Friday at Rite-Aid

Here is my load of goodies I picked up Friday night at Rite-Aid....

1 x People Style Watch magazine $3.99 w/Gold discount=$3.19
1 x Scunci hair bands $5.99 w/Gold discount=$4.79
1 x Sally Hansen Salon Effects nail tabs $9.79 clearanced=$2.44
1 x Pretty Woman fake nails $5.99 clearanced=$1.49
SubTotal....$11.91

Coupons Used
1 x $2/1 People SW mag IPQ(coupons dotcom)=$2.00
1 x $2/1 People SW mag Load2Card Q=$2.00
1 x $3/1 Sally Hansen product IPQ HERE=$3.00
Coupon Total....$7.00

$11.91-$7.00=$4.91 + .06¢tax=$11.97
I used a $4 +Up Reward and put the .97¢ on my gift card.
*Now that I think about it, I should have bought a Cella cherry to get me over the $5 mark and put .23¢ on my gift card.  But I was not thinking last night.lol

I received $5 in +Ups back(for the Conair/Scunci "Spend $10, Get $5 +Ups back" Deal).
And I'll receive a $2 rebate on the magazine.

Now, before anyone starts thinking Sluggy's brain was taken over by aliens, because she just NEVER buys stuff like this!.....I did buy it.
But there is an explanation.....really!, there is. 8-)

Most magazines are drivel.  And after paging through this particular one, I can put it into the drivel category.  It's nothing but ads and more ads......and then photos of "stars" wearing high end stuff, using high end products that the magazine is pushing, so that the reader(usually young girls/teens)will be brainwashed into wanting/lusting after/coveting these goods and the lives of these "celebrities".
Gawd!  What a waste of paper.
I bought it so that I could make a profit of $2.81.
I got $.81 in overage with the 2 Qs to use toward other items in my transaction.  I'll get a $2 cash rebate through Saving Star too.
I'll find someone to give this magazine to....or better yet, I'll just recycle it.
After removing the perfumed pages that is, because if you aren't allergic to perfume, you can put these scented pages in your clothes drawers to act as a sachet. ;-)

While I try hard not to buy stuff I can't use(or find someone who can use it to give things to), I will sometimes do this to roll my +Ups if I can't find something to spend them on.

The Sally Hansen nail things are for my Daughter.  She loves pink camo. ;-)
The fake nails?  Not sure yet....might be coming to a Boring Blog Giveaway Box near you. lol
The fake nails have a SCRebate--$6 back when you buy 3.  But next week, there is a +Ups Deal on them(Spend $12, Get $5 +Up)and they are on sale BOGO50%, so you might want to wait to buy them then....IF you can find any by then.

I also bought 2 of the Home Improvement Cards(which are really prepaid Discover cards)that give $10 +Ups this week when you load at least $50 on them, so I get $20 in Bonus +Ups.

I've got a couple more items to purchase today.....1 Compleat, 2 bags of Ricola and 2 more Home Improvement Discover cards on my Wellness card this time.  All but the cards will be free after Qs and +Ups and another $20 in Bonus +Ups to add to my stack.

Rite-Aid & Complaining

Boy, you hit the jackpot today!
You get to see the spoils from my latest trip to Rite-Aid AND you get to hear complaining.
Lucky, Lucky YOU!

A quickie to Rite-Aid last night......it's a slow week again there.....

2 x Gillette Sensor 3 disposable razors on sale $7.49=$14.98
1 x Conair VIBE hairbrush on sale but 20% Wellness disc. cheaper=$2.63
1 x Revlon tweezer w/20% Wellness discount=$2.39
2 x Milky Way DARK(Mmmmm) candy bars on sale BOGO=$.99
SubTotal.....$20.99

Coupons Used
1 x $2/1 Gillette disposable razors ManuQ(7/22 RP)=$2.00
1 x BOGO Gillette disposable razors ManuQ(8/5 RP)=$7.49
1 x $2/1 Revlon Eye Beauty Tools AdPerk IPQ=$2.00
1 x .75/2 Milky Way candy bars IPQ(no longer available)=$.75
Coupon Total.....$12.24

$20.99-$12.24=$8.75 + .06¢tax=$8.81

I used $8 in +Up Rewards and put the .81¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received back $6 in +Up Rewards(2x$2 WYB Gillette disposable razor pack, 1x$2 WYB Vibe hairbrush or Scuncii hairbands).

The tweezers should give me enough to get the SCR #30(Purchase $5 worth of beauty tools/Get $2).
I was at $4.50 with the last 2 tools I bought so now will be over $5.
Last month's SCR for beauty tools R-A counted the reg. shelf price, even if you bought them on a BOGO50% deal.
So I spent $8 in +Ups and got back $6 +Ups and $2 SCR cash.

*With the 2 razor Qs, I believe these both can be used on Mach 3 or Sensor 3  razors.  Read the wording, look at the picture on it to be sure.  My store was out of the Mach3(since that is the one all the deal bloggers told everyone to buy), but you can use on Sensor 3 as well.

And here is the Deal I wanted to do to CONVERT some +Ups to cash, but my store doesn't carry this product.....
Part of this BOGO50% Deal is the Luster Now! Mouthrinse.  It's usually $6.99 reg. shelf price, so 2 bottles on this sale would be $10.48.

I had these coupons to use....

2 x $1.50/1 IPQ(from their website)=$3.00
2 x $1.25/1 R-A Oral Care book Q=$2.50
Total....$5.50

$10.48-$5.50=$4.98, (and you pick up a small item(Cella cherry)to get your total over $5.  Then you use $5 in +Ups to pay and pay the small change amount left OOP.

Then you take your receipt and apply for SCR #28--Luster Now! Mouthrinse $3 rebate on each.
There is a limit of 2 of this rebate per household, so you get $6 cash back.
Spend $5 in +Ups(and some change), Get $6 cash back.
Awesome, right? 8-)
But only if you can find a store that carries it.  Mine carries the toothpaste and the whitening strips in this brand but not the mouthrinse. 8-(

And that's probably my only trip this week.
Slow week for my needs......they can't all be a trip to the circus.

And I probably thought I forgot about the complaining I promised you in the title, right?
HA!

Well I didn't forget.....but for a change, it's NOT ME complaining!
Evidently I ticked someone off enough that they couldn't be satisfied with leaving a comment on the post, they had to email me privately.
Seems my blog is just for bragging about my Rite-Aid trips.
Because I didn't post details like a deal blogger.
And I posted it AFTER the store had closed that night and the sale was over for the week.

First off, this ain't a deal blog.
I tried that but it bored even ME to tears!lol
It was too much work, too much pressure and just plain boring.
I sit here and pound out posts for the pleasure in it.
I am NOT making a living off this blog.

Blogging?.....for money?.....Really??!!

In the immortal words of Austin Meyers....."That ain't my bag baby!"

You want some suggestions for deal bloggers to follow, let me know and I'll post a few.

And secondly, I don't usually get to the store until later in the week.
I am not sitting in my car at the crack of dawn waiting on Rite-Aid to unlock their doors on Sunday morning.
If I did I think my store would force me to get a job there and start opening for them......I am there a lot but not on a regular basis and NEVER early in the morning.....unless I stayed up all night. hehe

I try to post details on what I buy/what coupons I use if I think it will help someone else see a deal.
So yeah, I guess some days my Rite-Aid posts are mainly bragging.
So sue me......wait, don't do that!

Ok, it's thundering like a bitch here so I am off for awhile.
Everyone leave a comment of the awesome deal you got this week somewhere.

I know SonyaAnn bought every pack of bacon in a 3 state area last week for a ridiculously small cost!
I want to know when she is inviting me over for BLTs!?!? Mmmmmmm....bacon.......

My Rite-Aid Trips on Saturday...Short & Sweet

I have +Ups that weren't expiring until 3/11 so I wasn't going to darken Rite-Aid's door last week.
Until I saw how miserable the R-A ad for the week of March 4-11 was, so I hopped up into Rite-Aid last Saturday afternoon to use some +Ups...

1 x Stop Pain spray on sale=$6.00
2 x Right Guard Deo on sale($2.99)=$5.98
1 x Cella cherry w/20% disc.=$.26
SubTotal....$12.24

Coupons Used
1 x $3/2 Right Guard items IPQ=$3.00

$12.24-$3.00=$9.24
I used $9 in +Ups and put the .24¢ on my gift card.
I received 2 x $1 +Ups back for the Right Guard items.
I'll submit for a $6 refund on the Stop Pain spray thru the SCR, making my "cost" $1.24 for these items.

(Spent $9.24 in +Ups and gift card, get back $8 in cash and +Ups.)

Then I went home and got my Pantene ManuQ I had forgotten to clip from the inserts and got this.....

2 x Pantene conditioners on sale=$7.00
2 x Right Guard items on sale=$5.98
SubTotal....$12.98

Coupons Used
1 x $3/2 Pantene ManuQ=$3.00
1 x $3/2 Right Guard IPQ=$3.00
Coupon Total.....$6.00

$12.98-$6.00=$6.98+ $.06tax=$7.04
I used all my +Ups that were expiring in the next 2 weeks.  I couldn't use either of the $1 +Ups I got in my previous transaction however, as when the tax would come off when I used one, it would put my total in the -.02.  I could have added another Cella cherry to use one of those $1 +Ups and then put .24¢ on my gift card but I didn't feel like doing that.
So I used $6 in +Ups and put the $1.04 on the gift card instead.
I received $4 in +Ups back(2 x $1 Right Guard, $2 WYB2 Pantene).

This transaction "cost" me $3.04".  (Spent $7.04 in +Ups and gift card and got back $4 in +Ups.)

Now if I was smart and more on the ball, I would have gotten to Rite-Aid earlier in the week when they still had that new "Ice Shine" variety of Pantene.  There was a double dip last week....with the weekly Pantene Deal($2 +Ups WYB2 any variety)and the monthly $1 +Ups Deal(WYB1 Pantene Ice Shine variety).  I could have gotten $4 in +Ups back instead of just $2 if I had bought that new Pantene variety, making my Pantene FREE and the Right Guard .50¢ per item.  But they were cleaned out by Saturday of course so my Pantene was $1 a bottle.
Oh well.
Still a good price.  ;-)

Now let's analysis why I bought what I did--
The Stop Pain was bought soley to turn $6 in +Ups back into cash.
The Right Guard deo/body wash because we are running low on men's deo and wash.  There are 3 stinky guys in our house.....'nuff said.
The hair conditioner was for #2 Son as he is almost out and requested more.
The cherry candy was obviously a 'filler' item.....cheap and chocolate.....2 very important criteria for me!lol

So what is everyone else buying at Rite-Aid this week?

Happy New Rite-Aid Year!

So this deal actually got me out of my warm jammies and into clothing to go to Rite-Aid in.lol

2 x Centrum ProNutrients supplements on sale BOGO50%off(reg. $12.29)=$18.43
2 x Colgate Optic White Toothbrush on sale $3.49=$6.98
1 x Oral-B Xaction Power White Toothbrush on sale=$5.99
SubTotal....$31.40

Coupons Used
2 x $5/1 ProNutrients IPQ(on red plum website)=$10.00
2 x $4/1 ProNutrients AdPerks/VV Q=$8.00
2 x $3/1 Colgate Optic White Toothbrush AdPerks/VV Q=$6.00
1 x $1/2 Colgate Toothbrush ManuQ(1/1 insert)=$1.00
1 x $3/1 Oral-B Power White Toothbrush ManQ(1/1 insert)=$3.00
Coupon Total.....$28.00

$31.40-$28.00=$3.40
I used $3 in +Up Rewards expiring this week and put the .40¢ on my free Rite-Aid gift card.

I received $2 +Up Rewards back(wyb 2 ProNutrients).
I also qualified for $6.99 in Single Check Rebates--$2.99 for the Oral-B toothbrush and 2 x $2 for each ProNutrient supplements.

So I'm "down" $1 in +Ups but I'm getting $6.99 in cash back on this transaction......or I "spent" $1.40 in +Ups and gift card credit but Rite-Aid is paying me $6.99 in CASH for this stuff.  Either way you look at it, it works for me!lol

The Colgate toothbrushes and ProNutrients stuff qualify toward the BUY&SAVE $20+Up Resolution Reward.  Spend $100 in qualifying items and get a $20 +Up Reward back.  The amount is tracking on your receipt and this transaction got me to $25.  It actually should have been $25.41 so I'm thinking it's not recording increments less than $1?  Maybe it will roll over and record that .41¢ once I buy another .59¢ worth of qualifying product??

If you want to do this deal you'd better hurry because the ProNutrient SCR is only good on purchases made through 1/3/12, which is today!  It's still a good deal but you don't get $4 back unless you buy the supplements today.

I Went Back to Rite-Aid!

I had $48 in +Up Rewards expiring this Saturday I earned from my trips to Rite-Aid 2 weeks ago.
And the eBay buyers were driving me batty today so after dropping a package at the UPS location I popped over into Rite-Aid to see what I could score......

Transaction #1
2 x BC Cookie Mixes on sale 2/$4=$4.00 *counts toward Saving Star
2 x SunMaid Raisins on sale 2/$4=$4.00  *counts toward Saving Star
2 x Diamond Almonds on sale 2/$6=$6.00

1 x Duracell batteries 9-vold 4 pack on sale=$9.99  *counts toward Saving Star
1 x Alka Seltzer on sale=$4.99  *counts toward Saving Star
1 x Sucrets on sale=$2.99  *counts toward Saving Star
6 x Mentos mint rolls on sale 3/$2=$4.00  **actually rang up $3.99 total instead
2 x M&M bags on sale $2=$4.00  *counts toward Saving Star
SubTotal....$60.73

Coupons Used
1 x $1/2 BC Cookie Mixes IPQ=$1.00
2 x .50/1 Diamond Almonds Tearpad=$1.00
1 x John Frieda Foam hair coloring HomemailerQ  from Rite-Aid=$11.99 ****
1 x $1/1 Duracell batteries ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $2/1 Alka Seltzer ManuQ=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Sucrets ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $1/2 M&M ManuQ $2=$1.00

Coupon total....$18.99

$60.74-$18.99=$41.74

I used $41 in +Up Rewards to pay and put the .74¢ on my free Rite-Aid gift card.
I got $15 in +Ups back($2 Alka-Seltzer, $3 Baking Supplies, $2 Sucrets, 2 x .50¢ Pure Silk shaving cream, $2 Duracell, 3 x $1 Mentos rolls, $1 wyb2 Monster drinks, $1 wyb2 M&Ms).
I qualified for $1 SCR(Duracell).

I have $48 toward the $50 needed to get the $10 Saving Star +Ups this week.  I bought $50.74 worth of Saving Star items above so some thing or things didn't register though they had a shelf tag with the STAR on it! Grrrr

So I bought 2 jars of Jif peanut butter, which are Saving Star items this week and some more Mentos.....

 Transaction #2
2 x Jif PButter on sale $2=$4.00 *counts toward Saving Star
6 x Mentos rolls on sale 3/$2=$4.00 **rang up $3.99
Total....$7.99

I used the rest of my expiring +Ups, $7 worth and put the .99¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card so Zero OOP.

I got back $14 in +Ups....the $10 wyb $50 of Saving Star items, 1 x $1 Mentos *** and another $3 wyb $12 in Baking Supplies.

The limit on the Mentos +Ups is evidently 4 $1 ones.  Instead of 3 x $1 when I bought 6 this time, I only got 1 and the message "You have received the maximum number of +Ups for this item".

***The surprising +Up was the $3 Baking supplies one.  I have only bought $18 total in qualifying items for this $3 wyb $12 +Up. (You can do this one twice, so spend $24, get 2 x $3 +Ups.)  But I got a second $3+Up at $18.  Hmmmm.....

To recap.....
I rolled all $48 in +Ups, spent $1.73 on my gift card, will receive $1 in SCRs and have $29 in new +Up Rewards that expire on 12/24.

And I got all the stuff above and didn't spend a penny in cash.

I got a raincheck for the Brita pitcher(they were out)and I'll check some other Rite-Aids for more $50 Home Improvement Gift Cards(they were out) on Saturday.

****The Free John Frieda home mailer from Rite-Aid arrived yesterday in my mailbox....just in time to use it this week to get $ credited toward the Saving Star total since the JF hair color is a qualifying item this week.  Thanks Rite-Aid for some good timing for a change. ;-)

The funny thing today was when the Asst. Manager came up to me and asked me if I had been sick or something.....because she hadn't seen me in the Rite-Aid for months and she was worried about me.  She had been asking all the staff if they had seen me lately and when nobody had, she had gotten worried.  What a sweetie!  I told her I was sorry I didn't let her know I was taking a break from deal hunting and the next time I did, I'd let her know. ;-)
Well it's nice to be missed.....I think.lol

Last Rite-Aid Trips for August & Grand Totals for the Month

Basically, I've been on a break from Rite-Aid this month.
Not a full break, but I haven't darkened their door much and when I went there, I didn't haul much home.
As a result I don't have many +Up Rewards left or many items to report.

And face it, the fact that I had 2 Stockpile/Garage Sales this summer where I sold the stuff I get from Rite-Aid AND I still have a big load of stuff left, I really don't NEED to be hauling things home from Rite-Aid. ;-)

First let's catch up on 2 weeks ago.
2 sales ads ago I bought this.....

1 x Nutella raincheck price=$2.50
1 x Crest complete toothpaste on sale(20% wellness discount less)=$3.43
SubTotal....$5.93

Coupons Used
1 x $1/1 Nutella AdPerk/VV Q=$1.00
1 x $1/1 Crest toothpaste ManuQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$2.00

$5.93-$2.00=$3.93 OOP
I used $3 in +Up Rewards and put the .93¢ on my gift card($30.55 balance).
I received $2 in +Up Rewards for the Crest toothpaste.
At least I was suppose to get $2 in +Ups.
My receipt says "you have received the maximum number of +Ups for this offer".
The sales ad states Limit of 1 +Ups offer for this sale item.
Well this was my one and only transaction at Rite-Aid that week, so it was my one and only tube of Crest that week.  Don't know how I could have maxed out on the offer.lol
I have had so much going on here with the kids' college stuff I didn't get around to contacting Rite-Aid about this screw up.  I may just return it as it's turning into a huge hassle, at least in my mind, and the last thing I NEED is more toothpaste, right?lol
Moving on.....

I went back this past Friday evening to check for Nutella and bought this.....

2 x Nutella raincheck price=$5.00
1 x Crest toothpaste! on sale=$2.99  *Yes MORE of the SAME toothpaste, but a smaller tube
SubTotal....$7.99

Coupons Used
1 x $1/1 AdPerks/VV Wellness Q=$1.00
2 x $1/1 Nutella AdPerks/VV Q=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Crest toothpaste ManuQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$4.00

$7.99-$4.00=$3.99 OOP
I used $3 +Up Rewards and put the .99¢ on my gift card(balance of $29.56).

I DID receive the $2 +Up Rewards for the Crest this time.  That week, the smaller Crest complete tube gave a $2 +Up and the limit was 2, but I only bought 1.

Now I KNOW you are wondering why all the toothpaste.
Well, there is a SCR #35--Buy $25 of select Crest/Oral-B/Scope items and get a $5 rebate.  I needed $5 more so the last 2 toothpaste tubes were to put me over $25.

Nutella?
That's easy.....#2 son is addicted to it.  I need to purchase stock in that company....it's THAT bad here!lol

The August SCR Period ends today, Tuesday, August 30th.  I don't plan on going to Rite-Aid today, so this is my end of the month post.

Rite-Aid So Far This Month...We Are Killing Trees

It's already the middle of August and this is my first Rite-Aid post for the month.
Yes, I have a bit of catching up to do!lol
But this won't take long, I promise.

The 1st week of August at Rite-Aid I bought 7 Mead Notebooks.  Sorry I have no photo....not that it would be very interesting anyway, right?
2 trips for a total of 7 notebooks.  They were .29¢ each the week of July 31st-August 6th.  These were purchased on the 3rd and 6th.
I used a $1 Wellness Q and ended up putting $1.09 for them on my gift card.

Moving on to last week--August 7th-13th.
I did 2 transactions on Saturday the 13th.

First I bought 2 Kotex tampon packs, on sale for $3.50 each, along with 24 more notebooks, which came to $19.  I used 1 x $1 Wellness Q, 1 x $1/1 any Kotex AdPerks/VV Q, 1 x $2/1 any Kotex ManuQ(Rite-Aid had mailed that to me), so $4 in Qs.
I paid with $15 in +Up Rewards....all the +Ups I had left.
I received $7 in +Up Rewards back(6 x $1 wyb 4 Mead notebooks, $1 wyb 2 Kotex items).

Then I cut off a few +Up Rewards I just got back and bought 8 more notebooks.
8 x .50¢=$4.00
I used 1 x $1 Wellness Q and used 3 +Ups to pay and had NO OOP to put on a gift card.
That's my favorite kind of transaction. ;-)

I received 2 more $1 +Ups for buying the 8 notebooks.
Also, between these 32 notebooks, the 7 I bought the previous week and the Mead index card notebook for son's Band Camp on July 28th, I have "spent" $20.02 on Mead items, so I qualify for the $5 SCR(wyb $20 or more in Mead products).

**Analysis--The tampons were $1.50 a box after Qs and +Ups and Daughter wanted some.

The notebooks last week were .25¢ each after +Ups.  There was a limit of 8 "deals", so you could get 32 notebooks total per Wellness account/card that week and receive the +Ups, making them a quarter per book.  The notebooks also qualify for the $5.00 SCR #3 for Mead products. With 3 kids high school or higher level, we go through TONS of notebooks, so these were a no-brainer buy for me!  Between +Ups and gift card balance and the rebate these cost me almost nothing beyond some of my +Up Rewards.

This week the Mead 70ct. notebooks are .29¢ each but they still qualify toward SCR #3($2 wyb $10 or $5 wyb $20), making them a good deal if you buy enough/need enough of them.

  THESE TRIPS
Number of Transactions.....4

Other Rebates earned...$0.00
Gift Cards earned....$0.00

+Up Rewards left to spend.....$6.00
And I have $31.48 left on my gift card.

Rite-Aid.....The Catching Up Post

I have 4 transactions to post today.....2 from last week's sales ad and 2 from this week that I did on Sunday.

The 1st transaction(sorry, no photo)I popped into Rite-Aid to buy a gallon of milk since I was fresh out and had $2 in +Ups to use up before last Saturday.
Well, silly me, the register wouldn't let me use +Ups to pay for milk here in PA.
bleh.
So I used a $1 Wellness AdPerks/VV Q and had to put the $2.73 left on my free Rite-Aid gift card.
That sure hurt using that HUGE amount of cash on my gift card!

Since I still had the +Ups to use up I let #2 son buy something.....
1 x spiral bound index cards w/20% wellness discount=$1.99
1 x cella cherry w/20% wellness discount=$.26
SubTotal....$2.25 + .02¢ tax=$2.27

I used the $2 in +Up Rewards and put the .27¢ on my gift card.

Then on Sunday I bought this.....
2 x Gillette ProGlide Razor on sale but 20% wellness discount less($9.03)=$18.06
SubTotal...$18.06

Coupons Used
1 x $1 Wellness AdPerks/VV Q=$1.00
2 x $4/1 Gillette Razor ManuQ(P&G insert)=$8.00
Coupon Total...$9.00

$18.06-$9.00=$9.06
I used $9 in +Ups to pay and put the .06¢ on my gift card.
I received $10 in +Up Rewards back(2 x $5 Gillette).

Then I bought this.....

4 x Crest Rinse on sale $5=$20.00
1 x Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush on sale=$5.99
1 x Newspaper-$1.00 *not pictured*
SubTotal....$26.99

Coupons Used
1 x $3/$15 Pharmacy SurveyQ=$3.00
4 x $2/1 Crest Rinse ManuQ(P&G insert)=$8.00
1 x $3/1 Oral-B Pulsar Toothbrush ManuQ(P&G insert)=$3.00
Coupon Total....$14.00

$26.99-$14.00=$12.99

I used $11.50 in +Ups and put the $1.49 on my Rite-Aid gift card.(I now have $32.69 left on the gift card.)
I received $5 in +Up Rewards($5 wyb $25 any dental care items)AND I submitted for $12.99 in SCRs for the 4 Crest Rinses($10)and the Oral-B Toothbrush($2.99).

*Analysis*
*  The spiral bound index card booklet was a necessity for #2 son.  He is using this for his 'dot book' for marching band camp.  It is also a Mead product and might qualify for a SCR on Mead products, but I still have to submit the receipt information to see on that.
*  On the Gillette Razors--if you can find the ones with the sample sized shaving gel, etc. in them in your store, these also are on sale and qualify for the $5 +Up Reward this week.  Also note, there is a LIMIT of 2 of this Deal per Wellness Card.
*  The Crest Rinse and Oral-B Toothbrush are a Double Dip Deal this week!  Not only are they part of the $5 +Ups Deal WYB $25 in Dental Care Items(this deal runs through August), but they have their own separate Single Check Rebates if purchased THIS WEEK ONLY.  So spend $25.99 and get $5 in +Ups AND $12.99 in Cash rebates as well.  As you can see by my transaction, by using Qs, you can bring the actual initial cash outlay down(to between $14.99 and $10.99 depending on your Qs).  I 'spent' $11.99 after Qs and sale on these 5 items and I got/will get back $17.99($5 in +Ups and $12.99 in cash).
*  I wanted to get jars of Nutella for #2 son this week.  But bright and early on Sunday, Rite-Aid here had NO jars on the shelf!  I did however get a raincheck and I'm hoping they get some in before the end of August when my $1 off AdPerks/VV Q for it expires.
*  I spent all my +Ups on Sunday and now I only have the ones I received on Sunday, amounting to $15.  I may actually use up ALL my +Ups in the next week or so. This will be the first time I'll be +Ups-less since they started this program, over 1.5 years.  It will be nice NOT to feel compelled to go to Rite-Aid for awhile seeing as I have plenty of toiletries/HBA/paper goods right now. ;-)  I think I need to take a Rite-Aid sabbatical.lol

Rite-Aid Shopping......Convert the +Ups

Well I was able to roll a bit and convert even more +Up Rewards to cash via the Single Check Rebates.
First on BIL's card....

2 x SoftSoap Body Wash on sale=$5.98
1 x Balsamic Vinegar on sale=$1.00
1 x Luster Toothpaste w/20% Wellness discount=$5.99
1 x Crest Toothpaste on sale=$2.69
2 x Sample size boxes of chocolates w/20% Wellness discount=$2.54
1 x Sheet Protectors w/Wellness discount=$1.19 *Not Pictured*
SubTotal....$19.39

Coupons Used
1 x $1 off any purchase AdPerk/VV Q=$1.00
1 x $1.50/1 Luster Toothpaste IPQ(there is also a ManuQ from the inserts out there)=$1.50
Coupon Total....$2.50

$19.39-$2.50=$16.89 +$.04 tax=$16.93

I used $16.76 in +Ups to pay and put the remaining .17¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $6 in +Ups back(2 x $1 chocolate, 2 x $2 SoftSoap).
I also qualified for SCR #6($2.69 Crest) and #84($4 Luster) so I'll receive $6.69 in cash rebates next month.

*Sheila over at Super Savvy Saver reminded me about the teeny tiny Russell Stover and Whitman's Sampler boxes are giving $1 +Up Rewards this month.  With 20% Wellness discount they only 'cost' you .27¢ and you can roll $1 per box in +Ups.  I was able to find a couple.  While 4 pieces of chocie are NOT a great deal for this price, I am putting my boxes into the Xmas stash for stocking stuffers.

*On Wednesday, when I got to the store, the SoftSoap shelves were bare.  However, there is a Men's variety of this product now and my store had it shelved separately from all the other varieties of SoftSoap Body Wash so there were still 2 bottles left for me to buy....yippee!
I would seriously advise you to GET A RAINCHECK for this item if your store is out.  $.99 for a bottle which will be your raincheck price is a great deal AND you have the possibility of Dial releasing a SoftSoap ManuQ in the future, which pared with this raincheck could make for some very frugal or even free body wash! ;-)   A Raincheck for the CREST toothpaste is also a given, since your raincheck will make it free.

Then I bought on my card.....
2 x Frosted Mini-Wheats cereal on sale=$5.00
1 x Luster Toothpaste w/20% Wellness discount=$5.99
1 x Crest Toothpaste on sale=$2.69
2 x Sample size boxes of chocolates w/20% Wellness discount=$2.54
SubTotal....$16.22

Coupons Used
1 x $3/$15 Store survey Q=$3.00
1 x BOGO Mini-Wheats Homemailer Q(Vocalpoint)=$2.50
1 x $1/1 Mini-Wheats Homemailer Q(Vocalpoint)=$1.00
1 x $1/2 assorted cereals including Mini-Wheats AdPerks/VV Q=$1.00
1 x $1.50/1 Luster Toothpaste IPQ(there is also a ManuQ from the inserts out there)=$1.50
Coupon Total....$9.00

$16.22-$9.00=$7.22

I used $7 in +Up Rewards and put the .22¢ on my gift card.
I received $2 in +Ups back for the 2 Russell Stover sample boxes.
I also qualified for SCR #6($2.69 Crest) and #84($4 Luster) so I'll receive $6.69 in cash rebates next month in my account.

 * If your store has the Fruit in the Middle variety of Mini-Wheats and you got the Vocalpoint mailer Qs, this is a great way to use them if you still haven't yet.  2 boxes of cereal are $5.  Use the BOGO Q and one of the $1/1 Qs PLUS the $1/2 Rite-Aid AdPerk/VV Q(these can be stacked with manuQs for additional savings)and now your cereal cost you .25¢ a box!

* I also lost $2 in +Ups from my stash.  They expired on Tuesday.  I forgot they were expiring then and not on Saturday....ugh.

I still have $10 in +Ups to use up by Saturday so I foresee another trip to Rite-Aid in my not too distant future.lol

Using the +Up Rewards up for the Week

I finally got out on Tuesday to Rite-Aid.
And just in the nick of time to get some Old Spice/Gillette Body Wash before it was all gone!
Here's how I rolled/converted/used my expriring +Ups this week.....

2 x Old Spice Body Wash on sale $2.99=$5.98  *
1 x Glad Trash bags on sale=$3.99
1 x Complete Contact wash on sale=$7.99
2 x Mitchum Deodorant 20% Wellness discount $3.43=$6.86
SubTotal....$24.82

1 x $1 Any Purchase AdPerks/VV Q=$1.00
1 x BOGO Old Spice Body Wash ManQ=$2.99
1 x $1/1 Old Spice item ManuQ Homemailer Booklet=$1.00
1 x $1/1 Glad trash bags IPQ=$1.00 (not sure if this is available anymore)
1 x $1/1 Peelie on Complete Box=$1.00
2 x $1/1 Mitchum Facebook Q=$2.00
1 x $5/2 Mitchum/Rite-Aid Q=$5.00(link sent in email)=$5.00
Coupon Total....$13.99

$24.82-$13.99=$10.83 + $.29tax=$11.12 OOP
I used $11 +Up Rewards($9 expiring this week and $2 expiring on the 23rd)and put the .12¢ on my gift card.
I received $5 in +Up Rewards back(2 x $2 Old Spice, $1 Glad), so I am 'down' $6 in +Ups but I qualified for SCR #24(Complete solution) for the full purchase price of  $7.99, so I am 'up' $1.99 overall.

*Now I realize that I didn't buy 2 "Fresh Collection" Old Spice items per the OS Q.  But sine they only had 1 of that variety in the store, they let me use the Q on that one Fresh Collection and one of the Swagger variety.
Remember also, that there is a LIMIT of 2 per Wellness card on the Old Spice and/or Gillette Body Wash Deal this week.  Both brands are of the same Deal so don't try to buy 2 Old Spice and then 2 Gillette with the same Wellness card.  You will only get 2 $2 +Ups.

Then I used BIL's card to buy the 2 Gillette Body Wash also on sale for $2.99 each....

SubTotal was $5.98.
I used a BOGO ManuQ, which deducted $2.99, making my total $2.99.
I paid with a $1.99 Scunci +Ups and a $1.00 Easter Candy +Ups, which made my OOP $0.00.

I love getting a receipt that shows $0.00 spent.....hehehe.....

I earned 2 x $2 +Ups on this purchase, so I am 'up' $1.01 on this transaction.

Rite-Aid....What I Bought Saturday & Sunday

I had $12 left in +Ups to spend on Saturday, so I took the advice of one of my lovely readers, Chitra, earlier last week and did the Unilever +Ups Deal--got some Axe Shower Gel(#2 son's fav)and Dove 'Poo, among other things.....
The Dove and Axe was $9.50 after Qs and I received a $5+Up Reward WYB $15 in products, so all 4 bottles cost me $4.50 total.
The pistachios were 2/$5 on sale so $2/$3 after $1/1 Qs.
The 3 greeting cards were better than free after 20% discount and the in-ad $3/3 store Q.
The candy bar was filler to get my total over $12 so I could use all my expiring +Ups.
I put the .37¢ leftover on my free gift card.
I spent $12 in +Ups and got $5 in +Ups back, so this transaction cost me $7.

Then on Sunday morning I did this....

2 x Tena pads on sale $9.99=$19.98
2 x Scunci hair bands on sale $1.99=$3.98
2 x Super Poligrip on sale $1.99=$3.98
I x local newspaper=$.99
3 x Easter candy bags(large $6.99 ones)on sale $4.99=$14.97
2 x Easter eggs w/Wellness discount 20% $.399=$7.98*not on sale so discount made them cheaper
1 x Cello Cherry filler w/Wellness discount 20%=$.26 *Not pictured*
SubTotal....$52.14

Coupons Used
2 x $2.50/1 Tena IPQ=$5.00
2 x $1.50/1 PoliGrip AdPerks/VV IPQ=$3.00
1 x $1/3 Hershey's/Reese's Easter candy bags ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $1/2 Hershey's/Reese's Centerpiece Easter candies ManuQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$10.00

$52.14-$10.00=$42.14 + .04¢ tax=$42.18
I used $42 in +Ups and put the $.18 on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $13.98 in +Up Rewards back(1 x $10 wyb $20 of Hershey/Reese's Easter candy, 2 x $1.99 Scunci hair bands).
I qualified for $23.96 in SCRebates(2 x $9.99 Tena, 2 x $1.99 PoliGrip).
Spent $42 in +Ups, got $13.98 in +Ups back and $23.96 in cash rebates, so everything in the photo 'cost' me $4.06 in the end.
Not bad.....

Then I bought 2 each of the Tena, Scunci bands and the PoliGrip again on the BIL's card.  Oh, I also had to add in a Cello Cherry too....
SubTotal was $28.20.
Coupons were $8.00.
$20.20 + .05¢ tax=$20.25 OOP. ...still can't figure out the tax thing.lol
I used $20 in +Ups to pay and put the .20¢ on the gift card.

My Rite-Aid gift card is now spent down to $49.99.

I received $3.98 in +Ups back for the Scunci bands and I'll get $23.96 back in SCRs.
$20 +Ups spent, $3.98 +Ups back and $23.96 in cash rebates, so this transaction was a MM of $7.94.
Would have been better if our region had gotten the Poligrip Q(and our PoliGrip was not the higher $2.49 reg. retail here!)but I am not complaining.lol

For Sunday's trips I 'spent' $62 in +Ups.....'rolling' $17.96 of them into more +Ups and 'converting' $44.04 balance of them into cash rebates, however my SCRs were $47.92, so I 'gained' $3.88 in cash.

End of March Shopping......$152+ Worth of Stuff for $20.38

I had some Free Item Qs expiring on the 31st, so off to Weis I went....

2 x Purina One Beyond Dog Food $7.49=$14.98
*I had 2 Free Item Qs so these were free.
2 x Food Should Be Good Chips $2.99=$5.98
*I had 2 Free Item Qs so these were free.
1 x DiGiorgno FlatBread Melt $3.29 on sale=$3.00
*I had a Free Item Q that took off $3.29 so this was better than free!
9 x Furmano's Tomato Products on sale $1=$9.00
* I used 3 x $1/3 ManuQs(expiring 3/31) on these so 9 cans cost $6.00 or .67¢ each.
The bag of potatoes was on sale for $3.99.
The lettuce was on sale for $1.50.
The salad greens were BOGO=$3.79/2.
The Kielbasa was BOGO=$4.49/2.

I spent $20.38 OOP.
Regular retail was $65.61.
My savings was 69% which is very good for a grocery store around here.  I usually only attain 50% at the most on the grocery store trips.  Rite-Aid as well as other drugstores, well, that's another story!lol

Speaking of Rite-Aid, yes you KNOW there had to be a trip there somewhere in this post, didn't you?! ;-)

2 x Fritos on sale $1.99=$3.98
2 x Robin's Eggs candy on sale $1.50=$3.00
1 x Skittles candy on sale=$.50 *I thought I needed this filler item to use my +Ups.

1 x FREE ITEM Orbit Gum Home Mailer Q=$1.29
Coupon Total.....$15.79

$22.49-$15.79=$6.70
I used $6 in +Up Rewards and put the .70¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
No +Ups were earned in this transaction.
I will submit for the $3 April SCR for the NightGuard product.
I used $6 in +Ups but will get back $3 in SCR so I burned $3 in +Ups on this trip.

I didn't count on my Wellness discount NOT coming off the Hershey's milk(dairy in PA is exempt from your discount evidently), so I had picked up the Skittles to make sure I was at least up to $6 so I could use my 2 x $3 +Ups to pay. With a disc. on the milk it would have been $1.43, giving me a total before Qs of $21.63 without the Skittles. Subtract the Qs and I am at $5.84.  I just may go return the Skittles later today since I didn't need them and I didn't use a Q on them.

I still have $12 in +Ups that expire this evening so I'll head back up to Rite-Aid to pick up some things we need/want that are at least on sale.
Next week is a big +Ups week as I have $89 more in +Up Rewards expiring.  I have plans to roll a fair amount of them if the stores are stocked.  Stay tuned for that....

It's a new SCR period at Rite-Aid so onward to the total tally.....

The 3 S's.....Sewing, Stockpile & Snow

As you can see from my To-Do List I finally got around to starting on one of my long neglected chores--my unfinished sewing projects!
It only took me a year and almost 3 months to get to it.....sheeesh!lol

Under that pile of clothes is the long neglected sewing projects "in progress" tub.

And here it us after being uncovered......

Notice all the dust on the lid....lol
And here is inside the belly of the beast....
Well at least the top layer inside the beast. ;-)
So I pulled out a project.....well 3 projects really since I have 3 pairs of pajama pants cut out for my Daughter.  I'll be working on those this week and hopefully by week's end I'll have something to show for my efforts.

Before I did another else on Sunday, I went up to Rite-Aid to roll some +Ups and get my free after Q and +Ups toothbrushes.....

1 x Resolve on sale=$1.99
5 x Reach Toothbrushes on sale $2.99=$14.95
SubTotal....$16.94

Coupons Used
1 x $1 any Purchase AdPerks/VV IPQ=$1.00
1 x .75/1 Resolve IPQ(from Resolve website)=$.75
5 x $1/1 Reach Toothbrush tearpad Q(from dentist office)=$5.00
1 x $1/1 Listerine/Reach AdPerks/VV IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total...$7.75

$16.94-$7.75=$9.19
I used $8.88 in +Ups and put the $.31 OOP on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $11 back in +Up Rewards(5 x $2 Toothbrushes, $1 Resolve)so I am "up" $2.12 on this transaction.

Then I did the same transaction again but my coupons were a little different....

Coupons Used
1 x $1 any Purchase AdPerks/VV IPQ=$1.00
1 x .75/1 Resolve IPQ(from Resolve website)=$.75
1 x .25¢/1 Resolve Peelie Q on product=$.25
3 x $1/1 Reach Toothbrush tearpad Q(from dentist office)=$3.00
1 x $2/2 Reach Toothbrush IPQ(old IPQ that was expiring soon)=$2.00
Coupon Total...$7.00

$16.94-$7.00=$9.94
I used $9.88 in +Ups and put the $.06 OOP on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $11 back in +Up Rewards(5 x $2 Toothbrushes, $1 Resolve)so I am "up" $1.12 on this transaction.

The reason I broke this into two transactions was because I had more than 1 $1 any purchase AdPerks/VV IPQs that were expiring on 3/26.  If I had done it all in one transaction the second $1 off Q might not have gotten used before Saturday.

My planning wasn't too great because I still have $2 in +Up Rewards left to use by Saturday.  I should have bought an 11th toothbrush....ugh.
And my gift card is down to $53.20.

I didn't get the Night Guard mouthpiece and roll $19.99 in +Ups.  I'll get a raincheck and hopefully they have it in stock after March 30th, when the April SCRs start.  There is a $3 SCR for the Night Guard item for April so I'll buy it on raincheck(the raincheck price will be $4.99 after $15 +Ups discount).  I'll use my $5/1 Night Guard Q and pay nothing OOP and then submit my receipt for the $3 SCR.  In the end I'll make $3 for buying it by waiting until the new SCR period. 8-)

After my Rite-Aid trip I went out into the garage to organize the stockpile.
As you can see, things have gotten out of hand in the last few months.....

Mostly it's stuff not getting put away and stock not being rotated back to front as it's used.  It's gotten so bad you can hardly walk around out there.

Plus the field mouse getting in kicked my ass into gear!lol  BTW-We "took care" of mr. mouse the next night....I won't share the details or the photos of his extermination. ;-)

I spent hours out in the garage on Sunday and ended up with a more organized mess.....

Cereal, Paper Plates, Tea, Coffee, Hot Cocoa, Oatmeal, Taco Shells, Compleats, Granola Bars, Jello and Pudding, Condensed Milk, bagged/boxed Potatoes and "Helper" mixes
Spices, Rubs, Powders, Sauces, flavored Noodle bags, Steak Sauce, Baking Soda, boxed Bread/Cake/Brownie/Muffin Mixes, Frostings, dried Fruit, Pie Fillings, canned/bagged Nuts, Coconut Milk, flavored Rice bags, dog Treats, canned Dog Food
canned Soups, canned Veggies, Olives, Green Chilies, canned Tuna, Sardines, Evaporated Milk, Chocolate Syrup, Pancake Syrup, baking Chips, Sugar products(honey, agave, brown sugar, fake sweetners)

Croutons, Trash Bags, Foil, Parmesan cheese, Ramen and other Noodles, Freezer Bags
Cereal, Crackers, BBQ Sauce, Marinades, Bread Crumbs, Flour, canned Beans, Spaghetti Sauce, Tomato Soup, canned Tomato products, Pasta, Chili, Hash, Jellies, Peanut Butter
Salad Dressings, Fruits, Condiments, Oils, Maple Syrup, Juices
Hand Soap, Dish Soap, Cleaners, Sprays, Wipes, Baby and Wet Wipes, Stain Sprays, Fem. Products
Toilet and Facial Tissue, Paper Towels, Napkins

It's not perfect but it will do for now.  You can see why I haven't done any grocery shopping for weeks now, can't you?lol
I also culled out 4 boxes of food from the stockpile.....1 for BIL, 1 for the food bank and 2 boxes to offer on the local Angel Help Community Yahoo group for Easter.

By 8pm Sunday night I was a stiff, sore mess....so I went to bed before 9.  Me?....the night owl.
And the most amazing thing was I slept until 9 this morning.  12 hours in one stretch.  It's so unlike me.

After a semi-productive weekend I woke up to this.......?!?!?......
WTF?!?

I had no clue we were due for more snow!

I'm off now to the stockpile and freezer to figure out the meal plan for this week.  I might hit the grocery store(for more than milk)this week since there is a cheese Catalina deal at the local Shursave affiliate store....spend $30 get a $10 Cat....as we are getting low on cheese.

Check me later for the Meal Plan for the week.

Yup, I Done Spent Down a Mess O' +Up Rewards

Since I had over $120 in +Ups expiring on March 15th, I spent down a big pile of them, as well as converted $64 of them into cash via SCRs.  I only rolled another $14 of +Ups in these transactions.

Here is what I bought the last few days of last week's sale at Rite-Aid.....

1 x Colgate Toothpaste on sale=$2.99
2 x NYC Make-up on clearance .74¢=$1.48
2 x Sally Hansen Nail Polish on clearance .57¢=$1.14
1 x Vivitar Video camera w/20% wellness discount=$23.99**not pictured**
2 x Cella cherries w/20% wellness discount .26¢=.52¢
SubTotal.....$30.12

Coupons Used
1 x $1/1 Colgate Toothpaste IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$1.00

$30.12-$1=$29.12+.06tax=$29.18
I used $29 +Up Rewards to pay and put the .18¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $6 in +Up Rewards($2 Colgate, 2 x $1 NYC, $2 wyb 2 Sally Hansen cosmetics over $1.99).

**I "thought" I had bought the Vivitar video camera that had a $20 SCR...at least the hook it was on had the tag for the rebate on it.
But once I got out to the car I realized I bought the wrong camera because the one with the SCR cost alot more than $23.99.lol
So I returned the one I bought(it, along with an identical one had been put on the wrong peg hook in the store)and bought the correct one.
The correct one was $26 more.
Ugh!
I forked over $26 more in +Ups and put another .06¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.

So I spent down $49 in +Ups.....well really I only spent down $29 & converted $20 of it into cash, via the $20 SCR I'll get back.

I still had something like $78 in +Ups left to use by Tuesday, so I went back on Saturday and bought.....

1 x Phillips MP3 Player on sale but less with 20% wellness discount=$63.99
2 x Reach Dental Floss on sale $1=$2.00
6 x Sally Hansen Nail Polish on clearance .57¢=$3.42
2 x NYC Make-up on clearance .74¢=$1.48
2 x Nivea Lip Balm on sale $1=$2.00
4 x Mead Notebooks w/20% wellness disc. .79¢=$3.16 **#2 son needed these**
SubTotal....$76.05

Coupons Used
2 x $2/1 Reach Floss Tearpad Q from Dentist=$4.00
1 x $1/1 NYC Cosmetic ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $2/2 Nivea Lip Facebook Q=$2.00
Coupon Total....$7.00

$76.05-$7.00=$69.05+$2.46 tax=$71.51
I used $71 +Up Rewards to pay and put the .51¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card(I have $2.10 left on this gift card).
I received $8 in +Up Rewards back(3 x $2 wyb 2 Sally Hansen, 2 x $1 NYC).
I also qualified for a $20 SCR for the MP3 Player, so I rolled $8 +Ups, spent down $43 +Ups and converted $20 +Ups into cash via SCR.

**Ok, the math says I should have this many +Ups left to spend but I counted them and I actually have $112.76 left.  So, I screwed something up really badly along the way to this point.
Did I ever tell you that I was NOT a math major in school?lol
Ok, so Sluggy is math challenged and forgot to add quite a few +Ups to her totals along the way.  According to my trusty calculator, I should have had $249 in +Ups going into these transactions.  Let's correct the info below(so it at least lines up with the reality of what I have in +Ups at this moment)and move along, shall we? ;-)

"The Time has Come," the Walrus said, "To Talk of Many Things..."

First things first.....here's a Rite-Aid shop from Saturday evening.....
I burned about $12 in +Ups on those trash bags.  The rest of it was free at sale prices and Qs.  I put .61¢ on my gift card and didn't get any +Ups.

And I finally got up to Rite-Aid Sunday late afternoon.  The plan is to roll some +Ups into cash and get some freebies too.  Here is what I got....

1 x Thermacare on sale=$3.19  *My 20% wellness disc. lower than sale price
1 x Keri Lotion on sale=$6.99
1 x Desenex powder on sale=$6.99
1 x Snickers candy bar=$.70  *20% wellness discount applied
2 x Colgate Toothpaste on sale$2.99=$5.98
2 x Sardines on sale BOGO50%=$1.93
2 x Valentine's candy 90%off=$.20
SubTotal....$25.98

Coupons Used
1 x $3.99/1 Thermacare In-Ad Q=$3.99
1 x $1/1 Keri Lotion IPQ=$1.00
2 x $1/1 Colgate Toothpaste IPQ=$2.00
Coupon Total.....$6.99

$25.98-$6.99=$18.99+$.11 tax=$19.10
I used $19 +Up Rewards and put .10¢ on my Rtte-Aid gift card.
I received back $6.88 back in +Up Rewards(2 x $2 Colgate, 2 x $1 for each can of Sardines and $.88 for the Snickers bar).
I'll submit for 2 SCRs...$6 for each the Keri Lotion and the Desenex, so $12 in cash rebates.

I got $18.88 'back' in +Ups/Cash and spent $19 in +Ups.

So did this transaction again, minus one of the Valentine's candy using BIL's card....

$25.88-$6.99=$18.89+$.14 tax=$19.03
Used $19 +Ups again and put .03¢ on the gift card.

Now, I totally don't understand why my tax was .03¢ more when I bought .10¢ less of products here.lol

Altogether I managed to 'roll' $24 in +Up Rewards into $24 in cash rebates.  I only bought what we'd use or eat too.(Hubs loves sardines....bleck!)

Here are the numbers....

I still have a boatload of +Ups that expire on March 15th.  I'm considering spending them down & rolling them into SCRs by buying a couple of electronic thingys that are giving $20 SCRs this month.  That might be the solution to carrying these things from month to month.  It's getting tiring finding ways to roll so many.  I can spent 1/3 down,  roll 1/3 into rebates and keep 1/3 for rolling into more +Ups PLUS get a couple gifty type items for giving out later.
What do y'all think?   Good idea or should I just buy a year's supply of toilet paper or something with them all?

So if you were starting from 0 +Ups, here is what I would buy this week at Rite-Aid....
First buy 4 cans of sardines for $3.86 OOP.  You'll receive $4 in +Ups back.
Then buy 2 tubes of Colgate Toothpaste....the on sale for $2.99 size.  Use 2 $1/1 ManuQs.  Add in a small filler item(90% Vday candy or something that's about .10¢).  Use your $4 in +Ups to pay.  Some stores will adjust down your +Ups, so you "could" possibly not add a filler item to your $3.98 total and they will adjust your $4 in +Ups down so no OOP.  You'll receive $4 back in +Ups for the 2 toothpastes.
Then see if any of the SCR items available this week in the SCR Directory are things you can use.  Most of them will end up costing .99 after the SCR.  You could save your $4 in +Ups for next week's sale or roll them via a SCR item into cash back.  IE-Get the Comtrex at $4.99 this week.  Spend your $4+Ups plus $.99&tax(or $0 OOP if you have a Q for it) and submit your receipt info. for the $4 SCR on the Comtrex.  By doing this, you spent $4.85+tax OOP and you will get back $4 of it via SCR, so you will be OOP .85+tax and you will have 2 cans of sardines, 2 tubes of toothpaste and a box of Comtrex.
5 items for .85¢ OOP.

When I got back out to my car at Rite-Aid Sunday late afternoon, it was coated in ICE!  I had a nice slide back home.....
The ice storm kept going and going for hours.  We lost power a few times before I decided maybe I should shut down the computer for the duration.
Yes, I am quick witted like that sometimes.
Before I went to bed the Snunder(Snunder=Snow+Thunder) and Lightning began.

I woke up to this......
Bright sunshine and about 5 inches of snow with an inch of ICE under it.
Who ordered this!!??!!

And the dogs were feeling squirrely.

The beagle with the back problems has decided that jumping up and sleeping in "Daddy's chair" is something she needs to be doing.  So little "Miss Jealousy" chihuahua decides she needs to be in the chair too so she can bark at the beagle.  Doesn't it look like the beagle is pleading with me to "get her off of my chair Mom, puhleeeez!"

I broke down on Saturday and bought a Netflix membership.  Ok, so it's free the first month.  I love movies but I don't buy them, nor do I go to the movies since I consider both of those huge wastes of my money.   And we don't have any rental places close enough that would entice me to get in a car/go rent a movie/watch movie/get back in a car/return movie before the time limit expired or I owed more money for keeping it.  Plus our library's collection of free rental dvds is miniscule and is mostly made up of Disney drek and kiddie films.  I've seen enough kiddie films to last me a lifetime thankyouverymuch!lol

I can deal with paying $9.99 a month to see all the movies/shows I want without leaving my sofa.
At least until it gets to the point where I have seen everything I want to see or I don't utilize it enough to make it cost effective or everything left to see has to be ordered on dvds they mail me and can't be seen instantly.
This 'lifestyle inflation' will be re-evaluated every month.

I still have no Meal Plan done for the week yet and no clue what I am serving for dinner tonight....it's 4:45pm by the way....
I felt it was more important to watch a film about the history and evolution of Skateboarding with my 15 yr. old instead.
Yah see?....Netflix has already become a suckhole......

So what's up in your corner of the world today?
