Happy August!

No rest for the wicked this first weekend in August!

We got home about 5pm yesterday from Virginia and there was work to be done.
Food bought to put away.......


And beans to snap, blanch and freeze.....

Then it was meat and veggies to marinate for the grill on Sunday before bedtime.

Today I've already made breakfast, cleaned the kitchen, cut up cantaloupe, stocked the fridge with drinks, and cut up peaches..........


And now if you'll excuse me I have peach jam to make and put up, then a deck to sweep and a bathroom to clean.  ;-)

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend.

  2. Awesome deal on ground beef-what is the other piece of meat behind it?

    1. The ground beef was about $1.91 lb. marked down.
      I bought 2 flank steaks(flat iron steaks)marked down to $4.79 lb. If I had had more room in the cooler I'd have bought more of each!

  7. Peach jam... Mmmmm ! And all I get is strawberry preserves from Walmart. I wonder if some nice lady might drive through Maryland and drop off some peach jam sometime in a brown paper bag.
