Day Nine we headed out from Utah.
We only had about 2.5 hours of driving to do to get to our destination this day.

So we saw a place selling sheds via "rent to own" just like where we lived out East........

Fields of grain about ready to harvest.....

Choices to make which direction to go on the Interstate.......

The we came to this sign.......onto I-84 West.

Dang if I had known we'd come this close to that site I'd have planned a stop
but it was almost a 2 hour detour from where we were headed so we couldn't stop.

Rattlesnake Pass??  Um, no thanks!  We'd already stopped at a piece of the Oregon Trail traces back in Wyoming.

Then we spied a storage shed of what else?  Potatoes!

And fairly soon we crossed over into Idaho....

We passed by the historic town of Rupert Idaho.

This was a different style of irrigation equipment than we saw in Nebraska.  It's a Wheel Line System or "Siderolls.

Then we saw this exit.........

Of course also named after my ancestral cousin, Bill Sublette.  We got off for a restroom and gas break either here or soon afterwards.
We wandered around the convenience store/restaurant attached to the gas station to stretch our legs for a bit.  That had lots of "stuff" for sale there.

Bullet shaped keychain flashlights.....

Rifle shaped knives?  Aren't knives weapons enough, why shape them like rifles??

Bullet shaped knives.....

Funny metal license plates.  I loved the "When Potatoes Go Bad" one. lol

Then I tried on a bling-ed out truck hat........now THAT makes a statement but I don't know what kind! lol

Hubs sporting a Summer straw cowboy chapeau.......

Though it was "tempting" I somehow resisted these Western themed rhinestone bedazzled ladies wallets....

Now if they had had a purple wallet with 6 shooters I "might" have been tempted.*snort*

Oh look! AR-15 Rifle barbeque lighters.  Doesn't everyone need one of these??

I was tempted by these novelty socks, the ones with taco shells with a cosmic background for the Daughter.  These were her speed....or the pink poo socks as well. lolz

This place was also selling fast food.  Checkout their Hawaiian Chicken burger.......
Thanks but no thanks.  We had to get back on the highway.......

Then we passed this biplane doing tricks and crop dusting near the Interstate.......

A "Game Crossing" sign on the Interstate??

And finally we were approaching our destination for the day.....

Meeting Kim and Joel at their daughter's house in Twin Falls, Idaho.
We got there and Kim was not there.  She had made a shopping trip for something or other nearby with her daughter's mother in-law that lives with her daughter and husband.  We settled in for a bit and Kim got back soon enough.

Joel drove us to see Twin Falls.*Spoiler Alert-they aren't two falls, just one.
After driving down, down a windy road we parked and went to behold the waterfall(s).

See the rainbow in this photo?
An awesome sight!

Another rainbow....

Me back in 2017......
Hubs with his walking stick......

A closeup of the water falling over the rocks and higher elevation....

Can you make out the houses on the opposite side of the falls?  How awesome would it be to live in one of those houses?  Great view but I feel like the roar of the falls would drive me batty if I had to listen to that 24/7. ;-)

Who are these two weirdos??

A rock formations next to the river below the falls.

Here's an information board of this area of the Snake River.  Can you make out the arrow that shows where Evel Knievel made his Snake River Rocket Jump Attempt.

A shot down into the canyon where Evel Knievel landed next to the river.

Joel, Kim and Hubs playing "Sheldon Cooper", intensely studying an information board by the Snake River.

Another information board about the discovery of gold here and the immigrants who came to the area to seek their fortunes.

A map of the area we were at........

We adjourned back to Kim's daughter's house for a grilled steak dinner which was cooked courtesy of her daughter's hubby Paul.  I was stuffed.  Almost everyone else went back out for ice cream at DQ but I stayed behind.  It was nice to be sitting in the quiet with everyone gone and not having to be packing up that night and traveling the following day.

When they all returned we sat around and talked into the night before turning into sleepyheads.

Thus ended Day Nine of our Great Western Adventure.
