Frugal Friday....the March 3rd Edition

Welcome to Frugal Friday!

There are a few Frugal win this past week......

*  On Monday I had to get out of the house.  So we hit a craft burger place/bar that does Trivia on Monday evening.  We ate at home and just got a beer and water.  Had We eaten here too it would have cost $50+.

*  On Wednesday we found a bread outlet and went to check it out.

$1.30 for a loaf sure beats $4.49 at the grocery store.  They even had some Dave's killer bread/bagels for $3.00 each.  Most of what we bought got put into the freezer.  Daughter loves strawberry shortcake and I got strawberries so if she makes it over for liver and onions on Saturday I've got dessert for her. 8-)

*  Hubs bought another interior door handle for the Master bedrooms to replace the exterior door handle that was on that door.   He also replaced the innards of the 2 sinks' faucets in that bathroom. Inexpensive to replace ourselves vs. paying a handyman and plumber to do this.

*  I found money!
Nope.  Skunked again.

Total Found in last Week.... .00¢
Total Found this Year....... .38¢

That's all for this past week.

Any frugal wins in your neck of the woods?  Let's hear all about them!

  1. Hope you continue your series on the house hunting saga. I didn’t really find anything frugal
    To speak of except a pair of blue Jean shorts in my size at Walmart. They were $3 bucks. However, my food budget is just….. I have also, somehow, managed to injure my back, and I am waddling like a duck. Cindy in the South

  2. I've never used CVS before, but there is one right next to the high school, where I'm often picking up a teen. I've started to use the app & have gotten about $20 of free stuff (I use it to buy teen snacks, tea bags, etc). I also sold two pair of shoes that didn't fit on eBay.

  3. Nice haul at the bread store. I don't go to ours very often unless I am Independence Place, since it is in their area. When I do go though the prices are substantially better than buying it at a grocery store, and about the only thing we eat using sliced bread is a sandwich which does not care at all if it is squishy bread or not.

  4. I was so jealous of your bread haul...lol & then I found Dave's Killer bread on clearance at Kroger. We do have a bread outlet, but it's not my preferred bread brand and their prices aren't that great.
