Here are our frugal wins for this past week......
* I love going to Kroger here as they usually have marked down salad kits and a small container of tuna salad. I got 3 this week in Virginia but not too many to use up before we left town.
* We also had no food waste last week. We ate everything in the fridge or put it into the freezer before we left.
* Did 3 Flavorwiki taste testings and earned $4.28 over and above the cost of the items. Plus we got to keep the items.
* Traveling is not frugal, but I used hotel points for free or cheaper lodging, then stayed with family in Virginia.
* We bought gas at Kroger, using my points.
* We used gift cards when we had to dine out when traveling.
We stopped at the Bu-cee's in South Carolina on our trip to Virginia and found a dime on the floor.
Inside Trader Joe's I found a dime under one of the checkout counters.
Then my sister in-law found another penny while doing laundry.

I don't remember hearing you were going to Virginia. You will make the six cents, I am quite sure. I have not been out where I would see food deals. But, I did buy Camellia black-eyed peas bogo, making them $1.50/lb. The reason I bought this brand was because the peas do not go to mush when cooked. I don't mind bep going to mush, however.
ReplyDeleteI love Kroger for that reason too. We always get the marked down salads.
ReplyDeleteI had the flu so that saved me a ton of money over Christmas regarding food costs….lol. Cindy in the South.
ReplyDeleteOnly frugality is trying to eat all in the fridge rather than buying anything this week.
ReplyDeleteStayed out of grocery last week. Finished having holiday celebrations yesterday and made a buffet. All the things I had here. Will be eating a lot of leftovers the next while.
ReplyDeleteHave a super week.
I miss Kroger. I used to get so many good deals there. I will send positive money finding vibes your way.
ReplyDeleteYou keep finding money like that you will be able to retire in 4000 years. Keep it up!
