Rite-Aid Online Order This Week

I think I am recovered from working the polls.  It was a very long day with not a lot to do.  Primaries are often like that as traffic is not quite high.

I placed an online Rite-Aid order on Sunday.  This week there are various Spend $60/Get $20 in Bonus Cash coupons.

My order showed up today in record time.  Here is what I got.......

1 x R-A masking tape
1 x R-A duct tape
1 x 2 pack Scotch packing tape w/dispenser
4 x Scotch packing tape w/dispenser
2 x 3 pack Scotch cellophane tape
2 x Japonesque nail file packs
1 x Japonesque face tool

They also threw in a sample pack of Zyrtec wipes for free which I wasn't expecting.

The total came to $61.68.  No coupons were used(online order and there were no digital Qs).  I did use a code for 25% off(since I bought some R-A items)so got $15.42 in discounts so paid $46.26. I paid with Bonus Cash.

I earned back $52 in new BC(3 x $8 wyspend $15 Scotch, 1 x $8 wyspend $12 Japonesque and $20 wyspend $60 promo).  Plus when you spend at least $34.99 shipping is free too. 8-)  And a Zyrtec sample thrown into the mix as well.

All this useful stuff for a $5.74 moneymaker?  Yes please!!

Now I wait for my second online order to arrive which I placed on another account on Monday.

This Week on the Dining Table

The "I Got Nothing" Edition....

Recovering from Saturday's sale and preparing to work the polls tomorrow.  The house is a mess and needs putting back together.  I can't get motivated to do much right now so am putting off a lot of stuff.

Onward to the meal planning!

Here's what was planned.....
1. Sunday--Applebee's Salad
2. Monday--Fish, leftover mac and cheese, Beets
3. Tuesday--Breakfast for Dinner
4. Wednesday--Leftovers?
5. Thursday--Hubs cooking
6.  Friday--?
7. Saturday--?

And here's what actually happened........
1. Sunday--Applebee's Salad
2. Monday--Fish, leftover mac and cheese, Beets
3. Tuesday--Subway subs
4. Wednesday--Leftovers
5. Thursday--Tuna Noodle Casserole, leftover Beets
6.  Friday--Chicken Yakisoba w/Veggies
7. Saturday--Chinese Tale-out

Chicken Fajitas and Breakfast for Dinner didn't happen last week again. sigh.  Lots of take-out(3 times!)as I was in set up Stockpile Sale mode and was not in a state of mind for cooking and too busy with that and Hubs didn't take up the slack in the food department.  The only meals I "cooked" were Fish/Beets meal and Tuna casserole(the yakisoba was a tv dinner).
I feel like I've been dialing in meal planning and cooking for awhile now.  Why can't I live on a cruise ship and just go to the restaurants when I am hungry?  This cooking thing is for the birds sometimes. lolz

What got put into the freezer last week....
*  Nothing

What got taken out of the freezer and used...
*  Fish portions
*  2 tv dinners

I spent $0 on food/toiletries/HBA this last week. This brings our food/toiletries/paper goods Total to $0 for May.

There are 15 shopping days left in May.

I've earned $15.25 on Ibotta in May.
I've earned $0 on Checkout51 in May.
I've earned $0 on Coupons dotcom/Paypal in May.
I've earned 0 points from shopping on Fetch in May.
I earned 0 Kicks from food shopping on Shop Kick in May.
I've earned 0 Swag Bucks from food shopping on Swag Bucks in May.

That's $15.25 in rebates(not counting the Shop Kick/Swag Bucks/Fetch)on $0 in grocery spending so in reality it's -$15.25 spent after the 3 rebate apps I count.

My savings percentage for the last week was 0% (without "regular" Rite-Aid trips)and the monthly savings total for May comes in at 0% so far(w/out R-A).

Leftovers going into this week....1 portion of tuna casserole. Ugh I'll have to cook a lot more this week.

Here is this week's "food plan".....
1. Sunday--Fend for Yourself
2. Monday--Breakfast for Dinner
3. Tuesday--Working Election Polls so ?
4. Wednesday--Chicken Fajitas
5. Thursday--Hubs cooking
6.  Friday--Homemade Flatbread Pizzas, Salad
7. Saturday--?

What do I need to buy to fix everything on this menu? Still need mushrooms for the Fajitas and Salad Greens.  I'll need to go to the grocery store this week.

What is getting fixed and served at your house this week?

Was last week's plan successful, did you go off plan or did you not even plan what was going to be eaten last week?

Any great deals on food at your stores this week?   Great deals considering inflation nowadays.

Sale Aftermath...How Things Turned Out

Here's the set-up for the sale........

And here is what was leftover afterwards.........

Half of what was on this table is gone.  This is after restocking it.

Again, almost full after restocking it but there are big holes where product use to be.

Top shelf half empty, middle shelf sparse and bottom shelf only had two packs of pull-up diapers left.

I have to laugh because this white shelf wasn't part of the sale(I forgot to move it back in the garage).  It was filled with bottles of drinks but people bought about half of those drinks. lolz

Lots of stuff sold off of this makeshift table.  The 5 cosmetic items were added later and that green basket was overflowing with cosmetics at the beginning.

The white basket was overflowing with deodorants to begin with and the table was filled with stacks of razors.  The 5 packs left were put out/restocked near the end of the sale.

The entire bottom shelf is empty here and only 8 things left on the top shelf.

This shoebox was overflowing with toothbrushes at the start of the sale.  Just 3 kid's brushes left at the end of the day.

Some of the leftovers are being kept, others are going to the food bank and the rest will appear in giveaways still to come in the months ahead.

All in all it was a good sale and put lots of coins back in my pocket. 8-)

Packing Up the Stockpile Sale

I am beat.  Traffic died off around 11 but I stayed out until noon.

But I am flush with cash monies too and got rid of a lot of stuff. 8-)

Over to rest my knee and recover.

Here's a happy tune for today.....

Frugal Friday....the May 13th Edition

So here are a few of the frugal-ish things that happened here this past week.......

*   No food waste this past week.  Leftovers have been consumed mostly for lunches and we have absolutely NO leftovers at this point.  Crap, that means I need to cook. ;-)

*  No shopping at all since a week ago last Friday(except for 1 trip to Rite-Aid where I didn't spend any money).  Eating from what is here except for take-out on Mother's Day and Subway for dinner another night.

*  It's been unseasonably warm here this past week.  That= means not running the heat=we'll have a lower than normal electric bill for May.  Works for me!

*   I found money!

I found a nickel at R-A when I went there on Tuesday.

Not bad for a found money week considering I only went to Rite-Aid one time this past week and I didn't go anywhere else.

Total Found in last Week...... .05¢
Total Found This Year......$12.29

* My trip to R-A on Tuesday also netted me this......

Along with spending $21.10 in BC and gift card I earned back $38 in BC plus $2.50 on Ibotta for buying 2 Degree deodorants, I also got $19 in cash back($15 for the BC coupon the cashier couldn't get to work and $4 for a post coupon).  I'll have to forget to use BC qs more often if it ends with me hauling a bag of toiletries home, as well growing my BC by $17 and $21.50 in cash! 8-)))

That's about all I've got for this past week.

Any frugal wins in your neck of the woods?  Let's hear all about them!

And have a good weekend!  I'm off to finish setting up for the Stockpile Sale....
