No Sew Fleece Blanket.....Xmas Idea

A few years ago I wanted to make Kim a fleece blanket as I found a fabric full of doughnuts(her favorite food group).

But I already had Essential Tremor so bad I was unable to sew(though undiagnosed as of then).

So I found this lady who I am assuming had had a stroke and only had partial use of one arm/hand, with a tutorial of how to make a fleece blanket where you didn't have to tie knots(as not having the use of two hands, knots were not going to happen for her).

This has got to be the easiest no sew fleece throw pattern on earth if anyone gets a mind to make one as a Christmas gift.

I pulled up this tutorial again this week to make this Christmas gift for someone.....

  1. This is a traditional high school graduation gift for seniors from our church members. Each graduate gets a fleece tie blanket. Often it's either in their future college colors, or the recipients favorites. Members sign up to make one for each graduate if you have a special relationship with that senior, or just volunteer in general. I've lost track of how many I've made. My daughter made one for each of her grandma's in highschool colors when she was in middle school so they could cheer in warmth! I now have Mom's. Six years ago she made her dad one for cozy movie nights. You can imagine how he liked it after a long cold day. It's the favorite when watching something in the family room. They are special gifts and your recipient will love it.

  2. I remember Kim posting the donut blanket. It is such a cute fabric. This is a fun way to make really cute gifts. Happy Thanksgiving!!
