For SonyaAnn.......a CVS Plan!

My bloggy buddy SonyaAnn asked me to put a CVS plan together for her for this sales week.  She's got a $5 off $40 Order CVS Q burning a hole in her frugal pocket.  And she's starting from Zero ECBs.
If it was me, here is what I'd buy.....
First thing is I'd concentrate on what is giving ECBs this week.
Then I'd concentrate on what Qs out there could give me a low OOP.
Then I'd use any FREE ITEM Qs I had laying around in my binder that I haven't used yet.  This part gets my pre-Q total up(hopefully over $40)so I can use the $5/$40 Q without shelling out any money on said items.

Here's what I'd buy.....
1 x Complete contact lense wash=$8.99
3 x SoftSoap Body Wash products on sale $3 ea.=$9.00
2 x Herbal Essence Shampoo on sale=$5.49/2
2 x Crest Rinse items on sale $3.49=$6.98
2 x Oral-B toothbrushes on sale $2.99=$5.98
1 x Right Guard Body Wash on sale=$3.88
SubTotal...$40.32

Coupons to Use
1 x $5/$40 Purchase=$5.00
1 x $1/1 Complete ManuQ(4/3SS)=$1.00
3 x $1/1 SoftSoap Body Wash ManuQ(3/27 SS)=$3.00
2 x Free Item Q Herbal Essence(from Facebook)=$5.49
2 x $1/1 Crest ManuQ(4/3 P&G)=$2.00
2 x $2/1 Oral-B ManuQ(4/3 P&G)=$4.00
Coupon Total....$20.49

$40.32-$20.49=$19.83 OOP

I'd receive $21.97 back in ECBs(Complete $8.99, SoftSoap $3, Crest Rinse $5, Oral-B toothbrushes $1.98, Right Guard Body Wash $3), so if I rolled those next time into more free products, this lot of goods would end up 'costing' me -$2.14.  ;-)

If the Right Guard Body Wash had peelie Qs on them, you'd have another $1 off in Qs for a total OOP of $18.83.
And if you got the BOGO Right Guard Q in your 3/13 RP insert, you could get 2 bottle of Body Wash instead of 1 for the same OOP.

If there are things here you don't need/want, remove and add other items that are cheap/free after sales/coupons.

Rite-Aid this Week.......The Cough Syrup Made Me Do It!

So #1 son has been having allergy/sinus problems while home for college break.  He's on my last bottle of cough syrup in the house.
I went to Rite-Aid to get this.....

We love us some Delsym in this house!

At any rate, this stuff is NOT cheap.  The smaller bottle runs $10.49.  The house brand/generic of it runs $6.99.  But by using different types of coupons at Rite-Aid, and buying other stuff too I can use the overage from the coupons to get the Delsym brand for LESS than the generic brand's price.

Here's how I did it.....

1 x Delsym NOT on sale=$10.49
1 x Listerine on sale=$3.50
2 x Nivea Lip Care on sale BOGO=$2.99
2 x StayFree Pads on sale BOGO=$3.99
1 x Wet n' Wild Makeup on sale 40%off=$2.39
1 x Bliss Xmas Candy on clearance 75%off=$1.24
SubTotal....$24.60

Coupons Used
1 x $5 off $20 AdPerks Rite-Aid IPQ=$5.00
1 x $1.50/1 Delsym ManuQ=$1.50
1 x $2/1 Any OTC Cold Cough Med Wellness CRT Q=$2.00(on the Delsym)
1 x $1/1 Listerine ManuQ=$1.00
1 x $1/1 Any Oral Care Item over $1 Wellness IPQ=$1.00(on the Listerine)
1 x BOGO Nivea ManuQ=$2.99
2 x $2/1 Any Skin Care over $2 Wellness IPQ=$4.00(1 for each Nivea Lip Care)
1 x BOGO StayFree ManuQ=$3.99
1 x $2/1 Any Beauty Product over $2 Wellness IPQ=$2.00(on the Wet N' Wild Makeup)
1 x $1/1 Any Seasonal Item over $1 Wellness CRT Q=$1.00(on the Xmas Candy bag)
Coupons Total....$24.48

$24.60-$24.48=$.12 OOP
Reg. Retail Value of $37.92
Savings of 99.68%

I know the 2 Wellness Skin Care on the Lip Care items was pushing it, but the cashier and manager had no problem taking them.  Lips are skin, right?lol  I figured that if they wouldn't take those I could try the $2/1 Beauty Product Wellness Qs on the Nivea Lip care that is more of a Lip Gloss with color, hence a 'beauty' product.  Either way, I was going to try to get that $4 off those purchases.  This may be a YMMV situation though, depending on your store and manager.

I must say that once this Wellness Program comes to your area, DO SIGN UP!  Not only do they send you emails with links to PDF Wellness coupons to print, but you also will get Wellness coupons printed on the bottom of your CRT in the store.
Add in the AdPerks coupons you can sign up for, the $x off an $x Purchase coupons Rite-Aid releases now and again, store sales, Single Check Rebate items, and of course, Manufacturer's Qs, and you have just SO MANY opportunities to save money in that store!
And speaking of SCRs.....

This purchase qualified for these SCRebates.....
$2 Wet N' Wild Makeup
$3 Listerine
$5 Total

So $.12 OOP-$5 in Rebates=$4.88 Moneymaker!!

My Rite-Aid OOP for the month so far........$13.00
My Rite-Aid Single Check Rebates so far....$31.00
Overage of $18.00 for January SCR Period
