Total Bonus Cash spent was $389.70.  Earned back $332.00 in new BC plus a $15 R-A gift card(when a cashier didn't scan my $15 BC wyspend $50 Q first), $11.25 in cash for post coupons and $13.40 n Ibotta rebates making it $372.40 back on $38970 spent/rolled making it all cost $14.30 in Bonus Cash.
Regular retail on everything bought was $903.08(w/tax).

This much brought home for so little in BC and no $$ was only possible because I bought gift cards as well....gift cards I needed to buy anyway and that gave me more Bonus Cash to roll.

And I still have 2 online transactions I did that haven't arrived yet and I haven't counted with the above.  Once I get that and tally it up we'll be at least at $1K in products. ;-)

Hope everyone who Rite-Aids found some good deals last week!  What did you get?

Sonya's Rite-Aid Porn

 If you don't want/need to see a dizzying display of freebies from Rite-Aid then just move on.  I know cousin Sonya Ann won't click off this though. lol

Here is what I "brought home" from Rite-Aid this past week/sales cycle............

Full disclosure there are 4 items missing; a package of homeopathic allergy tablets(those boxes on the far left front-I gave one to Ex-College boy Friday when he came over for dinner)and 3 bath chairs/stools(2 go in the tub for folks who need to sit while bathing and 1 is a swivel stool for getting in/out of the tub if you have leg issues-that one I am keeping).  I just couldn't fit everything in this photo.

Items in this Haul.......

* 3 bath chairs
* 6 bottles of Tresemme
* 2 bottled of Method dish soap
* 1 bottle of Dove body wash
* 1 6-pack of Dove bath soap
* 2 bottled of Lubriderm lotion
* 1 bottle of Aveeno lotion
* 2 bottles of Dove hand wash
* 5 bottles of Aveeno face wash
* 1 4-pack of Dove bar soap
* 1 box of R-A brand nasal spray
* 1 box of Advil Allergy/Sinus
* 12 bottles of Nature's Truth vitamins/supplements
* 12 bottles of Sundown vitamins/suplements
* 3 packs of Bic disposable razors
* 4 Bic reusable razors
* 1 pack of Bic razor cartridges
* 1 pack Dr. Scholl's arch supports
* 1 bottle of Kerasal foot relief cream
* 1 package of Compeed blister strips
* 2 Aveeno Baby cream
* 11 Cover Girl assorted cosmetics
* 1 Revlon eye cosmetic(on clearance)
* 8  boxes of  Hyland's homeopathic allergy tablets
* 1 king size clearance white chocolate Reese's cups(needed a filler that transaction)

Total spent in Bonus Cash......$501.65
Total earned in Bonus Cash...$513.00
I also got $15 in cash at the Clueless store for a Spend $50/Get $15 Q and I earned $10.60 in cash rebates on a few items I bought through Ibotta making my "earned" amount $538.60.
That's a $36.95 moneymaker overall.

The one mistake I made was those Baby Aveeno products.  Last time there was a BC Deal on Aveeno the baby items were included so I didn't even notice there was no shelf tag this time. sigh.  If I had I'd have bought something else that qualified for the BC deal.  But they were $2 less than the shelf price at that particular store AND besides the $2/1 IPQs I had to use there were $2 freshness peelie Qs on the jars.  I'll try to sell them at my upcoming Stockpile/Toiletries Sale(more on that later)and if they don't go I can always return them to the store as I ALWAYS save my receipts. ;-)

I may be taking a break from Rite-Aid this week as the sales ad is "meh".  Unless something good pops up....... 8-)))

Have a nice Sunday!

Lots More Rite-Aid Shopping on Friday

We had to go to Hershey for my dermatologist appointment on Thursday.  Usually I like to hit one or two Rite-Aid along the way I don't usually get to while we are down there but the appointment took a lot longer than expected and the doggies were left alone at home this trip so we didn't have time.
I still have things I wanted to pick-up this week at R-A so I went out on Friday and hit 3 stores.

2 x Clairol hair color on clearance=$4.38
2 x Neutrogena make-up wipes 20% Gold discount=$11.18
2 x Colgate toothpaste on sale=$7.00
2 x Russell Stover candy eggs on sale=$1.00
Subtotal...$23.56

Coupons Used
1 x $5/2 Clairol hair color ManuQ=$5.00

1 x $4/2 Colgate toothpaste L2CQ=$4.00
2 x $3/1 Colgate R-A in ad Q=$6.00
Coupon Total.....$21.00

$23.56-$21.00=$2.56 +.38¢ tax=$2.94 paid with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $7 in new BC($6 wyb2 Neutrogena, $1 Russell Stover).
I had a $4/2 Colgate L2CQ that gave me $3 in overage combined with the In-adQs and .62¢ in overage on the clearance hair Color.  Then I earned back .82¢ more in BC than I paid on the Neutrogena items.
I also submitted the wipes to Ibotta and earned $2 in cash rebates($1 per pack)turning this transaction into a $6.06 moneymaker.

I also bought this on the same card at a different store.  I still had a $3/2 Colgate L2CQ on that card...........

2 x Colgate toothpaste on sale=$7.00
1 x Pirate's Booty snack 20% Gold discount=$2.79
2 x Sally Hansen clearance nail polish=$2.98

Coupon Total.....$10.00

$12.77-$10.00=$2.77+.18¢ tax=$2.95 paid for with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $7 in new BC($3 wyb $10 select Colgate, $4 wyb2 Sally Hansen). I didn't expect that the clearance Sally Hansen items would give the BC so that was a nice surprise!  I had to throw in the Pirate's Booty or my Qs would have been .02¢ more than my subtotal but I love that stuff so I didn't mind(plus I had a coupon for it too. ;-)
Spent $2.95, earned $7 so a $4.05 moneymaker.

So I went back and got more SH nail polish on Hubs card(along with a few other things).......

2 x Neutrogena make-up remover=10.86
2 x Colgate toothpaste Gold price lower than sale price=$6.06

I earned back $15 in new BC($6 Neutrogena, 2 x $4 Sally Hansen, $1 Russell Stover)making this a $3.47 moneymaker.

Lastly I bought this on my card at the third store I hit.....

2 x Neutrogena make-up remover=11.18
2 x Sally Hansen Pure nail polish clearance=$4.48

1 x $1/1 Sally Hansen Pure nail color IPQ=$1.00
Coupon Total....$7.00

$15.66-$7.00=$8.66+.52¢ tax=$9.18 paid with Bonus Cash.
I earned back $10 in new BC($6 Neutrogena, $4 Sally Hansen)turning this into a slight .82¢ moneymaker.
I was shocked to see this Pure type SH nail polish on the clearance section as it is sort of a new line.  They had it regular price in the nail aisle except for this one shade.  I only bought it because I had a stray $1/1 Pure SH IPQ which made it better than free after BC earned.  I am kicking myself now for not printing TWO of those Qs when I had the chance as it would have made it a $1.82 moneymaker using 2 coupons. lolz
I bought the wipes instead of the liquid make-up remover(even though the wipes cost more)in hopes that my Neutrogena Ibotta rebate comes back soon so I can submit for another $2 in cash rebates.

So here are the totals for my Rite-Aid Pillaging this week.....
Total spent in Bonus Cash(so far)......$33.08 including sales tax
Total earned in Bonus Cash(so far)....$51.00
Total earned on Ibotta................$2.00

*****Covid Vaccine Update****

This is the strangest thing.
I guess I put it out into the universe yesterday, both on the blog and was venting to my dentist(and her to me)while she repaired my broken tooth about this whole clusterf**k situation on getting an appointment for a vaccine here in PA.

I got a phone call around 8pm Monday night(which I didn't answer thankfully)that went to voice mail.  When I went up to bed later I played the voice mail and it was a pharmacist at a Rite-Aid up in Sayre PA(right on the NY border across from Elmira NY).  He said to call him back.  My first thought was that they had a shot appointment open(vaccine on the brain lately here!lol)even though I KNOW Rite-Aid's system doesn't keep your info when you go on their website looking for an appointment opening and they don't have a waiting list you can sign up for.

But I had a feeling so I went on the R-A website and searched stores in that general area and I FOUND A VACCINE APPOINTMENT IN A R-A ABOUT 20 MINUTES SOUTH OF SAYRE!!!  And yes, I am screaming. ;-)
Of course it's a nighttime appointment and we are suppose to get icky weather today/tonight but I don't care!
Just to be sure, I called this R-A this morning with my confirmation info to make sure it's not a mistake(what? Rite-Aid make a mistake?!lol)and I am really on the list because it would be annoying to drive all that way just to find out I don't have an actual appointment.  And yes, I am in like Flint!

After hanging up with that store I called back the other R-A pharmacist that had called me last night and left a message.  He asked me about a medication I am taking and whether it's working for me?
WTF?!?  I said yes, it's fine and before he could hang up on me I asked him why he had called about that, especially because I have never had an Rx filled there nor been in that store.  He said he gets that a lot.....R-A pharmacists are instructed to make these type of calls to ANY customer in the R-A system if they have down time to check up on if they are filling their meds. ???  So if you don't fill a medication and you buy your Rxs at R-A, don't be surprised if a pharmacist at a store you've never been to cold calls you and asked about a drug you are taking.

If I had picked up the phone for his call that evening and heard him say all that I wouldn't have thought about searching on my phone for an appointment up in that area of  PA at 10pm Monday night.  My brain wouldn't have gone to the place where I thought that pharmacist was calling about a vaccine opening.

I still find this weird.....but I got an appointment, woohoo!

Of course this also means I have to drive all the way back there in a few weeks for the second shot since they didn't get the J&J vaccine.  I'll gladly go back if this helps end this crap!(Plus I can browse around a new to me R-A and maybe find some deals. 8-))

Frugal Friday....The December 4th Edition

Here's a short list of frugal happenings around Chez Sluggy this past week.

*  All the Black Friday weekend shopping was reported on in a previous post so I won't go over all that again.  Let's just say during those 3 days I spent an actual $9.82 out of pocket and brought home a ton of stuff-needs, wants, stuff for gifts and stuff for giveaway boxes as well!

*  A surprise gift arrived in the mail from a blogger/blog reader this past week.........

No one ever sends me gifties(well except for dog butt magnets lol)so thank you reader(you know who you are)!

*  I have hardly left the house since Saturday.  And when you don't leave the house for most of the week you don't spend money, right?  That's frugal. ;-)

*  I found money!

The only change I found were 2 pennies at Weis(PMITA)on Friday when I ran in there for a couple one day only specials.
I can't believe during all my Rite-Aid trips last week I didn't spy a single dropped coin!

Total Found $ This Week.... .02¢
Total Found $ So Far This Year....$52.55

* Speaking of Rite-Aid(lol)I did do 2 shops online with them this past week.  Remember that Spend $50/Get $15 Bonus Cash Deal from last week?  Well they are doing it with online orders this week!
I was hoping the packages would arrive before today so I could show what I got but they haven't so that will happen on the next Frugal Friday report(I hope).  Needless to say I only spent Bonus Cash on these transactions. ;-)

*  My Amazon Chase credit card was due to the tune of  $390.86 last week.  I saw I had accrued $53.62 worth of points on that account.  So I used them to pay down the balance meaning I only had to pay $337.24 to bring my balance to zero.

*  We hit the P and R Outlet a few days before Thanksgiving(I forgot to list this in last week's wins). If you remember, this store puts out food that is short dated for free near the registers if you buy anything in their store.

Hubs and I picked up 2 containers of Half Sour Pickles(too garlicky for me as it turns out), 2 bags of Banana Chips and a 12 pack of individual aseptic milk boxes.  All were free!

That's about it from here this past week..........

What frugaliciousness did you have happen in your life this week?
Tell us all about it!

Rite-Aid This Week

 So if you go online to the Rite-Aid flyer this week there is a $10 off when you spend $40 coupon you can print and use in the store(if your  region didn't get a sales flyer with that coupon in it).

I had 4 x $5 Nexxus IPQs to use so I went and did this deal......

4 x Nexxus shampoo(med. sized bottles)$14.49 but 20% Wellness discount=$46.36

I used a $10/$40 Q, 4 x $5/1 Nexxus IPQs so $30 off.

Total came to $16.36+99¢ sales tax=$17.35 paid for with Bonus Cash.

I earned back $20 in new BC thus growing my BC by $2.65.

go.
me.
8-)

I'll do a couple more deals this week using that $10 off wyspend $40 Q and acquiring some items to donate to the local American Legion which is sending care packages to the troops overseas.

Are you Rite-Aid shopping this week?

Rite-Aid Hijinx This Week

Other than the Robitussin I bought on Wednesday I also bought this on Wellness Wednesday.........

There was a $3/1 WWQ that was specific to Gold Bond lotion-either the Diabetics or the Foot Scrub.
I paired $1.50/1 ManuQs with each bottle, so besides the 20% off for being Gold status I got $18 off with the stacked Qs, paying $10.94 in BC for all.

Gold Bond is part of a "Spend $30/Get $10 BC Winter Monthly Deal" too except we found out that the Foot Scrub does NOT qualify for that Offer after we rang it up.
So I am returning those 2 tubes later today.

The Diabetic variety does qualify for the deal plus qualifies toward the "Spend $50/Get $10 GC Beauty Deal" and I had a $1.50 Gold Bond Ibotta rebate in my account that I sent for(limit 2 per receipt so I got $3 cash back as well).
After the return I will be down $8.26 in BC(not counting the $3 at Ibotta)for the 2 bottles I kept.

After my BC I spent on the Foot Scrub gets put back on my account and the $1.50 Ibotta Gold Bond rebate reappears in my account there, I'll rebuy a different variety of Gold Bond that I have a ManQ for.
An update will follow once I finish off this deal.

On Friday I took the handful of Tresemme ManQs provided to me by "the kindness of strangers(like Blanche Du Bois, yes?)" and bought this..........

I tried to buy 4 in the first transaction but the $3/2 RA In-AdQ wouldn't let me use 2 of them in the same transaction.
The $2.50 wyb3 Tresemme Catalina Q shot out of the Catalina machine after she rang up the third bottle so even though the cashier cancelled the transaction she let me keep the Q. ;-)
Then we proceeded to ring up 2 bottles in a transaction and it went like this............

2 x Tresemme on sale=$10.00
I handed over 2 x $2.50/1 Tresemme ManQ and 1 x $3/2 Tresemme In-AdQ so $8 off, paying $2 in BC on the first transaction.
I couldn't use that $2.50 CatalinaQ because it was more than my total(and I didn't think to add something that was .50¢ to the transaction to use it. ugh).

After that transaction the $1.50 wyb2 Tresemme CatalinaQ spit out of the machine.

So used one of those for all the following 2 bottle transactions along with the ManuQs and the In-AdQ making each total 50¢ in BC(and earning another $1.50 CatalinaQ each time).
Only the CatalinaQ beeped because I forgot to hand that over before the other Qs and/or it had no product to attach to(4 Qs but only 2 items)and I didn't just buy a cheap filler item. But the cashier had a way to work around the beeping CatQ.

But a different cashier screwed something up on the third transaction(and then screwed it up again) and had to cancel and redo that transaction(twice)but $1.50 CatalinaQs still spit out both times she redid it and she handed them to me.  So I left the store with 3 bonus CatalinaQs...............

Total spent in Bonus Cash was--
#1 Tran  $2.00
#2 Tran  .50¢
#3 Tran  .50¢
#4 Tran  .50¢
#5 Tran  .50¢

$4 in Bonus Cash spent on 10 bottles of Tresemme.
And then the Beauty Reward printed on that last transaction since I "spent" $50 before Qs and I got this............

The $10 Rite-Aid Beauty Reward Gift Card.
I now have 2 of these between two of my accounts.

So we spent $4 in BC and earned $10 in gift card back on Friday.
And I have $5.50 in Catalinas to spent too in the next 2 weeks.

When I go in today to return the Foot Scrub I have 4 more Tresemme ManuQ to use as well. 8-)

I also got a "Spend $70/Get $7 off your next transation" Q on one of those transactions too so I have to figure out how best to deploy that once the Black Friday Deals get here. ;-)

Have you done any drugstore shopping lately?

Frugal Friday.....the September 27th Edition

Here is the frugalisciousness that happened around here this past week.............

*  A trip to Rite-Aid for this stuff...

Rolled some BC and converted some to cash through Ibotta rebates.

*  I stocked up on TP............

$33.80 + sales tax for lots and lots of tp!

*  I used a snail mailed Booking dotcom code to book at motel stay for our return trip to Daughter's wedding...........

After we complete the stay I'll get a $45 rebate back on my c/c.  Actually I should count this in 2020 since we aren't going until then. ;-)

*  I also booked our 4 nights in Shreveport through Hotels dotcom.

I used a $200 gift card bought last year which meant the stay only cost $179 OOP.  I sure wish they'd let you use 2 gift cards per booking....then I wouldn't have spent any $ OOP this year on it.

*  I found money!

I went to Weis to get the Freebie but they were out so no pancake syrup for me.
But I did find this penny on the way out of the store.

When I got all that TP at Weis at 50% off I found all three of these pennies at the self-checkout.

Went to Rite-Aid on Monday too and found this .03¢ in three different places in that store...1 at register #1, another at register #2 and the third one in the parking lot next to a car I passed by.

.07¢ total for the week. 8-)))

*  I forgot to put in that we used 2 gift certificates for pizza and stromboli this past week.  These were won last year at the church auction we go to.

That's about it for the week for me.  Other than spending $$ at Weis and OSJL I stayed home and amused myself here by cleaning and rearranging stuff, doing paperwork, getting items up on eBay(and all the work that entails), reading or playing with the puppies.

What frugal wins did y'all have this past week?
Let us know!

Frugal Friday......the September 20th Edition

Here's a few frugal-like things that happened around Chez Sluggy this past week............

*  I picked what will probably be the last of the broccoli on Thursday.  Our nighttime temps are almost to freezing.

Had I known that after the first big heads these plants would keep producing little heads I wouldn't have pulled up the 3 plants that I did.
This little bit will either go into a mish-mash stew this Winter or Chester will get it in his dinner bowl(it's his favorite, the crazy dog!).

Grand total of broccoli grown/picked this year is 4.40 lbs.

*  I found money!(Can you guess that this is the favorite frugal thing when I can post it? lol)

I found this quarter in the Rite-Aid parking lot last Friday.

Then I went to Weis and found 2 pennies.....both at the Customer Service Desk.

Then I found this penny at the Walmart self-checkout.  I spied it at the register across from the one we were using and I scanned my shit so fast so I could bop over there and pick it up before Kim got it. lolz

Then I went back to Weis on Wednesday for something and found the penny at the Customer Service Desk and the dime next to the self-checkout I used.
Weis has some self-checks designated for credit/debit and some for cash.  I always go to(or at least walk by the cash one)because between people not taking their coins out of the slot, the coins shooting forcefully out of the slot and getting lost on the floor and people just dropping their change into the trash can there(and missing)there is usually at least one stray coin laying there.  ;-)

And this coin I spied in the Weis parking lot last Friday while walking back to my car.
I picked it up even though it wasn't a US or Canadian coin.
It's a 1971 UK "New Pence".
Seems it might be worth a couple of bucks if I sold it on eBay. 8-)))

* I got the Freebie at Weis(PMITA)Markets last Friday.......

A jar of pizza sauce.
rah.

*  I also got these deals this past week at Weis.........

Tomato soup was .49¢ a can last Friday if you bought 6.  Between Ex-CB and making my Beef Pie recipe we can handily use these 6 up in a couple of months.

 I got 3 meat items with instant discount stickers on them--a bottom round steak came to $4.27, 8 hamburgers(1.76 lbs.)came to $5.00($2.84 lb.)and a pack of 10 chicken thighs came to .89¢ per lb.  I used half the hamburger patties with 1 lb. of ground chicken and turned that into chili for last Sunday's supper.  The round steak is in the freezer as are 3 of the hamburger patties(I had the 4th one for lunch one day)and half the chicken thighs(the other 5 thighs were dinner on Tuesday).

These were discontinued bags of candy($1.49 on clearance). Each had a $1 off peelie Q on the package making them.49¢ out the door.  The Skittles are my brother's fav so another Xmas gift marked off the list.  The Starburst?......might be in a giveaway, who know?? ;-)

*  I listed some stuff on eBay.   It was a bunch of stuff that's been sitting around here I have not dealt with until now.  We shall see if that yields any sales and cash for my coffers.  I've got more to list and now is the time to get it up there as the Holidays are coming!

*  I received a $5 gift certificate to a local craft brewery in my email.  I have forwarded it to Hubs for his use.  ;-)

*  We sat down and decided on how much more money to move into a CD from our checking account and I promptly made the transfer.  I have to say 2.35% is much better than the .01% we were earning on that money! lolz  Still not enough....thanks a lot Fed, you suck!!!

*  I bought $72.70 worth of food items at OSJL and received back a gift card worth $72.70 in their store.

I got some stuff at Walmart using a few Qs and got $15.35 back in Ibotta cash rebates.

I got this stuff at Rite-Aid and used Bonus Cash, paying nothing OOP.

That's about all from here.

What frugal wins happened in your life this past week?

Wellness Wednesday at Rite-Aid

Just two tiny shops at Rite-Aid on Wellness Wednesday this month.

I had $1.77 expiring that day on my card so I got all this to roll my BC........

1 x Oral-B toothbrush on sale=$4.00
2 x Kleenex 85 ct. boxes on sale=$1.98
SubTotal.....$5.98

Coupons Used
1 x $1/1 Oral-B toothbrush ManuQ=$1.00
1 x .25¢/1 Kleenex L2CQ=.25¢
2 x $1/1 Kleenex WWQ=$2.00
Coupon Total......$3.25

$5.98-$3.25=$2.73 + .02¢ tax=$2.75 paid OOP with BC.
I earned back $3 in new BC(Oral-B)and the BC was rolled.

Then on Hubs' card..........

2 x Russell Stover candy on sale=$1.00
2 x Kleenex 85 ct. on sale=$1.98
SubTotal........$2.98

I used 2 more $1/1 Kleenex WWQs-$2.98-$2.00=.98¢

$.98 paid OOP with BC and $1 BC earned back(Russell Stover).
For some reason no tax was charged on these Kleenex boxes.

I'll probably go back to R-A this week for 2 tubes of Crest(free after Qs and BC)but that's all for me this week.

Another busy day here.  Our new bed frame arrived, the mattress for Hubs' room and Ex-College Boy is off today so he'll be helping me move tubs of toiletries into the garage so I can set up and get ready to hold my Stockpile Sale on Saturday.

After this coming weekend things should settle down a bit for awhile and I can spend more time on computer/bloggy things and also work more on getting my sewing room set up.

What is your Thursday looking like?
