily accented English so he talked like a robot to cover up his true nationality(and went by the decidedly UN-Indian name of John).  It didn't fool me. at. all.  And I didn't care who or where he was, I just was pissed I had to call his company's call center for being charged incorrectly.

Then I bought one of those 'social coupon deals'.  It was a gift card that was to be a Christmas present.
I purchased on Dec. 2nd.  The voucher/code was delayed and not ready to redeem until Dec. 14th.  I redeemed it on the 14th and was told the card would be mailed within 5-8 business days.
It's almost the middle of freaking January and guess what hasn't arrived yet? 8-(
So that necessitated another phone call to a corporate entity's CSC(=Customer Service Center).  After 10 minutes on hold(two times!)I was informed the gift card was back ordered(would have been nice to tell me this oh.....a MONTH ago!)and would be mailed out next week.
Shall I hold my breath on this one?

Also right before Christmas, the 3 packs of Orbit gum I bought at Rite-Aid for $1 each, that was suppose to give me 3 x $1 +Up Rewards didn't.  I didn't bother calling about it until last week when I had another problem with something else at Rite-Aid I had to call them about.

I tried the new Rite-aid "electronic e-coupons" that you can load onto your Wellness card(HERE is where I talked about it).  Qs loaded successfully but didn't come off the item's purchase at the register.  After speaking with TWO different people at Rite-Aid CSC(and being hung up on and having to call back!), I was told that a high mucky-muck would be calling me to discuss the issue and work out the "kinks in the system".
This high mucky-muck is supposedly in charge of the whole new e-coupon system and as I am one of the first people to tell them that their system is NOT WORKING!, they want to speak to me and find out why.
Evidently, they really don't want to get it working properly and were just giving me lip-service, since Mr. High Mucky-Muck still has NOT returned my call a week later.
I don't give a crap at this point if their system every works.  I just want my FIFTY FREAKING CENTS BACK for that blasted e-coupon I used!
Next week, I return the item for a full refund, then call back CSC and tell them I am NOT amused and will Twitter evil thoughts about them into the Twitterverse.

And this week?
Oh, you KNOW it has to continue.....this lucky lucky gloomy streak of dispair.
First up....Rite-Aid again!
Earlier this week I bought this.....

1 tube of Ben-Gay, 2 packs of OB tampons and 2 bottles of Visine.(Daughter took one of the tampon packs already.)
SubTotal after 20% Wellness discount was $18.57.
I used a $2/1 Q for each item(either ManuQ from inserts or a IPQ), bringing my total down $10.
Then I used the Sales-Ad Qs for the Bengay($2), Visine(2x$2)and the OB($1/2), for an additional $7 off my total.
After these discounts my total was $1.57.  I had $2 and $3 +Ups to use so very bad planning on my part.lol   I put the $1.57 OOP on my free Rite-Aid gift card instead.

I went into this week with $50 toward the $20+Ups Resolution Reward.  This purchase gave me $19 more toward the $100 needed to earn that reward. (I guess they rounded up from $18.57 to $19?)
There is also a separate J&J Spend $30/Get $10 +Ups reward.  All these items count toward that goal, so I have $19 toward that reward as well.

So I am at $69 toward the $100 mark and $19 toward the other $30 mark.

I go back to R-A the next night and buy this....

2 x Clean & Clear BOGO 50%off($6.29)=$9.43
2 x Axe Body Wash on sale $4.50=$9.00
1 x Bengay w/20% wellness discount=$4.79
1 x Thermacare on sale=$3.00
Subtotal....$26.22

Coupons Used
2 x $2/1 Clean & Clear ManuQ=$4.00
2 x $1/1 Clean & Clear AdPerks/VVQ=$2.00
1 x BOGO Axe ManuQ=$4.50
1 x $2/1 Bengay ManuQ=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Bengay Sales-Ad Q=$2.00
Coupon Total....$14.50

$26.22-$14.50=$11.72
I used $10 in +Ups and put the $1.81($1.72 +.09¢ tax) on my Rite-Aid gift card.
This purchase put me over the $30 spending threshold for the $10 J&J +Ups(which printed)and I received another $3 +Ups for the Thermacare, so $13 in +Ups back.

In addition, ALL THESE ITEMS qualified toward the Spend $100 get a $20 +Up Reward.
So I should be $26 closer to that $100 mark, right.
Nope.....according to my receipt I only got credit for $17 worth of purchases.
I am missing the last $9......which coincidentally is what the 2 Axe body washes add up to.
Hmmmm.....
So I notice that the bottles I bought are "50% more product" bottles.....so not 12 oz, but 18 oz size bottles.
How much do you want to bet that the "50% more product" bottles are NOT CODED AS QUALIFYING PRODUCTS???!!!
So now I either have to call Rite-Aid YET AGAIN and get them to credit my account for this Axe purchase or exchange these bottles for normal sized ones and bet my bottom dollar that the normal sized bottles WILL ring up correctly.  I would get my credit but lose the extra product in the larger bottles.

ARGH.

And to top of my week, I finally get over to Weis(pound you in the ass)Markets to do the Nestle Catalina Deal.
Spend $20 in qualifying products, Get a $5 Catalina Q.

This is $20.43 worth of Nestle qualifying products.
You will notice that there is NO Catalina Q in the picture.
That's because one did not print out.
And it's hopeless to get my Q at this store.  CS is just so clueless about this stuff.
I'm so tired of the 'deer in the headlights' looks and having to explain to them what they should know already.
So now I get the thrill of calling Catalina Corp. to get my $5 CatQ.
(I will add that these were the only 3 canisters of Nestle's Quik in the store.  So much for stocking up on it.)

And you can add in the unmitigated JOY I have been having the last 2 months with the HOMESCAN people(previously known as NIELSON).  Yes, I am one of those schmucks who scans all her purchases via a scanner and reports in to these hallowed marketing gods so they know what kind of crap to put over on sell the American consumer.
That lightning strike we suffered back in late September?  Among the items it took out was the HOMESCAN SCANNER.
Except these nimrods at Homescan don't believe that the scanner if broken and insist I keep using it.
Oh, they are another "piece of work" company which I'll kvetch about another time.

So tired of dealing with companies that suck and telephones.

What companies are on your Shit List this week?
C'mon, spill the beans!
Don't let me wallow around in misery alone....

Good Deals at Weis this Week....1/24/10-1/30/10

As far as using Coupons this week at Weis, there aren't many good deals to be had.  A lot of Weis or house brands featured and the usual 'junk' foods like soda, chips, cookies, etc.(which I don't pay much attention to).

There are a fair amount of BOGO deals this week at Weis, but few that have matching coupons so I am not impressed.

One FREEBIE that I can see...IF you have the right coupon.  Let me know if you see something because I have gone blind looking for them this week.lol

And of course, NO CATALINA Deals either.....sigh....at least I might be able to stay out of the grocery store this week since it's so abysmal.

Here are the CHEAPIES....

Helavu Good Cheese blocks  BOGO (off reg. price of $2.89) $2.89 for 2
--use $1/2 ManuQ(12/13RP insert) and pay $1.89 for 2-less than $1 per block

Baked Lays $3.00
--use $1/1 ManuQ(1/3SS insert) and pay $2 **It's in the database at AFullCup as $.55/1 so the $1/1 is regional...if your Weis doubles, the $.55/1 will still get you $1 off a bag.

Birds Eye Steamfresh Veggies or Boxed Veggies in Sauce $1.00 each
--use $1/2 ManuQ(1/10SS insert) and pay $.50 each WYB 2.**Again, the database lists this Q as $.50/1 so the $1/2 was regional.  If you got the $.50/1 and your store doubles, you get 1 box/bag for FREE instead.

Nabisco Crackers assorted $2.00 a box
--IF the Crackerfuls are included in this sale, use the $1/1 ManuQ(1/10SS insert)to get a box for $1.00
--use $1/1 ManuQ(1/24SS insert)to get a box for $1.00
--use the $1/2 ManuQ(12/13SS insert)to get 2 boxes for $1.00(.50¢ each)

Archway Cookies $2.50
--use the $1/1 ManuQ(11/22SS insert) to get it for $1.50**Again, the database lists this Q as $.55/1 so if your store doubles, still get $1 off 1 bag.  NOT a steal, however these are really good cookies.lol

Friskies Party Mix Cat Treats $1.25 each
--use the $2/2 ManuQ(11/15SS insert)to get 2 for .50¢(.25¢ each)
--use the BOGO ManuQ(1/24SS insert)to get 2 for $1.25(.625¢ each)

And that is about it for Good Coupon Deals.

OTHER DEALS

Meat
Gorton's Seafood Items 40% off
--use the $1/2 ManuQ(1/24SS insert)to get 2 for ?

Produce
Pink Grapfruit $1 each.--about as low as you are going to see at Weis this winter unless they need to unload what doesn't sell fast and offer a 'real' sale on them.

If anyone sees any other good buys this week at Weis, please leave a comment and let us know!

Weis this Week....What is Worth Buying 12/31/09-1/6/10

Here are the Best Deals using coupons at Weis this week.  I am a bit late so you have to get there by Wednesday night as the sale ends then.  Frankly, Weis is a snoozfest this week....MHO folks.lol

BEST DEALS(=Free or almost Free)
Ronzoni Smart Taste Pasta  $1.25
--use the $.75/1 ManuQ and if your store doubles it's either FREE or if your store doubles up to $1 it's .25¢ a box

Yakisoba Noodles  $1.00
--use the $.50/1 ManuQ(10/18SS or last week's SS coupon)and if your store doubles it's FREE

GOOD DEALS(=Cheap)
All Detergent $3.99
--use the $2/1 ManuQ(12/6RP or 1/3RP) and pay $1.99

Sun Crystals  $2.00
--use the $1/1 ManuQ(11/1RP or last Sunday's insert RP) and pay $1.00 a box(50 ct.)

CATALINA DEAL
Buy assorted items(Progresso Soups/Progresso Panko Crumbs/Bunches of Fiber One items/Betty Crocker Warm Delights and/or Gluten Free Mixes/One-A-Day Vitamins/Slim-Fast bars/Ensure Drinks/etc.) Spend $20/Get a $7 OYNO Cat Coupon OR Spend $12/Get a $3 OYNO Cat Coupon

Remember to use the regular shelf price when calculating how much you have spent, Not the sale prices.  There are assorted Manu or IP Qs out there for these things.  Since I am interested in the Progresso and Fiber One items only IF I can get my butt to a Weis that will take IPQs I might do this deal.
But it's far from thrilling and I doubt I can get the totals using Qs down so that subsequent rolling of the Cat will be free or under $2, so I might pass if I can't get motivated.

The BIG NEWS with WEIS this week is they have announced they are going back to a Sunday to Saturday Weekly Sales Ad.  Yep, they are abandoning ship on the old Thursday to Wednesday midweek running Ads as of January 17th or so.

I am conflicted on this change.  On the one hand I always hated this midweek ad because there was never a sales flyer in the Sunday paper, just the midweek paper.  I don't buy mid week papers, just the Sunday one, so if I wanted an actual sales flyer to study I'd have to go to the store to get one just to plan my shopping there.  Which is an extra trip, wasting my gas and just an overall PITA.

The good side of mid week sales was if something was on sale and a coupon came out on Sunday, there was still a few days to get it using the coupon.  Some stores they put something on sale, sale runs Sunday to Saturday, and the day AFTER the sale ends, a coupon comes out.  Having 1 store run midweek, sometimes you could still get said item for cheaper at Weis since the ad was still running past Saturday.  I hope this makes sense.lol

At any rate, goodbye midweek ads, hello Sunday flyer in my paper again! ;-)

So what are you or did you get this week at Weis?  Any deals there you couldn't pass up?
Leave a comment and let us know what ya found!

That is what the total was suppose to be.
The total I paid from my receipt was actually $13.19.
After studying my receipt a couple of days later I have figured out that the cashier didn't charge me for the Ground Beef, but still took off the $3 Discount Store Q from the package.lol
Then she took off the full price on the Hall's($2.19)instead of taking off the sale price of $1.50 on the BOGO package.

So $13.19 OOP and  I received a $7 OYNO Catalina Q hopefully to roll into another Cat Deal before it expires. ;-)
Product value of $93.74 & a savings of just under 86%.

Grocery Shopping This Week

Here's a transaction I did at Weis this week over and over again.

Weis had Carnation Evaporated Milk on sale for $1 a can.  I had a stack of $.50/2 ManuQs, which my store doubled to $1/2(only 4 of the same coupon in a single transaction are doubled).  Not only is Evaporated Milk necessary for making pumpkin or sweet potato pie, but it's a great shelf-stable milk product for cooking, baking and cream soup making so a good thing in a stockpile.

Weis also had a 'deal' where if you bought 5 Betty Crocker products you received an automatic $2 off your transaction.  I had BC Frosting Manu Qs for .50/1 that doubled(up to 4 in a single transaction), so I did this transaction(either alone or with other items) 4 times over the course of the week....

4 x Carnation Evap. Milk on sale $1=$4.00
4 x BC Frosting on sale $1.50=$6.00
1 x BC Cake Mix on sale $1.00=$1.00
SubTotal=$11.00

Coupons Used
2 x Carnation $.50/2 doubled=$2.00
4 x BC Frosting .50/1 doubled=$4.00
Automatic $2.00 off for purchasing 5 BC items=$2.00
$2.50 OYNO Catalina Q(from buying BC Fruit Snacks 2 weeks ago)=$2.50
Coupon Total=$10.50

$11.00-$10.50=$.50 OOP for each of 4 transactions=$2.00 OOP for....
4 Cake Mix
16 Evaporated Milk
16 Frosting

And just what does a person do with 16 tubs of Frosting??

Why, make CAKEBALLS of course!

Weis Sales Ad for 11/19-11/26

Here are some highlights from the new Weekly Sales ad for Weis/Mr. Z's Markets with my personal comments.  My advise is worth what you paid for it...FREE. lol

And no, there are NO CATALINA DEALS this week....if you don't count the Buy Gift Cards and Get a OYNO Cat Deal.  I sure wish they'd include the Weis Gift Cards in that deal!  Then it would be worth doing. ;-)

If you feel I have missed a deal worth mentioning, please leave a comment and let us all know!

I am off shortly to get the stitches in my gum removed.  After the swelling went down, the stitches got loose and I've had this string flopping around in my mouth that has been driving me nuts the past 2 days! lol

What's on sale at WEIS/Mr.Z's this week that 'might' be worth buying....

PRODUCE

Yams $.79 lb.  Probably the best price we are going to see for Sweet Potatoes now.

Collards or Kale  $.69 lb.  A good price for these fresh greens.  *Note-some stores really saturate these with water to keep them looking hydrated and fresh, but all that excess water makes your produce weigh more at the register.  Make sure you give your greens a really good shake or two in the aisle before you bag it to get the water off.  It's not only going to make your produce weigh less(cost you less at the scale)but all that extra moisture when trapped in a plastic bag in your fridge is going to turn it to slime faster if you don't use the greens right away.  Better yet, rewrap your greens in a kitchen towel before you put it in the fridge.  A towel will help keep them fresh until use and let them breath so they don't liquify.

Ocean Spray Fresh Cranberries $2 a 12 oz. bag
Now is the time to stock up on cranberries for your cooking for the months to come.  Fresh OS cranberries are only available for a short time.  I'd suggest getting some extra and putting them in the freezer to use in your baking/cooking later.  Not a wonderfully low price but probably the best you'll see at Weis unless they have tons leftover and put them on clearance but that would be a YMMV situation in your individual store.

MEAT

Weis Turkey still on sale for .49¢ lb.
If you don't have a store giving free turkeys with a minimum purchase or a Walmart with .40 lb. turkeys, this is probably your best price for a bird this week.

Jimmy Dean Rolled Sausage BOGO ($3.99)
Sausage goes on sale around thanksgiving(some people put it in their stuffing so that's probably why).  Jimmy Dean is the primo stuff and hardly goes on sale.  If you regularly spend retail on this sausage, now is the time to stock up the freezer.  While there are a slew of JD Qs floating around the Coupon Universe, there are none for the reg. rolled sausage. 8-(
The pre-cooked JD sausage is also on sale BOGO($3.99) and there IS a $1/1 Q available for the sunday inserts.  If your store let's you use 2 Qs on a BOGO deal, you can get this for $1.00 a box!  Precooked is not much good for stuffing but it's mighty tasty for breakfast.

Weis Skinny Chicken BOGO ($3.49lb.)
Personally, I don't pay over $1.99lb for boneless chicken and I think anybody who is too lazy to buy a piece of chicken with skin on it and remove that skin shouldn't even eat chicken.lol  It's NOT a difficult job to remove a piece of chicken skin and it's not time consuming so don't tell me you don't have time to do it.
$3.49 or more is way too much to pay per lb. for chicken breast.  I think even on sale half price like it is this week for $1.75 lb. is a bit much.
However, if you like this stuff, this price is better than retail.  That's all I'm going to say. ;-)

Catfish Fillets are an ok deal at $4.99 lb.

LIVE LOBSTERS $6.99 lb.-2 days only!(11/20-11/21)
Ok people, this is NOT something Weis carries on a regular basis.  And though this isn't the BEST price for Lobster, it IS the best deal arond here in landlocked PA at the moment.  I'm saying that on condition that this IS North American/Maine Lobster-which I can't tell from the ad if it is, or it's those nasty South American Lobsters which aren't quite the same, but ARE lobsters.  If you are loving yo'self some Lobster, make sure you get to Weis/Mr. Z's on Fri. or Sat. and get you some a' this!  Lobster is a budget buster but what a way to rip up your budget!lol
Personally, No. American Lobsters that are harvested in the cold weather months taste better than what most people get on vacation in the hot weather months.  The cold weather lobster has a harder shell and is more difficult to crack into but it's worth it, as the meat is tastier.  That's IMHO here. 8-)

A quick note on Meat---I found marked down Smithfield brand Pork Roasts last night.  These Pork Roasts are labeled as Slow Cooker Pork Pot Roast!lolol  I just had to laugh about calling pork, pot roast.  They are sized to fit into a crockpot.  Your Weis probably carries these and they don't seem to be a fast moving item, hence the mark down to get rid of them.  Might be worth  looking for them, to watch for a clearance.  I got a $5.32 one (not quite 2lbs. so it's about $2.69lb reg. price).  With the $3 off Meat sticker it was $2.32 or about $1.20lb.

DAIRY

Weis Brand Butter 1lb. $1.67
Except for 1 store locally that has butter for $1.49, this price seems to be as low as you are going to find this fall.

Kraft Cheese(shreds or blocks) $2.00 each.  There is a $1/2 Q from the sunday inserts out there for this, making it $1.50 a piece.  You can do better at Target this week with their sale price of $1.67 and the Q making it $1.17 when you buy 2.....that is, if your Target isn't sold out already like mine always is.

Philly Cream Cheese 4 for $5.00($1.25 ea.)  Buy 3, use the $1/3 Q from the sunday inserts and you pay $2.75 for 3 boxes, less than $1.00 per box.  You can probably do as well with a store brand cream cheese on sale w/out Q somewhere else this week but it's an ok deal if you have to have Philly.

OTHER

Carnation Evaporated Milk $1 each  This is still on sale, and use the $1/2 Q from the sunday inserts 2 weeks back to pay .50¢ a can WYB2.  A must have for pumpkin pie making and a good emergency shelf-stable milk &/or good for creamed soups/gravies.

Fleischmann's Yeast $1.50 a strip
Pair with the $.40/1 Q from sunday inserts to pay $1.10 or $.70 if your Weis store doubles Qs up to $1.  If you bake and you like Fleischmann's and your Weis doubles Qs it's time to stock up.  Remember though, Weis only doubles up to 4 of the same Q in an order, so if you want to buy more than 4, buy it in lots of 4, it in separate trips to the store.
Personally, I think buying the bigger Jar of Yeast is more cost effective but these strip packages are good to have on hand for holiday baking.

Ore-Ida Steam and Mash Potatoes $3.00
Ok, if you like these Lazy People's Potatoes and you have the $1/1 Q from the Parade Magazine in Sunday's paper, you can get this for $2.00.  Personally, I wouldn't buy this stuff but if you want it/need it, buy it now with the Q.

Birds Eye SteamFresh Meals $5.99
IF you have the BOGO Birds Eye SteamFresh Meal Q from the sunday inserts in October, you can get 2 bags of this for $5.99($3 a bag).  I have a IPQ for $1.50/1 off this also which would make these $2.25 a bag.  Not sure where I got it from but go google it and you might find a source for an IP Q as well.

Coke 3 for $4 2 liter bottles($1.34 ea.)
Some areas received a $1/5 Coke 2 liters Q in the sunday inserts. Using that Q would make the Coke bottles $1.14 each.  I don't buy 2 liter bottles of Coke so I have no idea how good a deal this is.  You tell me!lol

Pompeian Olive Oil $6.99
There's a $1/1 sunday inserts Q from August so this would be $5.99 for 32. oz. bottle.  Pretty decent for Olive Oil.

Dole Fruit $1 a can.  There's a $.35/1 pineapple from the sunday inserts a couple of weeks ago.  If your Weis doubles, get a can for .30¢.  There is a .50/1 IP Q available Here.

NON-FOOD
St. Ives Body Wash BOGO
Not sure on the reg. price here but there is a Q from last sunday inserts for $1/1.  Use 2 Qs and you might have a deal here on 2!

Marcal Small Steps Napkins $2 each
If your region didn't get the FREE napkins Q and got the $1/1 instead, this week is the time to use it and get a package of these for $1.  Not free-and you KNOW I am pissed off about NOT getting that free napkin Q-but a buck is ok.

Marcal Small Steps TP 12 roll or 8 roll Paper Towels $4.99
If you have the $2/1 Small Steps TP Q from the October sunday inserts, a package would be $2.99.  Not bad for 12 rolls.

Scotties Facial Tissues/Small Steps Facial Tissue/Renuzit Air Fresheners  $1 each
All these have Qs available from the sunday inserts so you can get them even cheaper.  Small Steps might be free depending on your Q, the Renuzit has a B2G1Free so after Q it's 3 for $2.00, and the Scotties Q is $1/5 so not such a great deal at $4/5.

Weis Deals this Week...11/12-11/18 What is Worth Buying?

I know my blog hasn't been a place to come for coupon match-ups for deals but I thought I'd give it a shot with Weis Store Ads. There are plenty of blogs that do the major chains and the national ones but I can't find many folks doing the small chains & regional stores like Weis.

Doing Store/Coupon match-ups is hard work(now I know why!lol)so if you regularly have a blog source to find out the deals where you shop, please take a minute to send that blogger a note of appreciation for all they do.  I am sure they would welcome it.

I don't have a local national chain grocery store, or even a Super Target or Super KMart.  I've got Walmart(which I only shop at rarely), the local independent stores(that deal reporting won't do anybody any good unless they live within 20 miles of here) and I've got Weis, our region chain.  I figure there are some other Weis shoppers reading this blog out there in need of Deal Ideas, so here we go! 8-)

Here are the Deals I see in the current Weis/Mr. Z's Sales Flyer for 11/12-11/118.  This list is NOT all the deals, just the ones I thought were worth taking advantage of this week.  If you see other deals that are worth spending your hard-earned CASH on, leave a comment and let us all know!

WEIS DEALS FOR 11/12-11/18

MEATS

*Weis Frozen Turkeys  .49lb.
Unless you have another chain offering free turkeys w/a min. purchase requirement or selling lower(or can find a Walmart with the .40lb. birds)this is the best deal on turkeys .
*Top Round Roasts or London Broil Steaks  BOGO (reg. price $5.29)
Personally, I try not to pay over $2lb. for meat, but at $2.65lb., this can be a pretty good deal if you can find 2 packages that are marked the same price/same weight.

 DAIRY/REFRIGERATED

*Pillsbury Grands Biscuits 3/$5($1.66 ea.)
There are numerous Grands Coupons out there from the Sunday inserts in the last 2 months so you can get these for about $1 a roll.  There are online printed coupons sources too like coupons.com and the Pillsbury website.
*Pillsbury Cinnamon or Crescent Rolls 2/$3 ($1.50 ea.)
Ditto
*Breakstone Sour Cream $1.29
Not a tremendous deal, but my Weis has a Blinkie Machine in the aisle with $.55/1 Coupons for this so $.74 a container which is Great!
*Reddi-Wip $2.00
Online Coupon Here for $.50/1, if your Weis doubles & takes IP Qs, makes this $1.00 a bottle.

FROZEN FOODS

*Bird's Eye Steamfresh or Blends 2/$4($2 ea.)
Assorted coupons both from inserts and online available to make this about $1 a bag.

Both Sunday insert Qs and online Qs available to make this either FREE or $.50 a box.

*Klondike Bars 2/$5($2.50 ea.)

*Gold Medal Flour $2
PURCHASE Any FIVE of these items in a Single Transaction and you get $2.00 OFF YOUR SHOPPING ORDER.
There are .50/1 Qs from the Sunday inserts a week or so ago for the BC Frosting.
DEAL IDEA--Purchase 4 Frostings ($6) & 1 Cake Mix($1)for $7.  Use 4 x $.50/1 BC Frosting Qs(doubled makes this $4 off), for a total of $3.  Weis deducts $2.00 off your order for a grand total of $1.00 for all 5 products!  GREAT DEAL if you need Cake Mix/Frosting.  If you'd rather have 1 Flour instead of the Cake Mix, your grand total will be $2(unless you have the IP Q for the GM Flour left-no longer available to print), then your total is still $1 for all 5.

*Diamond Nuts(Shelled Walnuts) $3.99
Sunday insert Q $3/2 Diamond Nuts in last week's paper.  Buy 2 for $7.98-$3Q=$4.98 for 2lbs. of shelled Walnuts. GREAT PRICE!

*Carnation Evaporated Milk $1.00
Sunday insert Q $.50/2, doubled by Weis makes the CEM $.50 a can.  This product is indispensable at the Holidays for Pumpkin Pie and a good thing to have on your shelf to have a milk product when you are out of fresh.

*Pillsbury Pie Crust  $2.00
Again, my Weis has a Blinkie Machine with $1/2Qs(won't double) making them $1.50 per box of 2 crusts.  There is also an IP Q for $.50/1 on coupons.com.

*Chex Cereals 3/$4.50 MUST BUY 3
Sunday insert from Oct.(SS)had $1/2 Chex Cereal Q.  There is also an IP Q (same amount)on coupons.com.  Buy 3, use 1 coupon and your total is $3.50 for 3, makes it $1.17 per box.  Not bad.

*Kellogg's Cereals(Corn Flakes/Raisin Bran/Raisin Bran Crunch/Raisin Brand Extra!/Frosted Mini-Wheats)2/$5.00($2.50 ea.)
BEST DEAL-The Corn Flakes.  Use the $1/1 Q from last Sunday's insert and get it for $1.50 box.

Sunday inserts last week has $1/2 Qs.  Buy 2 and pay $3.34-$1Q=$2.34 for 2 boxes, or $1.17 each.
Not bad for something with wild rice in it.
IF you purchase $15 of Uncle Ben's by Sunday 11/15, you can send in for the $5 REBATE Here .
9 Boxes=$15-4x$1/2 Qs=$11 + $5 Rebate=$6.00 for 9 boxes of rice, or $.66 a box.

*Heinz Gravy $1
Some areas received a $1/2 Sausage Gravy Q in the 11/1 inserts, which would make this flavor of gravy $.50 a jar when you buy 2.  There is a IP Q Here for $1/3, which would make the price $.67 ea. when you buy 3.

There are Unilever Coupons slated to be in this Sunday's inserts, so some of these products could make for a nice LOW PRICED DEAL!  After I see which Qs we get, I'll post a few scenarios for this Catalina Promotion.

*GIFT CARDS
Purchase $100 in any combination of Gift Cards and receive a $3.00 OYNO Catalina Coupon
Purchase $150, receive a $4.50 OYNO Catalina Coupon
Purchase $200, receive a $6.00 OYNO Catalina Coupon
IF you are planning on purchasing Gift Cards for anyone this year take advantage of this deal!
Personally, I wouldn't do this deal unless I was going to buy gift cards anyway.  But you might as well buy them at Weis and get something for doing so, right?lol
I had a great plan to go ahead and buy Weis Gift Cards before shopping for groceries there and then using them to pay for my purchases.  BUT WEIS Gift Cards do NOT qualify for the Cat Coupon Deal.

However, if you plan on making a purchase at a store that Weis offers gift cards for, buy the Gift Card and then use it to pay at the store instead of using cash.  That's what I'll be doing next week when I take my daughter out to buy some clothes....we'll pick up a gift card for whichever store she wants to make the purchase from and use that instead of cash and I'll get a $OYNO Cat to use next week on groceries.
FREE MONEY for something you are going to do anyway is ALWAYS a good deal!

I also had coupons for the Sun Crystals that would make them free but they were out of that size, so I got a raincheck.
The dog food cost me .50 a bag, the whole grain pasta cost .50 a box, the Smithfield sausage cost $1 a lb. and all 8 boxes of the Piccollini pasta were Free!
The BEST DEAL though was all that chicken breast--12lbs. total.  1 package was free(BOGO Deal)AND then each package had a $3 off instant store coupon, making the $16.14 package $10.14.  In the end, I got all 12lbs. for .84 & 1/2 cents a lb!  I have NEVER seen skinless/boneless chicken breast around here for that low.  I divided it up and have 6 chicken meals to pack into the freezer for later.
And that P&G Green Rebate check showed up today, just in time to let me get all these items for very cheap.

I'll be hitting Shop-Rite tomorrow if the weather isn't too dreadful here to restock my freezer with Ground Beef, as they have it at a great price this week.
