The "Good Meal Last Week" Edition.....
I had this broiled seafood platter. That big ball is a crab cake with no filler too.....so good!
Anybody want to hazard a guess on how much this dinner cost?
Not pictured is the tossed salad and hush puppies I also got(and yes I ate two hush puppies).
Now let's see all the food police out there comment on how bad my diet is(because obviously they know everything I put in my mouth).

We spent $90.84 last week(Weis(PMITA)Markets, Walmart, Bread Outlet and a small pick-up order at Target), bringing our food/toiletries/HBA/paper goods to $248.55 for October so far.
There are 5 shopping days left in the month. I'll probably hit Walmart again this week for all the freebies after rebates(most of those go to Ex-CB or the food bank)and might get that second $5 Bonus(the Farm one)on Ibotta and maybe some things at Aldi(Hummus, Celery, Mushrooms, etc.)and Weis for a few things(Almond Milk for hubs and coffee)but I don't plan on doing any other food shopping otherwise.

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?
Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?
Any great deals on food at your stores this week?
You are shopping. You are eating. You are posting. So, it looks like things are on the way to good, if not there. Tommy said $20. I say I don't know. Remember, neither of us eat seafood, so no seafood restaurants, and we have not seen a menu in months from anywhere.
ReplyDeleteI am guessing 28.95 for lunch. It looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteYour meals sound good except for the liver and onions. There are three food that will never voluntarily be in my mouth. Liver. Beets. Bananas.
$39.99 is my guess for the platter
ReplyDeleteThat looks like a lot of fish/seafood, so I'll say $24.99 since it was lunch. No food police here-bring on those hush puppies! I'm with Ann-no liver an donions. No way, No how.
ReplyDeleteYummy, screw the food police, eat whatever you damn well want, it's your body. I dislike fish but love shrimp/crab/scallops. Oddly, lately I am constantly craving tunafish! I've made sandwiches and tuna melts mostly lol. Easy and tasty (with onions always)
ReplyDeleteI’ll guess $30 and possibly extra for the sides. I don’t really know meat prices but my uncle is in trouble for spending $73 on 4 steaks at the grocery store.
ReplyDeleteI made a huge pot of tofu mushroom pasta last night. Zucchini tomato tortilla pizzas are on the menu for tonight. After that its sandwiches or dig through the freezer for something.
My usual anonymous option disappeared so I’ll try this Google option.

So glad to see that you are feeling better and able to get out and about.
ReplyDeleteI also love seafood and that plate looks awesome!
The only reason I liked the buffet at the casino was for the lobster and shrimp they served. My sister loves food..and she has the record of eating 6 lobster tails in one sitting...they aren't super big but big enough! lol.
I would guess your lunch set you back $24.99 and worth every bite.
The food police have no right to pass judgement, your business is your business.
Get better every day...those coins aren't gonna pick themselves up! :)
