Happy Thanksgiving!

Kermit and I just wanted to stop in quickly between cooking chores this morning and wish y'all a Happy Thanksgiving!

Before you dig into your "pants unzipping meal" today, take a moment to acknowledge everything in your world that you have been blessed with, whatever that may be.

Myself I'll be thankful for---
* my level of health given my medical issues and for the resources and medical folks who keep me going.
* my awesome kids though some are far from home today.
* my spouse who puts up with me and loves me.
* that we live below our means which means we can be a financial blessing to ourselves, our family, our friends and our country.
* this blogging platform and all you dear readers out there that has enriched my life.

Now make sure you hug everybody you see today......
Ok, maybe not that creepy guy in line at the grocery store if you have to run out for emergency supplies this morning. ;-)

Here's a nice tune I like to listen to on Thanksgiving......

And here is a funny video of Irish people trying an American Thanksgiving dinner........

So what's on the menu today at your Thanksgiving table?

  1. getting ready to put breast in oven just 4 of us

  2. Lasagna, Caesar salad, and croissants with a homemade apple pie and a store bought pumpkin pie for dessert. No company, so the three of us are set for the week! Happy Thanksgiving to you and all the family!

  3. Chicken, dressing, giblet gravy, sweet potato, carrots, green beans, apple pie. Later, I have all the leftovers plus Jello with bananas, apples, and fruit cocktail.

I do agree about how horrid sweet potatoes and marshmallows are. I baked sweet potatoes, took the skin off and heated it for the meal.

Dominique is waiting for her share.

  4. I am very thankful for knowing you.

  5. Sweet potatoes are perfect as is. Who decided marshmallows was a good idea must have had one terrific sweet tooth. Have a Happy Thanksgiving Sluggy!

    1. I second that! A sweet potato should be treated like a potato. Who ever put marshmallows on a regular potato?

  6. Great things to be thankful for; video was fun! Thank you ;).

  7. Happy Thanksgiving from Canada - good to see you have a little green helper for all your meal preparations!

  8. I cooked for just Hubby and me and made a LOT of food. We ate it for most of the weekend. LOL! I love that video!
