Frugal Friday....the May 17th Edition

There are a few Frugal wins over the past week.

*  Had my first "real" PT session(which costs me no copay).  She worked me over good. lol  I hope this helps my shoulders but after last night's sleep, I am not optimistic. 8-(

*  Went to Aldi last Friday and bought some sauces, hummus, frozen veggies, carrots, spaetzle for Hubs(way over priced I might add), a bag of General Tso Chicken, pickles for me and found a large pack of BSCB for 50% off.
Then we hit the tiny Kroger near there and bought this.......

The cereals are bound for the food bank(and not counted in my food budget).  The sauces and mustard are part of the Mega Sale(buy 5 to get the discounted price)and the Veggie Craft Pasta were a deal(on sale $3.29 with $1.50 each in KCB and $1.50 back from Ibotta so .29¢ each in the end).  I had a FREE Kroger buns coupon and tried to use that but got charged $1.99 for them.

So after PT on Tuesday we were near the old and dirty Kroger so I took them back and got $1.99+tax back for them.
Then I bought 3 discounted individual salads, a carton of milk(that had an Ibotta rebate),  some marked down thin steak for steak sandwiches and these sauces(4 from the clearance bins).......
Here are the backs of them...........
The Kinder Teriyaki were on Mega Sale for $1.99 each, the other Kinder Sauce(the burger sauce)was marked down to $1.49 and also part of the Mega Sale so another $1 came off making it .49¢ and the 3 Bachan Japanese BBQ sauces were marked down to $3.82 and another $1 came off each, making them $2.82 each.  These 3 sauces also had Ibotta rebates of $1.50 each so in the end those cost $1.32 each.  Not bad when you know those cost $8.99 reg. retail at Kroger(and $7.99 at Walmart)!

I also picked up another round of RockStar drinks.......

I had a Kroger digital Q for Buy a Rock Star and get a Rock Star Focus free plus these were on sale for $2 each, so both cost me $2.00 OOP.  I submitted to Aisle for a $5 rebate making this a $3 moneymaker.  Plus these are going to the food bank as I don't drink energy drinks.

If you want to get in on this Aisle Rock Star deal which runs all year(you can do it every other week)please use my link......
discover.gotoaisle.com/referral/kq98hepHXk

That way I get to do this deal twice every other week and then you can refer someone else to do the deal after you do it.  If you shop at Walmart Rock Stars cost $1.88 each and at Dollar Tree they are $1.25(they are smaller cans though)each so either way they are moneymakers and if Kroger is running a special they are moneymakers there too.  Please and thank you. 8-)

So while in Kroger I tried unclipping that FREE BUNS offer and then reclipping it to see if that would kick it in the butt and make it work but nope.  That coupon is a dude it seems.(I have the same issue with Kroger's Cesar dog food Qs-they never come off.)

*  I hit up Walmart for this on Wednesday after my car got fixed, as I was already near there.....

I had a $10 Ibotta rebate and a $10 Shopmium digital coupon so it was a $2.02 moneymaker.  I also found some marked down bags of produce, a pack of bacon and a pack of sausages as well as a marked down individual salad.

*  I noticed that none of my KCB offers I did have been applied to my account(since the beginning of April!)so I called to get clarification on a few things.
It's difficult to keep track of KCB since as soon as you use/apply an offer and purchase the item, the offer disappears from your available account and it doesn't show anywhere as pending.  Going forward I'll track what offers I use and when so I can contact CS if they don't show up after 1 week.
The person I spoke to put a courtesy $10 on my Kroger card the first time I called about this issue  but I'll be darned if I won't be calling back on Friday(which will be a week since purchase)to get the $6 in KCB for those crackers bought last Friday. ;-)  I now have a spreadsheet for KCB offers, when I purchase those items and what date and how much I am owed back.
Beginning of the week I called about the $6 in crackers and they put $15 store credit on my account, then I called again on Thursday after $5 for an item purchased 9 days previous I was owed.  I asked that they please fix this or I'd be called every time an offer didn't work and I really didn't want to be having to do this so this CS person took more info and is escalating the issue upstairs(and didn't offer me store credit, which is fine, I just want this KCB to work properly and to get what I am owed!)  I hope I get a callback since tomorrow I will have to call yet again inquiring about $4 in KCB that was never applied to my account. lol

*  We have been using food here and eating all the leftovers.  No eating out so far this week.

*  Had my "medical safari" to the Dermatologist in MS on Monday.   I already showed the tiny bag of lotions she gave me for free.......

*  I found money!

I found a penny when we stopped at a Love's for gas and I went in to get a soda.  Found that penny on the floor at the register.

I found this penny at the Kroger the next day walking by a register and it was laying on the floor.

I went to Walmart on Wednesday for a freebie and to finish my Midweek Bonus(a whole dollar)and saw something peeking out from under a drink cooler next to my self-checkout.  So I used a paperclip to edge it out and voila! I got a nickel!

Total Found last week.... .07¢

Grand Total Found this Year.......$4.48 & 5.30 Euros

That's all I got.

Frugal Friday....the May 10th Edition

There are a few Frugal wins over the past week.

*  I did a shop at Kroger and bought this last Friday.....

The $9.99 Kellogg's cereals in back were on clearance for $2.49.  I had $2 Ibotta rebates so they cost .49¢ each.  The Keebler mini crackers were $2.49 or $2.29 after coupons and I am suppose to get back $6 total($2 per box)from KCB, making them .29¢ or .49¢(depending on variety).
I had a Best Customer Q making the Peanut Butter free and I had a Manufacturer Rebate making the Pop Chips free as well.
The Aleve was a clearance find for $6.37, which had a $3 Kroger digital Q and a $3 Ibotta rebate so .37¢ in the end.  The Bob Evans Veggies were $4.99 on sale with Q and I had $2 Ibotta rebates for each, so $2.99 OOP.
The yogurt remix things(Dannon)were$1.50 each and I had a .50¢ off one and a $2 off 4 digital Q so $3.50 for all. I had a Shopmium .50¢ Q for one and a TaDa .50¢ for another one too so $2.50 for all. I believe I had a KCB offer as well but it hasn't been applied to my account. 8-(  KCB has been a hassle for me.

Then I stopped in a different Kroger on Tuesday before the sale ended and bought this........

The 3 boxes of toothpaste were a total of .97¢ after digital Q($5/3)and 3 x $2 Ibotta rebates(headed for the food bank).  The Aleve was more clearance, $3.37 after digital Q and I had a $3 Ibotta rebate so .37¢ after all that.
The Move Free was also a clearance find at $9.80, had a $5 Ibotta rebate and a $5 KCB so it will end up being a .20¢ moneymaker....if the KCB ever works.

*  I hit up Walmart for this.....

3 x Tylenol Extra Strength travel size tubes for $1.88 each.  I got $2 back on Ibotta for each so a .36¢ moneymaker.

*  CVS rewarded me for going in last week by giving me $3 in ECBs expiring Sunday.
So I went there and bought this......

Two boxes of GM cereal on sale for $1.99 each.  I paid $.98 OOP and submitted to Ibotta and got $1.00, making this free cereal.  The Cocoa Puffs will go to the food bank and the Cheerios are staying here.

The person I spoke to put a courtesy $10 on my Kroger card  but I'll be darned if I won't be calling back on Friday(which will be a week since purchase)to get the $6 in KCB for those crackers bought last Friday. ;-)

*  We have been using food here and eating leftovers.  No eating out so far this week.

*  I went to PT on Wednesday for my shoulders.  Because of my Medigap Supplement, PT there won't cost me any copays.  Therapist gave me some exercises to do at home and I am doing them. 8-)

*  I found money!

Last Friday I went to Kroger and used a self-checkout register.
This was in the coin return.....

a Quarter!

Then on Sunday I went to Walmart to pick up Rxs and found this......

A penny while walking on the entrance aisle past the registers in the store.

Then also on Sunday while in CVS to use my free $3 in ECBs they gave me I found these.........

They have one self-checkout register right by the door and next to where they keep the shopping carts.  As I took a shopping cart, I looked down and saw three pennies on the carpeting next to the register.  People really don't like pennies around here I guess.  I was glad to bring them home. ;-)

Frugal Friday.....the January 5th Edition on Saturday

There are a few Frugal wins these past couple of weeks so here goes....

*  We were able to use some old gift cards for restaurants along the way on the trip.
We had Applebee's in PA and IHop in GA, paying with gift cards.  We also mooched meals off our Hosts in PA, MD and VA.  There was restaurant spending in PA and MD without the benefit of gift cards. ouch

*  I had a $50 gift card still for Ocean State Job Lot(but they don't have stores anywhere down here).  So before we left Wilkes-Barre on Dec. 26th we hit there to use it up, mostly buying discounted Xmas stuff we no longer had(bags, boxes, bows, tissue paper and ribbon)plus some doggies treats and toys for our puppies and a few food items(sesame oil, dark chocolate, coffee filters and a monstrously larger vat of pink Himalayan sea salt.

This 5lb. containers was only $5.99!
It should last us the rest of our lives. lol

*  Grocery shopping the past 2 weeks for December--best deals........while I wasn't home to do regular shopping we bought some foodstuffs on the trip at places we don't have here.

We hit up Aldi in VA while staying at my brother's house.  Got some chili, pumpkin(long dated), crushed tomatoes, dark chocolate bars and a bag of peanut butter cups(my guilty pleasure).  The first 3 items were on clearance too.

We went to a Trader Joes also near my brother's place that same day.  I got a package of Rigatoni(hard to find here, almost as hard as shell pasta is to find), a dark chocolate bar and some dark chocolate peanut butter cups.  So many things at both of these stores we'd have loved to bring home but they required refrigeration. 8-(

And to finish off the shopping spree that day we hit Rose's discount store for these on clearance........
You are either in the Fruitcake Friend or Fruitcake Foe camp, there is no middle ground.  This is by far the BEST fruitcake there is....as Dr. Spo is given to saying, "Do not dare question this!" 8-)
$2.25 for a 1 lb. brick of this delicacy?  Heck yeah!  Claxton's has been around forever so they must be doing the fruitcake game right.  The best fruitcake is 90% fruit and nuts with only enough cake batter to hold the thing together.

*  In the "found category", at the rest stop somewhere in VA, as I walked around to get some exercise, I wandered over to the vending machine cubicle and noticed one of the drink machines was flashing "$1.00 credit" on it's screen.  I needed some water so I put the rest of the coinage needed to purchase a bottle of water into the machine and voila!, out popped a bottle of Aquafina(a very over priced brand IMHO).
So I got a discounted much needed at the time bottle of water courtesy of some kind Secret Santa who put $1 into that machine and left.

*  I found money!
These two blurry pennies were in the vending machine coin return at the Vicksburg MS Welcome Center/Rest Stop.

This quarter in a change return of a vending machine in a VA Rest Stop.

This dime in the Chinese Restaurant we had a tradition of having Christmas Eve dinner in when we lived in PA. We enjoyed the company of our nephew there.

This quarter on NYE on a trip to Aldi's at my brother's house in VA.  Some guy returned his cart but didn't hook it up and take his quarter so I "helped him". hehehe

This Penny on my Brother's Porch the day after New Year's.

This penny somewhere in NC at yet another Rest Stop.(We saw a LOT of rest areas on this trip due to my butt and knee issues.)

And this penny on the ground at the vending machines in a Rest Stop somewhere in AL.

Total Found in last 2 Weeks.... .65¢
Grand Total Found this Year.......$4.21

That's all I got.

Frugal Friday.....the November 24th Edition

There are very few(if any)Frugal wins this past week so here goes....

*  I went to PT 2x this past week because of the holiday they were closed 2 days.  Good thing I've hit all my deductibles and co-pays so I'm not shelling out cash for this service.

*  Grocery shopping this past week--there was quite a lot with the Thanksgiving deals.
I earned $80.87 back just on Ibotta between 3 trips and Bonuses and spent Zero OOP as I put those shopping trips on that surgery travel stipend card as we had quite a bit left on it. The only cash spent was at Ollie's(where we had a 15% discount offer)$9.76.  That was mostly for snacking nuts and dog treats.
Best Deals at Kroger/Walmart--A Raid Bug Light Trap(better than free after rebate/digital Q), 5 bags of Keebler cookies for Hubs(.49 ea. after rebate), 2 Hagen-Daas Yogurts(.67¢ ea. after rebate), 4 boxes of Rice(.48¢ ea. after rebate and an any rice rebate), Nature's Own dinner rolls(.50¢ after rebate and Kroger Cash Back offer).  I also maxed out the Sweet Potato Deal(.29¢ per lb. up to 5 lbs.)as we love Sweet Potatoes and the dogs do too. 8-)
Unlocked my Free Turkey Offer on Ibotta too last week so picked that up at Walmart.  No matter the price you got $14.35 back.  My turkey was a .30¢ moneymaker. lol

*  Had to go to the ER on Sunday afternoon as my coccyx had become unbearable to sit down upon.  This problem has been brewing for 3 months now as I've lost weight(got no padding on my butt now. lol)but it had become unbearable this past week.  X-rays showed my tailbone wasn't broken, just bruised and the attending MD thought activity on the exercycle at PT had exacerbated the condition so I am to lay off the bike at PT for now.  Frugal point is I had no co-pays for the ER visit.

*  I found money!

A penny in the driveway at the ER on Sunday night as I was leaving, after walking past a police woman guard and her shackled orange jumpsuit clad prisoner as they were going into the ER.  That was after watching 20 staff and police subdue a crazy man who was being committed attempted to leave and another guy who was pissed off because he had waited "30 minutes" to be seen(we were there for hours!)so he started cursing at the security guys(big F word cursing)such that one of them pulled out his weapon and they walked him out of the ER waiting room and stood guard for 1/2 an hour outside the entrance to make sure he didn't come back in with a weapon and shoot up the place.  Geez!
And another penny near the door at Walmart when I went to get my better than free Turkey on Tuesday.

Total Found in last Week.... .02¢
Total Found this Year.......$3.47

That's all I got.

Frugal Friday....the November 10th Edition

There are very few(if any)Frugal wins this past week so here goes....

*  I went to PT 3 x this past week.  Man, does that wear me out and I usually need a nap in the afternoon.  Good thing I've hit all my deductibles and co-pays so I'm not shelling out cash for this service.

*  Grocery shopping this past week--
Picked up a few things but not enough to hit the Mashed Potato Ibotta Bonus.  I can't count on getting a ride-on cart at the store so I have to send Hubs while I am in PT.  I had unlocked the Turkey sides items so I had him pick those up....
Used the stipend card so paid 0 OOP and got back $6.40 in rebates(also got a .25¢ any grocery receipt rebate).

I also picked up this......

2 Vitafusion Multivitamins.  $5.00 from Ibotta and another $5 from TaDa so they cost me .98¢ each.
I had Hubs runs into Super 1 Foods for a few produce deals and I waited in the car.  Fun times.

*  I had 2 doctor appointments so far this week.  One was terrible and the other was ok.  At least I didn't have any co-pays or deductibles.  go me.

*  I found money!

On the 3rd after walking around the massive Kroger I spied a penny in front of the pharmacy window, when I went to sit down to rest.

Went to Walmart and got a ride-on cart on the 5th.
On the way out after parking the vehicle I found a penny in the corner by the entrance.

Then I spied a piece of a dime poking out from the metal detector thingies.
Out in the foyer I found a nickel by the vending machines.

Frugal Friday....the September 29th Edition

Welcome to Frugal Friday!   And really, what a week of highs and lows it's been!!!

There are a few Frugal wins this past week so here goes....

*  Grocery shopping this week........

At Kroger late Friday, I picked up what's pictured above with Ibotta rebates and some also had digital Qs.  The boxed Kraft was given away to son in-law.
I spent $32.75 OOP on all this and got back $13.94 on Ibotta.

This is what got bought at Walmart on Saturday with Ibotta rebates and again the boxed Kraft went to the son in-law. I spent $44.04 OOP on what is pictured and got back $28.91 on Ibotta plus another $5 for hitting the Weekend Bonus between the Kroger shop and this one.
And I received $9.00 on Shopmium and $4.00 on Alexa so $15.94 OOP in the end on all this. (I also earned $3 worth of Shop Kicks too and .25¢ of Kroger Cash Back but those get counted once I cash out on those platforms.)

I'll also picked up a load of stuff on Thursday, mostly some prepackaged salads, frozen veggies as we were almost out, fresh fruit and veg to use up this coming week before we fly to Ohio, a can of tomato paste, a bag of pet treats, 3 bags of frozen chicken, and Hubs wanted a frozen pizza and a rope of Cajun boudin sausage.  That all came to $67.42 after my 5% Senior discount(since we went there on SD day).  We saved $33.06 over regular retail prices too.   I know this puts me over $400 for the month of September on food but it was either going to happen in September or October.  This is the discount grocer for Brookshire's a regional chain.  They sell Brookshire's branded items here but they charge less for them.  And I usually buy fresh produce here as it is cheaper than Walmart or Kroger.

*  Our granddog who is getting up there in dog years broke a tooth off a couple of weeks ago but 2 of the roots were still left in her gums.  Being elderly the vet is reticent to use anesthesia on her(due to her heart)but you can't do extraction on a dog without it.  They ran tests and daughter took the gamble she would pull through.  Got the word on Tuesday evening that she survived the operation and is recovering!

Cinnamon is the dog that lived with us in PA for 3 years while Daughter was finishing her degree.  She was my constant companion for those 3 years(before we adopted Chester)and I have a soft spot in my heart for her.

* Our power went out again.  This time due to a hellacious lightning storm on Sunday night(it stormed off and on all day and then into Monday and the strikes were so close a few actually shook our house).  We had nothing to eat(no way to cook or heat it)and had to go get bags of ice to try to save our freezer/fridge food.
We ended up going to a local restaurant for lunch because they had power still.  I ordered a chimichanga, which is my favorite thing to eat if it's Mexican.  What they brought me was not up to par.....

I choked down about half of the chimi only, as I was starving and as it was NOT fried as it should have been.  I'd had this before here(2 times)and it was cooked properly then.  This one was a gloppy oily mess.  Then they dumped what appeared to be processed cheese sauce on top of it(or a sort of melted Velveeta).  The beef was not seasoned beyond a bunch of salt.  The rice was not fully cooked either.  There were many crunchy grains plus it had no flavor.  I gave my refried beans to Hubs as they tasted sour and had a glob of sour cream on them which did nothing to hide the off flavor.
It was a crappy meal and I regret paying good money for it but Hubs wanted to go there.  Even the basket of restaurant made tortilla chips were flavorless.  At the Mexican restaurant I worked at in VA years ago, at least we put a good dose of garlic and salt on our tortilla chips.  These were nasty but I couldn't eat them anyway(empty carbs)so no loss for me plus their salsa has fresh cilantro in it so with my genetic anomaly it makes the salsa taste like soap.  ick.

*  Then my subpar PCP almost blew up my knee replacement because instead of doing a proper cardiac clearance on me for surgery, they did a half-assed EKG which was unacceptable to the surgeon's office.  I knew when they were preforming it that it wasn't going to pass muster as the nurse couldn't get a good reading with the inadequate equipment they were using.  Then the surgeon's office waited 4 DAYS to let me know it was unacceptable!  So I blame both parties for this.  After much gnashing of teeth and complaining loudly to all parties I got a stress test scheduled before I was suppose to fly to Ohio.  Hopefully this won't cost too much OOP but I am so done with every doctor I have seen here in Lousiana(and that isn't a typo). ;-)  I can't wait to get out of this place!!!
Thankfully I complained loudly enough to the PCP that she had the nurse refer me to a real cardiologist to run the needed tests to clear me for surgery.  I had those Wednesday and the cardiologist called me late that afternoon and told me I had passed with flying colors.  We got the results to the surgeon in Ohio and the surgery didn't get derailed after all but it was a very stressful couple of days, mentally, emotionally and physically.  I am thankful that this cardiologist that the PCP referred me to was competent and actually he was awesome! and that they could squeeze me in.  As I am 2 months away from Medicare had the surgeon's office had to reschedule this surgery I am sure it wouldn't have been in time for me to still qualify for this program through our private insurance.
I don't think I'll owe anything for these additional tests as I've met all my deductibles and co-pays too that is a blessing as well.

*  We went to the lawyer's office and signed all the paperwork Thursday for our legal documents(will, living will, healthcare POA, Financial POA).
I brought home these very nice ballpoint pens for free(the lawyer offered them, I didn't pilfer them).  They have advertising for the lawyer on them but this side is lovely. 8-)
I thought getting to take home the pens(plus some chocolates in a bowl from his waiting room)would make the sting of having to shell out $2,400 for his services would help but no, it didn't. lol  But it was something we had to have and spend on.  Asking around I find that his rates were fairly low for what we got so my mind is at ease on all accounts.

*  I found money! Finally!!

At that place we went to that served mediocre Tex-Mex food.  Found by the door as we left never to return again.
Adios Trejo's and gracias for the nickel!

Total Found in last Week.... .05¢
Total Found this Year.......$3.10

That's all I got.

Just sitting home is frugal, right?

Any frugal wins in your neck of the woods?  Let's hear all about them since I don't seem to be able to find much!

Frugal Friday....the May 15th Edition

Well, well, well!
Another week in lockdown and another week trying to be fugal.
Let's see what passed for frugal around Chez Sluggy this week......

*  While I missed that great copy paper deal at Staples(free after member rewards back)I did find a great deal on packing tape........

4 packs of heavy-duty tape with 6 rolls per pack so 24 rolls of tape.   It was something like 41% off and free shipping so I jumped on that deal!
We go through a lot of packing tape here at Chez Sluggy between shipping out Giveaway boxes, shipping gifts to family and friends and the occasional eBay sale.  I was down to my next to last roll before I saw this deal.
I also bought 10 reams of copy paper too(on sale for less than $4 per ream)because we were very low.
My subtotal was over $80 so I got an additional $20 off my order so with tax it all came to $70.97.
I thought I had gone through my rebate portal site but evidently I forgot. oops!  That would have been $1.41 back....oh well.  It won't break us. ;-)

*  Remember that 2.5 lbs. of scallions I got at the restaurant supply store a few weeks back?  Well I kept one of the bulb ends and put it in a bowl of water.........

And it sprouted!  I need to get this into the garden so it can keep going.

*  I had to go to Dollar Tree for cards.  Talk about a cleaned out card rack!  Geez....
I did find 2 food items to buy there.......

2 large boxes of lemon Jell-O.  Total spent $2.00 on the food budget.  I like to have Jell-O in the pantry for a light dessert in the Summer months or for delicate stomach issues.

*  I found money!
Not much this week because I didn't go many places and the few I did go there wasn't any change laying on the floors mostly....except for Rite-Aid.

Found this penny at R-A last Saturday when I went to go buy myself some perfume.  It was in front of the  register counter.

And I found this one tucked halfway under the floor mat in front of the other register again at R-A when I picked up an Rx on Thursday.

Found Money This Week...... .02¢
Found Money This Year so far....$45.08

* This came in the mail this past week.........

a 15% off your purchase coupon for Ollie's(Good Stuff Cheap!)good until the middle of June.
Actually we got THREE of these coupons under 3 different account numbers.  Before anybody starts yelling about how I am bating the system, I never signed up for 3 accounts there, only 1.  I don't know how or why I got three of the same coupon and I may actually use them all if I get a chance. 8-)

*  I haven't been to R-A except for drugs and I haven't been to Weis(PMITA)Markets at ALL this past week(yet-may go today because I still can't find any yeast and I need OJ)but we did go out to P and R Discounters on Thursday/yesterday after an unsuccessful hunt for Collard plants(hard to find up here in Yankeeland).

I spent around $75(haven't sat down to add it up with the Dollar Tree spending)at P and R and here are the best deals I got......

Fresh broccoli for .99¢ lb. and it actually looked decent.

I got lucky as they were just stocking what little meat they had to put out so I grabbed 2 items- 1lb. of ground chicken breast for $1.99(I'll add to ground beef for tacos or something)and a bottom round roast steak, just over a pound of it and it was $4.99 per lb.
Before this pandemic and the meat shortage/prices rising I'd never considered bottom round roast for that price a good deal.
I'll probably make beef and broccoli tonight.

The best deal yesterday was containers of fresh blackberries for .49¢ each.  I got Hubs 2 of them to have with his cereal or oatmeal in the morning.

I also got this creamer and 2 boxes of "healthy" rice crispy treats with blueberries for Hubs.
All were .99¢ each.  Good deal considering what any "Smashmallow" brand item costs at full retail.
*for Jen G.  PandR had TONS of tofu-and none of it spicy either.  You need to come shop here! lolz

I also got 1.5 lbs. of Pastrami and .50 lb. of chicken breast lunch meats sliced at their deli counter and 2 Roasted chickens.
We had 3/4 of 1 chicken last night reheated for dinner with stuffing and brussels sprouts.  I'll use the 1/4  of chicken in a pot pie in the next few days and the other roasted chicken will become chicken and dumplings at some point.
I can also make Pastrami Reubens with some of the Pastrami as Hubs and Ex-College Boy would like that for dinner one night soon. ;-)
So that makes 5 more dinners I've got on my list of possibilities now(reubens, beef/broccoli, pot pie, chicken/dumplings, tacos)besides the roast chicken we already had. ;-)

That's about all I have for this week.
Staying home, turning off the heat for most of this week in the house, digging in the yard, going down genealogy rabbit holes online and not eating out/take-out(mostly)....what's been my new normal(most of it old normal really).
Hubs and I decided that we each got half of that Stimulus check for personal use since we didn't need it to pay bills(other than feeding Ex-CB and all since we don't charge him rent).  We each moved our half into our private accounts.  I know he'll spend his in short order but I am hanging onto mine for now.

What frugal wins did y'all have this past week?
Tell us all about it!
