Rite-Aid.....Trying Some Deals & They Worked!

So I had to go to R-A for drugs so I tried a couple of deals I saw online so see if they would work.........

1 x Crest 3D White Glamorous White teeth whitening strips($46.99-20% Wellnes discount)=$37.59
1 x Jolly Rancher candy on sale=$1.50
1 x Twizzlers candy on sale=$1.50
SubTotal......$40.59

Coupons Used
1 x $12/1 Crest strips L2CQ=$12.00
1 x $5/1 Crest strips L2CQ=$5.00
1 x $10/1 Crest strips any In-AdQ=$10.00
1 x $12/1 Crest glamorous white Q in R-A Beauty Pamphlet=$12.00
Coupon Total.....$39.00

$40.59-$39.00=$1.59 +$1.24 tax=$2.83 paid in BC
Received back $3 in new BC($1 wyb2 select candy, $2 wyb select candy)

BUT.......
The cashier got to talking and was spacing out and hit the complete button before putting in the $10 In-Ad RAQ and the $12 Beauty Pamphlet $12 Q. sigh

Two different Crest L2CQs came off which were loaded on this card I used...both for whitening strips, one for $5 and another for $12.
Now I don't know if the cashier had put both these Qs through if it would have kicked off one of the two L2CQs that came off.
So I got 4 coupons applied to one item...crazy!

So I brought home $22 in cash for the Qs she forgot to put through, thus converting $22 worth of BC to cash.  This card with the new $3 in BC has $19.68 in BC attached to it.

Select brands/types of candies are double dipping for both a weekly and a monthly deal.  Types that quailfy are Twizzler twists and/or nibs in cherry and strawberry(not licorice)and Jolly Rancher hard candy, assorted flavors bags.
The Weekly Deal is Buy 2, Get $1 in BC and the brands are shown in the ad(limit 2 deals), the Monthly Deal is Buy 2, Get $2 in BC and is Twizzlers/Jolly Ranchers/Red Vines(limit 4 deals).
Bags of these candies are 2/$3 this week so buy 2 that qualify and get $1 weekly BC and $2 monthly BC so free after BC earned.

I didn't think I'd find the Crest strips on a Friday, none on the shelf where they are but I found 1 on an end cap display.

Not bad......a .17¢ moneymaker in total after cash back and BC earned.
And now I can have movie star teeth!

I Want Caaaandyyyy!....Back to Rite-Aid for Chocolate

I still had some BOGO candy bar Qs in my pocket so I went traipsing back to Rite-Aid yesterday....

I won't bore you with the nit-picky figures.
Total before Coupons....$31.11
Coupon Total.....$21.03
Used $10 +Ups received for buying last mound of candy bars....$10.00
$31.11-$21.03-$10.00+Up=$.08 Out of Pocket.
And that 8¢ was put on my handy dandy free Rite-Aid gift card.

I should have bought 1 less $.50 candy bar and the OOP should have been $.18 but....
the cashier rang the 1st BOGO candy bar coupon for $1.59 and not the max. amount it allowed which was .99¢.  I caught it and told her so she rang the rest up correctly but she didn't go back and change that 1st one.
So I had an extra 50¢ to cover and threw in another 50¢ candy bar.
Oh, I received another $10 +Up Rewards for buying another batch of $25 worth of chocolate/candy advertising in the sales flyer.
So I basically just rolled that $10 +Up into more free candy bars and added a $1 +Up for buying the 2 Oatmeal boxes!

My teens are just thrilled to pieces with me lately!....I wonder why?  ;-)

Then I went back to the local store to pick up my Rxs last night and got this.....

2 x Quaker Oatmeal on sale $2.50=$5.00
2 x Pistaschios on sale $2.99=$5.98
2 x Colgate Toothpaste on sale BOGO=$3.79
1 x Lady Speed Stick Deodorant on sale=$2.95
1 x Aveeno Shampoo on sale=$5.99
2 x NYC cosmetics(1 Lip Gloss/1 Nail Polish) on sale BOGO=$1.99
SubTotal...$25.70

1 x $5 off $25 from activating my wellness acct. online IPQ=$5.00
2 x $2/1 Quaker Oatmeal IPQ=$4.00
2 x $1/1 Pistachios IPQ(all you website)=$2.00
2 x $1/1 Colgate Total Toothpaste ManuQ=$2.00
2 x $1/1 Colgate product AdPerks/VV IPQ=$2.00
1 x $1/1 Speed Stick AdPerks/VV IPQ=$1.00
1 x $1/1 Speed Stick Flu Booklet Q=$1.00
1 x $4/1 Aveeno Hair item AdPerks/VV IPQ=$4.00
1 x $1/1 NYC item IPQ(all you website)=$1.00
Coupon Total....$22.00

$25.70-$22.00=$3.70
Used $3 in +Ups....$3.70-$3.00=$.70 Out of Pocket put on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I received $6 in +Up Rewards back....($1 WYB 2 Quaker, 2 x $1 Pistachios, $1 Aveeno, 2 x $1 NYC items)=$6.00
So I spent $3 +Ups and received $6 back.

A few comments....
*There is a AdPerks/VV Q that can be stacked with the In-ad Q to make the Deodorant $.99 OOP. The Deodorant Q is NOT serialized and can be printed and used more than once...but you have to print the number you want to have at once since you can't go back and print them again later once you have printed them.  The non-serialized Qs end with 122510(that's the expiration date for the Nov. viewed AdPerk/VV Qs).

*The Buy 1 NYC item, Get 1 NYC nail polish prints 1 $1 +Up Rewards for each item, even the free nail polish item.  Be sure to select the $1.99 nail polish and NOT the $.99 nail polish if you want the +Up to print.  The $.99 polishes do not produce a +Up Reward.

*It has come to my attention that you can use more than one AdPerks/VV Q in your order, even the serialized ones, which you can only print and use once.  You can only do this by accessing/having more than 1 AdPerk/VV account.  You can have other people print Qs from their AdPerk/VV accounts and give them to you to use in addition to your own AdPerk/VV Qs.  However you can only use 1 AdPerk Q per item(besides stacking ManuQs with them).  For example, I bought 2 Colgate Toothpastes.  I had 2 $1/1 Manu Colgate Qs, one for each tube.

I also had 2 $1/1 AdPerk/VV Colgate item Qs...one was from my account, one was from my BIL's account.  I stacked one of these Qs with each of the ManuQs for the toothpaste.  1 Adperk Colgate Q was in his name, 1 in mine.  Both scanned through with no beeps or problems.
I hope I made this point clear as mud. ;-)

Isn't It Always The Way.....

....when You (I) go offline for a few days(a week), that some tiny(earthshattering) deal comes along and you (I) don't get to appreciate(take advantage of) it?!?
Seriously.
It's always the way it goes, right?!

So I leave my coupons and my beloved Rite-Aid behind for a small little oceanfront getaway and THIS HAPPENS.....

Yes, I'm sure all you Rite-Aid-istas(not me) saw this unfold last week where 'mystery' $2 +Up Rewards were magically appearing on receipts that made your(not mine) candy purchases FREE after +Ups.
And I(not you) am down at the shore, with Rite-Aids lined up along the main drag there and NO internet access to find out about this deal until I(not you) got home late Thursday evening.

I tell ya, it was difficult to soldier on with my life knowing I missed some premio sugar scores with Trick-or-Treaters baring down on my front door in a few short weeks..... ;-)

I did hear that 1 lone variety of Skittles was still spitting out the Mystery +Ups on Saturday and I had 1 lone +Up that was expiring that evening so I forced myself to head over to my local Rite-Aid to check things out.

Here is what I brought home with my limited clipped/printed coupons.....

1 x Gallon of Milk=$3.28
2 x Maxwell House Coffee on sale $2.99=$5.98*
2 x Nivea Lip Recovery Balm $2.39 with 20% wellness disc.=$4.78**
1 x Sally Hansen Nail Polish $2.99/$2.39 w/20% wellness disc.=$2.39***
2 x Candy Bags(1 Skittles/1 Jolly Ranchers) on sale $2.50=$5.00****
SubTotal....$21.43

Coupons Used
1 x $4 off $20 Wellness AdPerks/VV IPQ=$4.00
2 x $1/1 Maxwell House Coffee IPQ=$2.00
1 x $.50 of $5 Candy Purchase Wellness IPQ=$.50
Coupon Total....$6.50

$21.43-$6.50=$14.93 OOP
+Ups used.....$10, $2.50, $1, $1=$14.50
$14.93-$14.50=$.43 put on Rite-Aid Gift Card

+Ups earned....2x$1.99(Nivea), $1(2xCandy), 2x$1(Coffee), $2(Choc Club)=$8.98
SCR qualified for...$2(Sally Hansen)
So that's $10.98 back to me, against the $14.50 in +Ups I spent.

*After Qs and +Ups generated the Coffee cost me $.99 each.
**The Nivea variety I bought was regularly priced $2.99, which was the sale price on the other varieties in the store.  Since I get 20% off the reg. price, these were $2.39 each and when they each generated a $1.99 +Up they cost me $.40 each after all the discounts.  I sure wish I had had some coupons for the Nivea but of course our region never gets Nivea ManuQs in the inserts. 8-(
***The nail polish was $2.39 after wellness 20% discount and earned a $2 SCR so it cost me $.39 in the end.
****As for the candy bags.....there was 1 lone Crazy Cores variety of Skittles in the store so I picked that up along with the Jolly Ranchers.  As the cashier rang the CC Skittles up, he noticed the bag was opened.  I didn't want to have to run to the back of the store for another bag of candy(hehehe) so I told him to use that opened bag to ring it up and I'd go back and get a replacement bag after we finished the transaction.  I also said that was the only bag of that variety so I'd have to get a reg. Skittles bag instead, which was on sale for the same price/deal.  So the 2 bags gave me the $1 +Ups and the CC Skittles bag he scanned generated a $2 "Mystery" +Up.  In the end I got $3 in +Ups for the 2 bags so both bags cost me $1.50 or $.75 each after Q and +Ups received.

Coffee...$1.98
Milk...$3.28
Nivea...$.80
Nail Color...$.40
Candy...$1.50
$7.96 left after Qs/+Ups used-$4 AdPerk Q on $20 order=$3.96 is what everything "cost" me in gift cards/+Ups.
