Rite-Aid Totals from Last Week

Last week was CRAZY at Rite-Aid!  With 4 different "Spend $50/Get $15 Bonus Cash coupon bar codes I spent a lot of time there stacking BC deals with those bar coded Qs.  I shared a couple of transactions last week.

Here are some of the best items I got last week.  Some items were things we needed..........

7th generation items were Buy 2 Get $5 BC back.  I got 8 packs(on various cards/accounts)of baby wipes which cost $ per pair and I got back $5 per pair so $ per pack after deal.  I also found 2 packages of dishwasher pods which were $5.59 each and after $5 BC back each package cost me $3.09.  Not bad for something we need/have to have.

I got 8 bottles of Hydrogen peroxide.  These were $1.03 each with my 20% Gold discount and you received $1 in Bonus Cash for buying in pairs so they came out to .53¢ per bottle.

One store had a bunch of cosmetics on the 75% clearance shelf so I picked 5 up as filler items to get one of my transactions over $50 so I could use that "Spend $50/Get $15 BC"Q.  The two Almay make-up wipes were $1.62 each and I had a $3/2 Q, the Revlon mascara was $2.24 and I had a $3/1 Q, the Revlon brow kit was $3.24 and I had a $3/1 Q and the Almay mascara was $2.24 and I had a $3/1 Q.

I also picked up 3 packs of Conair bobby pins on a Buy Two/Get One Free deal and got back $3 BC on that as well.

I did the two different drink Deals a few times, the Clairol Deal once, the Trail Mix Deal twice which double dipped with the Easter Spend $25/Get $5 Deal too.  I did the Irish Spring and the Colgate Deals, the Nature's Truth Vitamin Deal a few times and the P and G Spend $30/Get $10 Deal a couple times.  The candy bars were a deal on sale for .88¢ and had .50¢ freshness peelies on them.  The Got2Be hair chalk was 75% off($1.74) and gave back $2.50 on Ibotta each.

There was more than what I shared photos of but since the deals are over(last week)no point in expounding on the finer points of it all.

Only I hiccup happened.  the cashier scanned my $50/$15 BC coupon AFTER scanning all my other Qs used so the register didn't give me the extra $15 BC back. Ugh!  So they gave me $15 in cash which worked too. ;-)

Grand Total of  BC and gift card monies spent for last week................$330.95
Grand Total of BC/Cash/Ibotta and Coupons dotcom rebates earned...$441.25
That makes everything a $110.30 moneymaker for the week.
I am a tad worn out with R-A right now but luckily I rolled all the BC so I am good until 5/2 or so to take a break. That's a good thing since this week is rather thin on the deals.

Just to recap

Frugal Friday......the February 26th Edition

Here are a few of thing frugal things that happened around Chez Sluggy this past week............

*  I already mentioned my Rite-Aid shop--

Though not "free" a good deal this week, especially since the Sundown supplements/vitamins are double dipping as there is a Buy $30/Get $10 BC weekly deal as well as a Buy $30/Get $10 BC monthly deal.  Pair that with that $10 off $40 Q and it's a great buy!

*  While I was out on Wednesday going to R-A I stopped at Burger King for a Wednesday Whopper Deal for $1(a coupon on the app...some Wednesdays it's $2, some Wednesdays it's $1).

Of course I used my BK gift card to pay.  If I keep this up and only use it on $1 Whopper specials I've got about 36 more free whoppers left for the year. lol

*  Younger son(Ex-CB)had a birthday on the 22nd but due to his schedule we are celebrating tonight.  Usually I buy a 1/4 sheet cake or an ice cream cake as he likes those but this year I found a strawberry cake mix at Ollie's(Good Stuff Cheap)last month and used a 15% off coupon.  Strawberry anything is his favorite!  So this year I made his cake.....

It's not much to look at(the cake started crumbing when I tried to ice it)but it smells really good(if you like strawberry).  I also iced the middle with strawberry jam(which I had in the pantry already).  I probably won't "decorate" it as Ex-CB won't care either way and I'm scared to touch it and make it look worse. lolz

*  I found money!

A penny at Rite-Aid last Saturday.

And another penny at R-A on Wednesday by the Pharmacy counter.

Not a stellar week for change but it's something.

Found Money This Week.... .02¢
Found Money This Year..... .91¢

We are inching close to a whole $1 for the year. ;-)

That's about it for this week.

What frugal wins did y'all have this past week?

Rite-Aid Shopping This Last Week

I already posted about getting this stuff last week........

I did the Mix n' Match cosmetic deal on son's card and got three bags of 75% off coffee, spending $9.04 in Bonus Cash and earning $10 in new BC for buying the cosmetic items.  Better than free cosmetics and coffee.....Great deal!

I had a free day on Friday(and I had to go out to P and R anyway which puts me near 3 more Rite-Aids)so I hit more Rite-Aids to see what 75% food clearance I could find.  Most of it was still marked 50% off so I found quite a bit. Here is everything I found from all the stores....

11 x bags of coffee $1.69 each=$18.59
3 x bottles of Worcestershire sauce .69¢ each=$2.07
2 x cans of tomato paste .39¢ each=.78¢
2 x canisters of golden raisins $1.62 each=$3.24
3 x 2 lb. bags of brown rice $1.24 each=$3.72
Total of $28.40 OOP

The regular retail on all this would have been $114.19(not that I would have EVER paid those prices! lol).

(I actually bought 12 bags of coffee but I gave one to the brother in-law so I didn't count that one in my food spending.)
If you have a Rite-Aid it's worth checking out their "Wild Harvest" organic private label brands as they seem to be reducing which items they will continue to stock.

While in one store I also did the Mix n' Match cosmetics deal again on my card(it's a limit of 1 deal per card/account).........

These 3 Cover Girl items came to $16.82 after 20% off Wellness Disc. and sales tax.
I used 3 x $3/1 Cover Girl IPQs(2 x face, 1 x eye and of course they all beeped because CG Qs always beep)so $9 off make this all $7.82 paid for with Bonus Cash.
But my $10 in BC for the deal didn't appear on my receipt. Argh!  So I had to call Corporate the next morning and get that fixed.
Which meant the deal I wanted to do on Saturday on this card I didn't have those $10 in BC back until Sunday, the day after the sale.  Argh again!

But I did another deal on Saturday anyway as I still have some BC on that card and I supplemented with a free R-A gift card(earned in Dec. of 2018 during the Beauty Deals month).........

3 x Tide $5.94 ea on sale=$17.82
3 x Pantene $3.83 Wellness disc. better than sale price=$11.49
1 x Febreeze cleaner on sale=$2.99
SubTotal.........$32.30

Coupons Used
1 x $4/wys $20 snail mailed R-AQ=$4.00
1 x $2/1 Tide L2CQ=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Tide IPQ=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Tide pods IPQ=$2.00
1 x $3/3 Pantene insert Q=$3.00
Coupon Total.......$13.00

Except, there was a $1/1 Tide pods L2CQ that also came off and didn't "unattach" when I used my printed $2/1 Tide Pod Q.  Both Qs printed off the PandGSaver site beeped(well now we know why the Tide Pod one did! lol)so the cashier had to manually push them through.
This all means I got $14 in Q off my total instead of $13.

$32.30-$14.00=$18.30+.98¢ tax=$19.28 Total.
I used a combination of gift card and BC to pay and received $10 in new BC back.  Then on Sunday morning the $10 from the cosmetics fiasco showed up so I have $20 in BC on this card.

I went back to R-A on Sunday for the new ad and to do the Suave Deal and the Oral-B Deal........

1 x Suave men's body wash BOGO50%=$2.59
1 x Suave men's deodorant BOGO50%=$1.29
2 x Oral-B toothbrush twin pack=$6.00*
SubTotal....$9.88

Coupons Used
1 x $2/1 Oral-B battery or twin pack L2CQ=$2.00
2 x $2/1 Oral-B twin pack in-adQ=$4.00
Coupon Total......$6.00

$9.88-$6.00=$3.88+ .11¢ sales tax=$3.99 paid for with Bonus Cash
I earned back $2 in new BC for buying 2 Suave items.
I also earned $1.60 in cash rebates on Ibotta(2 x .50¢-for each Suave item bought, .50¢ Suave Bonus for buying 2 different items, .10¢ for buying anything at R-A).
So spent $3.99, got back $3.60 in BC/cash meaning I spent .39¢ in BC for everything above.
Nice.

* This type of twin pack toothbrushes(Indicator type)were also tagged on sale for $6 if you bought 2.  None of the other twin packs were on sale(except for your Wellness Discount)so after Qs these were free at that price point.

I am hoping that before Saturday the Suave rebates will be back in my gallery and I can do this deal again if I can find the products still on the shelves down in the R-As near my brother's house.

Have you done any Rite-Aid shopping lately?

Rite-Aid Last Saturday, Spending BC & Getting Myself Something

I figured I wouldn't get any gifties from my kids for Mother's Day,  I am so hard to buy for so they don't even try.
I guilt-ed Hubs into buying me this hanging basket of mini-petunias when we picked up the veggie plants last week.

So I went to Rite-Aid on Saturday and bought myself some perfumes.

There was a "Spend $40 Get $10 off" Q in the weekly ad that week.  I got 20% discount off the regular price as they weren't on sale BUT each bottle gave back $10 in Bonus Cash and I had $33.50 in BC on my card to burn.

2 x Vera Wang perfumes for 24.23 ea.after 20% dicount=$48.46
$10 off with Q=$38.46 +$2.34 sales tax=$40.80

I used $33.50 Bonus Cash so spent $7.30 out of my WAM to finish paying for this.
I earned back $20(2 x $10 any perfume over $21.99)in new BC.

Not a free or great deal(Who's getting those these days, am I right?lol)but I was able to roll the BC and still have a decent amount going forward.

Rite-Aid Shop Last Week & This Week

The only Rite-Aid I went into from the 5th to the 17th of this month was in West Ocean City MD.  And I didn't buy anything on that trip!(It was a bad week for deals at R-A anyway.)  Kim's Sissie was returning stuff and we just tagged along.

So I did a tiny little shop this past Friday.........

2 x Russell Stover chocies on sale=$1.00
1 x Colgate toothbrush on sale=$3.99
1 x Colgate toothpaste on sale=$3.99
SubTotal........$8.98

I used--
1 x $1/2 R/S chocies L2CQ=$1.00
2 x $2/1 Colgate item In-AdQ=$4.00
1 x $1/1 Colgate toothbrush ManQ=$1.00
1 x $1/1 Colgate toothpaste ManQ=$1.00
Coupon Total.....$7.00

$8.98-$7.00=$1.98 paid for with Bonus Cash
I earned back $2 in new BC($1 Colgate brush/$1 Colgate paste)so a .02¢ moneymaker.

Then I bought this on Saturday(because I forgot to cut out the Mitchum Qs for Friday's trip)......

2 x Mitchum deodorant 20% wellness disc.=$7.18
2 x R/S chocies on sale=$1.00
SubTotal....$8.18

Coupons Used
2 x $2/1 Mitchum In-AdQ=$4.00
2 x $2/1 Mitchum ManQ=$4.00
Coupon Total.........$8.00

$8.18-$8.00=.18¢ OOP paid for with Bonus Cash.

Now onward to the current week's sales.
Sunday I bought this on daughter's card.......

4 x Airwick air thingies on sale(2/$5)=$10.00
2 x Colgate Optic White toothpaste on sale($3.50)=$7.00
SubTotal.......$17.00

Coupons Used
2 x $2.50/2 Airwick IPQ=$5.00
2 x $3/1 Colgate In-AdQ=$6.00
1 x $1/2 Colgate toothpaste ManQ=$1.00
Coupon Total.......$12.00

$17.00-$12.00=$5.00+.30¢tax=$5.30 paid with Bonus Cash.

I earned back $8 in new BC(2 x $4 Airwick)making this is $2.70 moneymaker.

Then I bought this on my card...........

2 x Airwick air thingies on sale=$5.00
2 x Lysol wipes on sale=$5.00
SubTotal.......$10.00

Coupons Used
1 x $2.50/2 Airwick IPQ=2.50
1 x $1/2 Lysol wipes ManQ=$1.00
Coupon Total.........$3.50

$10.00-$3.50=$6.50+.39¢tax=$6.89 paid for with BC.
I earned back $8 in new BC(2 x $4 Airwick/Lysol)again making this a $1.11 moneymaker.

I would have bought 4 Airwicks again but my store only had 3 left so I punted and got the Lysol wipes instead...smaller moneymaker but that's ok.

I can go back after the truck comes in this week and use my other Airwick Q on my son's card if I feel like it.  I've got a whole $1 in BC on it so after using a $2.50/2 IPQ and that $1 BC will have to spend $1.50+ tax on my gift card to earn $4 in BC back.
But I might not feel like it.....we'll see.

Saturday & Yesterday at Rite-Aid

The supply truck came in to my R-A store on Saturday so I picked this up then..........

4 x SoftSoap refills on sale($3.99)=$15.96

I used 4 x $2/1 In-Ad RAQs and 2 x .50¢/1 SoftSoap liquid soap IPQ from their website so $9 off.

$15.96-$9.00=$6.96+.42¢ tax=$7.38 paid for with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $7 in new BC(2 x $1 weekly Softsoap, $5 wyspend $15 Softsoap monthly)so all these jugs cost me .38¢ in BC.  8-)))

I also had $3 in BC expiring on Hubs' card so I bought this.......

2 x Blue Diamond almonds on sale=$6.00
I used a $1.50/2 Blue Diamond ManuQ so it came to $4.50.
After using my $3 BC I paid $1.50 on an old R-A gift card.
I earned back $1 in new BC for buying these.
I now have a month from Saturday to spend/roll that $1 and then I'll be down to 2 accounts with BC on them still.

Wanting to roll/convert to cash some of the BC on Daughter's card I bought this yesterday........

2 x Bulldog face wash BOGO50%=$11.38
2 x Skintimate shaving gel BOGO50%=$5.23
SubTotal........$16.61

Both of these items are part of a $5 wyspend $15 BC Deal this week.

I used these Qs........
1 x $5/1 Bulldog item L2CQ=$5.00
2 x $1/1 Edge shaving item IPQ(NLA)=$2.00
Total Qs.....$7.00

$16.61-$7.00=$9.61+.58¢tax=$10.19 paid for with BC.
I earned back $5 in new BC(spend $15 assort. shaving items).

I also submitted the Bulldog items to Ibotta and earned $6 in cash rebates for buying those(2 x $3 rebate each), which meant converting $6 of my BC into cash(always a good thing).
$5 in BC and $6 in cash meant this transaction was an .81¢ moneymaker even after the sales tax.

Be on the look out for  $1 Bulldog peelieQs on products too!  None at my store but these will make your OOP totals even lower!

I'm probably done with R-A for the week.  I'v got a couple of weeks before I "need" to roll more BC.

And R-A has definitely restricted the BC Deals on e.l.f. products to those priced $2 or higher.  No more moneymaker $1 brushes for any of us.  8-(

What drugstore deals are you wanting to do this week?

My Shops at Rite-Aid This Week

I went over to R-A on Sunday and bought this.........

I did the Weekly Rimmel Deal, the Weekly Chobani Deal and the Hello Toothpaste Monthly Deal.

4 x Chobani yogurt on sale=$4.00
2 x Hello Toothpaste 20% Wellness disc.=$11.66
1 x Rimmel mascara 40% off=$3.47
1 x Rimmel foundation 40% off=$3.17
1 x Rimmel bronzer 40% off=$3.95
1 x Rimmel eye shadow 75% off(clearance)=.92¢
SubTotal.......$27.17+.16¢tax=$27.33

Coupons Used
1 x $1/4 Chobani singles ManuQ=$1.00
4 x $3/1 Rimmel any product IPQ=$12.00
Coupon Total.......$13.00

$27.33-$13.00=$14.33 paid with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $12 in new BC(2 x $1 Chobani, 2 x $5 Hello).

Now I didn't know the Rimmel eye shadow was a clearance item, I expected it to ring up $2.21 or 40% off.

If it had I would have earned another $6 in BC as I would have hit the $12 purchase mark, so it was a surprise that I didn't earn $18 in BC for this transaction.

I needed to spend .49¢ more on Rimmel so I bought this..........

2 x Hello toothpaste 20% Wellness disc.=$11.66
2 x Rimmel eye shadow 75% clearance=$1.84
Total........$13.50+.09¢ tax=$13.59

Coupons Used
2 x $3/1 Rimmel IPQ=$6.00

$13.59-$6.00=$7.59 paid with Bonus Cash.

Except......the cashier didn't ring up one of my $3 Qs so I paid $10.59 w/Bonus Cash and she did a post coupon and I got $3 back in cash.

I earned $16 in new BC(2 x $5 Hello, $6 wyspend $12 on Rimmel).

On Wednesday I went back and did this transaction.............

I did more Hello toothpaste and Tums Deal on daughter's card/account......

3 x Hello toothpaste 20% Wellness disc.(1 on raincheck, so 1 was free)=$11.66
2 x Tums sugar-free on sale=$7.98
2 x candy bars on sale=$1.54
SubTotal....$21.18

Coupons Used
1 x $4 wyspend $20 CatalinaQ=$4.00
2 x $1/1 Hello item IPA=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Tums sugar-free Load2CardQ=$2.00
1 x .75¢/1 Tums item IPQ=.75¢
2 x $2/1 Tums sugar-free receiptQ=$4.00
1 x .50¢/2 Snickers bars IPQ=.50¢
Coupon Total.......$13.25

Except I forgot that the L2CQ comes off automatically so my subtotal after that was $19.18, under the $20 threshold so I had to add 2 more candy bars to my total($1.54)bringing it to $22.72, then the $2 L2CQ coming off made the subtotal $20.72 and the rest of the Qs could come off my total.

$20.72-$11.25=$9.47
Except.....the register wouldn't take the second $2/1 Tums receiptQ(even though I bought 2 of those)and it also wouldn't take the second Hello $1/1 any item IPQ(these Qs seem to be coded in such a way only 1 Q will come off a transaction even if you buy more than 1 of that product).
I had a new cashier who wouldn't push through those 2 Qs so she did a post coupon for them.

So my total was $12.47 paid for with Bonus Cash and I got back $3 cash for the 2 Qs.
I earned $17 in new BC(3 x $5 Hello, 2 x $1 Tums).

So the totals this week....
$37.39 spent in Bonus Cash
$45 in new Bonus Cash earned
$6 in cash received "Post Coupon"

Rite-Aid Porn for This Week

Here's the R-A haul for this week.
Went to the downtown location while out with Hubs and found that store had the 4 Tums sugar-free containers I needed to finish the $10 Back Digestive Deal.

4 x Tums sugar-free on sale $3.99=$15.96
2 x 4 pack Kleenex on sale $3.99=$7.98
2 x Oxi-Clean on sale $3.99=$7.98
4 x Sally Hansen nail polish clearane priced to $2.49=$9.96
SubTotal.....$ 41.88

Coupons Used
1 x $8 off wys $40 CatalinaQ=$8.00
4 x $2/1 Tums sugar-free receiptQs=$8.00
2 x $1.50/2 Tums ManuQs=$3.00
1 x $1/4 Kleenex bundle ManuQ=$1.00
1 x .50¢/4 Kleenex bundle IPQ=.50¢
2 x $2/1 Oxi-Clean ManuQ=$4.00
2 x $1/1 Oxi-Clean R-A adQ=$2.00
Coupon Total.......$26.50

$41.88-$26.50=$15.38 + .47¢ tax=$15.85 paid for with Bonus Cash
I earned back $21.00 in new BC($10 wys $30 Tums, $1 wyb2 Kleenex, 2 x $5 wyb2 Sally Hansen)so all this was a $5.15 moneymaker.

I found bunches of Sally Hansen nail polish in a clearance bin and these also earn the $5 when you buy 2 Sally Hansen items this week.

I also bought this on a different card at that store.......

3 x lip balm clearance priced to .32¢=.96¢
1 x SH nail clearance priced to $2.24
1 x SH nail clearance priced to $1.99
SubTotal.....$5.19 + .32¢ tax=$5.51 paid for with Bonus Cash.

I earned back $5 BC for buying the 2 Sally Hansen nail polish so this transaction "spent down" the BC by .51¢.

I hit my Rite-Aid on the way home and found some E.L.F. brushes, the $1 ones that give $2 in BC when you buy 2.  With the 20% Wellness discount they cost .80¢ so a .40¢ for every 2 you buy after BC earned.
2 x $1=$2-.40¢ Wellness disc.=$1.60 and earns back $2.00 in Bonus Cash.

I got 6 brushes total, 4 on one card and 2 on another card so I am "up" $1.20 in BC on these.

Wellness Wednesday #2 for February

I am feeling under the weather(Wednesday's post went live quite late yesterday evening)but still found the strength to hit Rite-Aid on Wednesday since they seem to be doing the Wellness Wednesday one-day coupons deal every Wednesday in February.

I am just combining everything bought on various cards/accounts and transactions into one.  The trip was messy and being not quite right in the head yesterday(don't even say it Kim!)I am not going to even try to lay it all out in a methodical way.

Also bought but not pictured were 3 x 12-packs of Coke.  They were 2/$6 and I had a R-A mailed Q for $1.50 off 3 so bought those too 3 packs for $7.50 total.  I just don't feel like hauling them out of the garage for a photo.

1 x Emergen-C packets
3 x Head and Shoulders shampoo
1 x Kleenex facial tissue
1 x Irish Spring body wash
1 x R-A brand diced tomatoes
8 x Russell Stover sugar-free candy
6 x R-A brand nightlight bulbs
6 x Oreo candy bars

Some things worked as planned and others didn't.
I spent $19 in various Bonus Cash, $2.99 on my R-A gift card and $4.92 in Plenti Points(finally! I got to use PPs!!!).
I earned back $15 in new Bonus Cash.

What worked.....
* A Deal this week is R-A light bulbs-they are BOGOFree and you get back $2 in BC for purchasing one(limit of 2 Deals so 2 packs of bulbs per card/account).  The nightlight size bulk packs are reg. $3.49, buy two, pay $3.49, get back $4 in BC so a .51¢ moneymaker when you buy 2 packs.

* The Oreo candy bars are 2 for $1 this week and give back $1 in BC, so straight up free with your card/account.  If you clipped the Load2Card for $1 off wyb2 Oreo bars awhile back this was a $1 moneymaker so even sweeter!....See what I did there?  ;-)

* The Russell Stover sugar-free chocolates were a WW deal.  They are on sale this week 2 for $3.  There was a WW Q for $2 off 1 bag, so a $1 moneymaker if you purchased something else with this candy the extra $1 off applied to the other item(s)in your order.

What didn't work.......
*  The Head and Shoulders on WW there was a $2 off 1 Q and I had $2/1 Load2CardQ attached to each Wellness card.  Take the $7.49 reg. price in my store, discount the 20% Wellness Gold discount and it's $5.99 a bottle.  Take the $4 total of the 2 Qs that stacked and each bottle comes out to $1.99 per.
Except for one of my bottles on one of my cards, the L2CQ didn't come off so I paid $3.99 for it.
This bottle will be going back to the store shortly.

*  Also I had paired a $1/1 Kleneex WWQ with another L2CQ for .50¢ additional off of it.  $2.69 reg. price-20% Wellness discount=$2.15-$1.50 stacked Qs=.65¢ OOP.  Except the L2CQ didn't come off so it was $1.15.  That's more than I like to pay for facial tissue so that will be going back as well.

I'm not sure if they will refund BC, PPs or Cash but there will be $5.21 back in some form of payment.

The Irish Spring is on sale for $3.99 this week.  There is a $2/1 Q in the ad plus there are both ManuQ and IPQ available for $1/1 so this is 99¢ after sale/stacked Qs.
The Emergen-C was a WW deal.  $5.03 after 20% Wellness discount.  There was a $1.50/1 WWQ and I had a $2/1 L2CQ so $3.50 off=$1.53 a package.
The diced tomatoes was an impulse buy.  Reg. $1.29, $1.03 w/20% Wellness discount and had a .50¢ instant discount sticker so .53¢ for the can.

I had wanted to stock up on cases of H2O(Buy 8 for $20, use 4 x $1/2 IPQs, pay $16 in BC or PPs and get back $5 in new BC)but my store had 1 case of water.
* Insert "Wha Whaaaa" sound effect here.*

Ok, I am heading off to bed now.  I just got back from taking College Boy to the Urgent Care.  It's confirmed he has the flu and I ain't feeling so great myself either.
I'll be back online when I feel better.

Saturday at Rite-Aid

Hubs decided to brew more beer on Saturday and took over the kitchen for the day.  He's now doing all grain brewing(instead of the easier part grain/part liquid extract type)and it makes the entire house smell like a fermenting tank x 20.
PU!
It got so overpowering that I was nauseous and had to leave the house(you could even smell it upstairs in a closed room).
So I went to Rite-Aid to hang out for a bit.

The mail had arrived that day already and I received a snail mail of some coupons good at Rite-Aid so I took those with me to see if anything was cheap/free/moneymaker after sales/Qs/bonus cash offers.

While there I decided to also see if they had any inexpensive Jovan or Coty colognes which I hadn't looked for yet that week...........

Select GE LED lightbulbs were on sale for $7.99 and gave $5 in Bonus Cash.  The snail mail coupons included a $5 off 1 GE LED lightbulb pack.

$7.99-$5.00Q=$2.99 and $5 back in BC.

I found two bottles of men's Cologne of the Jovan/Coty variety that were at a price point that made them either free or a moneymaker after my 20% Wellness discount, plus last week these gave a $10 Bonus Cash per purchase.

Jovan Ginseng NRG cologne reg. 12.00-20% discount($2.40)=$9.60
Stetson cologne reg. 12.50-20% discount($2.50)=$10.00

On my son's card......$7.99+$9.60+$10.00=$27.59+.04¢tax=$27.63

The new cashier scanned my card BEFORE trying to put my $5Q through so $27 in Bonus Cash I had on that card/account came off automatically.  I put the .63¢ left on a Rite-Aid gift card.
The  cashier gave me $5 cash for my Q and I earned $25 in new Bonus Cash(2 x $10 colognes, $5 lightbulb).  This transaction I came out a bit ahead, $2.37(converted $5 of BCs into cash and that goes into the "Post Q/Refunds/Rebates" envelope in my desk).

I also bought this lot on my card..........

1 x Remfresh=$7.99
2 x Schick razors on sale=$11.98
SubTotal......$19.97

Coupons Used
1 x $5/1 Remfresh IPQ=$5.00
2 x $3/1 Schick razors IPQ=$6.00
Coupon Total........$11.00

$19.97-$11.00=$8.97+.08¢tax=$9.05

An $8 Bonus Cash came off and I paid the $1.05 left with a R-A gift card.  I earned back $7 in new BC(2 x $2 Schick, $3 Remfresh).

Not a moneymaker but pretty cheap for razors, right?

More Rite-Aid on Monday

Had to run an errand on the other side of the river in the Big City down the mountain so I made a quick trip into a Rite-Aid there to see if they were stocked better on the freebies of razor blades and they were.

4 x Playtex tampons on sale=$14.00
2 x Daylogic razor blades on sale=$16.00
1 x Remfresh on sale but Wellness disc. better=$7.99
2 x Prego sauce on sale=$3.00
SubTotal........$40.99

Coupons Used
4 x $2/1 Playtex tampons IPQ(coupons dotcom)=$8.00
1 x $5/1 Remfresh IPQ(HERE)=$5.00
1 x $1/2 Prego sauce IPQ(NLA)=$1.00
Coupon Total.......$14.00

$40.99-$14.00=$26.99 + .50¢=$27.49

I used $20 BC so $27.49-$20=$7.49 OOP
I paid with Plenti Points
I earned back $26 in new Bonus Cash(2 x $3 Playtex, 2 x $8 Daylogic, $3 Remfresh, $1 wyb2 Prego)

Until Rite-Aid implements being able to use partial BC for the larger amounts I need to keep track of what amounts I have available on each card and when each expires.  This is a colossal PITA for one card/account, let alone three!

If anyone is looking for cheap razors do this deal at Rite-Aid this week..............

Schick razors are on sale for $5.99 at Rite-Aid this week.
There is a $3/1 Schick razor Q on coupons dotcom currently.
Print off 2, take them to R-A and buy 2 Schick razors.
2 x $5.99=$11.98-2 x $3/1 Qs($6)=$5.98(plus tax is applicable).
Use Bonus Cash if you have it.
After you received back $4 in Bonus Cash($2 for each razor bought)you'll effective price paid will be .99 per razor(or $1.98 for two)plus any sales tax due.
Not quite free but an awfully good/low price if you need razors. 8-)

Sunday at Rite-Aid, Rolling BC and Converting PPS

First off after last week's wacky deals I had the cashier check my Wellness accounts/coupons and Bonus Cash loaded to them.
"Supposedly" your Bonus Cash should be visible online when you log into your Wellness account at the Rite-Aid site, along with your Load2Card coupons.
I checked all three accounts online at home and NO BC is showing on my card, and only 1 x $20 BC on each of the other cards.  My card should have 1 x $20 BC, daughter's card and son's card each should have 2 x $20 BC attached.  I know that most of the $20 BCs I earned the first week of January when buying diapers on all 3 cards never showed in the online Load2Card place.

So I had the cashier(since she wasn't busy)check each of my card's L2C info and yes, all $100 in BC I had earned are on each of the cards they were earned on.
*Big sigh of relief that I don't have to argue with Corporate on the phone due to missing BC.*

With everything as it should be on my cards in "Bonus Cash Land", here's what I got at Rite-Aid today.

First on the Daughter's card...........

2 x Remfresh on sale but 20% off price better=$15.98
2 x Daylogic razor blades on sale=$16.00
2 x Tic Tacs(clearanced flavor)=$1.68*
SubTotal.......$33.66

Coupons Used
2 x $5/1 Remfresh(1 ManuQ/1 IPQ)=$10.00

$33.66-$10.00=$23.66 + .28¢tax=$23.94

$20 in BC came off making it $3.94 OOP.
I paid with $3.94 in Plenti Points.
I earned back $22 in new Bonus Cash(2 x $8 razor blades, 2 x $3 Remfresh)

I used $20 BC and earned back $22 BC and spent down PPs by $3.94

*I bought the Tic Tacs because they are part of a BC deal this week-Altoids or Tic Tac are 2 for $3 and earn $1 in BC wyb2.  Evidently the clearanced Tic Tacs don't count for this deal.  Oh well, it was worth a try.  I can either keep these(still a good price)or return them.

Then I bought this lot on my son's card...........

1 x Remfresh on sale but 20% off price better=$7.99
2 x Daylogic razor blades on sale=$16.00
2 x Playtex tampons on sale=$7.00
2 x Prego sauce on sale=$3.00
SubTotal.......$33.99

Coupons Used
1 x $5/1 Remfresh IPQ=$5.00
2 x $2/1 Playtex tampons IPQ=$4.00
1 x $1/2 Prego IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total......$10.00

$33.99-$10.00=$23.99 + .40¢tax=$24.39

A $20 Bonus Cash came off so $4.39 OOP.
I paid $4.39 with Plenti Points.
I earned back $23 back in new BC(2 x $8 razor blades, $3 Remfresh, $3 Playtex, $1 Prego).

I used $20 BC and earned back $23 BC and spent down PPs by $4.39.

After coupons and BC earned, the tampons, razor blades and Remfresh are free this week(besides sales tax if that applies in your state-limit 2 deals per card).

The razor blades are straight up $8/Get $8 back in BC.

The tampons are on sale for 2/$7, there are $2/1 Qs on coupons dotcom and they give back $3 in BC when you two 2,(limit 2 deals per card so you can get up to 4 packages)so free after all is applied.

The Remfresh are on sale for $8(or $7.99 if you have Gold Wellness discount), there is a $5 Q available online and this gives back $3 in BC(limit 2 deals per card).

The Prego(using IPQs I've been holding onto for a couple of months now so no longer available to print)was .50¢ per jar after sale/Q/$1 BC wyb2.

I wanted to go up Sunday morning since the Remfresh and razor blades are usually in short supply around here.  I'll go back later in the week for more tampons and sauce probably.

Now I am off to go organize the toiletry stockpile some more and work on February's giveaway box.
Anybody have any requests for specific goodies for the next Giveaway??

What a Frickin' Disaster.....But In a Good Way!

Ok, I spent a LOT of time in Rite-Aid on Friday.  It's all good though because I  brought home lots of items and spent no money OOP(I did spend Bonus Cash, Catalinas and Plenti Points but not as many as I should have evidently).

I can't even begin to detail how the transactions went down because....it got real messy. lolz

A-an employee put the wrong signage on a shelf so 1 Tide I bought didn't qualify for sale or BC which messed up that transaction and there was a return/rebuy and then I didn't have the Load2CardQ to spend again, yadda, yadda, yadda.
B-I tried to use a 30% off email but the items I bought in that transaction that were on sale for BOGO50% didn't give me the better 30% off on them, evidently because the register/computer saw "50% off" and decided that the BOGO50% off(which is effectively 25% off all item involved)was a better deal than a straight 30% off email sale.  So there was more return/rebuy and price modifying and I believe the cashier returned two items I didn't actually buy(bought 4, he returned 6?)so how do we go about fixing that problem inside of another problem?, yadda, yadda, yadda.

In the end I did two transactions on my Daughter's card/account and FIVE transactions on my Son's card/account(two actual transactions, THREE return/rebuys to fix the problems in the actual transactions).
Ugh.
In the returns/rebuys I did end up with another $9.81 in cash.....wtf???  I seriously don't know what happened here. lolz

Let me just tell you that if you got a 30% off on Friday or Saturday email only attempt to use it once.  If you try to do two transactions and use it both times, the computer system won't take it the second time.
Though the coupon in the email you get is the same number for everyone, it only becomes valid/active with your card is swiped/read and it will only work once with your card.  Ask me how I know this? ;-)

Let me just show you the photos of what I got on Friday and then show you a list of everything I got this week at Rite-Aid total and what it all "cost" me, ok?

Friday's haul.......

Oops, I almost forgot these two.....

And the paper products........

List of items bought at Rite-Aid the Week of January 21st--among 3 accounts/cards

*  2 cases H2O
*  4 12 roll packs Scott tp
*  5  18 roll packs Scott tp
*  4 6-pack Scott paper towels
*  4 6-packs Klenex tissue
*  1 18-pack Cottonelle tp
*  3 Irish Spring body wash
*  3 Soft Soap body wash
*  2 packs U-Kotex tampons

*  1 Gain detergent
*  2 L'Oreal shampoo
*  9 Right Guard extreme deodorant
*  4 Dial liquid hand soap
*  4 Neutrogena facial cleanser

I started the week with $120 in Bonus Cash and $303.71 in Plenti Points.
I ended the week with $100 in Bonus Cash and $265.06 in Plenti Points and $37.67 in cash monies.

In total I spent down $38.65 in Plenti Points, spent down $20 in Bonus Cash, spent $25 in Catalinas earned this week(5 x $5 Cats earned on 5 paper products transactions).

I now have $20 BC on my card(new), $40 BC on son's card(2 new) and $40 BC(1 old, 1 new)on daughter's card so $100 in BC between the 3 cards/accounts, $265.06 Plenti Points left to spend between the 3 cards/accounts, $37.67 in new cash(which went into the postQ/refund envelope) and $398.37 worth of reg. retail value goods I brought home.

Plus I'll be getting another $5.99 in cash rebates($4.99 for buying 3 of the Right Guards AND $1 for buying 2 of the Dial liquid hand soaps)from SavingStar when they get around to posting it to my account there(making it $43.66 back in cash refunds/rebates total for Rite-Aid this week).

Didn't I tell you it's a glorious mess!  8-)))

The Last of Rite-Aid Deals Last Week

The Daughter set up an online thing on her Rite-Aid account finally so I got to download some Load2Card Qs onto her card last week.

I did the free toothpaste and cheap Robitussin deals again.........

1 x Crest Pro-Health toothpaste on sale $3 but clearanced to $2.44=$2.44
2 x Robitussin BOBO50%=$11.23
SubTotal........$13.67

Coupons Used

1 x $5/2 assorted flu remedies including Robitussin Load2CardQ=$5.00
1 x $1/1 Robitussin Load2CardQ(this also came off unexpectedly)-$1.00
1 x $2/1 Crest toothpaste Load2CardQ=$2.00
Coupons Total..........$8.00

$13.67-$8.00=$5.67

I used $5.67 in Plenti Points to pay and earned back $6 in Bonus Cash(BC).
Then I noticed that some of the reg. $1.15 candy bars at the register which were on sale for .69¢ each last week had .50¢ off Rite-Aid stickers on them, which meant they were .19¢ OOP after discounts.
AND.....most of the bars on sale for .69¢ each were part of a Spend $12/Get $3 BC Deal(it was marked part of a "Frozen Foods" Deal).

I found 14 candy bars with .50¢ discount stickers on them so bought them.  That was 4 short of getting the $3 BC but I was going to be in the town South of me and they had a Rite-Aid there I would be passing right by so I bopped into that store and hit the candy bar jackpot.
I ended up getting the 4 bars needed to earn the $3BC and another 17 bars to earn the $3BC again..........

35 x candy on sale .69¢=$24.15
35 x .50¢/1 disc. stickers=$17.50 off=$6.65
I paid with $6.65 in PPs and earned back $6 in BC so I spent down PPs by .65¢ for all this candy.
Between giveaway boxes and College Boy's sweet tooth(plus I may pinch a couple of those Almond Joy bars myself)this will all get used without a doubt.  ;-)

Now excuse me while I got haul in today's(Sunday's)spoils from the car.........
