  2. You can never have enough hair elastics. They disappear constantly for some reason. I've never been on an "actual" vacation or away from home for more than two days. Hopefully next summer.

  3. The thing I love most about summer (as a kid & now an old person) is the hot, hazy, slow days where time kinda stands still. I love planting my garden and checking each day to see what it will give me. The grandkids red cheeks & hair wet from sweat while having a grand ole time at my little farm. Today was one of those days!
    Thank you for your generosity!

  10. Well, I'm not a fan of summer - I hate, hate, HATE the heat and since we get a summer full of 100 days....YUCK. I'm thinking the m&m's might make all those hot days not matter so much....lol.

  13. I read the word chocolate and my mind drifted. One of my favorite things to do in the summer is make s'mores of course. We do a fire pit at least once a week.
We are going away this August to the Berkshire Mountains in Massachusetts. We are staying at my sister's timeshare so it will be a low cost vacation. We cook most of our meals because hubby has food allergies. We will go hiking and swimming. We plan on going to a farm and spending lots of time relaxing.
Thanks for doing another giveaway. I will eat the chocolate. My daughter can always use the hair scrunchies and makeup. Good luck everyone.

  15. Oohh count me in for this great giveaway,! Summer is a great time of year and I'm appreciating it more this year siince I taught almost 6 months this year! As a kid we stuck close go home for summer break. My mom was a school teacher so she didn't want to do much but lay out and recharge for the next year - I get it now. We didn't mind as kids... We rode our bikes and went to park & revc program, we went to the beach in RI, mini golf and soft serve treats. My parents had a popup camper from the late 60s and we used to have sleepovers in the yard in it. It was simple & fun!

  16. When i was a child, we played with sticks, seed pods, the dogs, and chickens on 10 acres. Mama turned on the radio when she wanted it on, when we all napped. We had no tv. If we got bored, we could sit down and pick the asphalt off our feet where it stuck like glue when we ran on the melted asphalt road. Good times!

  25. I spent my Summers as a kid up in the Berkshire mountains at my spinster great aunt's home on 60 acres off of a dirt road. During the depression, she worked at a local farm and they couldn't pay her beyond room/board. Once things improved, they gave her this land, the home, and assorted sheds and garage. Various cousins from a very large, extended family would show up for a week or 2 stint until the next crew came. I learned a lot from her, including home canning, sewing on a treddle machine, gardening, fire building, foraging, watching pennies, getting crafty in the kitchen to avoid food waste. Great times.

  48. Since I was homeschooled as a kid, a lot of our vacations were taken during the off season, so summers were a time to just relax; I remember it being a lot like what older generations reminisce about (even though some might call me a "millennial"): riding my bike freely around the neighborhood, running around with the neighborhood kids for hours, reading a lot of books, or just lazing around on the hammock:)

  51. Our ten acres was next to the Natchez Trace. Daddy would get us up before dawn and we would go to one of the places there on the Trace that had picnic tables and was right next to the Pearl River. Mama would pack an iron skillet and food. We had fried egg sandwiches with bacon. Then, we would go down and play in the river. It's a wonder we did not drown.
