Weis Deals This Week

Here are some deals I picked up at Weis last Friday.........

The regular Eggland's Best eggs were on sale for $1.87 this past week.  I used a .50¢/1 ManuQ that doubled to $1 and paid .87¢ for that dozen.
The cage-free EB eggs were a Friday only deal for BOGOFree.  At Weis(PMITA)Markets if you buy just one on a BOGO you pay half price.
I used another .50¢/1 ManuQ that doubled to $1 and paid .99¢ for those eggs.

I also got 6 cans of soup for .49¢ per can(a Friday only special), 4 large cans of tomatoes on sale that week for $1 per can and used a .80¢/4 ManuQ that doubled to $1.60 off making each can .60¢.
I bought 3 more cup o' noodles(new flavor)and paid $3($1 per cup)then made $3.07 back on Ibotta(3 x .97¢ cup o noodles + .10¢ for buying anything.
The weekend warrior and midweek bonuses in my gallery at Ibotta this past weekend/week were only for $1 wybought 12 offers so I didn't even try this week. lolz

I spent a total of $12.88 last Friday at Weis(and earned $3.07 in rebates).

I went back to Weis on Wednesday looking for discount meat stickers(it's the best day at my store to find them)and found all this.........

2 x Weis 12 pack of "gourmet" meatballs on sale for $5 wyb2=$10.00
1 x thin sliced top round steak for braciole on sale=$7.31
1 x Perdue whole roaster chicken in cooking bag=$11.00(ouch!)

The meatballs were $6 off(1 x $2 off sticker on one pack and 2 x $2 off sticker on the other pack)so $2 per pack after discounts/sale.
The top steak had a $3 off sticker on it so $4.31 for 1.22 lbs. or $3.53 per lb.(that's less than they charge usually for ground beef here at Weis).
The Perdue roaster had a $3 off sticker on it PLUS I had a $2/1 IPQ for that so I paid $6 for the oven ready chicken.
The chicken and meatballs went directly into the freezer and I'll marinated the steak today and serve it as cheese steak sammies tonight with a salad for dinner. ;-)

I also had tp and paper towel Qs expiring so I used those..........

2 x Scott towels on sale $6=$12.00
2 x Cottonelle tp reg. price=$16.78

I used 2 x .75¢/1 Scott pt IPQs which doubled to $1.50 each making the towels $4.50.
I also had a $2/2 Scott digital Q on my card and that came off too! making the final price on the towels $3.50 per pack.  8-)

I used 2 x .55¢/1 Cottonelle IPQs which doubled to $1.10 each making the tp $7.29
I also had a $2/1 Cottonelle digital Q on my card too that came off making the tp $6.29 per pack.
And I had a $1 Cottonelle Ibotta rebate so I got another $2 back in rebates so in the end the tp was $5.29 each.
I totally was not expecting those digital Qs to come off but I'm glad they did. ;-)

And with this talk about COVID-19 heading toward a pandemic situation it's no time to let the paper products stock get low.  Just sayin'.

I also lucked into this deal in the produce department.........

2 x 10 lb. sacks of potatoes for .99¢ per bag.  Reg. price around here for 10 lb. bags of regular white taters is anywhere from $3.99-$4.99.
An employee was just putting them out while I was walking by so I snagged 2.  Now I just have to come up with ideas on how to use them as we aren't big tater fans usually. ;-)
I'll make chowder, bake some, make potatoes au gratin from scratch and maybe make Ex-CB some hash browns and do a Breakfast for Dinner one night.

I also found all this in the baby department on clearance...........

I was able to use $2.75 in IPQs as well on the Gerber items besides the 50% off price.  I am not counting this in my February food budget though and it will be going to the local food bank sometime in March but I wanted to mention it in case anyone out there shops at Weis and wants to look out for these deals in the baby food section.

I am now over my $400 monthly food budget for February by $6.39 so I guess I'll stop going to the store this month now except for this Friday's freebie at Weis(PMITA)Markets. lolz

Weis Deals Recently

I've made two trips to Weis in the past week, a $29.52 trip and a $18.20 trip.

Here are the deals I found.......

I hit the coffee clearance and got 2 bags of 8 O'Clock for Ex-College Boy at $2.74 each,
The large Folger's can for Hubs was $4.24 and the Tim Horton's were $3.44 each.
The Kaluha coffe was $3.84 on clearance and was up for grabs for any of the coffee drinkers that live here. ;-)

This pack of chicken sausage was $5 and had a $2 meat discount sticker so $3 out the door.
We lovee chicken breakfast sausage so thought we'd try this sweet Italian pack as it was cheap.
Anybody ever have these?

I saw this lone Corned Beef on that trip as well. It was originally $19.61(3.93 lbs. @ $4.99)but the yellow tag had it marked down to $11.75 plus there was a $3 instant discount sticker on it as well so I thought I paid $8.75 for this hunk of meat.
My receipt however rang up with a $15.72 discount on the $19.61 price so it was $3.89 at that point.  Discount the instant meat sticker of $3 and I paid .89¢ for this corned beef!  They must have not put another lower priced yellow sticker on to lower the price per lb. cost and then someone in the meat department put a $3 instant discount sticker on?  I just know I got 3.93 lbs. of corned beef for .89¢. lolz

On Wednesday I did the Mix and Match 6/Get $3 Off Deal.........

4 x Huggies Wipes on sale for $1.99 ea.=$7.96
2 x Cracker Barrel dippers on sale for $1.49 ea.=$2.98
SubTotal........$10.94
I used 4 x .50¢/1 wipes IPQs(which did not double this time....sometimes they do even though they say "do not double")and a .50¢/1 digital WeisQ came off and that DOUBLED....go figure!
So $3 off in Qs and the $3 instant Mix and Match discount=$6 off.
$10.94-$6=$4.94 for all 6 items.
Plus I got $1 back on Ibotta for the CB dipper things

These new Cheez-it items were on sale for $1.97 ea. when you bought at least 3 so 4 came to $7.88.
I had .75¢/1 IPQs that doubled to $1.50 each plus the cashier rang one through twice(and the register took it)so I got $7.50 off this $7.88 purchase making all 4 cost me a total of .38¢! 8-)

On that trip I found some petite pork ribs at $1.29 lb. which are in the smoker as I type this out.  I know this is something my brother who is on the way here for Daughter's graduation will eat.
I also got a de-boned turkey breast half w/a $2 instant discount sticker so it was $2.63.
They also had Promise 2-pack spread on clearance for $1.80 so I picked one up.

Not a lot of goodies but they were really good goodies! 8-)))

What finds have you had at your local stores lately?

Weis Trip on Wednesday

After getting freebies at Rite-Aid I hit Weis(PMITA)Markets.
Since I'd already spent $105.82 total at Maine Source and Price Chopper this week I didn't need to pick up much at Weis this week.
Of course there were Meat Discount Stickers so I got more than I was planning.

The planned was the feta cheese, the cuke, the bag of salad greens and the loaf of bread in this photo.
Also planned were 2 x 8 packs of G2 Gatorade(not pictured but bought).

These were the unplanned purchases--2 packs of marinated ribs, 1 pack of boneless pork chops, 2 packs of small steaks and 1 pack of stewing beef.

$42.85 worth of meats for $18.79 after sales and instant discount stickers.
That's a 56.15% savings over regular retail just on the meat!
The ribs will probably make an appearance for July 4th cook-out, the stewing beef will go into my chili, the pork chops will be panko-ed and eaten as pork tenderloin sammiches and the small steak cuts will get cut up further and marinated for kebabs on the grill.

And if you notice that bag of salad in the first photo it has a 50% off produce sticker on it but the cashier missed it........

So instead of getting it for 1/2 off at $1.49, got it for free after pointing the error out to Customer Service and they gave me $3 cash making my salad free + earning me $1.50
This brought my total OOP spending to $32.93 for $68.88 worth of reg. retail items or a savings rate of 52.19%.

Anytime I can save 52.19% on food is a good day.  8-))

Shopping This Week....A Swimming Good Deal!

I went up to Weis(PMITA)Markets yesterday and bought a few things.

Unlike most of my grocery shopping trips I didn't only buy items that were on sale....shocking, right? lolz

Sometimes the things you need(like the largest head of cabbage known to man and a 1/2 gallon of milk)just aren't on sale.
But I did find a killer Deal on Salmon so check it out........

I know I've been trying to eat down the freezers and haven't been looking for frozen food stock-up opportunities but I just had to bring that salmon home at that price......wouldn't you?

I spent $35.07 but I saved $46.17 on $81.24 worth of food or 56% over regular retail overall.

I'll take that any ol' day.  :-)

Weis Shopping This Week

There were some deals this week at Weis(PMITA)Markets that I wanted to get in on so I went out this morning before the snow flew to shop.
If you shop at Weis you may want to get in on some of these offers.

I hadn't planned on buying paper products/cleaners but this Buy $30/Get $10 Deal paired with coupons I had was too good to resist.........

This all came to $30.72(sale prices-I never try to run off the reg. shelf price on Kimberley-Clark stuff at Weis anymore because last time the Catalina didn't generate when I did).
Subtract the $5 of Qs and I spent $25.72(plus tax).

Between the $6 I already have spent on Huggies wipes on  a trip to Rite-Aid, and the items here that qualify for the SavingStar "Buy $30/Get $5 Kimberley-Clark" rebate, I have enough to have earned that $5 reward into my SavingStar account.
$25.72, subtract the SavingStar $5 Refund, and I am at $20.72 OOP.

Add in the Catalina that the machine spit out............

And this lot of products "cost" me $10.72.
Good deals for TP, towels and dishwashing liquid.

Then I did the Customer Appreciation Sale Deal(buy 8 select items and pay .88¢ ea.).  Some of the select items are on sale $1 this week if you don't buy 8 at a time, some are regularly priced at $1.29 or more.
Here is what I got..........

4 whole grain variety Barilla pastas
2 Spaghettios w/meatballs(for College Boy)
2 Weis facial tissues
Total with sale........$7.04
I used 2 x .75¢/2 Barilla Qs(coupons dotcom)which double to $1/2 so paid $5.04 OOP, making each item .63¢

I goofed up on this.
I should have gotten 3 Spaghettios and 1 facial tissue instead.  This would have kicked in a SavingStar Q for .40/3 Spaghettios and my per item price would have dropped to .58¢ each.
I may go back with 2 more Barilla Qs later this week and do this deal again utilizing the SavingStar Q too.

I also bought this stuff.......

The hot cocoa mix is to replace the less fresh box in the Giveaway box.  I have a Q for .40¢/1 which doubled to .80¢ off the cocoa plus it was on sale.
That's how we roll around here............ ;-)

The Oreos are for College Boy.
On sale for $1.97 this week and I had .50/1 IPQs that doubled to $1 off each, so Oreos for .97¢ a bag.

Weis had Furmano's tomato products(the big cans)as part of the Customer Appreciation Sale for .88¢ each, however there was a blinkie box hanging off the shelf, with $1/3 Qs for Tuttorosso tomato products AND the Tuttorosso's were on sale for $1 a can.  After the Q was applied the Tuttorosso's were only .66¢ a can making them a better deal than the Furmano's at .88¢ a can.

If I hadn't had my trusty calculator with me to do the math I might have bought the less good deal.

The halal chicken was $5.24 after $2 instant meat discount Q on it, making it just over $1 a lb.
Both OM Deli meat trays had $2 instant meat discount Qs on them so I splurge on a lb. of deli meat for $6.98.  Much cheaper than the deli counter meats which were $10 or so a lb.

This applesauce was also a good deal this week.
On sale for $1.37 each, limit of 4(I am lucky to see applesauce in cups for $2 a package here).

I had 4x .75¢/2 Musselman's ManQs from the 1/4 inserts(thanks to my sister in-law not wanting them!).  I used 2 Qs and will go back later this week to use the other 2.
So each package, after the Qs doubled to $1, cost me .87¢.
Sweet!
Hubs likes to take these in his lunch.

I had 2 x $1/2 Hanover frozen Veggies Qs and they were on sale $2 each so the veggies cost me $1.50 a bag.  These are the "premium" gold and silver line of veggies.

The Helluva Good cheese was BOGO and I had a .55¢ ManQ that doubled up to $1, making each block of cheese $1.09 and a half($2.19 for both).

Then I bought this treat because it's my birthday and it was on sale.......
$5.99

And here is the only thing I bought at Weis that was FULL PRICE.........

A bag of Coleslaw shreds for $2.49
Yah, I could have bought a head of cabbage and cut it down myself but being frugal with other items let's me be a spendthrift with a bag of coleslaw and not have to worry about it. lolz

This bag will see us through 2 meals......with fish and then again with bbq sandwiches.

My savings rate over regular retail was 45%, I earned 20 gas points and that $10 OYN order Catalina Q.

Groceries This Week

Well so much for just buying eggs at the grocery store this week.  ;-)

I went up to Weis(PMITA)Markets for eggs....2 dozen for $3.

But I ended up buying all this......

While I was in the store I browsed the produce.  After last week's carb fest I was feeling the need for more greens.
I found cole slaw mix, baby salad greens and collards all 1/2 price w/instant discount stickers.
I also found croissants 1/2 off on the bakery rack.
We needed Greek Yogurt and a big tub of Cabot was $3.50.
The coffee was BOGO and I had a $1/1 Q so 2 bags for $4.69 total.
I was craving a pork tenderloin sandwich so picked up a small pack of that.
I found fresh cod fillets for $4.88(to go with the cole slaw of course).
The perdue breaded chicken cutlets were on sale $4 and then another 40% off so 2/$4.80.
Then I found meat discount stickers on some no nitrite bacon and hot dogs making them reasonable in price.
The best find was packs of Dogfish Head Brats......

$6.99 on sale for $5.99 this week.
These had $2 instant discount stickers($3.99)AND .75¢ peelie Qs(which doubled to $1) so I paid $2.99 out the door per pack.  Not bad for a special treat I don't pick up often.

OOP $39.91 on $72.21 of groceries.
A 44% savings rate.

I can live with that. 8-)
