Frugal Friday....the Dec. 6th Edition

Here are our frugal wins for this past week......

*  I used some Paypal monies to pay for a Kohl's pick-up order.  The Paypal monies used were earned doing a grocery survey.

*  Kohl's sent me a $5 coupon to get me into the store to spend money.  The Kohl's store here is small and never has anything I want/need.
So when we went in there to pick-up an online order I saw this dark chocolate bar for $4.99 so got it for free with that $5 in scrip. 8-)

*  I hit my $5 Weekend Warrior Bonuses on Ibotta and I used a free $20 gift card at Walmart to purchase items we needed to get to my Bonus target.

*  We also had no food waste last week.  We ate everything or put it into the freezer.

*  I joined FlavorWiki this week.  It's sort of like The Insiders where you buy and test products then give your feedback.  Then they reimburse your purchase plus some extra cash for your time and effort.   It's sort of a pain though so I might not be doing it for long.

*  Entertainment last week was free tv or playing with the dogs.

*  I found money!

We were in a Walmart in the next town over and I kept finding pennies throughout the store.

In our local Walmart the next day, I found two pennies near the change machine and then another penny outside in the parking lot.

The next day when we went to Kohl's to pick up my order and spend that $5 scrip they sent me I found a dime on the sidewalk as we left the store.

Total Found last week..... .18¢

Grand Total Found this Year.......$9.54 & 5.30 Euros  I may hit $10 found before the year is out at this point.

That's all I got.

Any frugal wins in your neck of the woods?  Let's hear all about them!

Frugal Friday....the Nov. 29th Edition

There are some Frugal wins over the past week.....

Here are our frugal wins for this past week......

*  I got my Coat in the mail last week that I ordered....

It was a great price plus it's Purple!
This will be the very last thing I buy from this company however.  They are forcing paperless billing on me or now charging me $2.99 for each statement I get.  I called and closed my account telling them I don't appreciate being charged money for the honor of buying things from them.  One less credit account and temptation to spend money, right?

I got Hubs Christmas gift via Amazon..........

His luggage was getting raggedy and his favorite color is orange and these American Tourister bags fit the bill.  I used Amazon credit so nothing out of pocket.  I gave it to him early so he can use it on our trip to SC and VA.  8-)))

*  All that shopping for the food bank got taken in..........

Lots of goodness.
This makes our second trip with stuff to the food bank in November.

*  We hit Ollie's after dropping off the food bank donation.....
The Truvia and the Power Sheets laundry box weren't Ollie's(Kroger)but everything else was stuff I bought at Ollie's.  The canned Beets were 75% off even!  I should have bought more of those....

*  I hit my $3 Midweek Moneymaker & my $3 Weekend Warrior Bonuses on Ibotta and I used a free $20 gift card at Walmart to purchase items we needed to get to my Bonus targets.

*  We also had no food waste last week.  We ate everything or put it in the freezer .

*  Entertainment last week was free tv or playing with the dogs.

*  This week was time to get my Rock Star drinks.  Bought them at Walmart, making this a $3.76 Moneymaker after my rebate.

*  I found money!

I was in Dollar General last Saturday(using my $5 off $25 coupon)and found these two pennies inside the store.

If you don't go much of anywhere you can't find money, right? lol

Total Found last week..... .02¢

Grand Total Found this Year.......$9.36 & 5.30 Euros

That's all I got.

I Finished the Blossom Ibotta Bonus

 I had 89 offers out of 115 done going into yesterday on the Ibotta month long $35 Blossom Bonus.

I figured I'd buy 7 x $5 gift cards to Walmart which would use $35 of my monthly earnings so I did that leaving me 19 offers away from getting both the $5 Weekend Bonus and the $35 Blossom monthly Bonus(Each gift card you purchase in Ibotta earns you a rebate offer).  I also had a $10 free Fetch gift card and a free $5 Shop Kicks gift card to use, so $50 in gift cards to use.  I also tried to get items that double dipped on more than one platform to get some of the items for very cheap or free after all rebates.

Here's what I bought.....

* 1 x Lipton gallon tea

* 1 x Gatorade Protein drink

* 1 x Breakstone cottage doubles

* 1 x Core Keto Protein bar

* 1 x Kraft mac and cheese

* 1 x Ragu pasta sauce

* 1 x Campho Phenique first aid cream

* 1 x Degree men's deodorant

* 1 x Carbona color grabber

* 1 x Carbona Stain Devil

* 1 x Nice N' Clean flushable wipe 3 pack

* 1 x Thomas' Swirl Bread

* 1 x Wonder Hot dog Rolls

* 2 x Johnson's Skin nourishing products

* 1 x Dove men's ultimate deodorant

* 1 x Dove women's ultimate deodorant

* 1 x Mtn Dew Major Melon drink

* 1 x Mtn Dew Spark Zero drink

* 1 x Mtn Dew Zero drink

* 1 x Suave shampoo

* 1 x Suave body wash

* 1 x Suave hand santizer

Total came to $78.95.
I used $4.75 in coupons making the total $74.20 and sales tax was $3.51for a grand total of $77.71.

I used $50 in assorted gift cards leaving me to pay $27.71 OOP.

I earned back $75.50 on Ibotta for completing 23 regular rebates(2 any item offers and the Carbona items each double attached to 2 separate rebates), the $5 Weekend Bonus, and $35 Blossom Bonus, an extra $1 Breakstone Bonus and .03¢ cash back on each of the 7 Ibotta gift cards I bought/used.

I earned $2.35 worth of points on Fetch for this transaction.

I earned $18.58 worth of points on Shop Kick for this transaction.

I earned .56¢ worth of points on Swag Bucks for this transation.

These items were free or better than free after rebates....Degree men's deo, Dove men's and women's deos, the 3 Suave items mostly because they gave me points/cash back on two or more platforms.

So just on the Ibotta earnings I had a $47.79 moneymaker.   The $21.49 total earned on Fetch/Shop Kick/Swag Bucks will get counted as I cash out for gift cards on those platforms.

Everything bought will get used/eaten/drank or will be given to the food bank or sold at my next stockpile sale.

Not bad at all.  Even with using $35 of my earnings this month I am at $192.19 in rebates from Ibotta for April.

Ibotta and Shopping on Friday at Walmart & Rite-Aid

 I still needed 16 rebates on Ibotta to earn my $10 Bonus before March 1st so I went down the mountain and hit Walmart since that's the easiest place around here to get rebates with the fewest number of dollars spent.  And it wasn't the first week of the month so it wasn't crazy busy there. ;-)

These items were a subtotal of $32.35.
I used a $1/1 IPQ for the Dave's bagels and a 75¢/1 IPQ for the Tums so total was $30.60+.33¢ tax=$35.93 Total.

I used a free $25 Fetch gift card I bought off my phone in the store to pay which left me with $5.60 OOP on this order.

I earned back 13 rebates(the Mooalas qualified for 2 separate rebates, there was a any antacid rebate that stacked with a Tums rebate and then the Scotties tissue and Core bar triggered 2 separate rebates for each which I had no clue that would happen).  I was expecting the Ritz rebate for $2.98 on the Toasted Chips but Ibotta changed the details on that offer which I have done before and now the Toasted Chips don't qualify. boo.  But that's on me for not checking the UPC in the store and being lazy.  But I'll keep those Ritz chips because I LOVE this Veggie variety!

 If I take those 2 Ritz items off my total(they come to $5.36)then my OOP on the Ibotta qualified stuff comes to .24¢.
Total earned on Ibotta was $13.95 on the rebates I received at Walmart.

(I also bought a can of soup and a 5lb. bag of rice both on clearance for $5 but those aren't part of this report but will be accounted for on my monthly food spending.)

So now I only needed 3 more rebates to hit 36 so I trotted off to a bigger Rite-Aid near there.......

I bought 6 Arm and Hammer detergent as they were Buy 1 Get 2 Free and a tad cheaper in this store than in mine($6.99 vs. $7.29).  The 3 bags of laundry packs/pods also had $1 off peelie Qs on the bags.
Sweet.  And I handed over 3 other Arm and Hammer Qs(1 Manu/2 IPQs)to apply to the jugs.  Usually you can't use a Q on an item that is free with their deals but all the Qs worked!  $7.98 plus tax for 6 containers of laundry detergent (or $1.33 a bottle/pack)is not bad IMHO.  If there was an Ibotta rebate or a BC Deal on it too it would have been awesome but I'll take it anyway.

I also did the Palmolive/Ajax dish soap Deal-there is a buy2 get $2 BC weekly deal that is double dipping with a $3 BC wyspend $10 monthly deal.  With gold discount I needed to buy a fifth bottle so I got a 10 oz. Palmolive to hit the $10 mark and earned that $7 in BC.

The Gevalia was $6.39 gold discount and gave back $3 in BC.
The other stuff-the 2 Suave deodorants(BOGO50% so $3.58 total), the Neutrogena acne soap($2.79 w/gold discount), the 2 bags of gummies(2/$3 on sale)all helped get me over $40 total so I could use that $10/$40 R-AQ.

Total with $1.14 sales tax added was $26.09 after $16 in Qs(6 x $1/1 Arm and Hammer and the $10 off $40.  I used $26.09 in Bonus Cash to pay and earned a meager $10 in BC back($7 Palmolive double dip, $3 Gevalia).
But I earned back $5.25 on 5 different rebates Ibotta for the Gevalia coffee, Neutrogena acne soap, the 2 Suave deodorants and the 2 bags of Haribo giving me 18 more rebates total and put me over the magic 36 needed so I earned the $10  Bonus.

Total cash OOP for both trips.......24¢
Total rebates earned for both trips....$29.20 w/the $10 Bonus.

Now that's what I call Winning the Rebate Game! lol

I can't help but think about Anne in the Kitchen when I found this video. hehehe

Stuff Lately

 * Our credit card information was stolen last week.  Someone(not us)spent our c/c online at a company called Course Hero.  Though I am all for bettering yourself with online courses/classes, I draw the line at using someone else's money to pay for it without asking said person.

So now we wait on new cards which is worrisome given it's a bit before Christmas and all the mailing services are bogged down so these cards may arrive sometime in February at this point.  Luckily we each have an alternate c/c.

* We got this unsolicited pamphlet in the mail recently.....

After 2020 and the Dumpster Fire it turned out to be, maybe I should read this? lol

*  I saw these packages of gummi bears at Sharp Shopper last week.......

5 lb. bags of gummies!  Oh, they were cheap alright but that's enough gummi candies to rot all your teeth! lol

*  Also while in Hershey last Thursday we had lunch at Bob's.  We no longer have a Bob's here since ours shut down in Jan.

This was 2 days before the Governor shut down all indoor dining again in PA.

Speaking of Commie Tommy, here is a meme my son's roommate sent me that made me LOL........that's our governor's head...

*  Speaking of politics and politicians, we received this in the mail on Monday, December 14th...

Well actually Ex-College Boy got this postcard from the Democrats reminding him to vote on Nov. 3rd. lolz  They sent it to his college address(where he hasn't lived for almost 3  YEARS now)and it got forwarded here where he also no longer lives.  I guess the Democrat funded action organizations target college students as they tend to be liberal minded, even if the said student isn't a registered Democrat.

*  Speaking of mail, all my packages in route are being delayed.  Daughter didn't get hers in time for her birthday which was Sunday though it was mailed early last week.  It will be a miracle if anything else shows up on time besides for Christmas.

*  I finished off the "Rein in the Cash" Ibotta Bonus at Weis buying this on Sunday........

3 boxes of Kellogg's cereals on special for $2.49 each when you buy 3.  I had 3 x .70¢/1 IPQs which doubled to $1.40 off each so paid $3.27 for all OOP.

Then I submitted to Ibotta and got $2.45 in rebates for all 3,making them .82¢ for all 3 boxes and also got the $10 Rein Bonus.

*  We received our first Xmas card of the season last week from a dear friend.........

The entire back flap of the envelope was missing!  I had to ask the sender I hope she hadn't enclosed $100 bills as someone had sliced open the envie and taken them. ;-)  Luckily she reassured me no $$ was missing.

*  As for our decorating, here is the pitiful display of Christmas cards we've gotten as of Tuesday........

5 cards.  One card is from Hubs' ex-coworker, 2 are from Anne's card exchange, one is from a grateful Giveaway winner(thanks Suzanne!)and one is from the online clothing store I have spent $$ at so it really doesn't count. lolz

*  And this is a reminder for KIM that the Corgi Iditarod is coming soon...

You'd better start training Roscoe! lolz

*  They are predicting we will get walloped with this NorEaster storm to the depth of 18+ inches.  We are dead center in it's current trajectory.  Oh Goody!  It's already snowing lightly here and it's suppose to go until Thursday afternoon.  Hubs and I went out this morning and did what we needed to do already so we are good.
If you have to go out in this stay safe!!!

What's going on in your world lately?

I Finished the Mid Week Ibotta Bonus...BOOM!

 So I still needed 9 more rebates after Monday's trip to R-A where I did 3 Ibotta rebates to hit the 12 rebates for the MidWeek Bonus.  I earned $8.50 in Ibotta rebates that trip.  See previous post for that transaction.

I also still needed a tube of specialty Crest to reach the $30 spent to earn the $10 Bonus Cash.  So I hit a different R-A Tuesday morning that carries the last type of Crest which I had a $3/1 L2CQ for.....

1 x Crest Whitening Therapy toothpaste 20% discount better than sale price=$6.39
Used that $3/1 L2CQ.

1 x Throat Calm tablets on clearance=$2.99

Total after Q for both was $6.38 paid for with Bonus Cash so no OOP.

Earned $10 in new BC and submitted the Crest and the Throat Calm both for 2 separate $3 rebates on Ibotta.  The ThroatCalm was a penny moneymaker.

Now I had 5 rebates toward that 12 rebate threshold for the Bonus and $14.50 in regular rebates on Ibotta.

I went to Walmart and bought these items....

I did 8 rebates instead of the 7 I still needed....oops! lolz
The Morning Star fake chicken nuggets were $5.27 and I earned back $5.50 for 2 different rebates so better than free.  The Bolt 24 drink was also free after rebate(that's for Ex-CB). The cereal was about .70¢ after Ibotta and ShopKicks points, the Chobanis were BOGO after Ibotta, the cocomut milk "yogurt" was .46¢, the Powerade Ultra was .70¢, the 2 diet Powerades were .47¢ ea. and the Ritz chips were $1.88 after rebate.

I spent $19.65 using a $25 Walmart gift card earned on SwagBucks.
I earned $11.59 in regular rebates and hit the Bonus threshold so another $5 earned too so $16.59 back in rebates.

Total spent OOP....$0.00

Total in Ibotta rebates earned...$31.09 at R-A and Walmart since Monday.

Not a bad way to close out the September grocery shopping. ;-)

Rite-Aid & Weis Deals With Ibotta

So a Midweek Bonus came up on my Ibotta gallery on Tuesday which said Redeem 5 Offers and Get $5 Bonus back which expires today(Thursday).

A "sort of" deal popped into my head for Rite-Aid on Tuesday which I combined with an Ibotta offer which led to me getting this stuff there.............

1 x Gillette men's razor 20% Wellness discount=$7.03
1 x Venus women's razor 20% Wellness discount=$7.99
2 x Nature's Truth Vitamin E stick BOGOFree=$1.99
SubTotal=$17.01

I used 2 L2CQs......
1 x $4/1 Gillette men's razor
1 x $4/1 Venus women's razor
Coupons Used.......$8.00

$17.01-$8.00=$9.01+ .42¢ sales tax=$9.43 paid for with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $6 BC for buying 2 Gillette/Venus razors(you can buy either or both)and I earned $2.00 back on Ibotta for buying the Nature's Truth Vit. E sticks.

$9.43 spent and $8 earned back in a combination of BC and Ibotta.
The razors were higher at my store than other stores but I didn't want to leave town to do the deal.  If I had it would have been closer to free after BC and Ibotta.

If you have the Nature's Truth $2 Ibotta rebate buy 2 and make a penny. (Pay $1.99/Get $2 back).
That offer is back in my Ibotta gallery so I'll do it again before the sale ad is over Saturday night at R-A.  Converting BC into actual cash via Ibotta is always a good thing to do. ;-)

And that Vit. E put me at 1 Offer redeemed out of 5 on Ibotta toward the Midweek Bonus.

So I bought this at Weis on Wednesday when I went looking for discount sticker meats.........

3 x Cup o Noodles Stir-Fry variety $1=$3.00
1 x Propel protein water on sale=$1.00
1 x Kodiak pancake cup on sale=$1.67
2 x Keller's Philly mustard on clearance .59¢=$1.18
2 x Oral-B toothbrushes on clearance $1.99=$3.98
1 x Kind granola bar=$1.50
SubTotal.......$12.33

I used 1 x $3/2 Oral-B/Crest items Weis digitalQ=$3.00

$12.33-$3=$9.33 +.06¢ tax=$9.39 OOP

I earned back $4.92 on the noodles, pancake cup, Propel H2O and the Kind bar($2.97 Noodle cups/.50¢ each on the pancake cup/water drink and granola bar + another .25¢ wyb any granola bar and .20¢ wyb anything offers)+ I now had 5 offers redeemed and got the Midweek $5 Bonus so a total of $9.92 earned back on my $9.39 purchase at Weis.

The Oral-B toothbrush offer had expired on Tuesday so they didn't qualify for Ibotta but on clearance and with $3/2 was still a good deal so I included them anyway.  And after Ibotta rebates on other items in the order they were still free in the end. ;-)

I also found 2 packages of panko crusted pork tenderloins($4.04 pack/$4.19 pack)with $2 instant discount stickers on them so I spent an additional $4.23 on meat this trip.  Ex-College Boy is off from work today so we'll have these as pork sammiches tonight for dinner with baked sweet potato fries.

Stacking the Deals & Rebates.....Rite-Aid & Other Places

First off, I've been working on some Ibotta rebates and October Bonus rebates...........

At Walmart last week I spent $22.18 on this stuff and earned back $10.63 in rebates.

These three boxes of cereal bought that week from Rite-Aid earned me $2.10 as well, for zero OOP.
I got a .50¢ October Level 1 bonus also, then I bought this at Weis.........

10 different items(some multiples), all with Ibotta rebates.  This lot cost me $34.70 and earned me $9.15 in rebates and a $5 Bonus for reaching another activation level so $14.15 total back.

Then I bought a few items at Walmart on Monday.........

This lot earned me back $4.89 in more Ibotta rebates, the cost OOP was $13.64.
I also earned October Level 2 bonus($1.00), the Stonyfield earned me an additional $1.00 Bonus and I lastly earned the $10.00 Monster Money Bonus rebate.

$70.52 spent on all above and $45.27 earned back in cash rebates($44.27 on Ibotta and $1 on SavingStar for the Chobanis)and lots of items we can use here(and I totally wanted to try those Dr. Pepper flavored baked beans.lol).

Now at Rite-Aid...............there are interesting overlapping deals going on, both Rite-Aid and from other sources-

#1 There is a P&G, Spend $30/Get $10 BC deal this week at R-A(limit of 2 deals per card on this one).

#2 Parts of the R-A deal above overlap with a SavingStar offer, Spend $50 on certain P&G items/Get $15 Back at SavingStar.

#3 There is a P&G Holiday Rebate(advertised in the P&G Insert last Sunday), Spend $50 AFTER COUPONS on certain P&G items/Get $15 prepaid Visa card back.

This rebate form is available online HERE or in last Sunday's P&G coupon insert.

#4 Rite-Aid has a promo going on now until later in November, Spend $50 on certain "Beauty" Items get a $10 R-A gift card(limit of 2 deals on this one). Purchase from 10/27/19 to 11/30/19 and redeem by 12/14/19.

Details on this offer are HERE.

The trick is how best to make this work to take advantage of all 4 offers for the lowest OOP.  Be sure to be aware of all the different Deal dates for your purchases to be valid for each offer.

And a tip.....wait until Thursday, Friday or Saturday this week and any BC earned  then will be valid long enough to use for Thanksgiving Thursday and/or Black Friday sale at R-A.

As for me, I bought this on Sunday.........

1 x Crest toothpaste on sale=$3.00
1 x Glide/Oral-B dental floss on sale=$3.00
SubTotal.......$6.00

Only one of these items qualified for the #2 SavingStar Rebate but I don't know which.

I used a $2/1 Crest L2CQ and a $2/1 Glide/Oral-B L2CQ making this $2 paid with Bonus Cash and I earned back $1 for each item back in BC so totally free.

Then I bought this on Monday........

6 x Pantene shampoo
2 x Olay body wash
$12 in ManQs deducted and used all my BC plus $10.48 of my free R-A gift card and I earned $10  in new BC.

At this point I have earned $10 BC on Offer #1, $39.50 toward the $50 on $15 Offer #2, $26.67 toward the $50 on $15 Offer #3, and $36.67 toward the $50 on $10 BC Offer #4.

Now to figure out how best to proceed to finish off all 4 of these deals.  ;-)
