Last Week's Weis Deals I Got

So I hiked up to Weis(PMITA)Markets between snowfalls last week on the ad that ended 4/4.  I got Mix and Match Deals, Freebies after sales/qs and Meats with discount stickers.

The hefty bags were on sale 2/$4 and I had $3 in Qs($1 on a digital Q attached to my card also came off along with my $2 in Qs)so $5 for 4 boxes.

The chicken broth was a Freebie Friday I talked about last Friday Saturday.

The Dixie plates were on sale 2/$4 and I had .75¢/1 Qs that doubled to $1.50 off so .50¢ per package for paper plates.

I used an 8 O'clock Coffee rain check BOGO paired with 2 x $1/1 IPQs so $3.49 for two bags of coffee.

The Annie's mac and cheese was on sale for $1 each and I had 2 x .50¢/1 Qs that doubled to $1 off so those were free.

The Ken's dressing was BOGO(reg. $2.99 bottle)and I had .75¢/1 vinaigrette variety Qs which doubled to $1.50/1.  At Weis you can use a Q on both items on a BOGO sale so I got 10 bottles for free(gave 2 bottles to Eldest son).

The Red Rose tea bags, Kraft mayo and 38 oz. Heinz ketchup were all part of the Mix and Match Deal(Buy 6 items/Get $6 off).  I paired this $6 deal/sale prices with Qs for the tea bags($1/1)and ketchup(BOGO)making the tea bags $1.49 and the ketchup $1.49 for every 2 bottles(or .75¢ per).
The mayo was $1.00 each after sale price and $1 off MandM Deal AND I got $4.25 cash rebate on Ibotta for every 5 on each receipt I bought.
After taking Eldest son a mayo and ketchup(as well as 2 of the dressings)I had 9 mayos and 15 ketchups in the stockpile and we are set for cook-out season and more.  ;-)

The Perdue chicken was 40% off so $6 and I used a $1.50/1 Q so $4.50 for the bag.

Everything else in the photo above was part of the Mix and Match Deal--I used $1.50/1 Qs on the Sandwich Bros. sammiches making those .99¢ each, the frozen veggies were .99¢ per bag after Deal, the Eggplant Parm was $1.99 and the jar of mayo was .15¢ after sale/Deal/Ibotta rebate.

I also found some meat deals......the Sabrett dogs were on sale $4(reg. $6)and had $1/1 Peelie Qs on them so $3 per pack out the door.

The ground turkey was bought during the 3 day sale(which was last Mon-Wed)BOGO(reg. $3 each)so $3 for two packages.  I paired .75¢/1 Qs which doubled to $1.50/1 and used two Qs so FREE ground turkey.
The stew beef each had a $3 off sticker on them so basically half price and the Hatfield sausage was $3.50 each wyb2 plus each had a $2 off sticker on them so $1.50 per package AND I got $1 back on Ibotta(.50¢ per package)so $1 per pack in the end.  I took most of this meat to Eldest son too.

New in our area Chunky Soup Maxx that were on sale for 2/$5.
I had 2 x BOGO Qs and 2 x $1.50/1 Qs to pair with this sale which would have made all 4 tubs cost me $2 or .50¢ each.
Except remember the free ham cashier?.....yeah, I had him that trip so he scanned the BOGO Qs and they deducted $3.39 each which is the regular shelf price so.....
4 x $2.50=$10.00
2 x BOGO $6.78 and 2 x $1.50/1=$9.78 off
$10-$9.78=.22¢ for all 4 tubs of soup.

This wasn't everything I bought during that sale ad, just the best deals.  $125.25 was dropped on groceries over all my trips to Weis last week.

What grocery store do you feel you get the best deals at?

Shopping This Week

Here's the little bit of shopping I did since last Thursday.

While in Virginia over the weekend I picked up a few things to bring home...........

Some Walmart brand mayo when we did grocery shopping with Eldest son.
Hubs and I hit Ollies(Good Stuff Cheap!)while Eldest was working on Friday and I picked up some applesauce and mandarin orange cups and 2 bags of rice.
Then on the ride home we hit a Food Lion along the way to look for discounted meat deals and I picked up 4 containers of bouillon cubes for cheaper than I can find them for at home.

I also got a pork butt for $1.29 lb...............

I would have bought more(3 more I think)if we had brought the large cooler with us, but alas, we only have the small handheld one.
I want to smoke some butts, cut them to size and then put them into the chest freezer.  That way, we can have barbecue pork anytime we want this Fall/Winter.  You just can't smoke outside here once teh cold hits.  My smoker isn't electric, it's charcoal so the wind and cold keep you from regulating the smoking temperature.

Moving on.........

On Tuesday I had to go to Rite-Aid for drugs so I also picked these up.......

2 x Daylogic 3 blade razors on sale$5=$10.00
Add tax of .60¢ and this came to $10.60 which I paid for with PPs.
I earned back $10 in Plenti Points so .60¢ spent down in points for two razors.

The local Shursave market had a One Day sale(today)so I stopped in and picked up a few things..........

Their private label Greek yogurt was .50¢ a cup today only so I picked up 10.  I get the plain ones and use them to mix with sour cream in recipes(and dips)to bring calorie count and fat content down.  I also use these for breakfast, with the additional of a little honey or fruit and granola and flax seed.  I find the already fruited ones just too sweet.
The turkey breast are half price all week, .99¢ lb. with a limit of 2.  This makes for a cheap protein for dinners.

Cauliflower heads were .99¢ today only and the broccoli crowns were .99¢ all week.  The barbecue sauce was free with the e-coupon attached to my store card.

I am hoping to find a good deal on pork butts/shoulders this weekend or early next week as I'll be smoking said butts/shoulders then.
It looks like no tomato canning or relish making will happen this year.  We missed the peak of tomato picking at the farm we go to since we were gone the end of last week and the weekend.  I could still pick peppers for relish but I am just not "into" it right now.

I haven't been sleeping well so I am going to go attempt a nap, if the construction workers building a massive garage down the road stay on break long enough for me to conk out.

Did y'all find any good loss leaders at the stores this week?

Grocery Deals & Rite-Aid This Week

I went to the town West of here to grocery shop this week.  The Shursave market in town here doesn't accept internet printed coupons so I have to shop at the Shursave market West of us to use IPQs.  Plus they also have a Weis(PMITA)Markets in that town.

The Shursave market shop looked like this........

2 x reduced mushroom packages $2 reg. retail @.99¢=$1.98
1/2 lb.+/- of ham deli meat @$4.99 lb.=$2.67
4 x Kellogg's cereals $1.88 each wyb4=$7.52
SubTotal....$12.17

I used these IPQs.....
1 x .40¢/1(doubled)Raisin Bran IPQ=.80¢
1 x .40¢/1(doubled)Frosted Flakes IPQ=.80¢
1 x .50¢/1(doubled)Corn Flakes IPQ=$1.00
1 x .50¢/1(doubled)Rice Krispies IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total......$3.60

$12.17-3.60=$8.57 OOP
The cereal came out to 98¢ per box after sale/coupons.

Then I hit Weis for 7 more boxes of cereal......

2 x Lucky Charms $1.47 wyb4 GM cereals=$2.94
2 x Cheerios $1.47 wyb4 GM cereals=$2.94
3 x select Kellogg's cereals $1.99 wyb3=$5.97
SubTotal.....$11.85

Coupons Used
2 x Lucky Charms $1/1 IPQ=$2.00
2 x Cheerios $1/1 IPQ=$2.00
1 x Frosted Flakes .40¢/1(doubled)IPQ=.80¢
1 x Apple Jacks .70¢/1(doubled)IPQ=$1.00
1 x Corn Pops .70¢/1(doubled)IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total.....$6.80

$11.85-$6.80=$5.05 OOP for all 7 boxes.
Plus there is a $1/2 rebate on select GM cereals on Savingstar dotcom so after that comes in the 7 boxes will cost me $4.05

As I only eat Raisin Bran and Cheerios of that above what the kids don't want(or the nephew)will go to the Food Bank.

Then I hit the mother lode of discounted meats at Weis in this town.
If only I had had more room in the chest freezer I'd have bought more.

Altogether I got-
9.32 lb. pork shoulder picnic
7 lb. whole chickens
3.52 lb ground lamb
5.76 lb. boneless/skinless chicken breast

30.46 lbs. of assorted meats for $27.65 or an average price of .90¢ a lb!

The b/s chicken $1.23 lb.  Marked down to $1.98 lb. but the packages each had $2 instant discount stickers on them.

 The ground lamb $1.98 lb.

The pork shoulder was marked down to .98¢ lb.

The whole chickens .59¢ lb.

They also have pork butt $1.28 lb. and ground beef $1.69 lb.(but it was 73% lean so I wasn't interested in that).
I could have scoffed up 20 more pork butts, 12 rolls of ground beef, and 11 more packages of chicken or lamb or whole chickens, plus chicken leg quarter packs equally as cheap if I had freezer space.
But I didn't so I left most of it for others to find.

In the meat group shot there are also two packages of Oscar Meyer deli meats. These are regularly $4.50 per package but were on sale for $3 yesterday.  These two packs had $2 instant discount stickers on them so they each cost me $1.

Some whack biscuits(on sale and I had Qs), 50% off Bakery items(muffins and bagels)and 2 boxes of decaffeinated tea bags and 3 8-packs of Powerade for Daughter(on sale for $3.99 and I got $3 off for "spending" $15 on Coke/Nabisco items-based on regular shelf price-so the drinks were $8.97 for all) brought this shop to $59.23.
I used the $6.48 left on one of my Weis gift cards(which were paid for in 2016)so I am OOP $52.75 for everything I bought at Weis Markets.
My savings percentage on both of these shops came to 60.88%.

Meanwhile at Rite-Aid.....

The town also has a Rite-Aid where the prices aren't jacked up higher like in my Rite-Aid so I did the nail polish Sally Hansen Deal on two of our cards.......

4 x SA nail color BOGO50%($2.99/$1.49)=$8.97 + .53¢ tax=$9.50
Paid for with Plenti points.
Earned $10 in new Plenti points($5 for every 2 bottles bought)so a .50¢ moneymaker.

I did that deal on two of my cards.

I also popped into my Rite-Aid on the way home to see what first Wednesday(Wellness Wednesday)samples they were giving out............

Saline wipes and pain patches I took home.

And after seeing what the 1 day only coupons were I decided to buy this.........

4 x Russell Stoveer sugar-free candies reg. $2.79/$2.23 with 20% Wellness discount=$8.92
I used 4 x $2/1 RS sugar-free candies 1 Day Wellness Wednesday Qs=$8.00 making each bag .23¢.
So I spent down my Plenti points .92¢ to get 4 bags of candies.
I am such a spendthrift, aren't I? lolz

Unfortunately they were out of the thin mints variety(my fav)but I got some other kinds to try.

I spent $61.32 on everything pictured above(plus more).
Regular retail value on everything I bought was $191.82.
Not a bad day's worth of shopping, huh?

And looking at all these photos I just realized that I still have my Xmas tablecloth on my kitchen table.
;-)
