Shopping Last Week, Meal Plan This Week & My Weis Deal

Last week's meal plan is in the books.  Here is what actually happened....

SUNDAY--Baked Catfish, Crab Cakes, Hush Puppies, Coleslaw
MONDAY--Kielbasa, Onions, Sauerkraut, Rolls
TUESDAY--Hot Dogs, nothing else*
WEDNESDAY--Subway subs*
THURSDAY--Frozen Pizza and Fritos*
FRIDAY--Tuna Noodle Casserole, Brussel Sprouts
SATURDAY--Chicken Parmesan, Pasta, Broccoli

B-IL though I showed him all the good stuff I had stocked up for him to cook, he didn't make much of an effort feeding them all while we were gone. (The * meals were while we were gone.) No veggies at all were consumed, just processed food. Pizza and Fritos?.....really??lol
I left $30 cash too, that he used for the subs and 1 gallon of milk he bought.  There was no money left so either he pocketed the rest or they also had Chinese or burgers somewhere as well.
Whatever.

I spent....sit down for this...... $144.69 at the grocery stores last week.
Ack!
$61 of that was grocery shopping on vacation.  The rest was 1 trip to the local ShurSave affiliate and 4 trips to Weis to do the Catalina deals. There was a Kimberly-Clark Buy $21/Get $7 OYNO Cat Deal and a Heinz Buy $20/Get $7 OYNO Cat Deal.
Among the K-C products that qualified were Huggies baby wipes.  I know this falls under TMI(=too much information)but I "heart" baby wipes for those times when you do #2 and you want something wet and soothing against your bum.  Ya know what I mean?lol  I started using baby wipes 20 years ago when I had my first baby and I haven't stopped. ;-)
Because of couponing deals, I haven't had to pay for baby wipes in 2+ years.  And my stockpile was down to 3 boxes of wipes so I was soooo glad(nay, RELIEVED!lol)to see this Cat Deal included Huggies wipes.
I bought 9 packages last Monday, paid $16.91(used 1 $1 Q)and got the $7 Cat and we were off to the races!
Of course, we left town for 3 days and then the Blizzard on Saturday so I was only able to roll this deal 2 more times.  I did 1 pack of TP and 5 boxes of wipes on each roll using Qs for the TP so I was OOP about $8.44 for each roll and ended up with 19 boxes of wipes and 2 mega packs of TP.
The last $7 Cat I used to do the Heinz deal once since the only items that qualified that I needed was pasta sauce and ketchup.  4 bottle of each came to $10.16 + another $7 Cat to use this week or next.  $1.27 for each pasta sauce and 40oz. bottles of ketchup was pretty good.

And yes I did go back to Weis and complain about being overcharged 1 penny on those packs of burritos!  The CS person looked at me just like Hubs did....that "you have GOT to be kidding me!" look.
I told her, "Weis advertised these 3 for $10.  I was charged $10.01.  The price guarantee policy says I get 1 item for free and my penny back for being overcharged, so yes, for $3.34 and a free item I AM going to complain!"lol
Hubs says I am exploiting the store and if everyone took advantage of this policy they would go out of business.
I say if they have a policy, and they are in the wrong and have to correct the error, then who am I NOT to hold them to their own policy!  Now you would think they store would have the computer error corrected after having to pay out, right?
Nope.  I went back to the store on Friday and the signs are still up and I am guessing that the price is still ringing up wrong.  If they pay out because of this policy and then don't even go to the trouble of fixing the system error, it either means the corporate management is incompetent or is making so much profit that it doesn't matter that they are giving out free product.
A smart person, with a lot of time on their hands, should have gone to Weis every day and bought 3 packages of burritos and then demanded $3.34 in cash back.  Maybe next time I find an error in pricing I get a bus load of friends to go to the store and have each of them buy an offending item and then hold the store to the price guarantee.  Maybe about 30 people in a row demanding refunds would make them actually FIX the ERROR next time.....or maybe not.lol

My savings percentage was only 37.86% last week, as the reg. retail was $232.86 on the groceries I brought home.  The items I bought at the ShurSave affiliate weren't all on sale but I am still trying to up my total there for the Turkey Day gift certificate.

This week's menu.....
SUNDAY--Chicken & Dumplings
MONDAY--Sloppy Joe on Rolls, Cauliflower
TUESDAY--Ravioli, Salad
WEDNESDAY--Sausage Sandwiches on rolls, Corn
THURSDAY--Pork Chops, Cabbage, Sweet Potato Fries
FRIDAY--leftovers
SATURDAY--leftovers again

At present, my October food spending stands at $604.51 with 1 day left in the month.
This will increase a teeny tiny bit as I am rolling a next Cat Deal at Weis today.

Taking my $7 Cat from last week and I did this first thing this morning.....

6 x Puffs facial tissue on sale $1=$6.00
1 x 12 pack of rolls=$2.19
SubTotal was $8.55 w/tax.

I used ...
1 x $1/6 Puffs ManuQ
1 x $7 OYNO CatQ
Coupon total.....$8.00
$8.55-$8.00=$.55 OOP
And I got a $5 OYNO Catalina Q.

The Puffs are part of a P&G Catalina Deal this week.  Buy any 5 qualifying P&G items and get a $5 CatQ.  I got 6 to use the coupon.  The Q made that extra Puffs free so why not buy 6 for free rather than 5 for free, right?lol

Now I can take that $5 Cat and roll it for 5 more free Puffs, over and over again until there are no more Puffs in the store or I have no more room for them, whichever comes first.lol

I also had 70 points for Gas at Weis so I got $25 of FREE gas for the Savings Mobile on Friday before the storm hit.
Sweet!

Other than this Puffs Deal at Weis and spending at the ShurSave affiliate to get to my Turkey Day gift certificate(there are 2 weeks left to qualify), I don't see much food shopping in my future this week.

How about you?  Any MUST HAVE deals where you are?

Savings rate of 56.50% not counting the Cat Q.

I did the GM deal twice in one transaction and both $4 discounts came off with no problem.
The meat came out to $2 a lb.(and most of it was cubed steak)so that was a good deal.
#2 son loves me for getting the junk and soda. If I roll this catalina deal to get a small soda stockpile again, I'll be hiding the soda in my closet.  That's the only way I can keep #2 son from sucking it all down too quickly. lol
The GM Instant Discount Deal is a good one.  Nothing free but if you buy items with coupons available or the cheaper items(like veggies, soup, cake mix, etc.)you can get some deals there this week.  With Qs the Progresso comes out to .50¢ a can and if you buy 8 Green Giant veggies it comes out to .25¢ can w/out Qs....of course, they only have 3 different veggies to choose from. 8

Back to bed and more pills for my back.....

Weis Pet Food.....What I Ended up Doing Last Week

The last you heard this intrepid Couponer had 2 $10 OYNO Catalinas and was out of Mighty Dog $3/5 cans Qs but had other Qs to use for more almost free dog food.

So we did this on Saturday....

2 x Beggin' Strips reg.$3.29/sale $2.50=$5.00
2 x Kitten Chow reg. $1.89/sale $1.50=$3.00
2 x Purina Dog Chow 20lb. bag reg. $11.99/sale $9.99=$19.98 **Not Pictured**
1 x Friskies Cat Treats reg. $1.49/sale $1.25=$1.25
SubTotal  reg. $35.85/sale $29.23

Coupons Used
2 x $1/1 Beggin' Strips ManuQ=$2.00
2 x FREE Kitten Chow ManuQ=$3.00
2 x $1.50 Dog Chow ManuQ=$3.00
1 x $1/1 Friskies Cat Treats ManuQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$9.00

$29.23-$9.00-$20.23

Used 2 x $10 OYNO Cats=$20.00
$20.23-$20.00=$.23 + tax $1.75=$1.98 OOP
And I received another $10 OYNO Catalina

I was so glad and shocked! that they had restocked the Kitten Chow that I had FREE ITEM Qs for...otherwise my OOP would have gone over $2.75 with the tax.egads!lol

All together, including the dog food I bought at the local independent grocery,  I spent out of pocket $6.59(2x $1.98+$2.63), all but .93¢ of that was TAX.  And if you count the $10 Cat I have left, I am "up" $3.41 in overage.

230 cans of Mighty Dog
40lbs. of Dog Chow
3 bags of Friskies Cat Treats
2 lb. of Kitten Chow
2 bags of Beggin' Strips
That's $176.81 Retail Value of Pet Food +1 $10 Catalina
And it all cost me $6.59.

Oh yah!!

Sluggy

Wednesday, May 5, 2010

Woof means "Thanks Mom for the Cheap Dog Food!"

I went and got 40 of these Mighty Dog $3 off 5 cans Qs a couple of weeks ago to add to the few I already had.  I spent last week taking 4 at a pop up to the local independent grocery store as this dog food was on sale for 60¢ a can, so I got all this for free......

That's 90 cans there.
And none of the cashiers put the sale under taxable so no tax paid either....sweet! ;-)

So I still had enough Qs left this week, since I didn't make enough trips last week to use them all, to do some scenarios at Weis Markets.  These Mighty Dog canned foods are part of a Catalina Deal at Weis this week....Spend reg. shelf price of $35 on select pet foods, get $10 OYNO Catalina/Spend $25, get $5 Catalina.

So I went up to Weis on Monday and bought this.....

60 x Mighty Dog Cans reg. .60=$36.00/on sale .55=$33.00
Used 12 $3/5 Mighty Dog Qs(adjusted down to $2.75/5)=$33.00
Total....Zero+$1.98 tax=$1.98

And I received a $10 OYNO Catalina

So I hiked up again today and bought this.....

54 x Mighty Dog Cans reg. .60=$32.40/on sale .55=$29.70
2 x Friskies Cat Treats reg. $1.49=$2.98/on sale $1.25=$2.50
Total.....reg. retail $35.38/sale price $32.20

Coupons Used
10 x $3/5 Might Dog Qs(adjusted down to $2.75/5)=$27.50
2 x BOGO Mighty Dog Qs=$1.10
1 x $1.50/1 Friskies Cat Treats=$1.50
Coupon Total....$30.10**
Suppose to be $30.10 but the cashier put the BOGOs through at $1.25 each....huh?  So instead of $1.10 off on the Mighty Dog BOGOS I got $2.50 off.....oooookkkkkay!
ACTUAL Coupon Total....$31.50

$32.20-$31.50=$.70 + $1.93 tax=$2.63 OOP
And another $10 OYNO Catalina.

I had planned on getting some FREE ITEM coupon Kitten Chow bags but they were out.  If I had been able to get those and use the Qs for them, my total before tax would have been a ridiculous 15¢ instead of 70¢. lol

Now I am out of Mighty Dog Qs but I have 2x $10 Cats and here is what I am planning on getting tomorrow.
**IF the other Weis store still has any Purina Kitten Chow on the shelf(which is free with the coupon from Sunday's insert)I'll do this....

2 x 17lb. Dog Chow reg. $11.99=$23.98/sale $9.99=$19.98
2 x Kitten Chow bags reg. $1.89=$3.78/sale $1.50=$3.00
2 x Beggin' Strips reg. $3.29=$6.58/sale $2.50=$5.00
1 x Friskies Cat Treats reg. $1.49/sale $1.25
SubTotal.....reg. $35.87/sale $29.23

Coupons Used
2 x $1.50/1 Dog Chow=$3.00
2 x Free Kitten Chow=$3.00
2 x $1/1 Beggin Strips=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Friskies Treats=$1.00
Coupon Total....$9.00

$29.23-$9.00=$20.23

2 x $10 OYNO Cats=$20.00
$20.23-$20.00=$.23 + $1.35tax=$1.58 OOP
And I get another $10 OYNO Catalina. ;-)

Te recap that will be.....

3 Friskies Cat Treats
2 Beggin Strips
2 bags of Kitten Chow
2 l7lb. bags Dog Chow
204 cans Mighty Dog

For a grand total of .93¢ + $5.26 in TAX!=$6.19 OOP
And a $10 Cat left to spend.

Are you working the Pet Food Catalina deal this week?  What is your plan?

What's Worth Buying this Week at Weis Markets...3/7-3/13

It's an interesting week at Weis.  Nothing free and not much cheap but interesting nonetheless.

MEAT
Perdue Frozen and Weis All Natural Fresh Chicken is 40% off.
Angus Top Round Roasts are BOGO. Reg. price is $5.29, so if you can find 2 Roasts that are about the same size, you'll pay $2.65 lb.
My meat pick of the week is the Catfish, Flounder or Tilapia Fillets for $3.99lb.  The best price/value item here is the Flounder, which you hardly ever see for less than $7 or $8 lb.  This Fish Special comes IQF in bags of around 2lb. each so you'll have to spend $8+ of your budget.  But you'll have 2 or more meals from each bag, depending on how big your eaters are at your house.  I've already picked 1 bag up and will have to stock up a bit more.

DAIRY
More yogurt...AGAIN!....Dannon for $2 a pack.  Various $1/1 ManuQs out there, so $1 yogurt.
Kraft Singles are $2, so if you found any $1/2 blinkies you can get them for $1.50 WYB2.
Laughing Cow Mini Cheeses are $2.50.  Use the $1/1 ManuQ and pay $1.50.

PRODUCE
Not much at a real good price this week.  Grapes are still $1.99lb., strawberries aren't quite seasonal yet so $2.50 lb.
My local store had a special on Empire Apples...$2 for a 3lb. bag so I picked that up.  Smaller apples in it which is good for the teens to take to school.
If your store has the loose mushrooms, they are a better deal at $2.99lb. than the packaged sliced ones on sale for $2 for 8oz.
You'll probably do better buying the Weis brand bags of veggies this week over in the frozen section.  Some of them are $1 per 1lb. bag.

BREAD
Sara Lee Bagels are BOGO($3.69).  There's a $.55/1 ManuQ in the 2/21 RP insert.  Use 2 and if your store doubles, pay $1.69 WYB2($2.69 WYB2 if your store won't take 2 Qs on a BOGO.

CATALINAS
There are FOUR Catalina Deals this week.   I've done some recon work for you on the 1st three Cat deals, so here are the Regular Shelf Prices so you can figure your scenarios.  REMEBER--Weis calculates off the reg. shelf price, not the sale price for purposes of seeing if you bought enough to trigger the catalina coupon.  In this way, "Spend $XX" means you don't necessarily have to spend that to qualify for the Catalina IF the item is on sale.  So you can get a deal even without a coupon...of course, coupons would make this better and cheaper!lol
Please keep in mind that the reg. prices at my local Weis make NOT be the exact same prices at your Weis.

#1  $3 Cat WYB $12/$7 Cat WYB $20 KELLOGG'S products
Kellogg's Corn Pops/Apple Jacks/Froot Loops   Shelf $4.29/Sale $2.50 **Blinkie machine with $.70/1 on the shelf!
Pop-Tarts 12 ct.    Shelf $2.99/Sale$2.50
Kashi Hot Cereal    Shelf $3.19/Sale $2.50
Keebler Chips Deluxe or Fudge Shoppe  Shelf $3.59/Sale $2.50
Cheez-its Crackers    Shelf $4.19/Sale $2.50
Nutri-Grain Bars   Shelf $3.29/Sale $2.50
Fruit Snacks   Shelf $2.69/Sale $2.34

The items here are junk food...sugared cold cereal, pop-tarts, cookies, fruit snacks, though it does include Kashi Hot Cereal.
If you need the cold cereals in this Catalina, do this transaction....
5 x Corn Pops/Apple Jacks/Froot Loops  Shelf $21.45/Sale $12.50
Use 5 of the $.70/1 Qs from the Blinkie Machine...$12.50-$3.50=$9.00 and if you are rolling one the $7 Cats your total is $2.00 OOP!

#2  $3 Cat WYB $12/$7 Cat WYB $20 on Heinz Products
Smart Ones Entrees(smaller sizes)   Shelf $2.50/Sale $2.00
Smart Ones Entrees(6-11 oz.)   Shelf $3.33/Sale $2.50
Bagel Bites   Shelf $2.60/Sale $2.00
TGIF Appetizers or Poppers Stuffed Jalapenos  Shelf $3.79 or $3.49/Sale $3.00
Classico Sauces  Shelf $2.55/Sale $2.00
Heinz Ketchup 40oz.  Shelf $2.85/Sale $2.00
Ore-Ida Potatoes/Onion Rings  Shelf $2.89/Sale $2.50
Ore-Ida Steam and Mash   Shelf $3.89/Sale $2.50

Now is the time to stock up on your Heinz ketchup!  Coupons are non-existent on the ketchup but there are coupons floating around for most of the other items that qualify for this Cat.
I'll definitely be doing this Cat a couple of times.   Freezer space limits me on the frozen stuff however.

#3  $3 Cat WYB $12/$7 Cat WYB $20 on Clorox owned brands
Clorox Bleach 82-96 oz.   Shelf $1.99/Sale $1.79
Clorox 2 Color Safe Bleach   Shelf $5.29/Sale $4.49
Clorox Wipes   Shelf $2.89/Sale $2.50
409 or Clorox Anywhere   Shelf $2.79/Sale $2.50
Clorox Clean-Up or Pine Sol  Shelf $3.75/Sale $2.99
Brita Water Filters   25% off  Shelf price
Glad Trash Bags 14-35ct.   Shelf $4.39/Sale $3.50
Glad Pres N'Seal or Containers or Bags  Shelf $?/Sale $2.50
Fresh Step Cat Litter   Shelf $10.49 or $10.95/Sale $8.49
Kingsford or Match Light Charcoal   Shelf $11.99/Sale $8.99
KC Masterpiece BBQ or Marinade Sauce  Shelf $2.89 or $2.99/Sale $2.50
Hidden Valley Dressing   Shelf $3.65/Sale $3.00

Another Cat I'll be rolling.  If you are in need of Brita products, I found some packages of the faucet system had $10 MIR stickers on them($5 WYB the faucet system and $5 off WYB a replacment filter later on). There are coupons available online so the Cat with the 25% off makes this a possible good buy.  I'll be picking up loads of bleach here.

#4 $5 Cat WYB$25/$10 Cat WYB $35 on P&G products

I don't know about you but I am just about P&G'ed out!lol  There is nothing much I want/need here after getting tons of P&G at Rite-Aid over the past 2 months for almost zero OOP.  Unless there is an incredible deal(like the recent Gillette Body Wash and Deodorant Deal with great high value coupons), I don't buy toiletries at grocery stores so I didn't check the shelf prices on these items, sorry.

So what are you getting at Weis this week?
What great deals did you find that I didn't see?  Let us know!!

Weis is Lousy with Catalina Deals This Week!

I was going to do my run down of what is worth buying at Weis Grocery Stores this week, but this Week is a Holy Week at Weis it turns out and I can't be bothered with regular old what's cheap or free this week.
There are FOUR, COUNT ' EM FOUR CATALINA DEALS!!!

Of course, they aren't Fabulous though.....alot of the products don't have any coupons currently available and some of them are specialty items like baby food, diapers and pet stuff, so if you don't have a 2 legged or a 4 legged baby in your home, you don't need/want to do some of the Cat Deals.  Take out the unhealthy stuff(cake mix, frosting, ice cream, etc.)and the high price point items(big bags dog food, boost nutrition drinks, paper towels and adult diapers..lol)and you are left with barely enough stuff to pull together a decent scenario.

Here are the Catalina Deals with the shelf prices/sale prices from my local store(your store may be a bit higher or lower so be sure to check before working your scenarios).  I spent Sunday afternoon reconnoitering at my local store to get the prices.

Remember the SHELF PRICE is what you need to get to, not the sale price!  Then deduct your coupons to get to your OOP.

Cat Deal #4 is junk....difference between shelf and sale prices are small IF THERE AT ALL.  Most are high priced items and coupons don't bring it down enough for a low out of pocket.
Add in that the Cat is only $5 and the buy point is $20 which is a 1:4 ratio.
Bleh....

Cat Deal #1 has potential...especially if you have a cat and it eats Fancy Feast.  $1.25 shelf to $.50 sale price plus there is a $1/24 cans Q for this stuff.  IE--buy 28 cans(shelf price is $35).  28 cans at $.50=$14 OOP.  Add in a $1/24 Q and you pay $13.00.  Get a $10 Catalina.  Buy 28 more cans...use another $1/24 Q and the $10 Cat and your second batch of 28 cans costs you $3.00 OOP and you get another $10 Cat to keep rolling.  If you did this deal 5 times(and had 5 $1/24 Qs)you would end up paying $25 OOP total, have 140 cans of Fancy Feast and a $10 Cat leftover to roll into something else.
That's .178¢ a can plus $10 worth of Cat.

I see potential in the Chef Michaels Dog Food too. Buy 9 bags($35.91 shelf price)for $31.50 and use 9x $2/1 Qs=$13.50 OOP and get a $10 Cat.
Roll the deal.
Pay $3.50 for the next 9 bags and get another $10 Cat.
Roll it 5 times and you end up with 45 bags, $27.50 OOP and a $10 Cat left to roll into something else.
That's .61¢ a bag plus $10 worth of Cat.

Even the water deal, if you buy bottled water has merit.
Buy 14 Aqua Pod Packs($35 shelf price) at $1 a pack=$14 OOP.  Get a $10 Cat.
Roll the deal again using the Cat and pay $4 OOP for the next 14 Packs.
5 Rolls and you have 70 packs of Water, OOP $30 and a $10 Cat left to roll into something else.
That's .428¢ a pack of 8(.053¢ a bottle) plus $10 worth of Cat.

Here is the BEST DEAL I see.....
In CAT DEAL TWO....there are 2 potential MINI CATS you can do inside this Deal!
Buy your $30 shelf price worth of items but be sure to include in these items....
6 Pillsbury(rolls/cookies) and 6 Old El Paso items.
Not only will you get an $8 Cat for buy $30 of items, you will get a $4 Cat for buying the Pillsbury items and a $3 OYN Meat purchase Cat for buying the Old El Paso items!
That's $12 in Cats to roll and a $3 Cat for buying meat.

I hope this gives ya'll some items.
Let me know if you see a particular scenario worth doing.
Dang, I wish I had some more OEP Qs!!!

WEIS Catalina Deal ALERT this week....Wait until Sunday to Do It!

Ok, so Weis in their infinite generosity has gifted us Coupon Hounds with a not ONE but FOUR Catalina Deals this sales week.
One of the Deals involves among other things--Eagle Condensed Milk, Crisco Oil, Folgers and Pillsbury Brownie Mix, Cookie Mix and Frosting.  Buy $12, Get a $3 OYNO Coupon or Buy $20, Get a $7 OYNO Coupon is the pay-off on this Cat Deal.

Weis is well-known for being savvy at 'playing the game' with couponers.  You know what I mean....the 'game' being, they put items on Catalina Deals that have NO current valid coupons available to use on their purchase.  Meaning that we can't take a good deal(the getting $ off coupon back for purchasing stuff ON SALE but our spending is calculated using the REGULAR SHELF PRICE-so we don't have to actually spend $20 to buy $20 worth of product)and make it amazing(by purchasing the items with the deal using coupons, so that we pay very little out of pocket to get that $ off coupon).
Other Grocery Chains.....the best being the SuperValu family of stores.....offer Catalina Deals on a larger scale than Weis and also offer them on items that have coupons available to bring your costs even lower.  And these 4 Catalina Deals at Weis this week fall into their usual **insert sarcastic voice here**-->"Oh Biiiiig Deal, a Weis Catalina" category.

But guess what?  Looking over the To-Be-Released Sunday Coupon Inserts for this coming Weekend the 6 products referenced above have COUPONS!
GASP.....can you believe it?
This means if I buy 1 each of....
Eagle Milk
Crisco
Folgers
Pillsbury Brownie
Pillsbury Cookie Mix
Pillsbury Frosting(tub not can)
and throw in a Pillsbury Cake Mix.....
my total shelf price comes to $21.35
My total with 'sale prices' comes to $15.99
Add 1 of each coupon for all but the Cake Mix, comes to $5.10(when doubled up to $1 at my store)off my total, for a Grand Total of $10.89 and I get a $7 OYNO Catalina Coupon.

I can then go buy the same order of 7 items(using another set of 6 coupons)for a total of $10.89, use my $7 Cat and pay $3.89 out of pocket and get another $7 Cat.

Keep doing this(rinse and repeat)until you run out of coupon sets or $3.89s.

I  bet Weis is betting that everyone who wants these products runs right out at the beginning of the sale ad and buys what they want/need before they realize that there will be coupons available if they wait until Sunday to purchase.
Gotcha WEIS!LOLOL

And all you folks who have a SuperValu owned grocery store.....we are sooo jealous.  This $3.89 OOP on a Cat Deal is about as good as we get here in WEISland, while ya'll get much MUCH better Deals with  potentially much MUCH lower OOP.

Ok...I just wanted to alert the masses out in Weis Territory who were planning on buying buckets of Pillsbury junk, coffee and oil this sales week to hold off until Sunday's coupons come out.

That is all.

Steak for $1.99lb.....alriiiiight!!!
I may be forced to go back and buy another Whole Eye Round before the sale ends this week.  If you shop at Weis, be sure and look for this Beef deal this week.  They also have boneless leg of lamb for $3.99lb.....a most excellent price for Lamb!  I may have to get a couple of those for the freezer too.

Oh, and I almost forgot about the other thing(s) I picked up at Weis the end of last week.....

You are looking at 28 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks/Roll-ups/Fruit Bites.  The last thing I need is more of these....but Weis insisted I take them!!
Weis has them on sale for $1 a box when you bought multiples of 4.  I had .40¢ Qs that doubled to .80¢.
Plus there was a Catalina deal that when you bought 4 you got a $2.50 OYNO Q.  That Deal ended Oct. 31st.
When I saw this deal on Thursday, the day the new sale week started, I dug out that big wad of Fruit Snacks Qs and hit the self check-out, buying 4 boxes at a time over the course of 3 days.
Total after coupons, $.80, get $2.50 Cat.
Rinse and repeat.....
Weis paid me $1.70 to take every 4 boxes home.  I made a profit of $11.90 buying all this.
