Last Trip to Rite-Aid This Week

Went back to Rite-Aid and bought this on son's card to get to the $20 BPE Reward...........

2 x 4 pack light bulbs on sale=$15.98
2 x Speed Stick Deo on sale(but Wellness disc. less $2.95)=$5.90
1 x Gear Deo on sale=$3.49
SubTotal......$25.37

1 x $2/1 Gear Deo IPQ(NLA)=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Gear Deo In-AdQ=$2.00
Coupon Total........$5.00

$25.37-$5.00=$20.37+$1.23 tax=$21.60 paid with Plenti points.

I earned $33 in new Plenti points($20 BPE Reward, 2 x $1.50 Speed Stick regular, 2 x $5 Light bulbs) so I am "up" $11.40 in Plenti points for this transaction and I am at $108.28 in tracking for the next BPE Reward at $150 spent.

I'll be going back on Sunday when the new ad starts and get to the $100 spending level on my card to earn the $20 Points Reward again.

This is probably all I will try for with the BPE Rewards.  It's been an "ok" promotion and much better than both last January's and February's promotions, in which I only earned 4 movie theater tickets total for both months.  I like earning free Plenti points much better and the promos have been more lucrative this year.

So 1 more trip and then I'll be laying off of Rite-Aid trips for awhile.

I'll have to wait and see what Rite-Aid has in store for March to see if I'll be going back anytime soon to pillage.  ;-)

Frugal Hack--Moving Medicines

No, I am not referring to constipation drugs. lolz
But rather I got this in the mail this week.........

An offer for $60 in Kmart gift cards for transferring 2 prescriptions to their pharmacy.
I have 2 rxs that need filling later this month so will move those to K-Mart to fill at that time.  I have another rx that needs renewing early in March so may have that renewed to K-Mart instead of Rite-Aid and then transfer it to Rite-Aid when refilled in April to take advantage of a $25 in Plenti Points Offers then.
Basically I'll pay the same prices at both pharmacies and reap $85 in store script for my efforts.
When my other rxs expire and need renewing I'll have them done at K-Mart(will also earn another $10 in K-Mart gift cards for refilling 5 rxs there)and then as Plenti Points Offers appear at Rite-Aid will migrate them all back for another $50 in Plenti Points.

Rite-Aid This Week

When I went out on Sunday to get Hubs his SB pizza and dip making supplies I also stopped in at Rite-Aid for the Deals.

Between what I printed online last week and what came in the 3 copies of the newspaper on Sunday I had 11 coupons for $1/1 Arm & Hammer Detergent.
Weis in last week's ad had this item for $1.87 per jug/pack, making them .87¢ each after Q.
I used 5 of my Qs there last week but used the 6 Qs from the inserts at Rite-Aid.  The RA price was $1.99(.13¢ more than the Weis price after Q)BUT this item also qualified toward the BPE so it was a cheap way to get my spending total up to $100 and that first $20 Plenti points Reward, in a week with very few Deals for cheap/free that included items counting toward the BPE.

There were Qs on coupons dotcom(NLA)for $2/1 Gear deodorants.  The R-A ad has a $2 off Gear deodorant coupon this week and this item is on sale for $3.49, which means by stacking these 2 Qs you can get that item for free PLUS get "overage" of .51¢ toward other items you purchase in the same transaction.  Don't try to buy the Gear Deo without something else to absorb the overage.

On son's card........

I used Plenti points and earned $7 back in new Plenti points(for spending $15 in P&G products-Tide/Pantene/Cover Girl).

The detergents and make-up tracked toward my BPE total giving me $80.92 toward the $20 Reward.

Then I bought this stuff in 2 transactions(photo-ed together as it is easier).......

I then regrouped and bought 1 Arm & Hammer plus 2 more Gear Deos on son's card.
Total OOP was $2.09 which I put on a free R-A gift card(as my total was too low to use Plenti points).
This card now has tracking of $82.91 toward the BPE.

I bought the other 5 A&H detergents on my card, spending down $5.25 of my Plenti points.  I now have $75.11 tracking toward the BPE on this other card.

Nothing spent OOP for these trips and $107.62 worth of items brought home.

I may or may not be done for the week at Rite-Aid as I am still contemplating what I can buy for free/cheap next week that we can use that will get me to the $20 reward on each card before this program ends later this month.

When Did That Happen?!

So I just realized that yesterday was Mardi Gras.
How come y'all threw a boozy party and didn't tell me/invite me?!? lolz
I will continue this post in a whispered tone just in case anyone reading this through bloodshot bleary eyes is not up to snuff today.  ;-)

Oh, that's ok, I have been feeling punky lately anyway.  I thought I had a flu coming on or at the very least a bad head cold but either I nipped it in the bud with NyQuil and sleep and Afrin spray or it was just all in my head(not literally just figuratively it seems).lol
I blame the sea of unsanitatry/unhygienic humanity I encountered on Sunday when I went to Weis(PMITA)Markets to buy a frozen pizza or three for Hubs for his Super Bowl viewing pleasure.
My head is still vacillating between feeling like it's filled with hardened Portland cement and/or has a sewer of snot running through it.

Lucky for me that I had yesterday's post already written up in advance and WAS able to press of few keys and publish it so y'all had something to read here.

The good news is I am feeling a mite better today after 2 days of "bleh"(highly sophisticated medical term).
I have also stayed out of the grocery stores for the very same 2 days.....after the SpendFest of last week can you imagine that!.....and have spent $0.
Go me!
The bad news is that since I was feeling "bleh" Hubs went out and bought take-out food last night so we have spent "Eating Out" monies this month.
Boooooo!
In addition to the bad news I haven't been on the exercise bike in 2 days due to my feeling like my body would break if I tried exerting myself.
Exercise resumes today and we pick up right where we left off on that regard.

I am also feeling like digging(literally)back into the genealogy stuff so I'll likely be disappearing down that rabbit hole soon again.

Ok, I am off to finish writing up some tax forms so I can get something filed!

Boy, how I wish this country would adopt the FairTax plan and soon.  Yah, it would throw a lot of government workers out of a job(as well as CPAs and tax lawyers and less government spending would also be a great side benefit!)but man, oh man, it would sure simplify our lives in that regard.  And the less time I have to spend what little of my life I have left on tax shit, the better!
