Rite-Aid This Week...Make-Up for Days

Armed with 8 $6/2 Cover Girl IPQs(they reset after last week on Coupons dotcom)and a $10/1 Flonase ManuQ that expired that day and after loading a $1/2 Russell Stover easter egg candies Load2CardQ on each of my accounts/cards, I went up to Rite-Aid on Sunday.

I bought all this on my card.........

2 x R/S Easter eggs on sale=$1.00
4 x Cover Girl eye palettes BOGO50%Off=$18.86
4 x Cover Girl brow pencils BOGO50%Off=$14.36
SubTotal......$34.22

Coupons Used
4 x $6/2 Cover Girl items IPQ=$24.00
1 x $1/2 R/S eggs L2CQ=$1.00

$34.22-$25.00=$9.22

Except 2 x $2/1 L2CQs came off once the cashier scanned my card too.  I am assuming they were for Cover Girl items those L2CQs.  I basically load every Q offered onto my cards so I don't remember what I have unless I look before heading to the store. lol

Two of the CG IPQs beeped and had to be put in manually.

So $34.22-29.00 inQs=$5.22

A $5 Bonus Cash came off and I put the .22¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I earned a $10 BC back for spending $30+ on Cover Girl items so I am "up" $4.78 on this purchase.
The R/S candy eggs are a no brainer if you have that $2/1 L2CQ on your card......two free Easter candies after Q!

I then bought this..........

1 x 120 spray Flonase w/20% Wellness discount=$22.39
I used a $10/1 Flonase 120 spray ManuQ so $12.39.
$12 in Bonus Cash came off so I owed .39¢ off my Rte-Aid gift card.
Between the 20% discount, the $10 Q and adding $22.39 to my Allergy Rewards spending total it was a good deal.  The R-A Flonase is cheaper but with the FlonaseQ the name brand was a better deal!
I also topped $75 in Allergy spending on this card with this transaction, so earned a $20 BC with this purchase.......

Then I bought this on Daughter's card.........

But when the first Cover Girl Q beeped the manager and new cashier read the fine print on the Q and decided that "one coupon per purchase" meant that I could only use one coupon per transaction....sigh....which meant the transaction got canceled and I had to "purchase" every 2 items separately so FOUR transactions.
double sigh.
I wish folks knew the difference between a "purchase" and a "transaction".  ;-)

I really didn't mind the extra couple of minutes this meant but I did mind that inside of being able to use some of my Bonus Cash and/or Plenti Points for one big transaction the total for each of the four transactions was $1+ OOP and I had to use my Rite-Aid gift card instead. UGH!

So she rang up the R/S candy eggs and 2 of the CG items in a transaction, then 2 CG items in a separate transaction, etc until I had "purchased" all 8 CG items.

My "totals" were $1.52, $1.43, $1.26 and $1.26 or $5.47 OOP(.25¢ of which was tax).  Instead of getting to use a $5 or 2 of my $2 BC on this card to pay I had to put all $5.47 on my Rite-Aid gift card.
And again, two different CG L2CQs came off, one on each of two different transactions(when I bought the 2 mascaras and when I bought the 2 eye palettes )and NONE of the CG $6/2 IPQs scanned and had to be put in manually.....they could have done that if everything had been rung up in one transaction.
Ugh again.

I did earn a $10 BC on these 4 transactions for spending $30+ on Cover Girl so I am "up" $4.53 for this purchase.

I have heard rumors that Rite-Aid now that Albertson's is buying them is ditching the Plenti Points sometime this Summer.
I don't want to start a panic over this(until it's confirmed at least)but I've still got about $200 in PPs total between these cards....eek!....which will need to be used up before they disappear.  Nothing is confirmed or an end date for taking PPs it's just something I've seen on a message board so keep your eyes/ears open.

More Rite-Aid.....Free Cosmetics Anyone?

So a $6/2 Cover Girl Q popped up on the coupons dotcom earlier this week along.

There was also a Dentyne .75¢ cash rebate off on Checkout51(rebate expired Wednesday night but it's back for this week too)that paired nicely with a Dentyne sale at Rite-Aid.

Plus all those high value Hershey Qs I have from the Olympics Promo are expiring in 11 days so I needed to get them used up!

And I realized that those Schick razors I bought on Sunday?....you can only have one Wellness card attached to your Ibotta account and I bought them on one of the other two cards NOT attached to Ibotta......so I needed to rebuy them on the card that is attached.  I'll just keep the other two razor packs since they "cost" me $1 each in PPs so I can live with that.  8-)  I also ended up doing the Schick razors on the third card too because $1 for razors is awesome, right?  ;-)

All this meant I bought a few things *cough cough* when I went up to Rite-Aid to get an Rx on Wednesday.

First was this lot..........

2 x CG eye shadow BOGO50%=$9.43
3 x Dentyne gum on sale=$3.00
2 x Hershey candy bars on sale=$1.38
2 x Schick razors on sale=$12.00

Coupons Used

2 x $1.50/1 Hershey bars IPQ=$3.00
2 x $3/1 Schick razors IPQ=$6.00
Coupon Total.......$21.00

$37.34-$21.00=$16.34

Except a $3/1 CG Load2CardQ also came off(didn't expect this)so $37.34-$24.00=$13.34+.28¢tax=$13.62
$2 in BC came off leaving me a total of $11.62, which I paid for with Plenti Points.

I earned back $15 in new Bonus Cash(2 x $5 wyb $10 CoverGirl, 2 x $2 Schick razors, $1 wyb3 Dentyne gum).
I submitted for a $2.25 Dentyne cash rebate on Checkout51(.75¢ x 3 offers-limit is 5 offers)and it's been credited to my account there.
I'll also earn $2 for buying 2 Schick razors now since I used the correct Wellness card finally on Ibotta.

So $13.62 paid in BC and PPs and $19.25 earned back in cash and BC.

Then I bought more CG on my card...........

1 x CG eye shadow kit=$6.29
1 x CG pencil 50%=$3.24
1 x CG brow pencils 50%=$2.39
4 x Hershey bars on sale=$2.76

A $2 Bonus Cash came off so I paid .47¢ on my Rite-Aid gift card.
I earned back $10 in BC(2 x $5 Cover Girl)on this transaction.

Then on my Daughter's card I bought this......

1 x CG mascara=$6.29
1 x CG eye shadow kit 50%=3.14
1 x CG mascara 50%=$3.14
2 x Schick razors=$12.00
5 x Hershey bars on sale=$3.45
Subtotal......$37.31

Coupons Used

4 x up to $1.50/1 Hershey IPQ(took off $1.15each)=$4.60*
1 x $1.50/1 Hershey IPQ=$150
Coupon Total....$24.10

$37.31-$24.10=$13.21

But another $3/1 CG Load2CardQ and a .50¢/2 Hershey's L2CQ came off so $27.60 in Qs leaving me with $9.71 + .17¢tax=$9.88,
A $7 Bonus Cash came off leaving me $2.88 OOP which I paid with PPs.

I earned back $14 in new BC(2 x $5 CG, 2 x $2 Schick).

* 4 of my Hershey Qs were "up to $1.50 off 1" and not a straight $1.50 off 1(they changed the wording near the end of the Olympic Promo-giving away too much maybe?).  I had the cashier scan my Wellness card AFTER she put all the coupons through in this transaction so instead of taking .69¢ off those 4 bars the register took off the full retail price of $1.15 each giving me overage to apply to other items in the transaction just like the $1.50/1 Qs did.

Grand Total Spent in PPs/BC/gift card.......$25.97
Grand Total Earned in BC and cash rebates....$43.25($39 BC/$4.25 cash)

This makes all the above 3 transactions a $17.28 moneymaker.

Since the Checkout51 Dentyne rebate is back this week, you can buy 3 packs, pay $3 and earn $1 back in BC and submit your receipt to Checkout51 and get $2.25 cash back in that account making this a .25¢ moneymaker, no coupons needed.

Hurry and print that Cover Girl Q(2 prints per computer)as well.  Keep your 4 CG items below $22 but over $20 before Qs and BC earned and this will get you some free make-up which is pretty sweet.

Rite-Aid This Week

I went up to Rite-Aid on Tuesday for this week's moneymakers......

Two identical transactions, one on each Wellness card--

2 x Cover Girl eyebrow pencils BOGO50% sale=$5.98
2 x Cover Girl eye shadow BOGO50% sale=$5.08
SubTotal.....$11.06 + .12¢ tax=$11.18

Coupons Used
1 x $3/1 Cover Girl product IPQ=$3.00
3 x $2/1 Cover Girl product IPQ=$6.00
Coupon Total......$9.00

$11.18-$9.00=$2.18
I paid with Plenti Points and earned back $4.00 in new Plenti Points(2 x $2.00 in PPs wyb 2 Cover Girl), making each transaction a $1.82 "moneymaker".

Rinse and repeat.

Luckily I had 2 prints of the $3/1 Cover Girl IPQ(coupons dotcom)before the site pulled it.  Then they reset that Q to a $2/1 Cover Girl one and I could print 6 more of those(using 3 computers-2 prints per computer).

If I had used both $3/1 Qs in the same transaction my total after sale/Qs would have been under $2 and I wouldn't have been able to use Plenti points on that transaction so this is why I split the Qs up the way I did.

Since I don't use make-up all these items go into/were bought specifically for my giveaway box goodies and will be showing up in some of my upcoming Giveaways.

Just trying to "grow" my Plenti Points in preparation for all those Black Friday R-A Deals where what you spend, you get back in equivalent points(=free stuff!).
