From my delving into my family genealogy I can now count among my ancestors, with surnames the like of....
McCarthy, O'Brien, Sullivan, Redfern, O'Neil, McGovern, Flynn, Bourke and Roche.
And those are just on my father's side.
While mom's side is mostly peopled with English and Scottish ancestors, there are a few Irish predecessors thrown in for good measure.
But the whole world is Irish today, so raise a pint with me and pray for peace between the Orange and the Green.....
