Day Nine we headed out from Utah.
We only had about 2.5 hours of driving to do to get to our destination this day.
So we saw a place selling sheds via "rent to own" just like where we lived out East........
Choices to make which direction to go on the Interstate.......
The we came to this sign.......onto I-84 West.
but it was almost a 2 hour detour from where we were headed so we couldn't stop.
Rattlesnake Pass?? Um, no thanks! We'd already stopped at a piece of the Oregon Trail traces back in Wyoming.
Then we spied a storage shed of what else? Potatoes!
And fairly soon we crossed over into Idaho....
Then we saw this exit.........
We wandered around the convenience store/restaurant attached to the gas station to stretch our legs for a bit. That had lots of "stuff" for sale there.
Bullet shaped keychain flashlights.....
I was tempted by these novelty socks, the ones with taco shells with a cosmic background for the Daughter. These were her speed....or the pink poo socks as well. lolz
Thanks but no thanks. We had to get back on the highway.......
Meeting Kim and Joel at their daughter's house in Twin Falls, Idaho.
We got there and Kim was not there. She had made a shopping trip for something or other nearby with her daughter's mother in-law that lives with her daughter and husband. We settled in for a bit and Kim got back soon enough.
Joel drove us to see Twin Falls.*Spoiler Alert-they aren't two falls, just one.
After driving down, down a windy road we parked and went to behold the waterfall(s).
Hubs with his walking stick......
A shot down into the canyon where Evel Knievel landed next to the river.
We adjourned back to Kim's daughter's house for a grilled steak dinner which was cooked courtesy of her daughter's hubby Paul. I was stuffed. Almost everyone else went back out for ice cream at DQ but I stayed behind. It was nice to be sitting in the quiet with everyone gone and not having to be packing up that night and traveling the following day.
When they all returned we sat around and talked into the night before turning into sleepyheads.
Thus ended Day Nine of our Great Western Adventure.
