I'm So Excited!...In My Boring Sort of Way

But then again, it doesn't take much to make me excited...lol

I just wanted to jump on here quickly while I had a spare minute to let y'all know that the series, "Who Do You Think You Are?" is premiering tonight on TLC cable channel.  The series ended a couple of years ago on NBC but has been picked up by TLC(or as I like to call it, "The weirdoes and train wrecks of humanity channel").

I can't wait for the start time of 9pm Eastern time.
The episode synopsis says, "Kelly Clarkson explores her lineage and uncovers an ancestor deeply rooted in American history in the season premiere."

Oooooo!
Sounds like an ancestor who came to America way back, doesn't it?

If it's far enough ago, I wonder if her ancestor knew my ancestors?   We should so totally get together for tea and a chat about it, don't ya think? lol

I am so glad it's mid July because finally there is something to watch on tv in the evenings besides old movies on the old movie channels that I've seen a bazillion times already.

Last Thursday PROJECT RUNWAY debuts it's Season 12.

And my guilty TLC pleasure of HONEY BOO-BOO(Hey! Don't judge me!) Season 2 premiered last Wednesday.
I think Mama June is awesome sauce......

And then when my heart couldn't take much more excitement SISTER WIVES premiered on Sunday night.
Lord help me!

Though I am getting a bit bored with those sister wives.  Doing a trade show for My Sister Wives Closet in that part of UTAH?  What kind of reception did you expect there?  I bet the tv producers suggested they do that show just so they could get some folks on camera to comment on how much they hate "pligs" and how they are going to burn in hell.
Go do a real trade show in Vegas or LA sister wives if you want to make some $$$.

So today another hour of scrumptious tv viewing is added to my schedule with WDYTYA.

And come August 14, be still my heart!, we get the Season Premier of DUCK DYNASTY!
I cans hardly stand it folks!!

We'll be on the road on the 14th but I'll be sure to get to a tv set in time for that show too if I have to bribe or kill someone.
Hey!
I need my weekly dose of Uncle SI, Phil, Jase, Willie, Godwin and Miss Kay.

And as Miss Kay would say......

"She Gone!"

Sluggy outta here

  1. I'm not exactly sure if you're being sarcastic or honest. I'm not much of a TV watcher, so I really can't gauge. Last TV show I watched must've been 2 years ago, a Discovery Channel's experiment on post-apocalypse society (The Colony). Other than that... yeah, at a loss. Those are quite, um, unique characters pictured there! The camo wallpaper is definitely a touch.

    1. I am serious as a heart attack. I hardly watch any primetime network shows....
But I do have a guilty pleasure watching those "oh gosh, it's too awful to look away" shows like Honey Boo-Boo, Sister Wives and Hoarders.
Also, I like some of the competition shows-Project Runway and Top Chef mostly because the folks on those have real talent and skills.

And then I HAVE TO like/watch the genealogy shows-WDYTYA on TLC and Finding Your Roots on PBS.....except WDYTYA was sort of boring last night as they only did 1 ancestor of Kelly Clarkson and they made the mistake of letting her talk too much(filler)and she proved herself to be not too bright. lol

  2. You are talking a foreign language since I have never seen any of those shows. I have watched enough of honey boo boo on utube to know I absolutely hate it. So, what makes you love the June or Honey Boo Boo? I need to apologize to my youngest daughter for naming her Alana. I hope you can get to a TV without getting in trouble.

    1. lol....your poor daughter.

I like that those Honey Boo-Boo folks are real folks. They act like they act in RL and they are not pretty tv people. It's about time they put reg. people on tv shows. Though I don't approve of Mama June's eating habits, I think she is doing all the right things with the money they are getting for these shows and she is trying hard to keep her kids grounded and not let them turn into Hollywood monster children. They are a bit eccentric and over the top but that's ok.

  4. OK, so I found something we *don't* have in common -- had to happen sooner or later!

  5. I do not have cable but I must honestly say for a good little "Morman" girl I think sister wives is fascinating. Shhh! Don't tell my husband.

  6. The only reality show I caught was merely by accident. I was searching extreme couponing and Mama June (Honey Boo Boo) came up, so thought I'd check it out. It sucked me in like a wild traffic accident on the side of the road you just can't take your eyes off of. While I admit I did think at first glance it was a hoot, after re-watching I realized (although God bless her for the fact she is making money for being herself)...girl is gonna die young on the crap she eats!!! 3 sticks of butter and an entire bottle of ketchup is her 'sketti' sauce. Cringe. Nothing against her, as I say...but...I can't watch. The rest of the shows, I've heard Duck Dynasty is also good. We don't have cable here. Just regular channels. I'm very thankful now.

    1. I try not to judge Mama June or anybody else for their eating lifestyle but yes, she is diabetes and gout and high blood pressure, heart attack and an early grave waiting to happen. She hasn't had her health wake up call yet but hopefully the path she is on leads her to where she needs to be.
