I shop Amish and Mennonite bulk stores, only buy what I NEED (not want), set a budget and pay with CASH (boy does that limit the spending) . Looked up 1940-1950s meals. Added dried beans which means having to remember to soak them. So far this month I have spent $2.89 on a gallon of milk and no eating out.
