As for the grocery spending.....2 trips to Weis brought the food spending last week to $51.33. I used $38.53 in gift cards(1 trip)so it would have been $89.86 without the gift cards. This brought my April food spending total to $51.33. There are 27 days left in the month.
My savings percentages last week was 70.44%(or 48.25% if I count the gift card purchases).
Leftovers going into this week.......1 slice Meatloaf, Cabbage and Carrots, Spaghetti and Meatballs, Cole Slaw and Haddock and a little bit of Corned Beef(enough for a sandwich).

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?
Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?
Any great deals on food at your stores this week?

I think your corned beef is multiplying! I promised my daughter curry tonight. there's sure to be some sort of pasta and sauce and chicken and rice or noodles, and fish, but not sure what with. Hoping now that DHS went nuts in the grocery store, I can sit down and plan actual meals with what he purchased so I can stay on track the rest of the month.
ReplyDeleteOur plan was successful last week, although we ran out of food before we got to Friday. The boys are really starting to eat more! I cobbled together a very creative dinner on Friday in the evening, so it all worked out. This week is a strange mix, as we have guests, M is out of town, my mom & I are going to dinner, and I have a work dinner. Otherwise, we are having tacos, PF Chang's delivery, and leftovers.
ReplyDeleteGreat savings last week at 70.44%. We ate all our meals from home and packed lunches for a couple of days when we were out of the house. I'm making chicken tenders tonight and have cabbage and carrots to go with it. I have not decided about the rest of the week yet, but will be putting some beans on to soak for sure.
ReplyDeleteOH I love intrigue and a cliff hanger. Can't wait to find out the changes!
ReplyDeleteI'll be back to read the news--for now I'm a wondering........
ReplyDeleteI need to stay out of the grocery stores for awhile as our house is so stocked, the grandchildren are starting to comment that we almost have a store in our home.
I hope that the changes are going to be great for you in the long run....even if you are leaving us hanging! ;)
