Another trip to Rite-Aid on Saturday yielded more goodies.

I used $15 in +Ups and paid .09¢ OOP.
I earned back $5 in new +Up Rewards($1 wyb3 Barilla, $4 wyb $12 Glade).

After +Ups and Q the Barilla was .33¢ a box.
I bought the Emergen-C to go toward the $5 Cough/Cold +Ups Deal(spend $20 get $5).  I have $10.21 tracking toward that Deal on this card.

Then I bought this stuff on BIL's card......

1 x Robitussin Medi-Soothers 20% discount=$5.83

I used another $1/2 Barilla VideoValuesQ, a $1/1 Robitussin IPQ and a $3/1 Robitussin Medi-Soothers In-AdQ totaling $5 off.

I used $3 in +Ups and paid .83¢ OOP.
I received back $1 for buying the Barilla.
The Robitussin gives me $17.49 of tracking on the $5 Cough/Cold +Ups Deal on this card.

I also bought this on my son's card......

2 x Tresemme 'Poo on sale=$7.98
I used the last 2 $2/1 Tresemme Qs totaling $4.00
$7.98-$4.00=$3.98 + .06 tax=$4.04

I used $3 in +Up Rewards and paid $1.02 OOP.
I received back $3 in +Ups(Tresemme).


I then bought various gift cards(using Christmas funds or household funds depending on what gift card it was)and got bonus +Up Rewards totaling $32.

Total +Ups used......$21+Ups
Total +Ups gained.....$41 +Ups($9 in +Ups gained w/out gift card purchases)
Total OOP.....$1.94(not counting gift cards-that money doesn't come out of the toiletries/food budget)
Total value of items brought home.....$60.34

* I discovered on this trip that my Rite-Aid no longer carries those individual Cella chocolate covered cherries by the register!  That was my go to item to get me over the next dollar of spending so I could use a particular +Up Reward amount.  Oh dear, whatever shall I do now?!? 8-(

Be glad that this coming week I only have 2 transactions(so far! lolz)to do.  ;-)

After much rain on Tuesday and ice I was jonesing to get up to Rite-Aid this morning when the 4 Day Midweek Sale started.

Of course the weather was doing NOTHING this morning(it had snowed a bit overnight)but as soon as I got into the car, guess what happened?

* The Medi-Soothers are on sale $5.99 during the 4 Day Sale and there is a $3 In-ad Q making them $2.99 a box.  But if you have the 20% Wellness discount they are $5.83-$3 Q=$2.83.
I also had a $4 off Q that printed on my register receipt last month, so I paid negative $1.17(moneymaker)after both Qs were applied. 8-)

These Medi-Soothersalso count toward the Spend $20 on Select Cough/Cold items, Get $5 +Up Rewards.
So buy 4 of these in separate transactions(if your store only let's u use 1 In-Ad Q per), use 4 $3 Qs and pay $11.32(w/20% discount).  Get a $5 +Ups making 4 boxes $6.32.  Not free but a good deal if you need these things.



I then bought 2 Kohl's gift cards for $40 each(not paid for from my food/toiletries budget)and received $20 in more +Up Rewards.
Bonus savings!
College Boy likes to buy his clothing at Kohl's so I'll tuck these back until he needs new clothes.

I might get 2 more $40 cards tomorrow as well on another Wellness account.

Yes, you only have to suffer through 1 transaction at Rite-Aid this week......aren't you glad? ;-)

I am down to $8+Ups at this point.  I have $1 +Ups that has to be spent/rolled by Nov. 1st and the rest by Nov. 5th.

* It's important to get the most out of playing the drugstore game by knowing what the sales will be ahead of time AND to print coupons when available.
Take this $2/1 Tresemme Q that was available at coupons dotcom.  Some coupons, coupons for products that don't get offered much and any high value coupon($2 or more)go fast on sites.  There are a limited number of coupon prints offered and when they run out, that is it.  I knew this Tresemme Q would go fast, so as soon as I saw it I printed it(most Qs you are allowed to print it twice).  Unfortunately, I didn't hop on Hubs computer and print it again then and by the time I got back from vacation it was long gone.  If you waited until you got the ad for Rite-Aid this week it was too late to take advantage of that coupon for the sale.
I follow "I 'heart' Rite-Aid to see sales ads in advance.  They are also published at places like Slick Deals and some of the Couponing sites.  Just check around online.

I would have done even better if I still had the $5/2 Tresemme ManuQs but I used them already.
I would have only spent down $1 of +Ups in this transaction, using $8 in +Ups to pay and getting back $7 in +Ups.
