  2. If I won this giveaway I would throw it at my husbands head! ;-P
Yes home 24/7 with him going almost no where for 4 months. Yes garden in and going well. Krogering as little as possible and yes some items are still not available. I use Amazon-Walmart delivery to fill in items can't get. What I can't get-we do without. Thank God we live in the country and I can social distance with him! HA HA

  3. Still staying home aside from the weekly Kroger outing. Everyone had a mask today but one guy had it dangling from his ear. He was large and had an angry looking for a fight face so we moved away as quickly as possible.

  4. I am trying to keep the kids busy with lots of hiking and visiting walking trails in our county. That has been a major part of our July! Our county is under a level 1 in a 4 level diagnosis from our governor but almost everyone around us is a level 3 so staying close to home is best for us.

  5. Not ever a winner before BUT this may be my lucky drawing! Husband is in the hospital recovering from a major stroke on July 4th. He is working hard to regain his strength and mobility. Please keep my Raye in your hearts and prayers. Spending my days with him at the hospital. Fortunately they will permit one person to be with him. Once I enter the hospital I can't leave and then return in the same 24 hour period. The rules are tight but I am so blessed to be able to be with him. Others have not been able to stay with their loved ones in some places. Penny S.

  7. I would give this to my hubby. We work together and just went back to work 2 weeks ago. He can use about 95% of this giveaway and I can eat the chocolate. It is a great selection.

  8. Normally at this time of year we'd be road tripping all over the US, but this year we're sticking closer to home with some camping trips.

  9. Some pt and medical appointments, some kayaking, swimming at the lake, sewing, reading, cleaning/clearing out...jeepers, that's a long list for those last couple weeks!!

  10. The prodigal son is returning! My son has made his own life very difficult by making poor choices. After much consideration we are allowing him to return home. He will be arriving with next to nothing! He has been staying in his truck or sofa surfing with friends. Having a child (he is a grown man) in this situation is hard on a mother's heart.

We have been sheltering in place since March 10th. I go to the store every week to 10 days and both John and I have been to the Dr. Other than that we have been here! We use a CVS pharmacy in our Target. I needed to buy a set of sheets ....when I got to that department the shelves were BARE. No kidding I don't think there were 15 sets of sheets in the entire store. I ended up ordering on line. The grocery shelves around her had large empty gaps in their shelves. Fortunately fresh produce is in abundance.

The only garden we planted was 5 tomato plants that I ordered from one of those shopping channels. They have been growing in pots. Now I need to learn how to do something with the "crop" I wish we had planted Romas. I would make marinara sauce sauce.

Stay safe! This pandemic is no joke!

I won a lovely give away box a couple of years ago. You are a very generous woman.

  11. I am trying to win this for Tommy. He never winds much and is thrilled with a win. Maybe this would make him happier. He uses lots of the stuff in the box.

  13. I've never won before!

Staying home - happy to live in a state (CT) where we're taking things seriously. Also happy to have a beautiful backyard and pool.

We unfortunately stocked up on hand sanitizer that has since been recalled (Blumen) so had to buy a new kind (at Costco) that we don't love (but doesn't contain methanol!).

  15. Great giveaway. Still working from home, need to restock meat in the freezer, and plan to stock up as much as I can find this month. Our stores in NE Ohio are still pretty good. Mary G

  16. Was at the grocery store this morning...some noticable gaps in shelves...no paper towels at all, canned beans were low, canned pop was low..I did get 4 pounds of gr beef for $2 ! Lb. On clearance and 3 lbs for $2.50 a lb on clearance. So that was good.

  18. I just picked the first two ripe tomatoes. Cucumbers are really short and round but might pick one tomorrow to try. I’ll need one later this week for the never ending pasta salad.

  19. No plans for July....or anytime in the near future for that matter :(. Have my garden going and my crafts, which keep me busy. Trying to stock up as I go to the store (very rarely) - the lady at Sam's was telling me people are starting to hoard again.....oh joy.

  20. I am actually entering this time.
My zucchini is killing me with kindness and output. No one can drive by my house without the possibility of getting some zucchini.
And don't even get me started on green beans!

    ReplyDelete
  21. I think it’s time to give up on the zucchini plant. I’ve used an entire bottle of homemade bug spray but it’s covered in bugs every morning. Luckily a coworker is growing some and offered to share if she can avoid these nasty bugs.

On the bright side, 1-2 more days before I pick the first yellow tomato!

  23. Since we've been staying home so much, I've been working on lots of little projects. I finally published a short ebook about how I make side income from selling used textbooks online. I thought it would appeal to this group of frugal souls. Here's the link: https://amzn.to/3eMw2Kj

  24. Not sure what is going on but haven't been sleeping well. Got 3 hours of sleep last night which means today will be fun with all the kids. :( Waiting to see what new orders our governor will put into affect this week as Ohio is moving in the wrong direction. Those will dictate some of our plans the next few weeks I am sure.

  25. We are pretty much staying home, except for my husband who has a couple work trips scheduled. Our stores are pretty well stocked with food but there are things that have not been restocked, mostly non essentials like anything craft/art related. I plant a garden every year but had more time to concentrate on my seedlings this year so I have 32 tomato plants, even more pepper and eggplant. We will see how they produce, it is a constant war between myself, the slugs and snails, nasty things. I have not won a giveaway yet.

  29. We put in a garden this year. It's looking a little rough overall, but at least we're getting lots of fresh basil!

    ReplyDelete
  30. No garden, but trips to a local farm market gives me lots of cucumbers and tomatoes! Yummy!

  31. Most items are back in stock except some random fake meat stuff. No chicken strips in months and one single pack of Tofurkey slices several weeks ago. There’s either a shortage or meat eaters are hoarding it just in case.

  34. I found a project for the week! This may be gross to some but it’s my kind of fun. I applied one of those peeling foot masks a few days ago and the skin is finally starting to peel. I’ve been peeling large sheets off all day. Living the dream around here.

  35. Still having trouble getting yeast, olive oil, and whole wheat flour.

  38. My plans for July also include not catching the "Rona" and trying to lose the Rona 15 that I gained. Not doing so well this week as it has been a bad week emotionally.

    ReplyDelete
  39. We're mostly staying home but have been venturing out a bit to go camping.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I have a sprouting sweet potato so I think I’ll plant it in the empty spot where I pulled out the zucchini plant.

Work people were whining yesterday about having to buy a parking permit for the rare occasion they might need to go in. I didn’t say anything but what a bunch of brats! We normally pay for parking but have the privilege of working from home for now. $12 per month is really not worth throwing a fit.

  42. Odds are looking pretty good right now unless a whole bunch of people enter soon!

I picked 3 cucumbers last night and left 2 on the sad remnants of the plant. My aunt suggested self-rising flour the next time I have a bug infestation. Never heard of that but I’ll give it a try.

  46. I finally have some plans! Unfortunately it’s taking Zima to the vet for a glucose curve on Thursday. 😒 The glucose monitor doesn’t seem to be accurate so they’re going to poke her every two hours to take blood samples. We’ve been trying to avoid this since March but her blood sugar levels are still all over the place.
