Bringing in March with Deals

True to my word I hit Kroger and Walmart yesterday on Friday for the deals.

Here is Dixie Belle posing with the 4 12-packs of soda I picked up.  There is/was a $3/1 Ibotta rebate on the Fruit Splash ginger ale(limit 2 offers)and these sodas were B2G2Free so $19.98 with $6 off making all 4 packs $13.98.

Here is the bulk of the non produce/meat deals I picked up.  The sugar-free Monster Drinks were B2G1Free plus I had a BOGO Q in my account so all 3 drinks cost $2.99 OOP.  The Back to Nature crackers and cookies were part of the Mega sale plus I had Ibotta rebates for each.  The BB Tuna packets were on sale $1 each, I had a digital Q for $1/4 and I got .50¢ back on Ibotta.  The Allegra was on clearance for $10.81(a 24 ct.)and the digital $5/1 Allegra Q came off making that $5.81 for almost a month of allergy meds.  The Palmolive dish soap was on weekly digital sale for $1.49 plus I had a digital Manf. Q for .75¢ off so that came to 74¢.  The Golden Grahams baked oat bars(these will be flying with us to and from the cruise in case we need food on some leg of the journey)were still on Mega for $1.99 a box plus I got $1 off each on Ibotta.  The Energizer flashlight/keychain items were $6.99 each.  I got $3 off each on Ibotta and $3 back for each one with Kroger Cash Back, making them cost .99¢ each in the end.
I would have also picked up the Bounty Glitch deal but my store was out of that item.

I found 5 meat deals....2 nice sized Nolan Ryan steaks for $9.97 on clearance, 2 lb. packs of 91% lean Ground Beef for $5.01 but were part of the Mega sale so paid $4.01 each. a hunk of Salmon marked down to $5.54 and a prepackaged hunk of Salmon with Brown Sugar Bourbon glaze marked down to $5.20 but again, part of the Mega sale so I paid $4.20 for that.
II also picked up a Caesar salad kit on clearance($1.65), a half gallon of lactose-free Good Culture milk which I had a $2.75 Ibotta rebate for, 5 x 2 ltr. Zero Sugar Dr. Peppers for $1 each on sale, a 4 pack of Kleenex which has part of the Mega sale($6.49)which I got $1 back on Ibotta for purchasing, and 2 Butterball turkey dinner smoked sausages for $4.19 total(I had a BOGO Q in my account).

Then I hit Walmart last evening.......

I got 2 x Palmolive dish soaps, 2 x Poise pads, a 2 pack of Bounty PTs, 3 travel size OS deodorants and 2 Febreeze car 2 packs.

I spent $29.22 and got back $38.05 from Ibotta, Shopmium and Tada, making that trip an $8.83 moneymaker.

In non-rebating news I bought these CPK salad dressings that were on clearance for $1.50 each.  These also had $1/1 peelie Qs on them so they cost $1 for both.

Then I hit Dollar General this morning as I needed to pick up a new baby card(my brother became a step-Great Grandfather last week, I guess that makes me a step -Great Grand Aunt too lolz).

I found a ton of these Tyson pork loins marked down 50% off so I picked up a few.  I repacked them in marinade when I got home(bbq or teriyaki)and put them in the freezer for future meals.

I hit my Weekend Warrior Bonus of $5 back on Ibotta but I'm not even half way to my Big Bonus which expires Sunday night.

Not a bad start to the grocery shopping month.

Frugal Friday....the March 4th Edition

So here are a few of the frugal-ish things that happened here this past week.......

*   No food waste last week. Not much cooking either but hey.....

*  I paid the sewage bill in full for 2022 to get a 3% discount at the bank they take payments for this at.  It's better than nothing, right?

*  I bought all this at my R-A on Saturday in one transaction using a $10 of wys $50 coupon.....

Nothing paid OOP and I earned $4 back on Ibotta for the cough lozenges.
I actually bought more than this but returned 4 items so I am not counting them in my total.

I then bought all this at a different R-A on Wednesday(new ad week).........

Suave and 2 other brands are giving $4 in BC when you
buy 2(limit of 2 per card)so I did the deal on 2 different cards.  The shampoo was $2.99 and get one 50% off, the body wash was $2.49 and get one 50% off.  Total spent in BC was $14.44(after using 2 x $1/2 Suave Qs)and I earned $8 in BC on each card so $16 BC total.
This is the first rose scented Suave body wash I've seen and I am a sucker for anything rose scented. 8-)

* I bought this stuff for Ibotta rebates on a trip to Walmart on Monday....

Spent $1.98 OOP after coupons and free $25 gift card uced, and earned back $12.75 back in reg. rebates and bonuses.  The Almay face make-up, the clearance Colgate toothpaste and 6 Bic razors were moneymakers after Qs(no rebates though)so that is why I included them.  Moneymaker items help lower the cost of the Ibotta rebate items.

* I hit a different Walmart on Thursday and bought all this for Ibotta rebates....

$37.67 paid OOP and $48.02 earned in regular rebates($27.52) and 2 Bonuses($20-the big $15 one and a $5 Weekend Warrior one) and a .50¢ Renuzit Bonus.

*  I also bought 2 packages of Land O Lakes American cheese at the deli counter.  Swag Bucks has a deal to get $7.00 back in points when you buy a package of each color cheese-no size restriction.  I only spent $3.59 total of both packages of cheese so that's a $6.41 moneymaker on Swag Bucks.  Of course only the white cheese label says Land o Lakes on it so I had to put a ticket into customer service to get the full 700 Points back.  You would think they'd know by now Walmart does this with the yellow cheese label? lolz

*  I got $2 in post Qs at Rite-Aid on March 1st.......

I forgot 3 Qs at home last week. oopsie!

*  I went on Wednesday and got a massage at a "spa" in a nearby town.  Hubs gave me a gift card to this place for Christmas.....

The masseuse was nice, the massage felt good but....
The building was an old large house on the main road through town and was not a nice well kept old house but more like a they put "lipstick on a pig" old house.  I know the photo looks nice but there was stuff not in the photo like missing baseboard, cracks in the walls, the stairs up to the second floor where this massage room was located were definitely crooked and needed attention.
This place also made you book a massage online and put a 50% deposit down on a credit card which Hubs wasn't informed of(I bet he didn't ask either).  So the gift card which would have covered all but $5 of that massage(not counting the tip to the masseuse)was only half used.  So now if I want to go back I have to spend another $52.50 OOP on the c/c to use all the gift card. sigh.
I told Hubs I really appreciated the thought but don't gift card a spa again. lolz

*  After my massage I hit what use to be my beloved discount grocers that closed up end of last year.  It is now a liquidators and I wanted to check it out since I was in the area.  It looked like they get a lot of open boxes and/or returns from Costco(lots of Kirkland branded things)and such.  The closest Costco is 2+ hours away from here.
They did have some food items so I picked up these....

A large tub of pecans.

A case of wet dog food which came out to less than .50¢ a can.

A large box of Greenie type dog treats(72 count) and a 12 pack of canned corn.    It all came out to $36.  I bet nobody ever got out of Costco spending that little! hehehe  They mark everything here 50% of what Costco charges and if it's still here after a month they knock another 10% off, and on and on.

*  Frugal fail--When we went out to Walmart on Thursday I brought along an Applebee's gift card to use to get lunch but we both decided we'd rather hit the Chinese Buffet at the mall so instead of a free after gift card lunch we had to pay OOP.  We did save in that neither of us needed/wanted dinner that night. 8-)

*  Easy Spirit had a flash sale last week on clearance priced Winter/Fall shoes.  I got 4 pair of shoes for next Fall/Winter for only $17.25 a pair(reg. $69-$75 per pair!)and free shipping AND used a $15 discount I have for buying shoes previously from them which meant $54.00 out the door for 4 pair of clogs that fit my big ass foot.  Now I need to go cull the worn out Winter shoes in my closet....

*   I found money!

Two different pennies in the same Rite-Aid in town on Monday.

Found in different locations within the store.

A dime near the front of my R-A when I walked in on Tuesday.

Three pennies at the bank where I went to pay the sewage bill.  They were in the lane next to my lane
at the drive-thru so after the gal shot my receipt through the pneumatic tube thingy I pulled up, got out of the car and walked back into the other lane and picked them up.  The one at the top of the photo obviously had been lying there for awhile longer than the other two since it was coated in rock salt debris.  And Sissie there was NO traffic there to potentially run me down! lol

Total Found in last Week...... .15¢
Total Found This Year......$3.42

That's about all I've got for this past week.

Any frugal wins in your neck of the woods?  Let's hear all about them!

And have a good weekend and stay warm!

I Hit It Lucky!

I went to Walmart Tuesday to finish 2 Ibotta Bonuses(Field Goal and Mid Week)on 8 rebates.  When I went to leave and check-out I passed by the freezer area and spied a bunch of clearance on a freezer end unit.  .50¢ for each item.  Check it out......

I got....
4 x Healthy Choice meals
2 x GV Turkey w/Mashed Potatoes
2 x Tai Pei Beef and Broccoli
2 x Scott & Jon's Mac and Cheese w/Broccoli
2 x GV Beer Battered Fish boxes
1 x Gardein Sausage Breakfast Patties

$6.50 for all this....rah me!  Well I put this on a free Swag Bucks gift card to really it was all free in that way. 8-)))

Maybe not the healthiest food but for .50¢ a great option for those times we need a quick meal.  Hubs won't eat the fake sausage but I'll use it. ;-)

More Rite-Aid This Week....30% off & Clearance

So Sharpie and Paper Mate items are part of a "Buy 2/Get $2 BC" Deal this week.  I found that all those Sharpie and Paper Mate clearance items also work on this Deal.

I hit Rite-Aid on Friday and Saturday since it is the 30% Friends and Family sale those days to get some more free and/or moneymaker Colgate toothpaste(some of the varieties that are on sale for $3.50 are even less with 30% off plus the In-Ad Q and any ManuQ you can find to stack with them).

Here is what I ended up getting..........

3 x Colgate Optic White toothpaste
3 x Cogate Total toothpaste
2 x Sharpie pens on clearance
2 x Paper Mate colored pencils on clearance
2 x Prang paint brush sets on clearance(not part of a deal, just almost free)

All of this cost me $2.86 in Bonus Cash and earned me back $4.00 in new Bonus Cash(2 x Buy2 Sharpie/PM Get $2BC)so a $1.14 moneymaker. 8-)

Then this morning and did this........

2 x Colgate Max Fresh toothpaste
2 x Colgate Total toothpaste
6 x Paper Mate colored pencils
1 x Paper Mate dual end colored pencils on clearance(these were $1.24 and the other 6 packs were .62¢)
1 x Sharpie pen on clearance

Total was $3.92 including sales tax paid for with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $8 in new Bonus Cash(4 x $2 wyb2 S/PM)so a $4.08 moneymaker. 8-)))

Lots of toothpaste for the giveaway boxes and some art stuff too and I grew my Bonus Cash a bit.

Next week there's not much worth getting at Rite-Aid unless you need Easter basket candy or movie gift cards(some of those give BC next week).  I might try to do the $15 prepaid Visa P&G wyspend $50 that expires the end of May.  I've got $7.80(after Qs)from shampoo I bought at CVS a couple weeks ago so far toward that.  I might get some Olay body wash(love that stuff!)as it's on sale and the Qs for it are valid until 4/27 and I have BC I need to use up or lose on 1 card.
Still thinking on what to do there.
