A Little Rite-Aid Shopping

I went into Rite-Aid on Tuesday and got a few little things by spending down my points by $1.55 in total......

On my card I bought a jug of Purex laundry detergent and 4 Jesse's Girl brand lip and eye liner pencils.
After my $2/1 Purex Load2CardQ, the sale price of $2.99 on the Purex and my 20% Wellness discount on the cosmetics this lot came to $7.35 + .45¢ tax=$7.80.  I used Plenti Points to pay for all.
I earned back $7 in new PPs($1 Purex-I had a snail mailed Plenti Points offer, 2 x $3 Jesse's Girl wyb in lots of 2 products)so I spent down my PPs by .80¢.  I now have a jug of Purex to take to the food bank and 4 liner pencils to tuck into future Giveaway boxes. 8-)

Then I bought this lot on my son's card.......

4 x Lip Smacker lip balm reg. $1.99 were $1.59 each w/20% Wellness discount=$6.36 + .39¢ tax=$6.75.  I used Plenti Points to pay for all.  I earned back $6 in new PPs(2 x $3 Lip Smackers wyb in lots of 2 products)so I spent down my PPs by .75¢.  Another 4 items to tuck into future Giveaway boxes. 8-)

The Jesse's Girl and Lip Smackers are part of the same deal(also includes the Julie G's nail polish but nothing in that line was as inexpensive)so you can only do it twice per card/account.  The single tubes of Lip Smackers and the Jesse's Girl pencils are both $1.99 reg. price so if you have the 20% Gold Wellness discount on your Rite-Aid loyalty card you can get these items for pennies after discount and Plenti Points.
Get on down to your Rite-Aid before this sale/deal ends on Saturday evening.

Rite-Aid Shopping This Week

Had to drop by Rite-Aid on Wednesday to order an Rx refill so I did a little shopping while I was in the store.

I read online that there are lots of clearance items in the pet department at Rite-Aid right now so I printed off a couple of Qs and headed up...........

2 x Purina Beneful dog food 3.5 lb. bags clearance($2.12)=$4.24
4 x Snickers candy bars BOGO=$2.30
1 x Friskies cat food can clearance=.24¢
2 x Crystal Water case of H2O bottles sale=$5.00 *not pictured*
SubTotal........$11.78

Coupons Used
2 x $3/1 Beneful dog food(any size)IPQ(coupons dotcom)=$6.00
2 x .75¢/2 Snickers candy bars IPQ(NLA)=$1.50
Coupon Total.....$7.50

$11.78-$7.50=$4.28 OOP

I used Plenti Points to pay and earned back $1 in new PPs($1 wyb2 Crystal Water).
After PPs earned the water was $2 per case.
The candy bars were .20¢ each after Qs, the dog food purchase gave me $1.76 in overage for the $6 in Qs used on it, to apply to the other items.

I look at it this way, I spent $0 on everything but the cases of water and I "spent" $3.28 on those. That price is well below what I can find this item for at the grocery stores so even though I "spent down" my PPs, I saved $ by not buying the water at the grocery stores.  lolz

I'll probably go back before this sale ends on Saturday evening for more water as we were almost out.
Now I just need to keep College Boy from drinking all the bottled water so I can use it for my BiPAP machine.  ;-)

What I Bought This Week at Rite-Aid

First off I had a Load2Card Q for "Spend $20 in Rite-Aid Branded Items, Get $5 Off Your Order" attached to two of my Plenti cards.

Daylogic(a R-A brand)razor blades are $8 and give back $8 in Plenti Points this week(limit 2 offers per card).
DreamHouse candies are also a R-A brand.

So I bought this...........

2 x Daylogic razor blade refills on sale=$16.00
2 x Dream House Jordan Almonds BOGO50%=$4.48
SubTotal......$20.48

The $5 off $20 L2CQ came off....
$20.48-$5=$15.48+.72¢ tax=$16.20

I paid with $16.20 in Plenti points and earned $16 in new Plenti points back.
So all this "cost" me .20¢ in Plenti points.

The Daylogic refill blades fit the Gillette Mach3 handles and way cheaper than the Gillette Mach3 refill blades.
Daughter loves Jordan Almonds so I have already started collecting goodies for Christmas of 2017.  8-)))

My R-A only had 2 packs of blades so I'll try another location to see if I can do this deal again on my son's card(which also has the Spend $20/Get $5 off Q attached to it)to get razor blades and candy for .20¢ in points.

* If you get a raincheck at Rite-Aid for an item that has an In-ad Q that week that makes it a good deal, be sure to cut that Q out of the sales ad and have the cashier staple it to your raincheck, so you get the sale price AND you get to use the Q you would have used IF they had had the item available the week of the sale.  Many stores will also let you staple a ManuQ or IPQ that is valid when you get the raincheck but may expire before the rainchecked item comes in again to the store.  Like on Sunday, I had a ManuQ for $1 off 2 Post cereals that was expiring that day! and the cereal was on sale 2 for $5.  If the store had been out of Post cereal, I would have gotten a raincheck for the cereal AND had them staple the then valid ManuQ to the raincheck so that when they got more cereal the following week and went to use my raincheck, they know I had the ManuQ ready to use during the dates it was valid, so they would accept it.

When in doubt, staple that Q to the raincheck!  If you find a better deal elsewhere before the Q expires, you can always remove it from the raincheck and use it somewhere else too.

$92.97 in Razors and $20.93 in other goodies, I am out $2.31 on my gift card and I am "down" $17 in +Ups or out $19.31 total.
Take out the cost of non-razor goodies and divide my total spent(with tax comes to $15.30) and each razor cost me $5.10.
$5.10 each for 3 nice Christmas gifts for the men in my life.

And I've used/rolled ALL my +Up Rewards that are expiring before Dec. 26th.
