We have confirmed we are moving to Louisiana and we have a time line.
We have a moving company, arranging for a dumpster too and about to pick the realtor and company to list the house with once we are outta here.
We'll be gone by mid September.
So many details and things to take care of in the next month. I am anxious about getting it all done in time.
We've never had a move this big(this far away)well, not counting when we were newly married. So much stuff and so many ends to tie up.
Wish us luck!!!
Sluggy

ReplyDeleteBest of luck, know you can do it!
ReplyDeleteSounds exciting... And exhausting!!
ReplyDeleteYou're " going on an adventure"!
Hi Sluggy, this is Chris. Congratulations and wishing you and hubby well in this new adventure. We did this 7 years ago and the best thing we could have done. Love being close to our kids and grandkids.
ReplyDeleteI am so excited for you.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations and best wishes for the next chapter. Safe travel and best of luck.
ReplyDeleteOh, wow! You're as organized as I am, so you'll be fine. Start now on the packing. I'm working on a post detailing my lessons learned.
ReplyDeleteSounds great! Had you found/ purchased your house already? That would make moving and figuring what to bring (where it would go) so much easier! I think the summer heat and humidity sounds a little tough but I’m in Minnesota and I hate the cold, ice and snow! I’d take that anytime.
ReplyDeleteVery exciting! I'm sure you'll share some of your decision making process but while not surprised, curious as to why Louisiana.
ReplyDeleteWe retired 8 years ago and moved 2,200 miles to a new home. No regrets. Enjoy the adventure!!
