Hubs and I took a drive to the farm stand/pick your own place yesterday.
We picked colorful bell type peppers(no green ones)....19.61 lbs. of them.
We also got half a dozen ears of corn and 2 large yellow squash.
Grand total of $18.50 of September's food budget. (We also hit Aldi while we were near there and spent $32.70.)
So I've got to prep all these peppers today. Some will go into Chicken Fajitas which I am making tonight for dinner. The rest will get cut into strips or chunks and put into the freezer for this Winter's eating.
I've also have a large stock pot full of skinned tomatoes to boil down and can(plus any more tomatoes I pick out of the garden today).
But first it's off to Rite-Aid(Wellness Wednesday)and Weis(PMITA)Markets to see what deals I can find so I've got no time to write anything exciting today.
Aren't you sad? ;-)
So I had another .50¢/1 Colgate toothpaste ManQ, a B2G1Free Wet n' Wild ManQ and a $1/1 Wet n' Wild IPQ so I did this on Friday.........

I earned $6 in new BC(2 x $3 wyb2 e.l.f. items)so a $1.31 moneymaker.
I also had this spit out of the Catalina machine....
A $3 off wyspend $30 Q.
Yippee! I haven't gotten one of those in quite a while.
Then I bought this on my card.......
4 x e.l.f brushes $1 price point Gold Disc. .80¢=$3.20+.20¢tax=$3.40 paid for with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $6 in new BC(2 x $3 wyb2 elf items)so this was a $2.60 moneymaker.
Unfortunately no $X/$30 Q printed for my Wellness card. *whomp whomp*
$1 Brushes I know that earn back BC--
#1802 Lash & Brow Wand
#1807 Brow Comb and Brush
#1803 Blending Brush
#1821 Concealer Brush
I was going to do that Spend $40/Get $20 BC Deal(PandG items)on my son's card but with that $3 OYNO Q that printed on Daughter's card I'll do it on that card instead(and get that extra $3 off).
The BIG NEWS is that effective July 28th Sunday all new Bonus Cash expiration dates move from 60 Days to 30 Days!!!
This is what is printing on all Rite-Aid receipts now.
Yikes.
So if you carry a BC balance on your card you've got a mere 30 Days to use it or lose it.
Now is the time to spend down my BC so I'll be doing a few more transactions this week.
This week at Rite-Aid if you have the 20% Wellness Gold discount(or even the Silver 10% discount depending on the sales tax in your state)go get you some E.L.F. makeup brushes.
E.L.F products are Get $3 in BC when you buy 3 items. Some of the brushes are regular $1.00 each and ARE included.
20% off makes them .80¢ each, 10% off makes them .90¢ each.
Buy 3 and pay $3 or less and get $3 back in new Bonus Cash for a quick small moneymaker.
You can do this Deal 2 times so 6 free brushes.
Also cheap this week, the Right Guard deodorant are 2/$7 and give back a $3 BC wyb2. There was a $4 off Q in the RetailMeNot inserts but it expired on Sunday(and we don't get those brand of inserts anymore here so boo-hoo for me. ;-)
But if you have the $3 SavingStar Right Guard Rebate in your account you'll pay $7, Get $3 BC and Get $3 cash rebate at SS, making 2 deos $1 or .50¢ each. A great price to tuck back for a stocking stuffer for that special guy in your life.
*Update*
I found a Rite-Aid in Maine with brushes too and bought these.........
With tax I paid $5.07 in BC and earned back $6 in new BC.
And that's the report on Rite-Aid this week.
Do you see any deals at R-A worth doing?
Let us know!
This post will be short as I am off to a doctor's appointment shortly.
I haven't really done much shopping this week. Between medical appointments this week and cleaning/painting a bedroom there hasn't been much time nor inclination to do so.
I did go to Rite-Aid on Wellness Wednesday yesterday but there was really nothing worth buying for me.
I did have a card with $3.59 in Bonus Cash expiring in 7 days so I got this to use up the BC.
It was on sale for $3.99 so I paid .40¢ on a gift card for it + the BC.
Now I only have BC on three of our cards and I intend to spend it all down to zero during June.
I also hit the bread store since I was nearby after going to Lowe's to order a carpet install..............
3 loaves for $4 and the bag of stuffing was .89¢. I like that all the brands of bread are now the same price there(even though one brand use to be 3/$3). Before I'd have to sometimes buy more bread than I actually wanted or not get all the types/brands I wanted.
I spent $4.89 total on groceries this week so far.
Not sure if I'll hit Weis(PMITA)Markets for the Friday Freebie. It depends on what it is.
Did any of y'all get any good grocery deals this week?
I hit up another Rite-Aid this week and bought all this........
2 x Head and Shoulders 20% Wellness Disc. lower than sale price=$11.66
1 x CG mascara clearance=$1.49
1 x CG eyebrow pencils 20% Wellness Disc.=$3.83
SubTotal....$16.98
Coupons Used
1 x $5/2 Head and Shoulders L2CQ=$5.00
2 x $3/1 CoverGirl IPQ=$6.00
2 x $1/1 R-A Peelie on the shampoos=$2.00
Coupon Total....$13.00
$16.98-$13=$3.98 +.24¢ tax=$4.22 paid for with Bonus Cash
I earned back $5 in new BC($5 Cover Girl wyb2 items)so this was a .78¢ moneymaker.
My kids like Head and Shoulders but it's so expensive. I was glad to find these two with the $1 off peelies on them, plus used a L2CQ and used them to absorb some of the overage on the Cover Girl Qs.
I've got 2 more of those $3/1 CG Qs so I'll go out in the next day or two and look for more clearance items.
I found some clearance CoverGirl(1 of the mascaras snd 2 of the Axe) I came up with this lot on Daughter's card.....
2 x Axe body wash 20% WDisc. price on 1/clearance price on 1=$8.97
2 x Suave shampoo on sale=$6.00
2 x CoverGirl mascara(1 clearance $1.57/1 20% WDisc.)=$6.60
SubTotal..........$21.57
Coupons Used
1 x $1/2 Axe In-Ad RAQ=$1.00
2 x $1/1 Suave Professionals IPQ=$2.00
1 x $2//2 Suave In-Ad RAQ=$2.00
1 x $3/1 CoverGirl L2CA=$3.00
1 x $3/1 CoverGirl IPQ=$3.00
Coupon Total....$11.00
$21.57-$11.00=$10.57 +.63¢ tax=$11.20 paid with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $11.00 in new BC($4 Axe, $2 Suave, $5 CoverGirl).
I thought both mascaras were $1.57 clearance...didn't notice that one was the curved brush type and not on clearance, otherwise this would have been free and a slight moneymaker. That darned sales tax made me go over by .20¢. If I had notice I would have bought 1 mascara and 1 eyebrow pencil and had an approx. $1 moneymaker. boohoo for me.......lolz
Then I bought this on my son's card..........
2 x CG eyebrow pencils w/20% WDisc.=$7.66
I used a $3/1 L2CQ and a $3/1 IPQ so $6 off=$1.66 + .10¢ tax=$1.76 paid with Bonus Cash.
I earned $5 in new BC(CoverGirl wyb2 items)so I good $3.24 moneymaker.
Go print out the $3/1 CoverGirl eye Q on coupons dotcom and get yourself some moneymaker(after BC earned)eyebrow pencils before they yank that Q and/or the weekly sale is over.
If you shop at Weis, here's a tip.........
go to Coupons dotcom and print out the Ragu $1/2 Qs there soon.
Weis's Fantastic Friday later this week will have Ragu for $1 per jar(when you buy 3). With 2 copies of this Q you can pick up 4 jars for $2 total or .50¢ each.
So I had to go to Rite-Aid on Friday anyway so I did the Russell Stover Easter egg Deal on my son's card.........
4 x R/S eggs=$2 paid for with Plenti Points as this card had no Bonus Cash on it right now.
I earned back $2 in Bonus Cash so basically I converted PPs to BCs here and these were free.
I was also able while in the store to let a few other customers know about the free Easter candy Deal. There was no signage on the display indicating the offer so I talked it up to anyone who wanted to listen. ;-)
Then I saw my store had tons of the large candy bars with .50¢ instant discount stickers on them.
These bars were also on sale BOGOFree last week, making every two candy bars .99¢ or .49¢/.50¢ each.
16 candy bars for $7.92 total(I paid with PPs). This should hold the candy fiends around here for awhile...or should I say my Easter basket shopping is completed? ;-)
So Sunday I hopped up to Rite-Aid to finish off the "Morning Routine Spend $20/Get $5 BC" Deal I began last week.
I bought this last week........
5 Colgate items which "cost" me $3.03(with tax)in spending(gift card or BC or PPs)and I had $19.95 tracking toward a $20 spend.
This Morning Routine Deal is a monthly deal so go through March and not just a 2 week deal like I thought.
So I bought all this in two separate transactions on Sunday..........
6 x Irish Spring body wash on sale=$23.94
2 x Schick razors on sale=$12.00
7 x Hershey bars on sale(.69¢)=$4.83
SubTotal....$40.77
Coupons Used
6 x $1/1 Irish Spring body wash(IPQ or ManuQ)=$6.00
6 x $2/1 Irish Spring body wash In-AdQ=$12.00
2 x $3/1 Schick razor(men or women's)IPQ=$6.00
7 x $1.50/1 Hershey Gold bar IPQ(Olympics promo)=$10.50
Coupon Total.....$34.50
$40.77-$34.50=$6.27+.05¢tax=$6.32
Except the cashier missed one of the Irish Spring Qs so the total paid was $7.32($1.54 was put on my R-A gift card and $5.78 was paid for in Plenti Points(as I had no BC on this card).
I received $1 cash for the missed Q.
I have earned back $14 in Bonus Cash(2 x $5 Morning Routine, 2 x $2 Schick)and $2 cash from Ibotta($1 for each razor).
The body washes Sunday "cost" $5.99 and the Colgate items "cost" $3.03 so $9.02 total and earned me $10 in new BC making all the Morning Routine Deal items a moneymaker.
The Schick razors were $6 after Qs used and the overage on the candy bars made them free plus attached to the $6 from the razors, making all razors and candy cost me .33¢
$9.02 for MR Deal items + .33¢ for razors and candy=$9.35 at the register(paid with PPs/BC/gift card).
OOP $9.35 for those 20 items bought and earned $16 back in cash/BC=$6.65 moneymaker.
And that overage covered most of the cost of all those large candy bars so I am only "down" $1.27 for everything talked about in this post.
If you have the Schick razor offer in your Ibotta account, go on Coupons dotcom to print 2 x the $3/1 Schick razor Q, throw the Schick razor offers(1 men's and 1 women's razor)into your Ibotta account and go get you some free razors!
So I went to Rite-Aid earlier this week and bought all this in three different transactions...........
3 x Colgate toothpaste on sale($3.99)=$11.97
2 x Colgate mouth rinse on sale($3.99)=$7.98
4 x Russel Stover chocolate eggs on sale(.50¢)=$2.00
SubTotal........$21.95
Coupons used........
5 x $2/1 In-Ad Colgate item Q=$10.00
1 x $2/1 Colgate toothpaste manuQ=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Colgate mouth rinse manuQ=$2.00
2 x $1/1 Colgate toothpaste IPQ=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Colgate mouth rinse IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total.....$17.00
But an unexpected L2CQ also came off so $18 in Qs
$21.95-$18.00=$3.95+.08¢ tax=$4.03
I used $2.05 in Plenti Points and $1.98 off my R-A gift card because of breaking this into 3 transactions(otherwise I could have just used $4.03 in PPs).
In the third transaction 2 of my RA in-ad $2/1 Qs and a $1/1 IPQ for the toothpaste wouldn't come off so the cashier did a "post coupon" and gave me back $5 cash. This $5 made up for the $5 in Bonus Cash that came off in that transaction that wouldn't have if the Qs had gone through.
I earned back $2 in BC for the R/S eggs and I also earned $19.95 toward a "Spend $20/Get $5 BC Morning Routine Deal"for the Colgate items. Rite-Aid purposely made the prices of items for this deal $3.99 instead of $4.00 so you'd have to buy one extra item to break the $20 threshold.....a truly sucky thing to do!
Also part of this Deal are Softscrub and Irish Spring B/W and soaps but those are cheaper starting Sunday with sale prices of $3.99(of course!),Qs coming out in Sunday's inserts stacked with In-AdQs in the sales flyer for those items.
This Deal runs 2 weeks evidently.
So I'll wait and buy a body wash next week to finish off this deal and get my $5BC.
In the end I'll have "spent" $5.02 on all the Colgate/SoftScrub items and will get back $5 in BC so it's a wash or if you want to be picky all 6 items I will have bought will have "cost" me .02¢.....but I can live with that. 8-)
Then on Wednesday, because I am crazy that way, I went to Rite-Aid while the snow took a break from falling for about 1.5 hours here, to see what Wellness Wednesday items I could scoop up. ;-)
This was all on Daughter's card and I had a 25% emailed discount to use(if an item was cheaper that way rather than the sale price).
2 x Garnier Whole Blends shampoo on sale=$7.00
2 x Dr. Scholl's insoles clearanced($3.74)=$7.48
4 x Russel Stover chocolate eggs on sale=$2.00
3 x Clear Eyes w/25% disc.($10.34)=$31.02
1 x Centrum vitamins on sale=$9.99
2 x Dove chocolate covered cherries on sale=$7.00
2 x Biscoff biscotti cookies w/25% disc.($2.46)=$4.92
3 x B4Y dried fruit w/25% disc.($2.99)=$8.97
SubTotal.........$78.38 + .18¢ tax=$78.56
Coupons Used
1 x $4/1 Garnier shampoo ManuQ=$4.00
2 x $3/1 Dr. Scholl's ManuQ=$6.00
2 x $5/1 Clear Eyes ManuQ=$10.00
1 x $3/1 Clear Eyes IPQ=$3.00
1 x $3/1 Centrum IPQ=$3.00
1 x $4/1 Centrum WWQ=$4.00
2 x $2/1 Dove chocolate/fruit WWQ=$4.00
2 x $2/1 Biscoff WWQ=$4.00
3 x $1/1 B4Y dried fruit WWQ=$3.00
Coupon Total.....$41.00
$78.56-$41.00=$37.56
$37 in Bonus Cash should have come off (I had $43 in BC on this card)and I should have been left with .56¢ to put on my RA gift card.
But.........there always seems to be a but now, doesn't there? ;-)
But I was also buying 2 bottles of Ocuvite vitamins as I had ManuQs and WWQs to stack with those(they would have cost me $3.87 after 25% disc. and stacked Qs)but the WWQs beeped and I discovered that those were for a larger size bottle than I took. The store was out of that larger size bottle so after ringing those vitamins in the cashier took them off the transaction but..........we discovered after the transaction was completed that only one bottle came off, so I "bought" a bottle in my transaction so the numbers were this instead........
$92.43-$41Q=$51.43
All $43 in BC on that card came off, leaving me with $8.43 which came off my Plenti Points.
After I got in the car and went over the receipt and went back in and had the cashier eyeball the receipt, the bottle that didn't come off was discovered, so then I got $8.43 back on my Plenti Points and I was handed $5.44 in cash. Basically I got $5 in cash in lieu of $5 of my BC that had come off(and .44¢ to boot in cash as BC is only in increments of whole dollars).
I also earned $19 in new BC on this transaction($3 wyb $8 dried fruit, 2 x $7 wyb $15 eye items-Clear Eyes, 2 x $1 wyb2 R/S eggs).
In addition I will earn back $7 in cash rebates on SavingStar($4 for the Garnier shampoos, $3 for the Centrum).
The price breakdown per item--
The Garnier 'poos were a $1 moneymaker after sale/Qs/cash rebate.
The Dr. Scholl's were .74¢ each after clearance price/Qs.
The Russell Stover eggs were free after sale/BC earned. College Boy needed a stockpile of eye drops so that is why the Clear Eyes items were bought. After disc./Qs/BC earned, the eye drops cost $1.34 each.
The Centrum vitamins were a .01¢ moneymaker after sale/stacked Qs/cash rebate.
The Dove chocolate covered fruit was $1.50 a bag after WWQs.
The Biscoff cookies were .46¢ a package after WWQs.
The B4Y dried fruit was .99¢ a bag after disc./WWQs/BC earned.
I may go back for free R/S eggs on my son's card this week(Easter baskets need filling), but otherwise I am finished at Rite-Aid for this sales ad. If I had more Garnier Qs I could finish that "Spend $30/Get $10 in BC" Deal and with the sale price/Qs/BC earned/SavingStar cash rebate it would cost me $1.50 OOP for 9 bottles(.17¢ per bottle).
But really I don't need 7 more bottles of shampoo(beyond the two I bought this week).
I hit Rite-Aid this Week.
I still had a $5 off $20 of Rite-Aid branded products eCoupon on my son's Wellness card so I bought....
8 x Big Win case of water(on sale-Rite Aid product)=$20 *not pictured*
Since this item was also a Blizzard Points qualifying item I now had $20 toward $30 spent to qualify for $10 in Plenti points back so I also bought.....

1 x Garnier Styling product on sale=$3.50
Subtotal......$30.50

I used one of my $15 R-A free Visa Debit Cards + $4.77 worth of Plenti points on that card to pay.
I received $10 in new Plenti points back.
Nothing spent OOP.
I also received a $2 cash rebate in SavingStar for buying the Garnier styler so this comes out to $2.77 spent "down" in Plenti points in the end.
Onward to my Weis(PMITA)Markets trip from Wednesday.
Here are the best deals I found........

At this point I am "out" $4.83 points.
But I will sell the Huggies come Springs on the local FB page for either $5 or $6 which will cover any points spent down plus a bit, so this transaction becomes a moneymaker. 8-)

1 x Huggies diapers on sale=$8.99
8 x Wet n' Wild make up BOGO50%=$5.92

I had a new manager and she processed the transaction prematurely before I handed her my stack of coupons.
sigh.
This means I spend down $9.21 in points(which is bad)but the silver lining was that a $3 Load2Card for the diapers came off(since she didn't scan my $3/1 Huggies IPQ)so I got an extra $3 off this transaction in the end. ;-) I didn't notice this until I got home and examined my receipt.
We had to do a "post coupon" and I received back cash for all my coupons I used.

I couldn't use Plenti Points to pay since the total was under $2 so I used my Rite-Aid gift card so still nothing out of pocket.
I was suppose to earn $1 in new Plenti Points for buying the Crest toothpaste......
But it said I earned $2.50 in points.
Huh?
For some reason I earned $1.50 in PPs for buying one of the Colgate toothbrushes too.
A quick check on my Plenti account when I got home and I had activated a $1.50 in PPs household offer on there when I buy a Colgate toothbrush that I had forgotten about.
Nice.
Look out for Ultime Schwarzkopf hair products 75% off at your Rite-Aid.
If you find some, go print the Schwarzkopf coupon on RedPlum dotcom(two prints available per computer)or if you were lucky enough to get this Q in your Sunday inserts use that.
You will have to buy 3 bottles at 75% off or have something else that cost at least $1.02 in your transaction to absorb the overage of the $5 off Q(if your store let's you have overage or doesn't adjust coupons down). Buying 3 and using the $5/2 Q means you'll owe .95¢ + tax (if your state charges for hair items).
There are also 2 rebates on Schwarzkopf on Saving Star-1 for $2/1 and 1 for $5/2. Since I activated those rebates and bought 5 I got $7 in cash rebates back for buying these.
8-)))
Since I had to go back for an Rx on Tuesday I printed some more Qs and got some more freebies.....well almost freebies since I owed .25¢ on this lot(which I put on my R-A gift card)......

I earned $0 Plenti Points in this transaction.
The "overage" on the Schwarzkopf Qs($2.04) and the Colgate Qs($1) gave me $3.04 to apply toward the dental Flossers($3.29)so I have .25¢ owed on this transaction and got 3 packages of that on sale for .25¢. 8-)
Grand Total-

This should have been my total but a $1.50 Load2Card came off as well so this made my OOP $25.05, Plenti points were used to pay so nothing OOP.
I think the L2CQ was for the Crest mouthwash. That would explain why none of the crest Qs I handed over came off and had to be put in manually.
All items except for the shopping bag were part of the "Rake in the Savings" Promo so I qualified for the $20.00 back in Plenti points on this purchase + the light bulb pack gave back $7.99 in Plenti points as well so I spent down $25.05 in PPs and earned back $27.99 in PPs making this a $2.94 moneymaker.
Then I went back and did another transaction on my other card, buying mostly different items(except for the light bulbs and the shopping bag)that still qualified for the "Rake in the Savings" Promo........

I used $29.14 in Plenti Points and earned $27.99 new Plenti Points so not exactly free as I "lost" $1.15 due mostly to the tax.
But a pretty good day for someone who's very out of practice at playing the Drugstore Game.
*UPDATE*
I forgot about two Saving Star Offers I had--$1 back on Centrum Vitamins/Vitamints and $1 back on an Advil Purchase, so I got $2 off the OOP for these trips.
Now Transaction #1 is a $3.94 moneymaker and Transaction #2 cost me .15¢ in Plenti Points.
I have missed going so much and there were a couple of items I could pick up this week for better than free, so why not?
Did this transaction on my son's card.........
4 x Mentos mints 2/$3 on sale=$6.00
1 x Colgate toothpaste on sale=$3.50
SubTotal.....$9.50

2 x BOGO Mento mints IPQ=$3.00
1 x $1/1 Colgate optic white paste IPQ=$1.00*this one is no longer available online*
Total....$4.00
$9.50-$4.00=$5.50
I used $5.50 in Plenti points to pay and earned back $7 in new Plenti points($2 x 2 Mentos, $3 Colgate).
I got paid $1.50 to take this stuff home.
I'll print off another few coupons(2 more bogo Mentos and a $1/2 Colgate)and, using my Wellness card, get better than free mints and while the toothpaste won't be better than free with this other coupon available, it will be at least free. We'll hit some Rite-Aid along the way to Virginia this weekend to use them. I hope they have the Wintergreen variety of Mentos at one of those stores.
I can give the toothpaste to my brother and his wife since we are staying with them.
First off I activated a partner offer on Plenti dotcom for $1 in PPs wyb2 General Mills cereals and 2 other household offers as well-one for $3.99 in PPs wyb2 Tresemme Beauty-full items and one for $1 in PPs wyb1 Tresemme(any product). Both of the Tresemme offers expire today so this will only work if you buy them today.
I also activated rebate offers in my Saving Star account for $3 off Olia Hair color(no longer available to activate so if you didn't awhile back you can't do this one) and 2 x .75¢ on 2 GM cereals-Golden Grahams and Cocoa Puffs(Yes, College Boy will be coming home in about 2 weeks and I am getting ready.).
Everything I bought qualifies for the Spring Points Promotion for this week.....Spend $50 and get an automatic $20 back in Plenti Points.

I used PPs to pay so Zero cash OOP.
I earned $20 in new PPs so $9.21 using "down" the Plenti Points.
But....
I will also earn $5.99 in activated PPs in the next couple of days when they get credited to my account($1 GM cereals, $3.99 Tresemme Beauty-full $1 any Tresemme), making this a $3.22 points spend down.
Then I will get $4.50 in Saving Star cash rebates($3 for the Olia, $1.50 for the 2 cereals) and I will end up with a $1.28 Moneymaker.
I wanted to figure out a way to use that $3 off $15 Hair care products Q that printed on my receipt last week.
Plus I still had a Tresemme $3/2 Q from last Sunday's inserts and I got a $5/1 Nexxus Rite-Aid Q in the mail on Friday.........
I activated a partner offer for $10 in points wyb 2 Sundown products on my Plenti card and I printed off a $2/1 Sundown vitamin Q before we left to run errands and then I got this stuff.........

I paid with $11.98 in Plenti Points.
I earned $4 in new Plenti Points(the Tresemme and Nexxus qualified for the $4 on $12 weekly Deal), $3.99 in activated Plenti Points(buy 2 Beauty-full Tresemme items)and $10.00 in partner activated Offers Points(Buy 2 Sundown items) for a total of $17.99 back in points.
$11.98-$17.99=$6.01 "moneymaker".
If you got the coupon inserts on Sunday in the paper and activate additional Plenti Offers online on your card(s) it's a good week to get free toiletries at Rite-Aid!
That is why I am methodically laying out what I bought on Wednesday.....there is still plenty of time and stock to do these deals.
First off my store was totally out of weekly flyers so we couldn't use the $3 off Colgate toothpaste coupon in said flyer. I guess enough people complained about it so my store is price modifying that toothpaste from the sale price of $3.50 to .50¢, so you can still combine the toothpaste on sale with a manufacturer's coupon from the inserts to get it for free(or in my case since the Q was $1 off 2 tubes, get 2 tubes free). 8-)
I did this transaction on my son's card first but before I did it I bought a charity balloon for the Children's Miracle Network for $1 since you got 4 nice coupons attached to your balloon to use..........
1 x Suave Gold 'Poo on sale=$2.99
2 x Tresemme 'Poo on sale=$10.00

1 x $1/2 Colgate toothpaste ManuQ=$1.00
Coupon Total........$17.50
$36.95-$17.50=$19.45 + $1.15 tax=$20.60
I paid with $20.60 in Plenti Points and earned $11.00 in new Plenti Points making my transaction $9.60(spending down $9.60 in points).
Points earned were $4 for Suave/Tresseme purchases, $3 for the Dove/Axe men's products, $3 wyb2 Dove women's 'Poo, and $1 wyb2 Cheerios.
BUT......I also activated additional offers on this Plenti card before heading to the store--
$1 Suave gold 'poo purchase
$1 Tresemme purchase
$3 Dove 'poo wyb2 purchase
$1 Axe shower gel purchase
$2 Dove men's 'poo purchase
$1 Dove men's body wash purchase
That's an additional $9 in Plenti points back on my card making this $9.60 purchase a .60¢ purchase.
$20.60-$11 in PPs-$9 in additional PPs=.60¢ + the $1 for the additional Tresemme CMN balloon Q makes this transaction cost $1.60.
I actually screwed this transaction up! I meant to buy 1 'poo and 1 conditioner in the Tresemme as there was a Plenti Points offer online for $3.99 back in PPs which double dipped with the other buy 1 any Tresemme/get $1 back in PPs offer online.
So this transaction should have been a $3.39 moneymaker instead of costing me a whole .60¢ in points. ugh.
**I could go back and return and rebuy the correct Tresemme items I suppose since that would turn both transactions into a $2.78 total moneymaker.
I also had a $3/$15 hair care coupons that I meant to/could have used on this transaction I could do a "post coupon" thing and get $3 cash after the fact......ugh. ugh.
So yes, for $5.78 moneymaker I will do that. ;-)
Then I did this on my card...........after activating additional Plenti offers for this card.............
1 x Axe spray deo on sale=$5.49
1 x Degree men's spray deo on sale=$5.49
1 x Dove men's spray deo on sale=$5.49
1 x Axe men's 'Poo on sale=$3.99

1 x $2/1 Dove deo ManuQ=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Dove soap 6-pack ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $2/1 Dove spray deo ManuQ=$2.00
Coupon Total..........$43.00
$44.70-$14.00=$30.70 + $1.91 tax=$32.61
I paid with $32.61 in Plenti Points and earned $22.00 in new Plenti Points making my transaction $10.61(spending down $10.61 in points).
The 4 men's products on the left in the photo earned me 2 x $3 on a monthly Dove/Degree/Axe men's Deal.
The 4 women's products on the right in the photo earned me 2 x $4 on a monthly Dove Beauty Care Deal.
The same 4 women's products also earned me 2 x $4 this week's Unilever Hair and Skin Care Deal.
The women's Dove products I bought double dipped for both a monthly and a weekly offer earning me $16 in points on just those 4 items.
Add the other $6 for the men's items and you get $22 in Plenti Points.
BUT.......I also will get additional Plenti Points back for the additional offers I activated on this card online--
.50¢ Axe spray purchase
$1.50 Degree spray purchase
$2.00 Dove men's spray purchase
$1.00 Axe 'poo purchase
$1.00 Dove body wash purchase
$1.50 Dove deo purchase
$1.00 Dove soap purchase
$1.50 Dove spray deo purchase
$10 more in Plenti Points earned so now my $10.61 purchase is a .61¢ purchase. It would have been a moneymaker if not for having to pay the tax.
$32.61-$22 new PPs-$10 additional PPs=.61¢
So after I go back and correct that error in my 1st transaction here's where things stand--
$116.71 in reg. retail products brought home
$2.78 "moneymaker" meaning I spent less point than I earned
$3 cash post coupons refund, deduct $1 CMN balloon cost and I am also $2 cash monies richer.
Purex detergent is $1.99 a small jug at Rite-Aid this week.
Pair that with $1/2 Qs from the Sunday inserts and a Spend $15/Get $4 Back cash rebate with Saving Star and it makes for some really inexpensive suds.
And then I paired the 2 jugs I bought earlier this week with 2 moneymaker March Pain Deals to get all this for free.
2 x Purex on sale=$3.98
1 x Joint Flex 20% discount=$16.79
1 x Similisan 20% discount=$8.79

1 x $1/1 Similisan Product IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total.....$5.00
$29.56-$5=$24.56 + .18¢tax=$24.74 OOP
I paid with $24.74 in Plenti Points and earned $26.00($17 Joint Flex, $9 Similisan)back in new Plenti Points making this a $1.26 moneymaker.
And I have $3.98 tracking for the Saving Star rebate.
I'll go back and get 6 more jugs this week(or rain checks if they are out)and finish off this Rebate.
After sale/Qs/rebate 8 jugs of detergent will end up costing me $9.62 in Plenti Points. No cash spend OOP.
Nice.
* I went to pick up College Boy on Saturday. After riding in the car for 2.5 hours I was forced to use his dorm suite's bathroom. With two 20 year old males sharing it, I knew it wouldn't be pretty.
It wasn't quite as dirty as last Spring when I picked him up for break. Here's the bathroom waste basket as it appeared in March 2015...........
This time the bathmat I sent with him in the Fall was a disaster. You couldn't see the blue color for the black mold covering it.
Ewwwwww! "Well", I thought, as I sat using the toilet and contemplating the rug, "At least we won't have to haul that home when he moves out.". ;-)
* Since we have a sizeable chunk of retirement money we are all the time getting "invitations" in the mail to a free lunch, mostly to Ruth Chris' Steak House locally. The caveat being we had to sit through a sales presentation by some financial peddler while we choke down that free steak as they want to talk us into letting them get their hands on our assets because they know they can best manage them for us.....after they take their cut of fees and commissions for investing it wisely for us.
But we got something a little different in the mail recently....
"You are invited to the most Important Retirement Summit of 2016" it says.......
Really?!
Should I feel honored for this invite?
No.
It's just a supposedly free lunch and talk by that IRA guy who pops up on PBS now and again, hawking his books and dvds as a "reward" for a rather large donation to your local PBS channel.
But no, this supposed free lunch is NOT free! A $50 "donation" is required at the time of registration to attend once you read the invite.
"There is no additional cost or obligation and nothing will be sold." it reads as well.
Nothing may be sold at this lunch but it is being sponsored by an area financial instruments seller so you KNOW they are trying to drum up business and SELL you something!
The Ed Slott talk will be the same old stick you can see on PBS and you'll be paying $50 to charity for that and a sad business lunch....plus the sponsoring business gets to feel good and reap the benefits of giving your $50(and all the other attendees $50)to charity.
How nice of them.....geez, they must be good financial advisors, right? ha
Be wary of anybody giving you a free lunch in order to get their hands on your retirement monies.
Are they giving you free financial advise only or are they actually trying to sell you financial instruments?
Here's a better way......pay for financial advise from licensed certified financial planners and NOT financial products sellers.
* And we just sunk to a new low in the "Folks who want to get ahold of our money and 'help' us" Category.
We just received our first phone solicitation by a financial investments seller. A subsidiary of NY Life wants to reach out to us and "help" us with our retirement assets. Great! Now I get to dodge phone calls from these bastards too and not just through the mail.
Lovely.
* And in other news we took College Boy out for his Birthday meal to the local Hibachi Restaurant.
And yes that little kid at the other end of the table has a mohawk. Don't be surprised, his dad had a tongue stud, piercings other places, massive tattoos and ear gauges.
And we sing Happy Birthday to him, though the only one you can hear on this is me! lol
This is the place that squirts sake into your mouth from a bottle.
You may remember my post the first time we went to this place back in 2011.
I blogged about it HERE.
Luckily for all involved our chef didn't pull a rubber chicken out of his hat so things didn't get very ugly that night.
I did take sake shots from a squirt bottle however.
Noah can't have the sake yet so he got the Lemonade baby bottles squirt. Next year though he turns 21...he can't wait!
We sat at the grill with a family of 5(3 kids). The mother has aspirations of being a My Little Pony I think. I didn't get a picture but her hair looked just like this........
Honest to goodness I didn't know this was a "thing" until I googled it. lolz
She had to be in her late 30's this woman and was wearing cut-off jean shorts(more nothing than shorts)with her ass cheek hanging out and the cellulite of her legs on display for all to see.
Classy lady.
* I had Hubs stop in at Walmart while he was out last weekend to buy this.......
A box of a tea I like. There was a $1 off Q on the Good Earth website. Tea cost $2.48 at Wal-mart-$1=$1.48 OOP.
There is/was also an Ibotta Rebate for $1.25 off of 1 box of any flavor of GE tea. I grabbed Hubs smartphone and sent for that rebate so my box of tea in the end will cost .23¢.
Sweet......and Spicy. lol
* The dumpster guy came and hauled off the construction waste on Wednesday. He put what looked like a shower cap/hair net over the dumpster before picking it up onto the truck and driving away.
Hubs did add in a few larger items to the dumpster that had been sitting in our basement for years before they took it off. Might as well fill the thing up since we paid for it anyway, right?
You will also notice in that shot that the "Behemoth" RV is NOT parked in the neighbors driveway! They drove it off almost 2 weeks ago but if they are staying in it, it must be at a campground nearby because their cars keep coming and going at odd intervals to and from their house. School is not out on break and the teenage daughter is staying at the house sometimes and going to school in the mornings I guess.
These people have always been odd but I am just glad that their RV is NOT here for however long that lasts!
* The local high school has adult education courses each spring and we got a brochure recently.
You can pay $21 and go learn how to color.
WTF? I just don't get this whole adult coloring book thing!
I didn't like to color in coloring books as a kid....I found them too restrictive and boring.....why on earth would I pay someone to let me color now?
They also had this course.........
Now THAT'S the course I should sign up for......just to be the smartass in the room who challenges what this instructor/amateur says. lolz
And why on earth does this "instructor" have to say he's a CPA?!? It has nothing to do with the subject matter he is teaching. It just lets people know that he is boring and this class will be a snoozefest....... ;-)
* I took a ride down to the town South of us as the Weis(PMITA)Markets there now carries beer.
Chocolate Truffle Stout? I might have to try that one......
I wonder if my Eldest Son has tried this? He likes spicy hot stuff.......
Ah, this one called to my inner Viking........but not at $14.99 a 6-pack.
And then I saw this car parked next to me in the lot.............
Each side of the car was covered in insulting phrases appropriate to people who drive badly and talk/text on phones while driving.
Ah, a person after my own heart.
This might just have given me an idea or two........lolz
So what stuff and nonsense has been going on lately in your world?
