The "I Keep Telling Myself This" Edition....
Sluggy
So today Hubs and I had our 40th Anniversary.
Ex-College Boy came over to give us this card.......
I've always said this family is bilingual....we speak English and Sarcasm. lol
Inside the card was a gift card to a fancy pants restaurant located near where we are going to be living that all three of them contributed to purchase.
My idea of celebrating a 40th wedding anniversary is NOT going through all your earthly possessions and either packing them up or pitching them into the trash but that's how we got to celebrate it. We bug out of here in 2 weeks and 1 day.
Go us.

Here's what went on this past week at Chez Sluggy........
* Another 2 loads went to Salvation Army this week.
* I used the Bonus Cash on one card to buy a cool mist humidifier since we had to trash our old one after last Winter. I still have a little bit of BC on that account to use up.
* A load went to the food bank.
* I gave away a bunch of stuff to my friends at Rite-Aid this week.
* I did a post coupon for $3 on Monday at Rite-Aid.
* I found money this past week!
That's about all I've got for this past week.
Any frugal wins in your neck of the woods? Let's hear all about them!
And have a good weekend! And stay cool.

The "New To Me Food" Edition....
Sluggy
Sorry this post is a day late but I was traveling on Friday and didn't get a chance to finish this post in time.
Here's what went on this past week at Chez Sluggy........
* Another load went to Salvation Army while I was gone to Sissie's house.
* I made one stop at a Rite-Aid last week going down to see Sissie to spend down more Bonus Cash. One account/card is almost empty now. rah!
* I went to visit Sissie before we leave for Louisiana.
She always pampers me so and I needed a small getaway from home and the chaos there. Really didn't do much as in spend money or go on lots of outings, other than having lunch out two afternoons. Every morning I woke up to an iced tea from McDonald's too as she gets up so early and I am a slug by comparison.* And speaking of butter....Sissie sent a lot of time while I was there baking for her seniors and such that she does for. She sent me home with a variety of cookies and baklavas for Hubs as well.
* I filled my gas tank up before I crossed over back into PA at the station I always stop at when going to Sissie's house. That's .40¢ per gallon saved vs. the cheapest price here!
* I found money this past week!
That's about all I've got for this past week.

The "Ya Don't See That Everyday" Edition....
Sluggy
We are on the countdown to the move. More stuff gone through and packed, trashed or going to charity.
I'm heading to visit with Sissie tomorrow. Hubs will press on here while I am gone. We cleared the top of the shelving in the garage this morning and Hubs car is loaded up with donations to go to Sallie's and we've got a big load for trash pick-up Tuesday morning.
It's coming together but slowly. I hope this short break at Sissie's reinvigorates me to plow ahead when I get back. At least the weather the last few days has been cooler and the humidity has broken.
I probably won't be posting much in the coming weeks, understandably I'll be otherwise occupied. ;-)

**Last week's anonymous creeper can come visit me turned out to be Anne in the Kitchen, who is by no means a creeper. Well at least not to ME. 8-)))
Here's what went on this past week at Chez Sluggy........
* Last week's antique sewing machine person cancelled at the last minute on Sunday so I took the posting down(why would I want to deal with strangers at this point?)and decided to give said item to Salvation Army. BUT one of my Rite-Aid buddies has a daughter in-law who wants it so they came yesterday and picked it up. They also took the almost new deck swing and the collectible Noah's Ark cookie jar. Still need to donate a chair and 2 area rugs to Sallie's at least.
* 4 more bags of food/toiletries for the Food Bank went out this morning.
* Another load went to Salvation Army Thursday.
* The power washer was rented and we got the house scrubbed clean.....
That's about all I've got for this past week.

The "Success!" Edition....
Sluggy
There were 40 valid entries.
Random dotorg helped me choose the winning entry.
And the winner is........
Rose P.!
My favorite trip of all time was going to Niagra Falls! We went about 7 years ago in the winter. And let me say it was the most spectacular view of the falls! While it is very crowded in the summer the winter had some good crowds also. We went on a hike on the icy paths near the falls and we took the elevator down 167ft to the bottom of the falls and in the winter you can see behind them! It was exhilarating to say the least. Would I go again ? Absolutely... with out a doubt! We also saw the bird sanctuary there which was amazing to see so many birds! And we went to Seneca Falls Casino while there. I would say this was the trip of a life time for me! I look forward to going again soon!

Go HERE to enter.
I'll pick a winner on Sunday and post as soon as I am able.
And this will be the last Giveaway until after we move. Not sure if I'll be able to continue to do that or not once we are in Louisiana so hop on this one.
Have a good weekend. We are off to power wash the house. Fun! lol

**First off thanks for the good wishes for our move. We are going to Louisiana to be near our daughter and her hubby for those that inquired why Louisiana. Can't move to NJ near eldest(too expensive and crowded and we've lived there already and don't care for it)and Ex-College Boy isn't settled anywhere yet so can't decide on that. So LA it is, swamps, mud bugs, gators and all.
Someone "Unknown" said they would come visit me in Louisiana but no name signed so I don't know who that is(friend?, stalker?)so that is a little creepy. Please don't be creepy as I will shut down the blog for now.**
Lots of cleaning and clearing out this past week at Chez Sluggy. We are in full on clean/clear mode as the move date approaches.
* I put my antique sewing machine on the local free FB thing and it's leaving on Sunday to go to a new home.
* I've filled another large bag for the Food Bank and it and the other 2 bags all went out this morning.
* The power washer is reserved for this weekend so the outside of the house will be sparkly by Monday.
* I found money this past week!
I am not above trash picking in the trash can outside of Rite-Aid. If there is a receipt on the top of the pile that's not goopy with a coupon on the bottom of the receipt I will pluck it out. That's about all I've got for this past week.
