While we missed most of the snow from last Friday's storm in our corner of PA, we are due for a foot or so of snow in the next 24 hours.
I figured I'd run out to another Rite-Aid before the 'snow event' hits and see if I could find the Dove Men's Body Wash that my local RA was out of on Sunday.
No Body Wash at this store either but I got a few things anyway....lol
2 x GE Lightbulbs on sale $2.50=$5.00

AND there is a token for 5 Music Downloads FREE in the package of Razors.
Even if you don't have the Wellness Shave Access. $1 Q but all the other Qs to use, your OOP on this transaction will be $4.66 and once you get back to SCRs of $3, you will only be OOP $1.66 for all these items in the end.
And I finished up on BIL's Nivea $5 Gift Card SCR deal. I was short 3 CENTS on making the $15 purchase, so this Nivea Body Wash put me over.
Now I just need to purchase $7.39 more of P&G items to qualify BIL for the $35 level on the Prepaid Visa Card.

Price Chopper Grocery Store Catalina Deals Last Week
So how much can you buy at the Grocery Store for $92.32?
Here's what I can buy.....
How about some closer photos.....
21 Mac & Cheese
12 Jello
2 Planters Cashews
6 Capri Sun
15 Parmesan Cheese(1 not pictured)
10 Oreos
10 Ritz Toasted Crackers
4 Knorr's Sides
2 Wishbone Dressing
5 Quaker Oats
12 Old El Pas Sides & Seasonings
22 PC Tomato Paste small
14 PC Tomato Paste large
8 PC Pasta
3 Baking Soda
2 Cheez Doodles(1 not pictured)
1 Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream(not pictured)
2 PC Facial Tissue
1 PC Hand Soap
20 Dove Shampoo
15 Wisk Laundry Detergent
1 Dove Men Body Wash
1 Dove Men Soap
7 Dove Deodorant
1 Degree Deodorant
1 Dove Lotion
3 Caress Body Wash
1 Q-Tips
5 Toothpaste(4 Colgate/1 Tom's of Maine)
1 Marcal Paper Towels
4 Marcal Toilet Paper
That's 211 items.
A retail value of $642.22.
A savings of 85.62%.
Plus I ended up with $36 in Catalinas($6 On Your Next Meat Purchase/$30 on Any Purchase) to spend in the coming weeks.
AND...once I buy 5 single serve Mac&Cheese cups(when I find them on sale for .50¢ or less)I can send for the Kraft Back to School $20 Rebate. I bought the 10 cookies/crackers(oreos & ritz) and 5 beverages(capri sun) in these PC trips for this rebate.
And I received my FREE OREOS Qs(we got multiple copies of it & I don't know why...did anyone else?) in the mail Saturday morning, so I was able to use them on my last trip to Price Chopper to have an even lower OOP than I had planned.
Price Chopper had 2 Doubler Qs on their ads in the newspaper last week. I used them on the $2 Marcal Qs so I got the Marcal products for $1.99 a package after sale, Q and doubler. The rest I used on assorted items in the Catalina deals with higher value coupons.(Dove $1.50 shampoo Qs, Wisk $2 Qs, Ritz $2/2 Qs, etc.) PC also had a store Q that doubled any Colgate Q in the sales ad. Unfortunately, Colgate doesn't release high value Qs but my $1/1 Total Toothpaste Q doubled to $2 and the Colgate Tpaste was $2.50 on sale, making it .50¢ after Qs.
Price Chopper also had a store coupon for Facebook fans for $5 off WYB 10 PC/Store Brand items.
I used that Q 5 times....I got tomato paste for .22¢, pasta for .19¢, etc. doing that.
My favorite deal I got was the Quaker Oats. I found a $3/5 Quaker Manu Q in a store sales ad from another store from a couple of weeks ago in my stack of newspapers in the garage. Quaker oatmeal was on sale for $1.50 a canister. I bought 5 canisters for $7.50 and using that $3/5 Q AND a Doubler Q I turned my Q into a $6 off Q, making my 5 canisters of Oatmeal cost $1.50 or .30¢ each!
I am proud of myself this time around at Price Chopper too because for the most part I bought things we needed(we had just run out of Parmesan Cheese!). The pasta, baking soda and tomato paste are things I use alot of, plus toilet paper and laundry detergent is always welcomed here.lol Most of the Dove will be making a trip to the flea market as we are still stocked to the gills with those items.
So the Price Chopper campaign is complete.
I just loooooove getting great deals, don't you?
Even as old and jaded as I am, I still get a thrill when this coupon obsession pays off.lol
I'm hoping they have another good Catalina Deal around Easter like they did last year, but I'm not holding my breath.lol
Now we open the floor to questions and comments......anyone?

Rite-Aid Shopping for 1/31/10-2/6/10.....Making Money the Easy Way!
Last week.....oh, where to begin!
It was a shopping killer!
Seriously.
I.
Am.
Worn.
Out.
First there was Rite-Aid....of course!lol
Lots of deals....Single Check Rebate Cash Deals and Gift Card or Prepaid Visa Card Deals to chase.
Then along came Price Chopper in the grocery department with 2 excellent Catalina Deals last week.
I could have done more shopping but I am only one woman! ;-)
I was going to do a play by play on the Rite-Aid transactions but it's just so overwhelming at this point and letting you know that scenarios won't help since that week's deals are over.
So I am just going to show you one big picture of everything I got at Rite-Aid last week.
Ready?
The only thing missing are 2 bags of Chex Mix.
What can I say....some people here got hungry.lol
So for the important numbers.....
Value of Items...$322.70
Initial Out of Pocket Spent...$22.47 Cash
But Wait!
Single Check Rebates in Cash qualified for....$29.98
$22.47-$29.98SCR=$7.51 Moneymaker
Rite-Aid once again is paying me $7.51 cash to take all this stuff home.
Oh, did I forget to mention that I finished qualified for 2 Healthy Heart SCR #550(1 for me, 1 for BIL) buying all this so that's 2 $25 Gift Cards too?

Weis is Lousy with Catalina Deals This Week!
I was going to do my run down of what is worth buying at Weis Grocery Stores this week, but this Week is a Holy Week at Weis it turns out and I can't be bothered with regular old what's cheap or free this week.
There are FOUR, COUNT ' EM FOUR CATALINA DEALS!!!
Of course, they aren't Fabulous though.....alot of the products don't have any coupons currently available and some of them are specialty items like baby food, diapers and pet stuff, so if you don't have a 2 legged or a 4 legged baby in your home, you don't need/want to do some of the Cat Deals. Take out the unhealthy stuff(cake mix, frosting, ice cream, etc.)and the high price point items(big bags dog food, boost nutrition drinks, paper towels and adult diapers..lol)and you are left with barely enough stuff to pull together a decent scenario.
Here are the Catalina Deals with the shelf prices/sale prices from my local store(your store may be a bit higher or lower so be sure to check before working your scenarios). I spent Sunday afternoon reconnoitering at my local store to get the prices.
Remember the SHELF PRICE is what you need to get to, not the sale price! Then deduct your coupons to get to your OOP.

My thoughts.....
Cat Deal #4 is junk....difference between shelf and sale prices are small IF THERE AT ALL. Most are high priced items and coupons don't bring it down enough for a low out of pocket.
Add in that the Cat is only $5 and the buy point is $20 which is a 1:4 ratio.
Bleh....
Cat Deal #1 has potential...especially if you have a cat and it eats Fancy Feast. $1.25 shelf to $.50 sale price plus there is a $1/24 cans Q for this stuff. IE--buy 28 cans(shelf price is $35). 28 cans at $.50=$14 OOP. Add in a $1/24 Q and you pay $13.00. Get a $10 Catalina. Buy 28 more cans...use another $1/24 Q and the $10 Cat and your second batch of 28 cans costs you $3.00 OOP and you get another $10 Cat to keep rolling. If you did this deal 5 times(and had 5 $1/24 Qs)you would end up paying $25 OOP total, have 140 cans of Fancy Feast and a $10 Cat leftover to roll into something else.
That's .178¢ a can plus $10 worth of Cat.
I see potential in the Chef Michaels Dog Food too. Buy 9 bags($35.91 shelf price)for $31.50 and use 9x $2/1 Qs=$13.50 OOP and get a $10 Cat.
Roll the deal.
Pay $3.50 for the next 9 bags and get another $10 Cat.
Roll it 5 times and you end up with 45 bags, $27.50 OOP and a $10 Cat left to roll into something else.
That's .61¢ a bag plus $10 worth of Cat.
Even the water deal, if you buy bottled water has merit.
Buy 14 Aqua Pod Packs($35 shelf price) at $1 a pack=$14 OOP. Get a $10 Cat.
Roll the deal again using the Cat and pay $4 OOP for the next 14 Packs.
5 Rolls and you have 70 packs of Water, OOP $30 and a $10 Cat left to roll into something else.
That's .428¢ a pack of 8(.053¢ a bottle) plus $10 worth of Cat.
Here is the BEST DEAL I see.....
In CAT DEAL TWO....there are 2 potential MINI CATS you can do inside this Deal!
Buy your $30 shelf price worth of items but be sure to include in these items....
6 Pillsbury(rolls/cookies) and 6 Old El Paso items.
Not only will you get an $8 Cat for buy $30 of items, you will get a $4 Cat for buying the Pillsbury items and a $3 OYN Meat purchase Cat for buying the Old El Paso items!
That's $12 in Cats to roll and a $3 Cat for buying meat.
I hope this gives ya'll some items.
Let me know if you see a particular scenario worth doing.
Dang, I wish I had some more OEP Qs!!!
Sluggy
Here's an Easy Rite-Aid Scenario....Spend $2.03 OOP/Get $29.76 in Stuff
I went over to Rite-Aid on Sunday to do a transaction, after my belated Birthday meal at Red Lobster.
Well of course they were out of the new Dove Men's Body Wash, which would have been a $1.25 moneymaker at $4 a bottle with a full price SCR and a $1.25 ManuQ.
This torpedoed my scenario but I quickly found another combination of items to buy.
Before you head out to try this scenario, sign up to watch the videos at AdPerks on the Rite-Aid website. Watch enough video commercials to get 20 credits and you can download the Bonus $5 off a $20 Purchase Q. You can only print this Q ONCE, so make sure you select multiple copies to print out when your printer prompts you to tell it how many copies to print, ok?After you get the $5 off $20, pull out your inserts from 1/3 SS & 1/3 RP and this Sunday's P&G insert and clip the appropriate Qs.
This scenario is quite easy to follow so lookie here all you Rite-Aid hounds......
1 x Venus Embrace or Breeze Razor on sale=$7.99
1 x Olay Body Wash=$7.79
**I have a 10% off reg. price discount from my Wellness card, so the Body Wash was only $7.01
1 x Nivea Body Wash on sale=$2.99
1 x Purevia on sale=$2.99
SubTotal....$21.76/$20.98 with discount
Coupons Used
1 x $5 off $20 Purchase AdPerks IPQ=$5.00
1 x $2/1 Venus Embrace or Breeze Razor ManuQ(2/7 P&G insert)=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Any Shaving Accessory CRT printed Wellness Q=$1.00
1 x Buy Embrace/Breeze Razor, Get Olay Body Wash FREE ManuQ(2/7 P&G insert)=$7.79/$7.01 w/discount
1 x $2/1 Nivea Body Wash ManuQ(1/3 RP insert)=$2.00
1 x $2/1 Purevia ManuQ(1/3 SS insert)=$2.00
Coupon Total.....$19.79/$19.01w/discount
$21.76-$19.79=$1.97+.06¢PAtax=$2.03 OOP
I had $2.22 on a Gift Card left so I had Zero OOP and .19¢ left to burn.
In addition the Olay and Razor count toward SCR #551--the P&G Buy $25/Get $5 Visa Card, Buy $50/Get $15 Visa Card, Buy $100, Get $35 Visa Card, so that's $15.78 toward your total purchases(or $15 in my case). Just $9.22 more in P&G items and you qualify for a $5 prepaid Visa Card.
I'm working on BIL's Visa card. I got mine in the mail already, early last week.....
The Nivea Body Wash also counts toward your $15 purchase of Nivea items to qualify for a $5 Gift Card, SCR#56. $2.99 down, $12.01 to go.....
the Nivea Body Lotion is also on sale this week for $5.99 a bottle. There are $5/2 ManuQs from 1/03 RP insert. If you can use Wellness Qs, combine that Nivea Q with 2 x $2 off any Skin Care item over $2.99 Wellness IPQ(check your Wellness account on the Rite-Aid site for the link to the PDF)....2 x $5.99=$11.98-$5-$2-$2=$2.98 OOP. Combine this with other purchases to total $20 or more and you can use an AdPerk $5 off $20 purchase IPQ too and bring your OOP even lower.
With regard to my scenario above, if you don't have a Wellness card and the Wellness CRT printed Q for the $1 off Shaving Access. your OOP will be $3.09 and not $2.03 But that's still a good price, right?
I noticed that the prices on the Nivea and Olays in my local store on Sunday have been jacked up....the Nivea Body Wash by .30¢ and the Olay Body Wash by .50¢. I wonder if we may be seeing more price increases on other items in Rite-Aid soon.

I noticed that the prices on the Nivea and Olays in my local store on Sunday have been jacked up....the Nivea Body Wash by .30¢ and the Olay Body Wash by .50¢. I wonder if we may be seeing more price increases on other items in Rite-Aid soon.
