Spent Down the Last Card at Rite-Aid

The Bulldog Ibotta rebate was back on my gallery Friday morning so I bought this on the son's card.........

1 x Bulldog face scrub 20% Wellness disc.=$6.07
2 x Nature's Truth turmeric BOGOFree=$15.49
SubTotal.........$21.56

I used a $3/1 Bulldog item L2CQ so the total was $18.56 +.18¢ tax=$18.74 paid for this Bonus Cash.
I now have .52¢ in BC left on that card.

I submitted and have already received $7 in cash rebates on Ibotta($3 Bulldog, 2 x $2 Nature's Truth)for this transaction
.
I now only have $15.05 in BC left between 4 Wellness cards.

But I also have a $15 P&G prepaid card to use by the end of September that I received for free at Rite-Aid spending BC.

The Bulldog will make an appearance in a family member's stocking this Xmas and the Turmeric is something I take daily.  These 2 bottles will keep me in Turmeric for 2 months.

Frugal Friday....the August 23rd Edition

**DON'T FORGET IT'S THE LAST DAY TO ENTER THE GIVEAWAY.**

Here's the frugal goodness we experienced here this past week.............

*  I found money!

A penny at Rite-Aid.
rah!

*  I brought all this home(plus 4 x 12-packs of soda)from Rite-Aid for free.......

* I earned $6.20 in Ibotta rebates from Rite-Aid purchases.  Not only did the stuff bought at Rite-Aid cost me nothing OOP but I got another $6.20 in cash rebates for taking it home.

*  I hit Malacari's produce this past week and found some deals...........

Minute Maid OJ in shelf stable boxes for .99¢.  Not a "stock up for a year price" because they were short dated, but a good deal nonetheless.

They also have these 3 lb. packs of nitrite-free bacon for $5.99.  They are a Canadian made brand and it's divided into 2-1.5 lb. packs and have a sell by date in late Oct.
That makes this $2 lb. for bacon which is a rock bottom/stock the freezer price!  But I only bought one.....for now.  Explanation after showing the next item.

I got 2 packs of these fancy pants meatballs.  Each pack is 1 lb.(12 balls).  This brand runs $4.99 a package at Walmart and even higher at my Weis(PMITA)Markets.

They were 2 packs for $3 at the produce market so $1.50 each.
I can't even buy ground beef for $1.50 a lb. so these were an awesome find!!!

Having made some room in the chest freezer the last few weeks, when Hubs and I were nearby running other errands on Wednesday we picked up more...........

10 more packages! lolz
I've removed all the meatballs from this bulky packaging and snuggled them into freezer Ziploc bags now(except for 2 packs I am using in the next few days).  They have refilled the room made in the freezer.

I will go back in a couple of weeks for more of that $2 lb. bacon once I've made more room in the freezer.  I figured the meatballs would go quickly at that price(and considering how many packages of meatballs they had)but the bacon will be around for awhile, especially since they also have 1 lb. packs of Hatfield bacon for $2.99 there.  Folks(mostly older shoppers)are more apt to go for the Hatfield 1 lb. packs rather than the 3 lb. Canadian "strange" brand(even if that's the better deal).

So it's our secret.....shhhhh....don't tell anyone about the bacon deal there until I can go back and get more bacon.  ;-)

*  Last week it was a movie and this week's splurge is that Hubs' and I went out for Lunch to Bob Evans on Wednesday.  I used a $5 off $25 Q from the Sunday Q inserts. 8-)

*  As part of cleaning Hubs' man cave room out he found these among his crap..........

3 gift cards he didn't finish using the balance of that I had given him when he made the "Rescue Mission Trip" in Nov. 2017 to move his sister.
Those 2 pictured haven't been used at all.  I let him keep the Dunkin' Donuts one for coffee emergencies. lolz
That's $30 in fast food script I thought was gone/used.  It was a nice surprise to have it back in the box o' gift cards. ;-)

That's about it for Chez Sluggy this week.

What frugal wins did y'all experience this past week?
Tell us all about it!

Rite-Aid This Week.....Rolling & Using Up BC

I am using up Bonus Cash as fast as I can at Rite-Aid.  I need to use or roll it ALL by the end of August or lose it.

I bought this.............

1 x $3/1 Bulldog item L2CQ=$3.00
1 x $1/2 Colgate toothpaste ManuQ=$1.00
2 x $3/1 Colgate In-Ad RA Q=$6.00
Coupon Total.......$10.00

$12.45-$10.00=$2.45+.18¢ tax=$2.63 paid for with Bonus Cash.
No BC earned back but I received $3.10 in Ibotta rebates($3 Bulldog, .10¢ for buying any item at R-A).

On Wednesday the Bulldog rebate came back so I did this on my card..........

1 x Bulldog face wash 20% Wellness disc.=$6.07
1 x Kokie make-up brush 20% Wellness disc.=$5.99
SubTotal..........$12.06

Coupons Used
1 x $3/1 Bulldog item L2CQ=$3.00
1 x $2.50/1 Kokie brushes CRTQ=$2.50
1 x $4/1 Kokie item IPQ=$4.00
Coupon Total........$9.50

$12.06-$9.50=$2.56 +.15¢ tax=$2.71 paid for with BC.

And I received another $3.10 in Ibotta-$3 for the Bulldog item and .10¢ for buying anything at R-A.

If the Bulldog rebate comes back on my Ibotta list I'll do that deal a third time, this one on my son's card as he has a $3/1 Bulldog L2CQ too.

I bought 4 x 12 packs of soda on Hubs' card with tax came to $15.80. *no photo*
I used all the BC on that card to pay plus .90¢ on an old R-A gift card to cover it all.  I earned back $3 in BC on that card.

I now only have $3 on Hubs' card, $5 on my card, $6.53 on daughter's card.

Next week the goal is to spend down the $19.26 in  BC on son's card before it expires.

A Little Quickie Giveaway for Couponers

Anybody up for a small giveaway?

Here is what's on offer.......
 A coupon starter kit!

A calculator, a small pair of blunt end scissors for clipping your coupons and a pencil case for storing calculator, scissors and coupons in for toting to the grocery store.
You can add in your own pen too.  ;-)

These are my necessary tools when food shopping.

Even if you don't use coupons(or just digital attached to a loyalty card e-coupons)a calculator in hand at the grocery store is invaluable!  Sometimes shelf tags are there to refer to to figure out the best deal for your money.  Sometimes you have to/need to keep to a certain total and you can't keep an accurate running tab in your head.  A calculator is your best friend when food shopping.

So if you need to replace couponing tools or you are new to couponing and want to do this the easy way come enter this giveaway.

You can post one entry a day.  Just tell me why you want to win this stuff......What tools you use when food shopping......How long you've been couponing or why you want to start..........stuff like that.

The giveaway closes August 27th, Tuesday, at 11:59 pm EDST.  I'll pick a winner at random

*Please note these rules*
I'll post the name/ID of the winner on this blog on August 28th and that person has 48 hours from the time stamp on that post to contact me privately via email(my email addy is listed on my "About Me" page, as well as on my side bar).

If I am not contacted via email, I'll attempt to contact the winner via the email they supplied with their entry(or gave me to add to the Giveaway Data Base)and if that email is not responded to within another 48 hours I'll pick another winner.

Disclaimer--This giveaway is open to those with mailing addresses within the US only.  As the cost of postage to foreign countries has gotten too high I am sorry to say I can no longer afford to mail boxes outside the US.  These giveaways are not sponsored by any companies.  I pay for it all(the cost of items given away and the postage to mail it all)out of my own pocket.
***PLEASE NOTE***
Please make sure there is a way for me to contact you in your comment.

If you're not a registered Blogger User with your contact information on your User page, please put your email addy in your comment or email me your email addy privately when you leave a comment so I can get a hold of you. If your Blogger associated user profile is a GOOGLE one make sure your email info is linked to your profile.

If I can't contact you then you can't win.  I am still having to disqualify entries due to this issue and I sure don't like doing that.  Thanks!
