This may be slightly off subject, but you mentioned taxes. Every individual who has a license for resale (craft shows, mom and pop businesses) is forced by the govt to be a tax collector and paid for doing so. Yes, I was shocked when I learned this years ago. If I wanted to work for the govt, I would have applied for a job as tax collector. Nope, anyone with a retail establishment of their own collects taxes and is rewarded for doing so.

ReplyDeletePractical P--I don't follow you....business are paid to act as tax collecting entities for the gov't? I had a tax license for a small business I had and I was never rewarded for collecting sales tax....please explain.
AMarie--I might be wrong, but I think anybody who is due a refund is more inclined to file early.lol Glad you got that chore done early! Now we can live our lives again until next Jan. bleh
