Trying to keep sane here in this rehab place. They are trying to kill me with their food. So bad and stuff I can't eat or don't like. I don't want to regain 160 lbs. but I'm sure chicken fried steak smotheted in gravy will do that. Don't ever get sick in the deep South.
I'll leave you with this inspirational video of 17 Jean Val Jean's singing "The Song of Angry Men" from Les Miz.

Yikes! I don’t even like chicken fried steak…that is a terrible thing to feed folks in rehab! Hope you get out of rehab soon! I don’t know how I missed the memo that you were inpatient rehab. I can be daft! Virtual hugs and Prayers. Cindy in the South
ReplyDelete(((((Sluggy))))) Bless your heart. 💕
ReplyDeleteIt is convenient to have allergies some days. And, I never lie about what my allergens are. You have no allergies? They don't have plain chicken, shredded or something? Sorry about that. When I go into the hospital, I may have lots cooked for Tommy to bring to me.
ReplyDeleteHope things get better soon.
ReplyDeleteIs your husband allowed to bring you lunch? Daily? Not assuming he doesn't have a job, bcuz if so, forget I asked this :(
ReplyDeleteOh wow, I'm sorry. Hope you feel better soon. Maybe your hubby can sneak in some good foods.
ReplyDeleteCan someone bring you protein bars and bananas? That’s my go to when food options are limited.
ReplyDeleteHope you escape that place soon!
Wishing you a speedy recovery. I hope someone brings you something edible. Hospital food is horrible here too.
ReplyDeleteA cube/dorm refrigerator could be stocked with suitable food for you.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry. Southerner here but no chicken fried steak and gravy for me. Bleh!
ReplyDeleteDear me that sounds dreadful. Get well soon if only to get out for some proper food.
ReplyDeleteTry having your gallbladder out and not eating for 4 days
ReplyDeleteSluggy - I hope you're able to get decent food, and better yet, decent care. Praying for you.
ReplyDeleteHang in there, Sluggy. Still saying prayers for you. Chris
ReplyDeleteOne time, almost everything on my tray was something I hate--potato soup, apple juice, sweet tea, green peas, orange jello. I was hungry and beside myself when I saw the tray! She took it away at my insistence.
ReplyDeleteSo sorry to hear you're having to vacation in a rehab facility. I know that is not pleasant at all. Please know that I miss your posts and am praying for your swift recover. Hang in there!
