My son and his wife had their baby late on the evening of Aug.22nd, this past Tuesday.
I am not allowed to share a photo(not that they have shared any photos with me or my DH)of the new one and I suspect they don't want me to share the name or anything else with my friends. But they can't keep me from being overjoyed at the arrival.
I will say that my new grandbaby is a girl! 8-)
Grandma Sluggy
Congratulations!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Grandma!
ReplyDeleteI hope that whatever is wrong will be mended with the arrival of that precious little girl.
Big congratulations! How exciting.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations, Sluggy. Happy for you. Being a grandma is the best. This is Chris
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! I hope that fences are mended and you are able to be a part of your granddaughters life.
ReplyDeleteTo be fair, (and not knowing the story) I wouldn't allow ANYBODY to share details about my kids, least of all as newborns, or in any way stake any claim whatsoever to them. (Now that they are older, I only share details with their permission.)
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on the new addition to your family !
ReplyDeleteCONGRATS on a new little chickadee to the flock!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on becoming a grandparent. Five of my six grandchildren are girls who now range from age 3 up to 20. (The lone boy will be 18 in a few weeks.) Somehow every one of my kiddos is the smartest, cutest, most gifted child ever, I mean all of them are! Amazing how that worked out, huh? I hope the hurt in your family is mended and your new little bundle of love can know the singular joy of having a grandparent in her life. (Faithful reader, never-poster in Kentucky.)
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I know the heartache of not being a part of the grandchildren life. Currently, my grandson's father has been withholding him.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! It really makes me sad when I hear about children withholding what should be joyous things with the grandparents. I also hope whatever is going on can be mended and put behind you. Having a daughter is what completely repaired my relationship with my mother...and shortly after, she was diagnosed with brain cancer and passed away a year after my second was born. It felt so unfair to lose her so soon after our relationship became better due to my children.
ReplyDeleteAww, what sweet news....enjoy that little one!! Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations Sluggy!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! We know your pain. I'm sorry.
ReplyDeleteBabies are such a wonderful gift, but man, are new babies a ton of work. Hope the new parents enjoy all the experiences of life with a new one. If only there could be someone to turn to for some new parenting . Anne
ReplyDeleteI’m very happy to hear your great news and sure hope that the circumstances change for you to enjoy being her grandma! I know my kids (3 out of 4 have kids so far) have all said they had no clue what a parent’s love really meant till they had their own children and it really made them realize how much their own parents had loved and sacrificed for them. I’m hoping your son has that epiphany! Can your other son or daughter intercede to at least allow some pictures or updates? I pray this will pass :(. Jre
ReplyDeleteI don't know why I thought your daughter was having a baby. Congratulations. I know the pain.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you and your husband (and son and his wife of course)!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. That is very exciting.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Cindy in the South
