He headed to New Orleans, which has a culture all to itself really. I chuckled at the remarks about the lack of attention to the condition of the roads there. That same sentiment carries over to where I reside in Louisiana as well. ;-)

I do enjoy going to New Orleans, but not The French Quarter except for Royal Street.
